Alpha And Omega
"Chapter Three"

The Cullen household was as it always was on a cloudy weekend in December. Wet, cold, and quietly serene. As the family gathered for their daily "dinner" in a rocky meadow to the north of their house, one of the members stopped abruptly and inhaled in shock as her small frame was assaulted with images of what could be and what would happen if certain events didn't transpire.

Her mate was upon her in an instant. His mountain lion being discarded in the snow pelted field in favor of his beloved. As she became aware of the tangible world once more the entire family was once again together for the petite vampire to announce; "We have to be late to school on Monday."

Their leader, Carlisle, broached in confusion. "What do you mean Alice? What have you seen?" He added in concern. Concern for his family of course. For they were his greatest worry.

"There will be four new students on Monday. How they affect our lives, I'm unsure, but if the family of three arrive on Monday and see us first. . ." Alice, the now identified petite woman explained. Trailing off.

Four new students? That's unheard of in Forks.

I swear if we have to move again. . .

"Have you seen anything else about them?" Edward, her brother, asked in question. Ignoring his siblings' thoughts.

"No," Alice said in a pout.

"How odd," Jasper stated as he grasped her hand in reassurance.

"As long as we arrive later than the three males on Monday. We'll be golden." Alice stated in a bounce.

"Jee Alice, always one for positivity. Let's hope we don't get mauled by bears at school tomorrow." Rosalie stated in sarcasm. Not knowing how close to the truth she was.

Alice couldn't laugh at her sister's joke. Not after the giant wolves, she'd seen had been running through an unknown field in masses that surmounted the Quillette and tearing off Vampire and human flesh combined. She didn't know what the new students and these wolves had in common, but she didn't want to end here; in Forks.

LINE BREAK

Algebra for Harry was so heartbreakingly droll. He didn't know what the teacher was talking about. He desperately wanted to bang his head on the desk. What was x and why did he need y to find it? All he saw was a multitude of numbers on the whiteboard, and the random x and y. Draco was no help. Fervently writing away in his notebook as if the world depended on it, and every time Harry tried leaning over to see what the blonde was doing the teacher would clear her throat in a very Umbridge-like sound. Scaring the pants off of him.

He resigned himself to just stare at the board, and listen. Drawing doodles in his notebook to make it look like he was taking notes.

The bell rang shortly after the teacher assigned them homework, and he and Draco packed their stuff up to head to lunch with George. This was the first they could see the older male for the day, and also the last until their gym class at the end of the day.

Entering the cafeteria the two could see George sitting at a table on his own and a peppy girl was talking to him. More like, at him. As the younger duo approached their relative, they could see that this girl was trying to ask George on a date. George for the most part was heavily playing nice and trying to not outright say no to the girl.

Harry and Draco placed their book bags on the chairs next to George. "How do we get this food?" Draco asked the girl next to their older cousin.

She seemed shocked that Draco was talking to her. All three of the new boys could rival the Cullens with their beauty. Their lack of chiseled features and change of more subtle facial features made them easy to look at and made them look remarkably younger than they said they were. It seemed to take her a second to reply. Her mouth hangs open in an oh shape for a small second. "I can show you! I'm Jessica by the way. Are you friends of George's?"

Draco caught the look George was giving him. Something akin to pleading, and desperate. He patted the older Weasley man on the shoulder reassuringly and held his elbow out for Jessica to take. "Madam, I see you have good taste. Now let's go get this food. My family and I are famished." He said to Jessica leading her away from his cousins.

Harry watched as George exhaled and relaxed a little bit more. "That was brutal, Harry. I didn't know what to say." Harry laughed somewhat at the sheer luck they always had. Seems George had an admirer.

The duo sat with each other and despaired as their table started filling up around them. Teenagers they knew nothing about were placing trays or lunch boxes on the table and it was getting crowded.

"Hey! You're some of the new kids right?!" The boy next to them asked. I'm Mike. Mike Newton. There's another new girl here today. We totally asked her to join us for lunch. Doesn't seem to have made it yet. Why don't you two join too?"

George looked in Harry's direction. Unable to answer as Draco arrived again, Jessica in tow; each carrying two trays of food. One for George and one for Harry. Jessica placed her extra tray in George's place, saying 'hi' to Mike and sitting in between both boys. George looked Harry in the eyes pleadingly. What they had found out during their time in the war being around so many other wolves was that they had predetermined mates. When Neville fell for Luna it started snowballing after that.

