Chapter 100 Obsolete

Waking up and for a quick second, I panic trying to figure out where I was before remembering what happen, jumping into the future, meeting Cody Jones, and everything. Ava was sleeping soundly, looking over to find Alex was gone. Pushing myself up and followed the sounds of yelling to find Alex, the Guys, and Master Splinter were training. Master Splinter was throwing things which was making everyone try to avoid the items by jumping out of the way. Rushing into morning practice, avoiding the random things that Master Splinter had found. Cody came rushing in, much like a child on Christmas morning.

"Whoa," Cody said.

Sterling was chasing after us, Alex easily flipped over me. As Sterling was chasing after Raph.

"Allow me to explain the concept to you slowly," Sterling said. "This is the sitting room."

Raph jumped over a chair and started to kick around as Master Splinter threw a spoon at Leo. Who catch it with his feet, Mikey crashed landed onto Sterling.

"You think this is bad you should see us when we have weapons," Mikey teased.

Right as Master Splinter threw a rolling pin into Mikey making him crash into the ground. I heard Alex snort at Mikey crashing. "More rolling pins."

"This is a disaster!" Sterling yelled looking around at the messed up sitting room.

"Yes, Michelangelo should have seen that coming," Master Splinter said making Alex laugh out loud.

"Hey look what rolled out of bed," Mikey said. "Sup Cody."

Mikey when to walk over only to have Sterling push him away and walk over to Cody and Master Splinter.

"Master I tried to stop these barbarians they have completely wrecked the room I know you'll want to take the appropriate action," Sterling said. "So simply say the word."

"Do it again!" Cody yelled laughing.

Making Alex smirk.

"Oh my circuit boards," Sterling said. "Weren't built for this."

We were all ready for Cody to get the time window up and running. Ava had done some practice with Master Splinter.

Looking at the time window and hope that it would work. Sterling was holding a tray with a fancy bottle hoping that it would work as well.

"Initiating power-up sequence," Cody said wearing weird googles. That we all were wearing as well.

"Man I feel kind of dumb in these," Raph said.

"You gotta make them work for you like so," Mikey said walking over on his hands with the googles on the backside of his shell, causing Ava to giggle at him. Alex just smirks.

"Huh," Raph groaned face plating with his hand "Can we leave him here?"

"Sorry, but we can't," Alex said.

"Time window looks ready Cody," Don said.

"Hold on to your shells," Cody said. "You're going home."

"Bon voyage miscreants don't let the time portal hit you on the way out," Sterling said.

"Bye Sterling." Alex teased with a blow of a kiss.

Cody shot up the machine, right as a purple light appeared around us. A loud bang and smoke appeared, causing us to cough out loud.

"Did he send us to jersey maybe?" Mikey asked.

The smoke cleared more to see that we were still in the penthouse.

"Ah I banged my head against it a million ways," Cody said. "But I can't seem to duplicate the accident that brought you to my time," He turned off the googles. "Sorry Guys."

Slipping off my goggles, which the others had done as well.

"Patience precedes genius young one." Master Splinter said.

"You know maybe if I had better stuff to work with," Cody said. "I mean the equipment I have here is all junk compared to what we could get our hands on over at O'Neill tech."

"What the deal with this company of yours anyway?" Raph asked.

"O'Neill tech specializes in advanced Taren technology and I own it," Cody said simply.

"Then can't you call and have them whip up another time blender thingy?" Mikey asked.

"It's not that simple," Cody said. "Even though I own O'Neill tech I'm too young to run it," The sound of an elevator dinging, followed by large and heavy footsteps, alerted us to someone coming. "My uncle does that for me."

We quickly hide.

"And how is my young ward this morning?" The guy asked.

The man in question was a large and round man, with full beard and hair, dressed in dark colors, with small dark eyes with one of them being hidden by an eyepiece.

"Uh, uncle Darius," Cody said rushing over. "Hi, I bet you're wondering who… huh uh never mind. I guess." Cody turn to see that we were missing.

"Let's talk shall we?" Darius asked placing a hand on Cody's shoulder and the two walked away.

