Chapter 10

Azmuth used a cloaking device on us. He then place three robots in the middle of the room. They each had on a WAA suit. He set them to look like Annabelle, Mirabelle, and Isabelle. Vilgax and Psyphon took the decoys. Azumuth then made us visible again.

"Nice one Azmuth!" Jesse exclaimed.

"Thank you, but fight is not yet over."

There was a blinding flash. Mom, Dad, Gwen, Kevin, Charlie, and our sister made it back from the Null Void.

"Mommy!" Bryan screamed. He quickly ran over to her. Followed by his three sisters that were safe from Vilgax's clutches.

"Oh my babies!" She got on her knees and wrapped each one in a hug. She kissed the side of Bryan's head.

"Jesse, Justice...Azmuth are you all okay?" Dad asked.

"We are fine. Vilgax took the bait just as you said he would." Azmuth answered. "Ben Tennyson...your bombs should have worked by now."

"What bombs Daddy?" Harmione questioned and got to get feet holding Isabelle on her hip.

"Null Void teleportation disruptors. I told Azmuth to place one each on the WAA suits. Once you touch the suit you are then transported into the Null Void. It cancels out all and any other transport device, which I suspect Vilgax used to get out the first time. Anyway this disrupts other devices by reprogramming it."

"How?"

"I can answer that."

Azmuth spoke up.

"It only teleports you to the Null Void...it doesn't matter what transport or teleportation you use...you'll always end up back where you started. It might take them a long time to figure out what's causing the malfunction. They'll have to take those WAA suits apart trying to find the problem. And they not only have one teleportation disruption bomb they have three...Ben Tennyson, your family lives to fight another day. And you should be very proud of your children."

"Don't worry about that Azmuth...I'm very proud of them...I always will be."

I smiled at Dad. When I got back home, with my babies and Charlie, everyone else came home with me. Now that we were out of the line of fire; Mom and Dad wanted to talk to me about something important.

"Harmione, your mother and I have told you a thousand times over that people can and will attempt to destroy your life because of me...They will use any means. They'll use Charlie, Bryan, Anna, Mira, Isa, even your brothers."

"I know that Daddy...I'm sorry I should have been more careful."

"I'm not getting onto you Har...it's just-"

"Sweetie...your father and I believe it would be for the best if..."

"If what?"

"We think you should give up your powers and your memory...those villains out there will have nothing to gain from you...and they'll leave you alone...you and your family will have nothing they want."

"My powers and my memory!"

"It's just so you don't know mom and dad are superheroes sis...you won't forget everything..." Justice piped in.

"Dad wants Mom to wipe our memories as well." Jesse replied.

"I...I.."

"Harmione...we believe it's the best thing for you...you won't have to be under constant protection or anything...you won't have to live underground...it'll just erase the alien side of your life. All of this...all of the turmoil and the pain. The danger...it will eliminate all that."

"I...I have to think about this."

I got up and went outside. Charlie followed me.

"Har!"

"Get rid of the alien side to my life?! My whole life has been made up of that...it hasn't been perfect, but at the end of the day we still managed to pull through...I know I've slipped up and made mistakes. But..."

"Harmione...look at me...you always said you wanted a normal life. Your parents are trying to give you that the best way they know how...besides...its not you that's made a mistake...it's me."

"You?"

"Harmione...when Blossom was here I could have killed her...I wanted too...I had these terrible thoughts to kill her...I thought about forcing myself on her and just ending her."

I gently pulled away from him.

"You? My sweet Charlie...I...I don't understand...what came over you?"

"I don't know...something sinister...I...She sexually and forcefully pleasured me, she stabbed Bryan with his insulin needle...she made you disappear...I don't know what it was but it was enough to throw me over the edge. I grabbed her up by the shoulders and shook her like a rag doll...Har...I scared myself...I scared your father...and now I'm scaring you..."

I just stared at him.

"I...I want to openly apologize for my mistake. And for even thinking about such monstrous behavior. To apologize for my lack of judgement, and for not analyzing the situation more. I apologize for the hurt I caused. The emotional distress and victimization of myself. I was not a victim in the situation. I was only deeply hurt by the loss of trust, love and support that I forced upon myself. I've never felt more remorse or guilt or like an utter piece of shit more in my entire life. I understand that what I did was completely wrong and inappropriate. I crossed way to many lines. I sincerely understand, resent and are deeply sorry for my wrong doing. I didn't think of anyone but myself and I'm sorry for that too."

