Chapter 97 (Good Genes", Part 2)

Not believing what Bishop wanted us to do, but if it would save Don then so be it. I would gladly walk into the pit of Tartarus if it meant that Don would be himself again.
"We will keep watch and keep him safe and sound Tabitha," Leatherhead said.
Looking back at the sleeping Don, he looked peaceful, walking and placed my hand on the lid.
"We will be back Don," I said. "You're going to be back to normal before we know it." Allowing a few stray tears to slide down my face. A hand was placed on my shoulder, looking back to see Mikey. He offered a bittersweet smile but said nothing.
"We will get the relic and get the cure for Don, Tabs," Leo said.
Looking once more, whispering a prayer of healing to Don before following the others. Alex was already back in NYC waiting for the rest of us.

Waiting with the others for the right time to slip into the foot clan lair.
"April comes in," Leo called.
"Go Leo," April said.
"We've made it to the first garbage disposal facility," Leo said as we ran into the foot clan lair. "Time for you and Casey to do your things."
"Casey is heading into the power station now stand by," April said.
"Hey if we gonna put a computer virus in here to shut down the power how come you're not going in?" Casey asked.
"Because I don't look like a janitor," April said.
"Gess thanks," Casey muttered.
"Keep us posted April," Leo said. "Moving into position."
"Roger that," April said.
Heading through the hallway and looked at Leo as he lead us in.
"Well here's where the fun starts," Leo said. We shared a look and headed in.
"All the buildings garbage goes through chutes that lead to the incinerator," April said
Running on what felt like a trill mile.
"We're going in through the furnace?" Mikey asked. "Isn't that that gonna be you know... Hot."
"It's our only way and that's not all the incinerators we fill up the chutes," Leo said as we dodge fire and jump out of the way of garbage.
"Karai has secured with a deadly grid of lasers," April said.
"Great," Alex muttered.
"When the powers drop we go up the vent," Leo said. "We've got to beat the emergency power kicking in."
"Leo why is the grid still on?" Mikey asked.
"Casey, April cut that power or were turtles flambé!" Leo yelled.
"I put in the stupid virus but it ain't working," Casey yelled over.
"Casey!" We yelled as the flames got closer.
"Casey we really need that power out now," Leo said.
"Alright, you stupid computers we are doing this old school," Casey said.
Followed within seconds the grid turn off.
"Grid down," Leo said as the treadmill stops.
We climbed into the vent. "Good work Casey we're in," After getting in the grid came back on with fire roared past. Taking a breath and getting myself to relax for a second. "April go to phase three get to the copter."
"On it," April said.
"Remember we get what we need and get out," Leo said.
"Raph and Alex you know what you two have to do," Leo said. "Mikey, Tabs you're with me let's go."
"Understood." We said and started to climb up the wall.
As we got closer up, we separated.
(Alex P.O.V.)
Raph and I crawled the vent and popped out to what looks like a large storage room with rows of giant foot mechs.
"Whoa," Raph whistled. "Toys."
"Focus," I replied. "Focus on the job Raph,"
Working on setting the explosive charges on the mechs and waited for the signal from Leo. "We good?"
(Tabs P.O.V.)
As we climbed up further than Alex and Raph, using our bodies to climb up.
"End of the line," Leo whispered, before pushing the vent guard out before we climbed out into a hallway.
"Isn't it a little suspicious that Bishop knows exactly where this thing is even what floor it's on?" Mikey asked as he help me up into a hallway.
"Absolutely," Leo said. "We can't wait this looks familiar." He stood up and walked towards two large doors.
"I agree with you Mikey," I said. "It's fishy as fishy is."
We walked after Leo to the doors.
"Karai changed so much of the building we need to find out what floor," Leo said as the doors slowly open before us. A light and fog came from the doorway, we pulled our weapons at the ready. The fog cleared to find ourselves where the mystic ninjas stayed.
"Oh, crud," Leo said.
"Where's Alex when you need her?" I asked.
"And we're backing up avoiding the obvious trap," Mikey said.