"I don't like him," Alex whispered and shook her head.

"Cody, Constable Biggles informs me that you were out joyriding yesterday consulting with strange aliens and humans," We heard Darius say as they walked down the hallway.

"Me aliens?" Cody asked.

"You are a very important boy," Darius said. "There are people who would take advantage of you, Why give them that chance?" The two walked into the room that contained all our stuff. "You know before he passed I made your dear father a solemn vow to protect you from the dangers of this cruel world, what would he say about your behavior were he still with us hmm."

"Your right uncle Darius I'm sorry," Cody said.

Holding back Alex, who was fighting to break from the shadows and slap Darius and comfort Cody.

"That's my boy," He said before walking towards the Shredder armor. "Hmm, I see you're still collecting these abysmal artifacts."

"Yeah just got some new pieces too," Cody said rushing over.

"Nothing good comes from looking back child," Darius said and placed his hand on Cody's shoulder. "Now stay safe, Stay here. I'll be out of the office but have Sterling call if you need anything." As soon as Darius left, we came out of hiding.

Cody turned and gasp seeing us, Mikey gave a wave.

"You gotta show me how you do that," Cody said. "But first I gotta show you O'Neill tech."

"Ah but you mustn't go out into the cruel dangerous world," Mikey acted out trying to sound like Darius and came over to Cody. "You must stay safe, stay inside."

"Oh that Darius is a blowhard," Raph said. "Let's get going."

Rushing to the Hover shell, which of course Sterling trying to stop us.

"Absolutely not, what about your uncle," Sterling said. "You heard him he said," Both Raph and Don lifted Sterling and move him out of the way. "What cut that out unhand me, you cretins."

"With Uncle Darius out of the office," Cody said, "We can drop into O'Neill tech build some new pieces for the time window and be home before lunch."

"Coming Master Splinter?" Leo asked.

"No my son, the seven of you will arouse suspicion enough," Master Splinter said. "Besides it seems my favorite soap opera has survived these hundred years. I have much caught up to do."

Leo and Master Splinter bow and Leo hopped into the hover shell.

Looked out to see Sterling losing his mind over us leaving, but we took off.

Flying through New York City was still jarring.

"So your Uncle never let you go out?" Raph asked.

"Well no exactly," Cody said. "You know I have compututors and the best holo gaming systems and all the media feeds. Sterling takes care of everything else. The truth is I never really have a reason to leave. "

"That's not really living Cody," Alex said turning to face him. "You need time to be a kid and have fun with other kids our own age."

"Like Alex said," Don said. "It sounds really boring."

"Uh never really bothered…" Cody said before the hover shell shook crazy. "Me."

With the hover shell taking a nosedive.

"We're going down!" Raph yelled. Death gripping the backside of the seat, screaming. "Someone hit the blanks!"

Don somehow got the hover shell to shoot back up, causing us to go flying around the cabin, much like getting Leo to crash into Don.

"Nice save," Leo said.

"It wasn't me," Don replied. "I think something seized the controls we're being hover napped."

"There's one thing we could try an experimental feature I built into the hover shell," Cody said pressing a button with seat belts slipping out. "But we're not supposed to do this in the air. So much for that. Strap in and hang on." He pulled something and the cabin of the hover shell popped out onto the road below which when to tires. "Yeah we've disengaged what's flying now is an empty shell."

We came to a rough stop, but we were alive and well.

"Nice save Kid," Raph said.

"That was amazing is it always like this for you guys?" Cody asked.

"Nah usually Tuesday's our day off," Raph said.

Don started driving again.

"Stay sharp whoever pulled that stunt may try again when they realize they only kidnapped half an empty shell," Leo ordered.

Finally making it to O'Neill tech, we kept to the shadows with Cody leading the way. We can to a stop in front of a circular door, where it slipped open, the guys quickly check to make sure it was safe.

"All clear," Raph whispered.

"Guys," Cody said walking between us. "It's my company remember. We don't have to do the ninja sneak."

"With what just happened," Leo said. "I think it's best if we're discreet okay."