"Char..."

"I was selfish...and I acted like a fool...I...Harmione, Dad's kidney has given me five years...of course that's only an estimated guess, but I wasn't going to let that woman take that away from me!"

He turned from me. He was crying.

"Ben probably wants to erase your powers and your memory because if and when something happens to you again I can't handle it...its not you...it's me...Don't you get it?!..it's always been me...every single. damn. time. I came into your life accepting I could handle it...but I can't Har...okay I said it!"

I pulled my hair behind my ear and hugged him from behind. I wrapped my arms around his waist. Charlie gasped. We just stood there a moment. We heard thunder and it began to rain.

"I can't handle it either..." I said softly. Charlie gasped again and turned to face me.

"Giving up my memory, and my powers...is better than giving up you. Jesse said I would still remember everything else except for the fact the mom and dad have powers and that I once had them...I should have gave them up a long time ago...or you wouldn't have been put in that sitution..."

"Har..."

I stood on my toes to get closer to his lips.

"I accept your apology as you have always accepted mine...that's why we are so close Charlie...I bruise you...and you bruise me, but nothing can hurt us. Nothing is going to change when my powers and memory are gone...well be together...stronger...safer... With our memories gone...we won't remember the pain we have suffered. Our faults won't mean a thing anymore."

I kissed him softly. I always kiss him softly. We began to make out as it rained. We quickly ran for the door to escape getting wet. We entered the living room again.

"Mom...Dad...I'd like'd for everyone in my family to have their memories erased. And my powers gone."

"All six of you?" Mom asked.

I nodded and picked up Bryan, then held Charlie's hand.

"Very well sweetie...before that though I thought perhaps you'd like to say goodbye to an old friend you never actually got to say goodbye too."

"Who?"

She took out a necklace and placed it on the floor. She waved her hand and it began to glow. It then transformed into a rock creature like dog.

"Juju!" I screamed. I ran over to him and picked him up. Tears came to my eyes. I remember creating him like it was yesterday. An old memory sparked into my brain I remember it started with mom saying;

"You can use these for all sorts of things like magic powder, rock creatures, or even explosives."

My smile lit up as Mom spoke.

"Can I try Mommy?"

"Of course sweetie...just be careful."

I reached into the bag and pulled out a stone. Mom held me from behind, grasped me hand tightly and kneeled down.

"I want you to feel the energy as you did before..."

"Okay Momma."

"And when you feel it...Ease your hand back slowly..."

Gently, she pulled my arm back.

"And let go..." She whispered sweetly, and together we threw the totem across the yard. Mom hugged me from behind as a small rock like creature appeared before us.

"He's yours Harmione."

The rock creature placed its limbs upon the ground and walked on all fours. It had a magenta aura about it. My smile grew to a laugh and I made a dash for the creature. The rock creature manifested into a small like puppy and it made a swift run me. That was the start of my powers and my first real friendship. I was going to let it all go.

Mom waved her hand and Juju turned back into the small purple stone necklace.

"I was going to let you keep it when I recreated him...but..."

"I know Mom..."

"But I can turn him into this necklace forever...he'll be inanimate once more but at least you'll have a piece of your history with you."

She enclosed her hands over it. It lit up and died out. She put the necklace around my neck.

"Thanks mom."

I hugged her tightly.

"Okay here we go."

She waved her hands. Dad took a step back. She not only erased our memories but my brother's as well. When I opened my eyes my entire family was in the living room. I didn't have any idea what they were doing there, and a necklace around my neck that I don't remember putting on; but I suspect I've had it for a while.

"Mom...Dad...Jesse...Justice what are you all doing here?"

"Well babygirl we-" Dad began.

"It doesn't matter...since you are, you wanna stay for dinner?"

"Yes!" Mom exclaimed. "I'll help make it."

"Me too Mrs. Tennyson." Charlie said after. "Watch out girls...Bry take your sisters and go play."

"Okay Daddy!"

"Jesse, Justice watch your nieces and newphew." I heard Mom tell them.

"We can have spaghetti, it's quick and easy and-"

Dad pulled me into a hug.

"Dad?"

He didn't want to let go.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing...Nothing at all."

I smiled and hugged him back tightly. My face pressed up against the side of his.

"I love you Harmione."

"I love you too Daddy...no matter what."
