Letters to Apollo

Like any other demigod child, William "Will" Solace never knew his father. And he's somewhat resentful about it. His therapist suggests writing letters to the man not knowing about the gods and Mount Olympus. As Will writes the first one, Hermes notices. When the blonde haired demigod goes asleep, the god takes the letter to his father. Who so happens to be Apollo the god of music.

Dear Apollo,

I'm sure by now Will has told you about Percy and Sally Jackson and their predicament. And I've read the letter you've sent our son, that's how I got your email address. And I NEED that fucken head Apollo!

Please, for the love of your father and stepmother, I need that head. Gabriel Ugliano is not a good person to anyone. I have a strong feeling that he beats Sally. And Percy when she's there. But I don't have any proof.

All the proof fades away from Percy as soon as she takes a shower or a bath or steps out into the rain or in the surf. And Sally will never show her skin to me. I think she's waiting for the right lawyer.

But I know that will never happen. No lawyer will be right in her eyes. Every single one of them will disappoint her like the one before had.

I a feeling that your father, because he's the god of law and justice, would pretend to be Sally's lawyer just to get into her pants. And I wouldn't put it past him. And I don't think Hera will either.

I send Percy to the same therapist I do Will because I'm worried. Sally has given me temporary guardianship over Percy until she figures out what to do with Gabe. Sally fears Gabe will badly hurt Percy because 'she wouldn't corporate'. Her words not mine.

It's total bullshit if you ask me. I've known Sally years before she ever met Gabe. I tried to persuade her not to go through with the marriage. That I would be by her side. But she wouldn't listen and saying that it was for Percy's sake.

I even tried to marry her myself before Gabe got to her. See I know who Percy's own father is. I understand why the daughter of Poseidon needs protection like this. And I know that her demigod scent is stronger then Will's own demigod scent.

I wish Zeus never made that stupid law in the first place. I really wish that you and Poseidon could visit your children. To see how they've grown up. I know that you are partially breaking the law by emailing Will like this.

But it makes Will happier with knowing that his father didn't completely abandon him. That he knows the rules your father made. I know that he wishes that you are here. He wants a normal father son relationship with you.

And the weird thing is, awhile ago Percy had told me that her favorite goddess is Lady Artemis. Your fucking twin. Because Artemis is said to not take shit from any man and not to give a shit about anything or anyone else.

And I have to give the girl props for that. Because the goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals and the Moon gives Percy some form of comfort. But Percy doesn't really care about the chastity part all that much though. I personally think the word chastity kinda freaked her out when she did her research about Artemis.

The look in her eyes told me everything when she saw the title list. It was the funniest thing that I have ever seen. I have a feeling that once Percy finds out her true heritage, Artemis will make Percy her champion.

Anyway, Percy's and Sally's situation is worrying me. Gabe seemed like a good man when he was dating Sally and during the engagement, but then he said 'I do' at the wedding. Then after the wedding and the honeymoon he showed his true colors.

Percy was excited when they came home that day, but after a week she came running to me crying. She said that Gabe had drank a lot of beer and whiskey and hit her across the face. And Sally wasn't there at the moment as she was at work.

Sally had just gotten a six figure a month job that she still has to this day. But because of Gabe, she has had to get a part time job at a nearby candy shop. All of the candy shop's paycheck and a quarter of the other jobs paycheck goes to Gabe's gambling and drinking addictions.

Gabe's part time job at the electronics store across the street also pays for the addictions. When he is not working he is drinking and buying lotto tickets or playing online poker or poker with his disgusting friends.

It only helps that Sally has a secret bank account since she married Gabe. So after paying the bills, Sally puts the last half of her paycheck into the secret account. She has several hundred thousand, almost a million, dollars in there.