"Discrete?" Cody asked. "Uh I hate to tell you Leo but I sort of called ahead."

"Cody Jones!" A high-pitched female voice called out before appearing. "The Prince himself down from his castle," The girl was a blue skin alien in a purple suit. Pointed ears and lavender-colored eyes, long black hair with blue highlights. "And with friends. Hi Starlee Hambrath, O'Neill tech intern."

"Hi," We all said awkwardly.

"So much for discrete," Leo muttered.

"A little young to be working with such serious technology, aren't you?" Don asked walking over to her with crossed arms.

"Don please nice," I muttered.

"Girls mature faster than boys especially girls from Omatran with five times the brain capacity," Starlee said tapping her head.

"Here, Here," Alex added with a smirk.

"Pretty cool huh Guys," Cody said. "I knew you'd like it, seeing how O'Neill tech was founded by April, Casey, and both of you Tabitha and Donatello."

"What?" I asked turning to face Cody.

"We helped build all of this?" Don questioned. "Whoa."

"Ah get over it yourself genius," Raph muttered.

"Raph," Alex muttered walking to him. "Be nice."

"So what's on the menu today boys and girls?" Starlee asked

"Where can we get something to replace this?" Cody asked pulling some piece of tech.

"Hmmm," She said before skating away. "Come with me guys, this is a transcendental link it takes the user's mental engrams and translates them into executable commands then the Mechs go to work."

This made everyone look at Don or myself, which we both looked slightly annoyed.

"It turns your thoughts into stuff," Don said simply.

"Oh." The guys said.

"You need parts for a special project this tl can crank them out in minutes." She said starting up the machine.

"Can it make ninja weapons?" Raph asked.

"This bad boy can make the best ninja weapons you can think of." She said.

Glass suddenly broke and showered down on us, making us jump and avoid it, right as these four-winged humanoids appeared. Leo grabbed Cody as Alex narrowly avoided being hit, Don moved Starlee. Looking at these things not sure to make heads or tails of them. There each had armors like wings, one was in gold and white, another was red and white, another was brown and gold, while the last one was bluish and grey.

"Let me guess I, would-be kidnappers," Raph said. "What's the matter hijacking half an empty hover shell didn't do it for ya."

"Attack!" The gold and white one yelled.

They ran at Cody, who was passed to Raph. The brown and white one attacked Leo slashing at him. Leo pushed him back. Don pushed Starlee away and jumped on the red's back.

"Totally wishing we didn't lose our weapons right about now!" Don yelled as the winged humanoid tried to get him off. Somehow he was thrown off. Mikey was keeping Cody safe, right as Raph was crashed into the ceiling. Alex tried to push him back only to get thrown back.

Growling as I ran to attack, Starlee flew past. I threw a punch only to get grabbed and thrown back. Mikey attacked the gold one. Alex pushed Cody behind her, watching with keen interest, the Guys were fighting to bring them down. Alex growled trying to keep Cody safe. Ava attacked only to get thrown back as well.

Mikey somehow managed to stop the gold one, by holding him down.

"What you gonna do now tweety?" Mikey asked.

Before the gold one shot up and threw Mikey into a wall.

"Mikey!" Ava yelled.

Starlee rolled to the mech, Cody pushed past Alex to get to Starlee. She ran after Cody. The gold one land right in front of them, Leo jumped over them and landed in front of the gold one.

"What is it you want?" Leo asked.

"Something only the boy can provide," The gold one growled, his talons glowing brightly. "Our freedom."
He started to slash, which Leo avoid them and landed a kick. The red one flew in pushing Starlee and Alex away before grabbing Cody.

"No!" Cody yelled.

The gold one-hit Leo into the ground and flew off.

"Cody!" Mikey yelled.

Pushing ourselves up and rushed over to Starlee, Alex was already up and checking Starlee out.

Don and Leo helped Starlee up.

"Are you okay?" Leo asked.

"Yeah," Starlee said.

"Does anything fly in this place?" Leo asked.

"Hangar bay two levels up," Starlee said.

