"I feel bad for not hanging out with the guys," Alex said.
She was laying on the sofa looking up at the ceiling.
"I know but we need to focus on the SATs," I replied. "Then we can hang with the guys."
Sitting on the armchair on the sofa as well.
"I know that but still I feel bad." She replied.
"Yeah I feel bad myself," I said. "But as I said before once we take and pass the SAT's then we can hang and relax."
"I'm praying that I get the score to prove Quentin wrong and get into NYU." She said.
Giving her a smile and smirk at the comment.
"Well, we have to prove them wrong then," I reasoned. "Then let's do it."
Alex gave me a smile and nod of my head.
"Mom already signs us up for the Prep class for the SAT," I said.
"Awesome," She replied pushing herself up from the sofa. "When does it start?"
"Tomorrow afternoon," I said.
"Okay," She said back and flash a smile. "We are going to ace this."

Walking up the steps of the Jefferson Market public library. Glancing up at the neo-Gothic building with deep red bricks and a large clock tower. Rushing to the circulation desk. Checking in with them before being told where the SAT prep class was going to be. Seeing that there were at least fifteen other teenagers sitting and waiting with different facial expressions ranging from focused to boring. Taking a sit together and wait for the teacher to come in. The teacher finally came in, a youngest guy walks in wearing brown slacks and a blue button-up shirt. He also had on brown loafers. Brown hair that was slack back and brown eyes.
"Hello everyone, I'm Mr. Banners," He said. "I'm going to helping and teach you how to ace the SATs. So we are going to jump right into it then."
Both of us shared a look and started to pay attention to what Mr. Banners was talking about.
"So how are we going to ace the SAT?" One of the other teenagers asked.
"Well, we're going to talk about the trick and tips of the SAT as well having all of you have a practice SAT to get a good based line and idea of where we need to focus on studying and we want you all to succeed and be able to get into the dream colleges and universities." Mr. Banners said.
"Okay but how can I know for sure that I will get into my Dream College and or university?" another one asked.
"Well if you do well on SATs, ACT's, and acing the interviews and things like that." Mr. Banners said.
Raising my hand and waiting for Mr. Banners to pick me. He pointed at me.
"So I was wondering what is the practice SAT is like?" I asked.
"Well, we would treat the test just like every other test." Mr. Banners said.
"Understood then," I replied.
"If there is no more question we shall begin." Mr. Banners said.

Having these weekly classes was helping but it was taking a mental toll on Alex. Scanning the P-SAT book was killing my mind. Alex groaning loudly, causing me to look up. Shutting the book gave my attention to her.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"This is studying is killing me." She groaned walking over and placed her head on the table.
"Take a breath," I said. "And take a break."
"I'm not going to get a good score." She cried.
"Alex calms down," I reasoned. "Everything is going to be okay."
"How the Hades do you know that?" She questioned.
Giving her a knowing smile, and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You're going to be alright," I reasoned. "We are studying and we are going to pass this SAT."
"How can you be so sure?" She asked.
"Because we are going to study our butts off," I said. "Plus if we are going to make an offering to Lady Athena as well for it."
"Take a breath again," I said. "In, out."
She copies my breath.
"Thanks." She said.
"Feeling better?" I asked.
"Yes." She replied.
Flashing her a smile and pulled open the book to another page.
"Well then let's get started," I replied.

"The recommended daily calcium intake for a 20-year-old is 1,000 milligrams (mg). One cup of milk contains 299 mg of calcium and one cup of juice contains 261 mg of calcium. Which of the following inequalities represents the possible number of cups of milk m and cups of juice j a 20-year-old could drink in a day to meet or exceed the recommended daily calcium intake from these drinks alone?" I questioned reading from the book.
"What?" Alex questioned.
I read the question out loud again.
"These are the possibly answers: A. 299m + 261j_1,000. B.299m +261j 1,000. C 299/m +261/j 1,000. D. 299/m +261/ j 1,000. This one do you think is right answers?"
Alex groaned again, placing her head down on the table.
"I'm thinking." She muttered before shooting her head up. "I'm going to guess that the right answer is A." She said.
Looking down to see what was the right answer was, before looking down at her with a smile.
"So you're right," I replied. "This is the reason why it's the correct answer: Choice A is correct. Multiplying the number of cups of milk by the amount of calcium each cup contains and multiplying the number of cups of juice by the amount of calcium each cup contains gives the total amount of calcium from each source. The student must then find the sum of these two numbers to find the total amount of calcium. Because the question asks for the calcium from these two sources to meet or exceed the recommended daily intake, the sum of these two products must be greater than or equal to 1,000."
"It still doesn't make scent to me," She muttered. "It so dumb that we have to do these tests to just be able to go to college."
"I know but we have to do it," I replied. "So focus."
"I'm trying." She muttered.
Flashing her a smile and nod of the head.
"We are going to pass this pain in the butt," I said.