"No Bishop's relic is on the floor directly above us," Leo said. "The elevator in the back of this chamber will take us there. We go through."
"Ah, I knew you were gonna say that," Mikey said.
As we followed Leo.
"Take a breath Mikey," I said. "We beat them before."
Moving cautiously through the temple, Mikey gave a shake, pushing him along.
"Mikey keeps moving," I said.
We rushed past them, where Leo easily found the elevator, pushing the button, and slipped in. We shared a look as the elevator lifted us.
"It's going to be okay Mikey," I said placing a hand on his shoulders.
Mikey took a breath, as the doors open to show a wooden room wherein the center of the room was a pillar of gold and brown with the light on it from the ceiling on the top of the pillar was the relic. The floor was different shades of green stones.
"This is it," Leo whispered.
"I'm still getting over the shock of being alive," Mikey said. "Why didn't the magic guys attack us?"
"Can't worry about it now," Leo said as we climbed up to get the relic, which was nested in a red cage. The relic was a golden holder with a crystal in the center. "Come on let's get this thing and get out of here." He pulled his sword out ready.
"You know the second we touch it the whole place is gonna go nuts right?" Mikey asked.
Leo reached with the sword and lifted back and pulled it close. We shake ready for something to happen, but nothing happens, making us relax. Right as the doors open to show Karai in her Shredder gear.
"No what are you doing!" She yelled pointing a metal finger at us.
"Raphael, Bones now would be good," Leo yelled.
(Alex P.O.V.)
Standing on forklift waiting for the call and signal from Leo. A beeping came from Raph's shell cell.
"That's the signal," I said.
"Contact ignition and blast off." He said pulling the remote and click it, causing explosives to roar to life. Causing things to blow up in a fiery kiss. Which made the tower shake.
(Tabs P.O.V.)
The tower shook around us, making us lost our balance. Karai lost her footing for a second.
"Give me the pendant!" She ordered.
Leo threw the pendant to Mikey, as stood before both of us. "Give it to me now!"
She ran towards us, Mikey jumped out of the way and landed on the other side of the pillar, "Give it to me, you don't know what you are doing!"
She slashed at Mikey, Mikey threw the pendant to Leo, who grabbed it and had his sword pointed at Karai.
"Hold it right there Karai," Leo said.
"You cannot take that," She said.
"Watch us," Leo said handing the pendant to Mikey as he sided over.
"See ya wouldn't want to be ya!" Mikey yelled
Racing towards the Elevator as Karai slashed at Leo, who jumped as I sided into the elevator with the door shutting. She threw her arm in, causing Mikey to scream and dropped at she strike at him, as Karai tried to pull the door open, Leo and her started to fight, she kick the pendant out of Mikey's hands, grabbing it before it could break, shielding it with my body as Mikey rushed over. She pushed off Leo and jumped for the pendant, two of them grabbed her legs. Rolling out of her reach.
"Karai please stop this," I pleaded. "We need this to save someone please."
She looked at me with her red eyes and slashed at me. Leo and Mikey pulled her away and threw her out of the elevator doors to the throne room.
"They must not leave do you hear me cut off their thievish hands and bring them to me," Karai ordered.
The elite guards disappeared in a puff of smoke. Right in front of me, two guards appeared before me, rolling back and threw the pendant to Mikey. Hoping up and pulling my kusarigama and swing. The weapons landed right by Mikey.
"Mikey!" We yelled as the other elite ninjas appeared. Leo pushed them back as Mikey and I rushed after him. Jumping over Mikey and pushed the other elite ninjas back.
"Control, intruders have infiltrated the building send all units to my locations!" Karai's voice echoed "They must not escape."
The guard sent me flying back and move to get Mikey, right as a guard when to hit him a green glow summoned him and gave him a moment to move out of the way, all while holding the pendant.
"Mikey take the pendant, and wings and run!" Leo yelled. "I'll hold them up just get out!"
Mikey grabbed me and pulled me along.
"Leo!" I yelled looking back as Leo held them off. As we got closer to the door, a Foot Mech appeared, causing both of us to stop and look unsure. The Mech pushed open the door and came in, seeing Alex and Raph in the driver's seat.