Sirius mated to Remus, who was going to join them later this week. He was finishing up rallying for shifters and werewolves' right to freedom. Minister Shacklebolt had requested him personally. As his reputation and skill in the war had awarded him an Order of Merlin, First Class. Remus had matured with gaining a connection with Moony which allowed him to claim his rank in the pack as Alpha. Sirius and Moony both battled a large number of moon wolves in battles to the death when they were in the final battle. Aiming to get Greyback, and striking many others who had sided with Voldemort. The ones who lived were labeling him a traitor, but most slowly began to come to the same side that the cunning Remus Lupin was on. They had figured out he wasn't anti Werewolf, but just the opposite and with the appearance of the shifters they also wanted fair rights for their lineage.

The trio of new students were slightly surprised they'd been silent this entire time. Mike was waving his hand in front of Draco's face before any of them could react and warn him about that not being such a great idea.

Draco's face changed to a sneer and he backed away from the appendage. "You come that close to touching my face one more time I'll run you out of this building faster than you can say 'help'" Draco stated darkly.

"Ouch," Mike said to himself. "Moody much?" Contemplating moving tables before Alicia arrived, but all the blonde seemed to do was turn toward his supposed family. "You sure you guys are related, man? I don't see any resemblance whatsoever."

"Last I checked our blood was solidly connected," George stated awkwardly.

The group of teenagers at their table were interrupted when a group of five stunning and chiseled ethereal beings walked in. Harry would have assimilated them with Veela if he couldn't smell their sickly sweet scent. Vampires here in a muggle area. How odd. "What's up with them?" He asked. Wishing his question didn't sound so rude. Knowing full well they could hear him and the next conversation to come.

Jessica took this time to join the conversation. "That's the Cullens. Dr. and Mrs. Cullens kids." She added with a knowing smirk. Something Draco caught, but couldn't place why it was there. "They all moved here about 2 years ago. Came from Alaska I heard, but get this: there all together. Like together together. As in dating."

"Well, I don't see a problem with that," Mike stated as he began eating his meal. "They're all adopted, so it's not like they're really related."

"If you ask me, I think Dr. and Mrs. Cullen can't have children. So she picks and chooses who they adopt. Like a matchmaker." Jessica said under her voice with a smirk. Hoping to spread some juicy gossip, and impress the new kids.

The trio and the newly introduced Forks residents could hear Harry's plastic fork crack in half and his drink collapsed on the table on its own. Spilling its contents all over Draco and him. George and Draco glanced at Harry swiftly, seeing his gaze darken before he stood from the table and marched off heatedly. Most likely to go outside.

"Holy. What was that?" Mike asked dumbfounded.

Draco, the more defensive of the two left, grabbed his and Harry's plates and glared at the two below him who had been nothing but a pain in their rears since they sat at this table. "We're adopted, too. Mrs. Cullen must be a great mother because they look happy. You don't know what it takes to take in someone else's kids and treat them like your own. Harry and I would have killed for that when we were growing up." Not mentioning any details, Draco began to quickly exit the cafeteria.

George quickly grabbed his tray and booked it from there when he noticed two of the vampire's bee-line for the same route.

When he arrived in the hallway, he could only see Draco in front of him. Curiously he wondered why the vampires were involved but ran to drag Draco towards where they could follow Harry's sent in time to cut the two vampires off.

They approached the parking lot a lot faster than they thought they could. Seeing the two vampires standing near the woods off the tarmac looking into the vast expanses of trees. "What the hell!" Draco yelled as they approached the two. Who now faced the two approaching irritated wolves. "You scared him into the woods?!" He asked as he brandished something from his back pocket which appeared to be a white polished stick.

"Draco!" George yelled and pushed his cousin's arm out of aim just as a blue light erupted from the tip of the wand and hit a tree behind the vampires. Said tree cracked into splinters as it blew from the inside. "What the actual fuck Draco," George asked in shock. "We're in a sodding muggle area! Do you want the Aurors to come here? Now?"

As the two appeared to want to start an all-out fight with them, and themselves, the group was enveloped in a hazy bubble. Slowly calming the two unknown teens in front of them. "If you continue on this path you'll expose all of us. Do you want that?" The petite girl said in a warning tone.

With a low growl of unease, Draco relinquished his wand back to his backside pocket.

"We don't need to be your enemies." She said as she turned to glance towards the woods behind her. "He's some ways towards the beach. You should go find him." She added in a wispy voice. As if she was related to Luna Lovegood.

"Duh!" Draco said snootily and the duo of Cousins now brothers ran off towards the forest. Leaving a weird taste in the stationary vampire's mouths. A sort of aura was enveloping both men now as they got deeper into the forest. Clearly, they were going to do something, or were already, but before they could see what the duo disappeared further into the forest.
