Chapter 5

Dr. Bohn finally returned to us. Bryan was sitting on my lap with his head on my chest. He was almost asleep.

"Dr. Bohn please tell me we can see Charlie now...Bryan really wants to see his dad."

"I understand...and yes you may, he's in room 2B. His father is next door in 2C. I'll take you there."

Bryan had grown quiet. I carried Bryan on my hip as I followed Dr. Bohn.

"Now, Charlie could be a little out of it...he's on multiple kinds of medication for the new kidney."

"Thank you..."

"We might be able to check his father out the day after tomorrow. Charlie can be checked out in two weeks if everything seems normal." Dr. Bohn said as he opened the door for me.

"Two weeks?"

"To closely monitor him in case his body rejects the kidney or there is an infection. Here he is Harmione "

Charlie was propped up in bed. He was hooked up to a heart monitor with an IV, as well as oxygen.

"Daddy!" Bryan suddenly screamed. I thought he was fast asleep in my arms.

Charlie slowly opened his eyes.

I walked over to the bedside and leaned down so that Bryan could see Charlie.

"There he is Bry."

"Daddy I missed you!"

Charlie mumbled a groan.

"Here Bry." I told him and pulled a chair over to the bed.

"You can sit here and hold Daddy's hand."

Bryan reached for Charlie's hand. Charlie gave Bryan's hand a squeeze.

"Hey babe. How you feeling?" I whispered.

"Lousy..." He replied softly.

"The doctor said you'd be a little loopy."

"He wasn't kidding...where's my Dad?"

"Next door...we'll go see about him soon."

Charlie groaned and closed his eyes.

"Char...

"Daddy are you hurted?"

"Oh son I'm hurting bad."

"Bry stay with him I'm going to go get a nurse."

"Okie Mommy!"

I stepped out into the hallway. I saw that same nurse from the time I needed someone to numb Charlie's arm. I don't think Charlie liked her very much. I didn't like her bedside manner either, but there was no one else around.

"Excuse me, Miss?"

She stopped and walked over to me.

"My husband needs more pain medication. He said he was hurting pretty bad and I-"

I gasped and held my stomach. I then saw a needle and syringe in her hand. She injected me with something that felt like I was being drained. I was in such a shock I didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry dear...did you...need something?"

I collapsed into her arms.

When I awoke I was aboard some sort of ship. I groaned and tried to move. I was bound by energy chains. I gasped.

"Solvite." I whispered. It was a spell normally used to break free from even the strongest of chains. This did nothing.

"Remotionem torque." I whispered. Another chain breaking spell. I couldn't use my powers.

"Having some trouble." It was the nurse from before.

"Who are you?!"

Slowly the nurse morphed and turned into Psyphon.

"Psyphon!"

"Yes...this suit is a modification and upgrade over that SAD-13 unit. I call this model WAA-2. My first model just wasn't the right size for me.

"What do you want with me? And how did you escape the Null Void!?"

"Perhaps I can answer your questions...if you answer mine." A strong booming voice spoke out.

Out of the shadows stepped a nine foot tall. 160 pound alien. Wearing armor with the terrifying face of an octopus. I read about the alien type at the Acadmey. He was a Chimera Sui Generis. My dad told me stories all about him too. It was Vilgax. An evil warlord. Someone who has been after my dad for years. Someone he went after my son a few years back. Someone I've only heard about but never seen until this moment.

"Vilgax." I said softly.

He grabbed my chin and lifted my head up.

"So you do know me? I guess I such be honored to be known by the great Ben Tennyson's daughter."

"And you know me...your little lacky over there tried to kill my husband a few years ago. And you put a bounty on my son's head. That Lovelace guy was almost the perfect plan until I messed that up for you too."

"Such confidence you have in your speaking voice... just like your father."

"And if I can't stop you, my father will stop you...just like he always has."

"You're wrong about that...I came here to take your children from you myself...I knew it was I that should have done it in the first place."

"My kids have done nothing to you, I don't even have anymore kids! I'll give you whatever you want!"

"That is where you are wrong again...I know you had three more after the boy..."

I gasped as he scooted closer to me. I felt his cold hand like claw go up my shirt. He felt of my stomach.

"This scar...this is where they were taken from you..."

He removed his hand.

"They may not be showing signs of it yet...but I have one hypothesis that will help me rule over your planet ...Your mother had powers and magical energies in her blood...she passed it onto you."

"So...none of my kids have powers...if they did; Bryan would have already shown signs of it."

"That is where Psyphon and myself put two and two together. Your brothers do not have powers at all either...and yet you never wondered why."

I looked down.

"We believe it is because only the female genes carry the powers...those three girls of yours will have powers and I will become their new father."

"No!"

"You are not in a position to disagree."

"Then why capture me!"

"Because with you out of the way; and using Psyphon's new technology we will be able to take your children."

"My family will stop you."

"Your family won't know...Blossom."

"Blossom!?"

Blossom walked over to me.

"Hello Harmione...its been a long time..."

"With my help she will go back to Earth to replace you...and take those children one by one under your husband's nose." Psyphon interrupted.

"Charlie will never fall for it, he saw right through your game the first time and he-!"

Blossom was wearing one of those suits. She transformed into me before my eyes.

"Oh Charlie will never fall for it!" Blossom said. Her voice matched mine perfectly.

"Vilgax! My dad will stop you!" I yelled.

"Word through the galaxy is that Ben Tennyson has gotten slow in his old age...as soon as he even thinks about stopping me it'll be too late...my revenge on him and his pathetic family begins now."

Vilgax snapped his fingers. Psyphon was near a set of keyboards. He began typing in something.

"By the way...the injection Psyphon gave you eliminates magical powers...you won't even be able to save yourself."

I glared at him. My hair blew sideways as a portal opened up. Blossom disguised as me waved shyly and stepped through it.

"No! Ahh!"

Another portal opened up near me. The chains around my wrists and ankles vanished. I screamed as I was pulled into the portal. I felt like I was falling for hours. I landed forward and hit a large stone. I looked around and gasped. I had been deserted without my powers into the Null Void.
