Halloween Kills: The Better Ending
It was finally done.
Karen, Tommy and the others all looked down at the mangled and beaten body of Michael Myers.
They had all put as much effort as they could to take down the maniac.
They beat him, shot him, stabbed him, and did whatever else they cpuld to finally end him.
Tommy felt at ease, seeing the boogeyman with a knife in his neck.
Karen felt at ease to see the man who had killed her husband, the Shape who had haunted her life, dead.
They all felt a sense of relief at the sight of him finally dead, I'm moving.
Karen looked to the others and said, "Allison's leg is broken. We should get the wounded back to the hospital."
Tommy nodded and said, "you heard her. Let's get going! The evil is dead!"
The others all gave a cheer before the whole group left the body on the ground, the knife in his neck seemingly signifying his final fate.
Karen ran to her daughter and held her in her arms, both of them shedding tears of both remorse and relief.
They had finally ended the man who had killed Ray, their husband/father.
After so much hardship that night, it seemed like things had finally gone right for the Strode family.
Tommy walked over to them and said, "you're both very brave. Standing up to that maniac."
Allison said, "I just wish so many people hadn't died because of that maniac."
Karen replied, "we all do…. But now it's over…."
Allison cried, "I'll always be with you mom…."
Karen gave a sad smile and hugged her close, saying, "I know…."
Tommy nodded and replied, "I'm sorry, you two…. Come on. We better get back to the hospital. Lori will be happy to see you two alright."
Karen and Allison nodded as Tomm helped the mother get her daughter to her feet."
But as they made their way to Tommy's car, they heard, "HE'S GONE!"
Everyone in the area looked to one another in fright as they ran over to where they had ambushed and beaten the Shape within an inch of his life.
Everyone felt utter terror at the sight in front of them.
A young man was pointing at the exact spot.
Where now…. No body lay there…. And that only meant one thing.
The man exclaimed, "I was running over to find my knife…. But when I got here…. The body was gone!"
Allison cried, "oh God…. He's still alive!?"
Karen yelled, "HOW!? I stabbed him! Right in the fucking neck! He should be dead!"
Tommy looked at everyone around them. They were all exhausted, injured and scared. And as much as it pained him to say, he knew what they needed to do right now.
Tommy said, "we need to get back to the hospital."
Karen exclaimed, "but Tommy! You said-"
Tommy growled, "I know what I said! But your daughter has a broken leg. Most of us have gunshot wounds and stab wounds. We'll find him. The evil will die But only after we regroup at the hospital, and track this bastard down with enough fire power to kill him for good!"
Karen and Allison gave reluctant nods, realizing the truth in his words.
As much as it pained them to say, they knew they needed to get back to Lori and the others at the hospital.
Tommy took Karen and Allison into his car. His war would lead the others towards the hospital.
And unknown to any of them, the Shape watched them from the room of his sister.
But as the cars began to start up, he found himself looking into his reflection for a moment.
The evil staring back at itself for the first time in a very long time. He almost didn't recognize the burnt mask and jumpsuit staring back at him on the glass. His thoughts an unclear mess that nobody could figure out. Loomis had called him pure evil. A monster. A mad dog who should have been put down, rather than let off of his leesh. His vision then began to look away from the reflection and back towards the cars.
As he watched the cars race off, unaware of where he was or where he was headed, one thing was certain….
Halloween certainly wasn't over…. Not as long as the Shape still lived….
….
So, while I did like the new Halloween movie for the most part…. I hated the damned ending.
I knew Michael was gonna live and escape for one last movie, but killing Tommy and Karen was a bad move.
Tommy was my favorite character in the movie. Just seeing this old man wielding a baseball bat and leading the entire town on a manhunt for Michael Myers made him such an awesome character, that is as so bummed when he died.
And Karen's death made no damned sense.
Especially since it would have been impossible for him to get to the room at the end with all of those people in the front, and people would have swarmed into the house to get him!
So, I wrote what I consider a better ending.
Tommy, Karen and the others live while still hyping up the next movie.
And so, on Halloween, the same day I saw the movie, I give you this one shot!
Leave a review on what you think.