"Fly those bird brains are gone," Raph said. "And we got no idea where how are we gonna…" The armbands started beeping and lit up. "Hey what's that beeping?"

Sterling appeared on the armband.

"Dare I asked what happened?" Sterling asked.

"No time to play bucket head," Raph said pointing at Sterling.

"Cody is gone I know he had all of your enviro packs linked by proximity beacon," Sterling said before disappearing and a map appeared. "You can track him within the 10-kilometer radius."

The map disappeared.

"Call whatever passes for the police and relay the beacon signal to them," Leo said. "All right let's move."

Don stop us. "Wait what good is following those flying freakazoids if we're just gonna get our shells handed to us again," Don said. "We need an edge like maybe the best ninja weapons we can think of."

Starlee rolled over to the machine and smiled at us.

"Well then," She said cracking her knuckles. "Let's get to work."
Walking towards the machine. It started up with purple energy.

Watching as each of the guys thought of the perfect weapons, we were waiting for our turn at it. Of course, Leo got two katanas, Raph got his Sais, and Don with his Bo staff. Alex slipped in before me and came out with a large smile, attached to her back was a large sword something very similar to her celestial bronze sword, as well as a small sword that was similar to her wakizashi blade. Both of the handles of the swords were black.

"Ladies get in there and get some awesome weapons," Alex said happily and hopped over to the others.

"Good ahead Ava you can go first," I said.

"Okay." She said hopped in.

She was out within fifteen minutes, with a short sword and tessen fan with pink grips.

"Tabs go ahead of me," Mikey said with a smirk.

"Why do I have a bad feeling of what you are planning Mikey?" I questioned.

"Nothing." He replied.

"Whatever you say, Mike." I teased and walked in. "So how does this work exactly?"

Starlee gave a smile.

"You go to the center of the circle and simply think of what weapon you want and then the MECH's get to work." She said.

"Got it," I replied and quickly move to the center of the circle and started to picture a bow and a Kusarigama.

Lights flash around before opening my eyes and finding a futurist bow with green inlay. Holding the bow straight a green light appeared pulling it back, and an energy arrow appeared. While the Kusarigama base was green, pulling and giving the wire a spin, it glowed a bright green and grew.

"Thank you so much Starlee," I said.

"Not a problem," She replied.

Mikey happily hopped in and as we all walk in to find Mikey had built himself a Mech suit.

"Seriously Mikey?" Alex questioned.

"Goodbye Nunchucks, hello Mikeytron 6000." He said happily.

"Overcompensate much," Starlee said

Right as Mikey took a step he crashed to the ground.

"This is going to end badly isn't it?" Don asked.

"What do you think?" I asked with a look.

Having raced up to the hanger bay to find these awesome hoverbikes. We took following the signal, zooming through the sky as we got closer before Alex gave a small gasp, looking to see the empire state building was in ruins.

"It's ninja time!" Raph yelled as we drove for the building with Mikey flying behind.

We landed and pulled our weapons out and at the ready. Mikey landed.

"Turtle tech armor go plus infinity!" Mikey yelled.

Which made the bird humanoid attack, Don made quick work getting them to the ground by spinning his bo staff.

"Music to my ears!" He yelled.

The brown and blue attack Mikey, who shot at them with his laser creating more damage.

"This armor is awesome." He said happily. "This armor is incredible," Like that Mikey's armor short circuit, and fall apart. "This armor is falling apart," Right as the red-winged humanoid growl and ran at Mikey. "You know violence really never solves anything."

He ran right towards us, the red-winged humanoid tackled Raph to the ground. While Don dealt with the blue one, Leo ran to get Cody. Big bad brown ran at us, Ava ran and slipped using her tessen fan to kick his legs, while Alex when high drawing his attention away. Spinning the chain and hooking him before getting him on his butt.

"Leo!" I heard Cody scream.

Turning to see him get flew away by the leader in gold.

"Regroup around the boy," The gold one ordered. "We must not lose him!"

"Bad news busted deck you already did!" Mikey yelled. "Cody!"

Raph when flying, the other winged humanoids retreating slowly.

"A little help here guys!" Raph yelled.

