Chapter 89 Prodigal Son

I lost track of how long we had been in the underground. Curl up against Mikey, Klunk curled up in my lap sleeping.

"Do you think they made it?" I asked him.

"I'm sure that they did make it," Mikey said.

Before the tunneler was hit, we jumped out and watched as the tunneler was destroyed from the shadows.

"Michelangelo and human Wings are finished." We heard the foot clan said.

Watching as the tunneler slowly burned and the foot clan robot floated away. We ran off into the subway.

"I hope so Mikey," I replied. "I hope so."

"Get some sleep Tabs," Mikey said. "I'll keep watch."

"Are you sure Mikey?" I asked.

"Yeah," Mikey said.

"Wake me up in a half-hour then we're going to switch," I said.

"Sure Tabs," Mikey said.

Allowing myself to sleep.

As a subway car flew past, I slowly opened my eyes to see that Mikey was sleeping in front of me shielding me from the subway car. Klunk began to hiss and growl, slowly looking to see what the cause of it was.

"Hey Klunk," Leo said.

Slowly blinking before hearing Klunk give her happy mew and start to purr. Before seeing Leo before us petting her.

"Leo?" I questioned.

"Tabs." He said simply.

Tears began to pour out of my eyes, pushing myself up and tackle hug him. He happily hugged me back.

"You're okay," I said gripping him tightly. "You're okay."

Finally letting him go, Klunk mew again and rubbing against my legs. As Leo reached down and woke up Mikey. Which woke him from a dead sleep.

"Uh," He groaned. "Leo is that you? I had the strangest dream you were there and the tin man, and the cowardly lion, the grouchy wrath of the west, and you Tabs."

Leo and I both help Mikey walk away, with Klunk happily following us.

"It's gonna be okay Mikey," Leo said.

As we arrive at the Reservoir Station to find Master Splinter and Donnie. Fresh tears began to flow freely. Don pulled me into a tight hug which I return at once.

"Hey it's okay," He whistles holding me tight. "It's okay."

Reaching up to his face and pulled him into a kiss which he happily returned.

Leo headed out to go find Alex and Raph.

Alex P.O.V.

Finding an abandoned building and I slipped in to find it empty. Pulling Raph along and use a fireball to lead us around. To find an abnormally clean room with a large bed.

"You take the bed Al," Raph said. "I'll stand guard."

"Raph you need to sleep," I reasoned placing a hand on his shoulder. "The Foot thinks us all dead and maybe we should let them think it for a while."

"What about the others?" He asked gripping his Sais tighter.

Thinking back to how we did escape the Foot clan helicopter.

Right as the missile flew with deathly aim.

"Alex shell cycle now," Raph ordered.

Rushing past him grabbing the helmet and hopping onto the back. Raph followed rushing to the driver's spot, throwing the helmet on him and myself as he turns the engine on. Bursting out from the back of the battle shell. We took one last look at the battle shell in flames and smoke before speeding off. Jumping from the shell cycle onto the subway tracks and ran past on the way to Coney Island.

I turned him to face me and placed my hands on his cheeks. "They are alive."

He gripped my own hands with his and meet my forehead. Standing still and allowed both of us to find our moment of peace. Raph looked up and meet with my eyes before pulling me into a kiss. Which I gladly returned, we kept kissing and that we were the only beings at this moment. I was suddenly on my back on the bed. Raph was hover over me. Meeting his eyes, and gently reach up and placed my hand on his cheek. He smiled back.

As we wander the darken boardwalk of Coney Island, keeping a close watch out for foot ninjas. When the sun would show up we would disappear back to the abandoned building and sleep. Taking a spot under the boardwalk as Raph threw an empty soda drink container.

"Raph comes on," I whispered pushing myself from the sand. Wiping it off my butt as I began to walk to pick it up before freezing in mid-step.

"Sorry Alex," He whispered. "It just we need to find them." He looked up seeing me frozen to the spot, He growled, grabbing and spinning his Sais.

"I thought I'd find you both here." I heard Leo's voice.

"Leo?" I questioned.

"Leo?" Raph copied. Giving him a large smile and instantly relaxed. "Leo am I glad to see you." The brother shares a moment. "Leo they found the lair they got to us the others I don't know what happened to them."

"We do know that they are alive through," I added.

"Hey it's okay Raph they're all fine," Leo said. "I found them everyone is okay."

Smiling at Raph took a needed breath, giving Leo a tight hug. Which he returned. My family was back safe and sound.

"I'm glad you're back bro," Raph said.

"Come on let's get back to the others," Leo suggested.

We both nod, and headed out following Leo.

Finding ourselves in Central Park right by the belvedere castle. Slipping into the sewer and followed Leo into the Reservoir station.

"Everyone one I found them!" Leo yelled. "They're okay."

"Hey I heard that you guys were having a party," Raph said.

"Alex," Tabs said running forward and pulling me into a tight which I returned with just a tight hug,

"Raphael you made it!" Don said limping over.

"Yeah yeah," Raph said walking past him. "Whatever. I can't believe the foot did this to us I can't believe they took our home."

"Listen Raph nothing is permanent we have to flow with change," Leo said.

"Perhaps Leonardo has learned a thing or two from the ancient one," Master Splinter said. "Yes, I can see it in your eyes. I have my son back and I can see something else in your eyes you must be careful my son. She will be well guarded and her skills are much improved." He lay back down.

"So are mine sensei," Leo said. "I'll be fine I promise to get some rest. I'm gonna go to get some food and supplies. I'll be back."

"Hey Leo brings back some sodas or something," Raph said.

"And some pizza and Chinese food," Mikey said as Klunk mew. "And some kibble."

Leo came back holding a large duffel bag.

"Did someone mention food?" He asked as he opened and pulled out Chinese rice boxes.

"Chinese food for breakfast works for me," Mikey said.

"I've checked it out and this seems like a safe place Master Splinter we could stay here maybe even fix it up a bit," Leo said.

"It is as the great sage Shinto Sakamoto said the home is where you hang your hat." Master Splinter said.

"This walking stick is said to have come from a very ancient and mystic tree," Leo said holding a large and beautiful craved stick. "I got it with the ancient one. I've carried it all this way for you."

"Ah a very gracious gift," Master Splinter said looking it over with keen eyes. "Thank you Leonardo Welcome home."

They both bow to each other, our family was back together even if we were slightly damage. Enjoying your make sure dinner/breakfast.
