Chapter 20:No one gets left behind

Hey guys :) Hope you love this chapter. Keep in mind this chapter was a little harder to write so I hope you love it. It is the official last chapter and I want to thank everyone who stuck around and stayed through the journey. Your support for this story means the absolute world to me.

I was already complete when I met him

* 4 months later*

Amy's pov:

I stared at myself in the mirror barely able to carry myself with how big I was. I couldn't believe I even agreed to do this when I was this pregnant but Sheldon wanted me to have my dreams achieved. Could it be possible that thoughtful Sheldon was more annoying? I heard a knock on the door now as I saw Penny and Bernadette come in.

"You look gorgeous Amy. " Penny said with her hands together resting under her chin.

"Absolutely beautiful. " Bernadette said.

"Thank you but being this pregnant makes me not as beautiful. " I said.

"I think it makes you look more beautiful. " Penny said.

"We got a surprise for you Amy. " Bernadette said as she opened the door wider until I saw Sheldon now in a tux that fit him perfectly which made him look dashing.

"Wow. You look breathtaking Amy. " He said as he eyes sparkled in the light.

"Why thank you Sheldon. You don't look half that bad yourself. " I said.

"We better go and leave them alone. We will see you before you walk down the aisle. " Penny said as she dragged Bernadette out with her.

"You look beautiful as always Amy. " He said with a smile.

"I don't really feel it but thank you Sheldon. "

I pulled his tie a little to pull him down to my level as I kissed him. During the kiss I could feel a sharp pain come from my stomach now which caused me to hold onto Sheldon for support until the pain subsided.

"Are you okay Amy ?"Sheldon asked worried.

"Yeah I am okay I think it was the twins kicking but it felt alot sharper than usual" I said.

"I hate seeing you in pain Amy. I hate knowing that they hurt you. " Sheldon said now with a frown.

I pulled Sheldon to the couch as he sat next to me. I held his hands in mine so he could remain eye contact with me.

"Sheldon you know how you would get hurt for any of us if needed to. You would hurt yourself and put yourself at risk for us because your love for us is so overwhelming and too big to explain?"

He nodded not sure where I was going to with this," It feels the same here Sheldon. Yes being pregnant can come with disadvantages such as pain during birth and constantly feeling sick or even when they kick you too hard. It hurts me but I am willing to go through that pain for them. I am telling them that they are worth getting hurt for. My love for them is overwhelming and huge that I would do this all for them. Besides kicking me and me feeling sick let's me know they are okay. Bringing them into this world is worth it,to have them in my arms and see you and Leo love them just as much as I do. The pain is worth it. They are worth it. "

" You are an amazing mother Amy. These kids are lucky to call you mother. " He said smiling.

"They are lucky to have you as their father. We are lucky to have them. " I said.

"That we are. " He said giving a small laugh as he kissed me again.

I felt a kick now but it wasn't as bad as the last one.

"They always seem to kick when you kiss me. " I said laughing now.

"Oh my gosh they are going to be like Leo. " Sheldon said

"He absolutely hates seeing us kiss. " I said laughing.

"We are going to have to grow more arms to cover their eyes. "Sheldon said sounding overwhelmed.

"Or we could just never kiss again." I said inches away from his lips smiling.

"Don't be ridiculous Amy. You know I wouldn't be able to live with that. " Sheldon said now kissing me again.

I felt a soft kick now ,"Well you are going to have to use Kulnar mediation because either they really love this or they don't. " I said smiling.

"Well we still have a couple of years till they understand what they are seeing. " Sheldon said in relief.

"You remember how Leo always knew when we were together when he was a baby. He would cry all the time when we were together. " I said

"You think the twins are going to be the same. Oh my gosh Amy I am never going to see you again am I ?" Sheldon said dramatically.

"Don't be so dramatic Sheldon of course you will." I said trying to be reassuring," eventually at some point in time. Maybe when they are in college. " I continued laughing .

"Well if that is the case we are sending them to college at 9 years old. " Sheldon said.