Don swung the brown one into the gold which took out the red one.

The gold one roared but stop as Leo placed his katanas in front of him.

"Now talk," Leo said. "Why are you after Cody?"

"He wanted the boy under his control." The gold one said.

I heard heavy footsteps that were trying to be quiet, and smell something similar.

"He?" Leo asked.

"He wanted you seven out of the way." He said before crying in pain as his chest began to glow, and soon the energy took over, which started to shock Leo. Who cried out in pain as well.

"Leo!" Cody yelled.

Soon all of the winged humanoids cried in pain, suddenly Darius appeared and pulled Leo away, as the light fade the winged humanoid was in tombs that look much like a cage.

"Uncle Darius!" Cody yelled rushing over.

"I take it I helped the right one, Cody," Darius said.

"Yeah, but how did you?" Cody asked.

"Sterling he alerted me when he called the peacekeepers," Darius said, and right on cue, the peacekeepers showed up.

Alex looked mournful at the empire state building. She started whispering a prayer to herself.

"Hello, Hello, Hello what's all this then?" Constable Biggles questioned as he tapped the cage. "Oh, what?"

"Pretty convenient timing?" Raph whispered. "Don't you think he shows up just the birds took their swan dive?"

"And before they started talking," Leo whispered. "We're gonna keep an eye on uncle Darius."

"Oh dear careful," Sterling cried as we practice with our new weapons. "Watch out!"

"Ninja weapons forged in a union of mind and machine," Master Splinter said. "These are strange times."

All while Mikey was sulking because his weapons failed.

"Weapons of the future is dumb." Mikey groaned.

Cody walked and held out two future nun-chucks, bright orange, and deep blue.

"A gift from Starlee," Cody said. Mikey happily took them and hopped up to show them off. "She had a feeling your battle suit thing might not work out."

"Super chunks of the future," Mikey said spinning them before backflipping closer to Cody and Sterling. "What do they do, what do they do." He spun up hitting Sterling's eye.

"They cause robots to go half-blind," Sterling said. "Don't anyone offer to help? It's just the robot's eye."

"Come along Sterling," I said walking over. "Let's get that fixed, Don, can you assist?"

(Alex P.O.V.)

Night had fallen on NYC, everyone in the penthouse was sleeping soundly, but I couldn't sleep, sitting in the window seat looking out that the new and weird New York City. Thinking of the ruin that was once the empire state building. Fear slipped down my back like a wet blanket, as well as questions spirals in my head. Did the Gods leave New York? They couldn't have faded away, right? Taking a breath before standing up, swinging my hands around, and creating a shadow portal. Looking at the sleeping form of Ava and Tabs, strapping my weapons on, and walked through.

The portal dropped me off right in front of the building. The building was still staying but it was much like a ruin, pushing the door open, seeing pitch black. Pulling out a fireball from thin air, allowing it to grow until it shows the lobby. The Mable walls were worse for wear, dirt-covered it the murals on the ceiling were unreadable, my heart was breaking, the Mable floor was covered in dirt and dust, with my footsteps leaving prints. Walking towards the mural of the Empire state panel that read Empire State New York 1931.

They were a desk that was also covered in dust. There were still six elevators, there were no guards or keepers. Walking over to one of the elevators, knowing that the elevators work because Darius was able to get up to the deck. Looking at the panels of buttons for up. Giving it pressed it lit up and the door slipped open. Taking a breath and offered a pray before stepping in. Gently placed my hand on the button panel before a single glow appeared.

Looking at the button seeing an ancient Greek symbol. Hope began to bloom within me, taking another deep breath and pressing the button. The door shut, the elevator began to move. It began to gain speed, causing me to death grip the handles. The elevator itself began to change, become bright and new. Gold inlay with the same Greek symbol on a gold shield. The elevator came to a sudden stop. Taking a breath, the elevator dinged, the doors slide open. Praying that it would be a good thing that I saw. Cautiously walked to the door, looking out, and gasped. Before me was Mount. Olympus in all its glory. Feelings tears bubbling up and falling down my cheeks, they didn't disappear or fade.
