Chapter 30

"You're an alien?!"

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before!"

She stretched her arms to make vines then threw the monster holding her. She used her vines to whip the creature off me. Once we were out of their grasp we took off running down the hall.

She was a plant-based alien; and was a female of her species. My grandpa Ben told me all about them. Though because she was half of something else she did look different. Instead of having four or five legs, and a singular eye on her face; she had two legs and two eyes as normal. Only she was a dark green humanoid-shaped being of pure mana like an anodite. She had bright green glowing energy, which looked like tentacles for hair. I could tell though that it was still her by her voice, and I could see her blueish grey eyes glowing and radiating from her. We hid in the science lab. I closed the door and turned the lights off.

"Bryan...stop I don't need to involve you in this."

"Well like it or not I am involved, the whole school is involved, half of my planet could be involved by now...what are these things and why are they after you?"

"I know...I know...I was afraid this would happen...my father and I took a risk by coming here...I never dreamed they'd find me this fast."

"Rosie...is that really your name?"

"No...on my planet I'm known as Princess Rosmarinus the 24th."

"You're...a...a Princess?"

"Yes..."

We heard a noise and we ducked down under the desks.

"Uh...could you turn your glow off?"

"Sorry."

She transformed back into her human self only she was completely naked. I gasped and turned away.

"So...Rosie...its apparent you and your Dad tried to escape these things huh?"

"Yes..."

I took off my jacket and without looking handed it to her. She zipped it up and pulled her beautiful red hair out of the back of it. The door rattled and finally opened.

"Bry?!"

"That's Harvey! Harv!"

He ran over to us as we got out from under the desk.

"Thank God!"

"How did you know I was here?"

"The cafeteria was a mess and I just started with the one class I knew you loved..."

"What about those things?"

"Those big ugly basturds took off in their ship...they didn't seem to content on leaving, but they practically flew over the ambulance Lola and I were sitting in."

"Really?" How is she?"

"Her leg is broken..."

"God..."

"And I knew you could take care of yourself...but when you didn't come back I got worried...but I see you and Rosie took advantage of the dire situation and got busy!"

"No...no it's not like that okay we-"

"Bruh she's naked!"

"Harvey!"

"I'm an alien! They were after me and everytime I transform I lose my clothes!"

Rosie suddenly shouted.

We both looked at her.

"Alright...well I thought high school couldn't get any stranger."

"Let's go..." I breathed.

The school was then shut down. The government tried its best to hide what happened. I was at home with my family, Rosie and her father; we had to know the truth. Shocklingly her dad showed us his true form He was a full Florauna.

"I am very sorry to have put your son and so many people in danger, as luck would have it, I'm very fortunate to know he is the great Ben Tennyson's grandson."

"His grandson or not, you could have got him killed!" Mom screamed.

"Mom!"

"No no Bry...I don't want to hear it...You came here with the slight suspicion you could have been followed. Of all the places in the galaxy to go! I raise Bryan to be as normal as possible and Charlie and I swore we could put a stop to all of this by erasing his memory!"

"It couldn't have been helped Mom, our family needs our memories, all of them, and this is our life!"

"I didn't raise you to talk to me like that!"

"Harmione!"

We looked at Dad.

"Let Mr. Robey finish."

"But Char-"

"Harmione."

Mom sat down quietly. There was a knock at the door. Isabelle answered.

"Harmione!" My grandpa Ben rushed in, followed by my grandma Hope.

"Is everybody okay...we...wow a Florauna I haven't seen or been one of those in a while."

Mr. Robey cleared his throat.

"Please allow me to explain...I am King Leo Robertius the 49th. My daughter is Princess Rosmarinus Robertius the 24th...my wife is the late Queen Raven Robertius the 39th."

"I thought the planet Flors Verdance was mostly colony like?" Ben prompted.

"Our sister planet is...we are Florauna from the planet Xenon. It is very true that we tend to stay in colonies but going back a few years we changed our ways to monarchy. We chose to follow a set of rules and guidelines that we set in place for ourselves. There was no crime on Xenon until one year ago...they came."

"Yeah...who are they?" I asked.

"They are they reason Rosie and I fled our homeworld."

"So let me get this straight... You two were supposed to be the rulers and you just left your people unprotected?!" My grandpa Ben exclaimed angrily.

"We had no choice!"

"There's always a choice!"

"They killed my mother..." Rosie spoke up sadly.

The room grew quiet again.

"My little girl is more than just a Florauna...she's an anodite like her mother was...and yet she's still sprouting as a Florauna...I couldn't send her away by herself...I didn't know if she'd be safe...Earth seemed to be the one planet we could blend in easily...but now...now they have found us."

"Why did they attack in the first place?" Grandma Hope asked.

"They have many names, but to my people they are known as the Sanguis Lunai or just Lunai for short. They are a powerful race of ancient beings who used to rule the galaxy but have been dormant for a long time. Every 2000 years they will wake, & purge the galaxy of the weakest civilizations. They drink the blood of other members of their own species as a delicacy. They are ruthless and feel no remorse or show no mercy...It was a year ago...they entered our atmosphere."

As King Leo told us their story we sat in silence and our breath was still.

"Raven and I met many many years ago...I never dreamed I'd fall in love with her kind...but I did and we had Rosie. We were all next in our family's line to control and establish the order of our planet...The Lunai came and began destroying our precious city."

"Raven!" I shouted. "We must flee!"

"Go on Leo! Take Rosie and run!"

She fought valiantly against them, but there were too many. Even with my people's enhanced strength and durability they cut us up and tore us down like we weren't even there...there demands were simple...They wanted to use our planet as their next hibernating grounds. They also wished to have their powers and abilities enhanced by having anodite blood in their families. To establish this they needed my Raven to procreate with their leader. Raven refused, and they..."

Leo stopped talking. He looked down. Rosie touched his hand.

"The beheaded her...in front of Rosie and myself...they threatened us and told us that Rosie would help them procreate their children...I couldn't let them...and I couldn't let them kill her as they did Raven...We had to escape...and escape we did...I became Riley Robey, and she became Rosie Robey respectfully. I found a job at the lumber company...and we had hoped that we could have a normal human life here on Earth...and that the Lunai would go back to sleep for the next 2000 years and forget all about us."

"Well...they left...Harvey said they flew away." I spoke out. I then sighed.

"They'll be back...won't they?"

"Yes...yes they'll be back...I have a feeling that their leader will be coming now as well..." King Leo mumbled.

"I am so sorry Ben Tennyson...but now that they know we're here...and have stepped upon your soil and got a taste of human blood...Earth now faces the same destruction Xenon suffered. We are all doomed."