"Get out I just got here," Raph said.
Smiling at the sight of them, they step in, and Raph opened fire. The Elite ninjas disappeared and reappeared on the mech suit and started to break the mech suit. Alex and Raph jump from the driver's seat and run.
"Hey I got an idea how about we get the shell out of here," Raph said.
"I second that," Alex replied.
"I think not," Karai said, as behind her the door open to show more foot ninjas that surrounded us.
"Is the phrase worst-case scenario running through anyone else's mind?" Mikey said.
"It doesn't change the exit strategy," Leo said.
"Casey top floor east wall we need an exit now."
"No!" Karai yelled.
"You've got it, Leo," Casey said.
The Guys pulled us down and we covered ourselves as rockets destroy the wall. As the smoke cleared, pushing off the debris to see everyone was okay at least. Alex walked over to Mikey.
"Oh Auntie M, Toto are we home yet?" Mikey asked pushing off some debris.
"Up and at them goofball," Raph said helping him up. "Casey did it. Let's go."
All of us and Mikey who was carrying the pendant ran to the hole.
"No!" I heard Karai yelled. "Leonardo face me."
As we climbed up the debris. Leo look back and pulled his sword.
"Get in, get outright," Mikey said grabbing Leo's arm. "It's not about Karai right."
Leo put the sword away.
"Right." He said.
We took off running through the debris, and jump off the roof to the helicopter.
"Stop them!" I heard Karai yelled.
Looking back as we flew away from Foot HQ.

Rushing back to Bishop's lab, just praying that we will make it in time for Don. As we landed we race for the bunker. As the door opens to find both Bishop and Master Splinter.
"My Sons and Daughters." Master Splinter said walking over.
"Hand over the item," Bishop said holding his hand out. "Then you'll get your dear brother back."
Fighting back a growl that was trying to come out.
Master Splinter looked at us and nodded. Mikey held the pendant and walked it over to Bishop's waiting hand.
Right as that happen and alert when off. "Destruction sequence initiated!" A robotic voice sounded.
"This Base has been compromised by your presence," Bishop said. "You have 15 minutes to collect your brother and vacate the premises, pleasure doing business with you." He turned and ran off.
"Destruction sequence initiated!" The robotic voice said again.
We rushed following Master Splinter, seeing Leatherhead looking at the containment unit that held Don. He steps back as their gas in the unit.
It opens releasing air, pushing ahead to see. As the air cleared to see a normal Donny. He looked confused. Rushing over and kissed him, not caring if anyone saw me. Pulling away and hugging him tightly. Which he happily returned.
"Hey, Guys what so?" He asked before losing his balance.
"Don?" I asked.
Leatherhead came rushing and help hold.
"I have you," Leatherhead said. "My friend."
Everyone else rushed over and cheered to have him back to his normal self.
"Move it this place is about to blow!" Leo yelled as we ran to the helicopter. Raph was holding up as we moved.
Leo pulled the engine up and off we went as the base before blew up.
"Welcome back my son," Master Splinter said.
"I hope you guys didn't go through too much trouble for me," Don said.
We all share a look not sure what to say or do.
"Nan," Mikey said.

"So became a mutated monster?" Don asked.
After getting a clean bill of health from himself and Leatherhead. Don and I needed some downtime together. Which is the reason why we're sitting on the rooftop, covered in winter jackets and a comfy blanket. A waterproof blanket keeps your butts dry.
"Pretty much," I replied. "Yet you didn't at first attack me but rather just watch me."
Taking a sip of hot chocolate, which streamed rose to the night.
"I'm so sorry Tabs." He said.
"Donny it's not your fault," I responded placing a gloved hand on his cheek. "If it's anyone's fault it's that of Bishop and Stockman, not you."
He turned to face me and smiled, before reaching over and kiss me. Happily returning the kiss, I was just happy to have my Donny back.
Pulling away and smiling at him.
"I truly love you Tabs." He said.
"I love you too," I replied and smile.
Giving him another kiss before cuddling up to him, I was grateful to have him back to his normal self.