"Having doubts now ?" I asked.

"Never." He said kissing my forehead.

" I better go now. I will meet you down there. All three of you must look after yourselves. " Sheldon said again giving me a quick kiss before leaving.

I was having three children with the Sheldon Cooper. I was renewing my vows with a man who never saw marriage as a option in his life. He never thought of children in his future unless it was made in a lab. I was the same way at some point in my life but we were different now. I called that man my husband. The love of my life and I couldn't imagine it any other way.

"Aalia sweetie hook your arms around Peter's please." Bernadette said.

"Hello Amy. Are you ready ?" Penny asked with a smile.

"Yes I am but it doesn't look like you are. "I said.

"Sorry Ames. It is just Missy's two older children decided they were too old for this so we only have the younger twins now. Peter and Matthew. " Penny said.

"It's okay . I understand. Leo, sweetie you do the same with Emma. " I said trying to be helpful.

"Halley you are going to hook one arm on both Michael and Matthew please. " Penny said.

Once they all came into place we waited for our cue then the kids walked down as well as Bernie and Penny walked on either side of me until I got to Sheldon. I stood by Sheldon now as he held my hands in his.

"We come together for Sheldon and Amy to renew their vows. To show each other that they loved each other through every up and down through the years and promising to do it for so many more years to come. Everyone in this room had something to do with bringing this couple together. Shamy has always proven to us that love exists. Their love has always been the love we imagined as children. It took them years to find each other but their love became more true when they finally realized they were meant to be finally. We watched Shamy go through everything and still continue to love each other and we only know their love will get stronger with each year passing by because they are the true endgame. " Wil said.

"I believe they each have vows for each other which is obviously why we are here so Amy you can go first. "

"Sheldon I can't imagine a time where it wasn't you and I. I can't imagine a world without us in it. You have become my world. You were so worth the chase. You were so worth the patience for me to be standing here with you right now. To have three beautiful children with you. Everytime I looked into your eyes I saw it. I saw our future. Everything seemed to make sense. We always found each other through everything and we will continue to find each other. Over the years our hearts have become one. " I said with a smile watching him smile at my last sentence.

"So sappy. " He said.

"Sheldon you can go now. "

"Amy you have stuck around when I thought no one could. To know I get to wake up next to you everyday makes me feel like the luckiest guy ever. If I would have known what was waiting for me on the other side of that coffee shop I would have gone earlier. You made my life better and I am so thankful you saw something in us while I was blinded by it because I always knew my heart belonged to you since that first day, it was just so overwhelming loving you more and more everyday but you waited for me. You always saw potential in everyone even me and I will love you more for that. I love you for being my wife, for being the mother of our children, for being the love of my life and most of all for who you are. I can't promise everyday will be good but I do promise to hold your hand through the good and bad. " He said leaving me to tears.

"Okay let me see if I can get this done without crying. " Wil said wiping his tears now," It is my honor to present our favorite couple Sheldon and Amy everybody. Sheldon you can kiss your wife. " Wil said.

Sheldon kissed me as I felt a smile grow on his lips. We all made our way down now to get the lunch we promised after this. I made it to the last row of chairs at the end until the pain in my stomach became sharper now. It was unbearable. I grabbed on Sheldon's arm trying to support myself.

"Amy what's wrong ? Is it the twins ?" Sheldon asked concerned.

"Sheldon I think Amy's water broke. " Bernadette said now looking down at the wet thin ,long carpet below me.

"I guess the twins got too excited to stay." Penny said smiling.

"It is still a couple weeks early. " I said.

"Sometimes twins do come early. It is likely. " Bernadette said.

"Hospital. " Sheldon said coming back to reality,"We are going to hospital. " He said.

" Okay after this next contraction. " Penny said.

"What contraction ?" Sheldon asked.

I felt the pain get more unbearable by the second. I screamed in pain now. I tried to breathe through the pain but it was harder to focus on it as the pain progressed. I could see Sheldon hold me closer to him but he felt useless. I hated when he felt like that because he helped more than he knew.

"What wrong with mommy ? " Leo asked worried now.

"Nothing honey. Your sisters want to be born so they are letting mommy know. It can hurt a little but it's okay. Your mommy is strong enough to do this. " Bernadette said trying to be reassuring.

"I don't want mommy to hurt. Please ask them to stop hurting her. " He said as I heard the fear in his voice. The concern.

Penny supported me while Sheldon sat on one of the chairs to place Leo on his lap.

"Mommy told me something this morning and I hope I explain it right but you know how Mommy and Daddy love you so much we would do anything for you. We would even get hurt for you because we love you that much. It is like the time you loved riding your bicycle after Aunty Penny taught you how to ride it and you rode it everywhere. Eventually you hit something and fell right off grazing your knee. You were in pain for a few days then rode your bike again. It is the same with mommy and the twins. She loves the twins so much like you loved your bike and even though they hurt her like how you fell she still loves them so much the same way you still loved riding your bike after. Getting hurt was worth it because you had fun. It was worth the pain. The twins are worth the pain Leo. Having them with us one day is worth the pain your mommy is going through now. I know seeing mommy in pain right now isn't nice. I don't like it either but I can tell you something and that is that your mom is better than any superhero that exists. She is so strong and amazing so she will get through this. You are helping her and I am helping her also Aunty Bernadette and Penny are helping to. She has a village to help her okay Leo. " Sheldon said trying to explain it the best way possible.

"Okay Daddy. I understand. They are worth the pain because you love them more than the hurt. " Leo said.

"That's right Leo. You explained it so well. I'm so proud of you my boy. You are so smart. " He said brushing his hair back as he kissed his forehead.

Leo hugged me now while I felt a little better," You are better than any superhero I know mommy. Even flash and I love flash. I love you mommy. "

"I love you to Leo. " I said hugging him now and kissed his head.

"Leo Mommy is going to the hospital now. Why don't you go with Uncle Leonard to take you there so you can wait for both your sisters to be born . Isn't that going to exciting ? " Penny said.

"Mommy ? " Leo said looking at me now as something dawned on him.

"Will you love the twins more than me ? " He asked sad now scared to hear my answer.

"What ? No never. We will never ever love them more than you. We will love you all equally and I know it isn't always nice to share attention especially with them in the first couple of months but I know you will love them both and we will love all three of you. You will be the best big brother and you will always be our big boy okay no matter what. We will always love you. " I said hugging him again.

"I will be the best big brother ever. " He said proudly.

"Yes you will my boy. " Sheldon said laughing.

I felt another contraction now and I cried out in pain as I felt Sheldon rush to my side and Leo held my other hand. I breathed through the pain until it was bearable again.

"You okay Mommy ?" He asked.

"Im okay sweetie. Thank you for being my brave, strong boy. Why don't you go with Uncle Leonard for me and I will be back as soon as possible okay. "

"Okay.I am going to uncle Leonard now. I will see you all soon."he asked not quite certain.

He hated hospitals I knew that now but I wasn't aware he was also scared I was never going to come home. He was scared I would go into a hospital and not come back.

"You will see us soon."I said.

"Let's get you to hospital Amy. " Sheldon said helping me up from my seat.

"We are going to have daughters after this Sheldon. "I said slowly walking with him

"We are going to have daughters after this. " He said as it slowly hit him. He kissed my forehead now as he got me to the car.

" Come on Amy breathe through the pain for me please. " Sheldon said pulling me closer not quite certain what to do as I cried out in pain.

"Talk to me Sheldon about anything please . I need a distraction. " I said trying to breathe through the pain as I held his hand tighter now which he never complained about even though I knew he wanted to.

"Okay umm you know the other day I asked Leo wanted he wanted to be when he grows up. " He said.

I slowly started to feel better again even though I knew it wasn't for long. I relaxed my hand so it wasn't holding Sheldon's so tight which he was thankful for.

"You know he is too young to know what he wants to be. " I said with a laugh.

"For his Future yes but he was pretty set on this Amy. " He said.

"He wants to be a physicist doesn't he ." I said feeling another contraction.

I cried out in pain once again tighting my grip on Sheldon's hand as I focused on breathing. Sheldon froze not knowing what to do. He hated this.

"Sheldon keep talking please. " I said through the pain.

"Right umm he said he wants to be a Neurosurgeon well he doesn't know what that is yet he just says a brain doctor. "Sheldon said trying to smile.

" Why ?" I tried to say to through the pain for it to subside.

"Because he said he wants to do what mommy does but he also wants to help people to. He said he wants to fix all mommies and daddies of the world so they can come back to their children like the doctors did with us. "He said.

"That's sounds like our son alright always wants to help others. " I said as the pain slowly got less and less.

"You know you always proclaim he is my child and I must admit he does like things I like but he is also so similar to you. He has your heart but what makes Leo well Leo is all him. "

"He is really the best kid we could have asked for. " I said smiling.

"He is very much so the best child and he is ours. "

"He is ours. "

A doctor then came into the room with my chart as she gave a smile," You guys ready to have a baby ?"

"Yes. " We both said at the same time.

He looked at me now not sure what to do with himself. You would swear this was his first child. I saw the hatred of seeing me in pain though. I saw the want to take it all away.

"They are worth it. " I said again.

"They are worth it. " He said with a small smile.

"Okay we are going to have two babies by the end of this. " she said sitting in position.

"Come on Amy you want to give me one more big push. We are almost there. " I could hear the doctor say.

I could hear the first baby crying in the other doctors arms.

"Come on Amy you can do this. They are worth it. Just one more. One more then this is over. One more then you get to hold them in your arms like you wanted. Please just one more. " Sheldon said trying to support me.

I gave one last push with all the will I had left in me and the doctor now had the other on in her arms. She didn't cry. The doctor even looked worried. She rushed her to the other side of the room and I know both Sheldon and my heart stopped. I couldn't do with another tradegy . Please no. Please no.

It took some time but we eventually heard her cry and I never loved the sound more in my life. Sheldon and I could finally breathe. The doctors came to us with two babies in their arms.

"They look beautiful. You guys did great. " The doctor said handing me the one as the other handed the other one to Sheldon.

They looked so tiny. I knew they were born earlier but I forgot how small they were. Sheldon looked at the one in his arms with complete awe. Her hand was around his finger now as he studied her face. You could see the love he already had for her. How he held her to him for dear life like she was a glass that could break. They were worth it. They were definitely worth it.

"They look beautiful Amy. They look just like you. " Sheldon said with so much affection in his voice.

I knew this was overwhelming for him. It was overwhelming to love someone with so much in you when you just got them.Sheldon looked at mine now not believing he has two of these things. I smiled at both of them not believing we made them. We were interupted by a knock in the door now and it was Mary and Missy.

"They are here. " Missy said.

All our friends arrived after them to see them.

"They look beautiful . " Mary said smiling.

"They are going to be gorgeous children." Penny said.

"Of course they are. They are our children what do you expect" Sheldon said.

"You are so full of yourself Sheldon." Leonard said.

"What are their names ?" Rajesh asked.

"Do you want to go first ?" Sheldon asked.

I nodded looking at the baby infront of me," This little one is Mary Constance Cooper. " I said not looking up from her.

"After me. " Mary said stunned as she looked at the baby in my arms.

"Yes mom. After you. " Sheldon said laughing.

"I can't believe you named her after meemaw to. " Missy said now almost in tears.

Sheldon nodded with a small smile," Since she can't physically see them we thought it would be good that she would always be in their lives in some way. "

They both looked at her now in my arms.

"And this little one. " Georgie asked looking at the baby in Sheldon's arms.

"Melissa Charlotte Cooper. " Sheldon said now only looking up halfway.

"Did you just name your child after me ? " Missy said shocked as she looked at Sheldon.

"Amy's idea. Not mine. " Sheldon said.

"Actually Sheldon agreed to the name Melissa without hesitation " I said.

"See Sheldon loves me. " Missy said with a laugh as she gave him a side hug as she watched the baby in his arms.

"Can we hold them ?" Howard asked.

"Yes only if you sanitize yourself first. " Sheldon said sternly.

"Such a Sheldon thing to do. " Penny said rolling her eyes.

Then the door opened with Wil and Leo coming in.

"He wanted to see you guys now. I don't know if that's okay. " Wil said.

"Of course it is bring my other grandchild in." Mary said with a big smile as she saw him.

" Does somebody want to meet their sisters ? " I asked with a smile.

He nodded looking a bit shy. He ran next to me trying to reach his tippy toes to see Mary in my arms.

"Okay Leo hold on we are going to try it like this okay. " Sheldon said.

Sheldon instructed Leonard for the hospital chair to place it closer to the bed . Sheldon sat on it and instructed Leo to sit on his one leg then hang his legs over the other legs so Sheldon could still see his face. Sheldon lowered the baby in his arms a little down so he could see it better. Leo looked at her with so much affection and it was only a second.

" They are so tiny. " He said.

"Yeah Leo you know you were about this small when you were born." Sheldon said.

"Then how did I get this big ?" Leo asked confused.

"You grew my boy. When they grow they will be big to. " Sheldon said.

"But what if you want to keep them that small. "Leo asked as the room laughed.

"Unfortunately that isn't the case. They grow up at some point. " Sheldon said chuckling.

Leo pulled something out of his pocket now which was the copy of the pregnancy scan which he carried everywhere.It was creased but he still kept it.

"They were little blobs on a picture now they are here. " Leo said amazed.

"That's right Leo. You want to hold her ?" Sheldon asked.

He looked a little hesitant," What if I hurt her ? I don't want to hurt her. " He said scared.

"You won't hurt her. You are an amazing big brother already and I will be here with you okay. " Sheldon said.

He then put the picture away in his pocket then sat up straight as Sheldon carefully handed her over to him as he pulled Leo closer to him. Sheldon had his arms around Leo to support Melissa while she was in Leo's arms. Leo looked at her and smiled. He continued to study all her features until he got scared again looking at such a fragile thing in his arms.

"I love her daddy but can you take her back. I don't want to hurt her. " Leo said.

"You won't hurt her Leo but okay I understand you can be scared to hurt such a small thing. " He said taking her back into his arms again.

"Are you ever scared holding her ?" Leo asked.

"Yes sometimes. I was scared holding you to when you were a baby but as long as I am careful it will be okay. I keep telling myself that. " Sheldon said.

Leo looked at Mary in my arms now," Can I hold her ? I don't want her to think I love her sister more. " .

"Of course you can. That's very considerate of you Leo but I think they know you love them both so much. " Sheldon said laughing.

Sheldon handed Melissa to Mary while Missy and Penny hovered around to looking at her. Sheldon picked up Leo and put him next to me now. I pulled Leo closer to me as I carefully handed Mary to him. He looked at her with the same amazement and love while Sheldon stood there watching him. We both gave each other a smile. My one arm was around him to show him that someone was there so he didn't have to be scared.

"Uncle Leonard do you want to hold her ?" Leo asked.

Leonard nodded as Leo slowly gave the baby to him and,Rajesh,Howard and Georgie were examining it now. They all took turns holding both children while Leo and Sheldon were by my side. I saw my family show affection for them. I knew they had our big family to. We would always be okay if we had them.

"We did good Amy. " Sheldon said proud but he was talking about our children and our family. Our life that we built around them. We couldn't ask for a better life than this.

"We did good Sheldon. "

He kissed me quickly before Leo complained then he kissed the top of Leo's head. It was us and them. We were always family and no matter what happened as long as we had each other we would be okay. We would could get through anything together.

I believe this calls for the end of Misery loves company. The ending was a little hard for me to write but I hope I gave it the justice it deserved.
