Chapter 6
I really admired how Harmione and Charlie handled getting my nephew back. I know it was difficult. Bryan was kidnapped by a sick sadistic man known as Franz Lovelace. He owned a huge million dollar company that invested in making advanced technology. He was in fact trying to give Bryan away to Vilgax. He hatched up an evil scheme to give him to him, so that Vilgax could raise Bryan on his own, and use him as collateral; if my sister or my dad tried to stop him he'd just kill Bryan. Franz was also a huge phony. He had used the power of a moonstone to force aliens to do all his work for him. That's all how he and his family's corporation became so successful. He was hoping some of the Earth could belong to him when Vilgax took over.
Vilgax no longer became a threat to us once mom and Dad took care of it. He was placed in the Null Void. As for Franz his aliens turned on him, his memory was erased and he was placed in a mental institution for the next 25 years.
For my sister, and my nephew; he was safe. Harmione got hurt pretty bad when she rescued him. She spent a few days in the hospital before she came home to a surprise pancake breakfast my family put together for her.
My attention then turned to Justice. He had been acting out of character since that night he met with those guys. I was determined to figure out what was going on with him. At first it was like he didn't want to be my brother, now it seems like he's not even my brother anymore.
That night when he came home was the first change in him I noticed. He came back through the window. I was lying on the couch in the living room. I stayed up waiting for him. I got worried when his one hour turned into two. He crept up the stairs. His footsteps were irregular. He didn't even notice me lying there cold as ice. He stumbled into the stairs landing. I followed him into Dad's old room. He seemed giddy almost bubbly cheerful. His smile was broad.
"Justice." I whispered.
"Oh hey Jes!" He said loudly.
"Ssh, not so loud!"
I stared at him. His eyes were different. They were glossed over and he couldn't keep his gaze on me or anything. His body moved with his gaze. He could hardly stand still. His mouth sat low and off center.
"Man have I missed you, you should have come with us!"
He stumbled into my arms and hugged me around the neck. Which was bizarre because we hardly ever hug. I smelled something very profound in his breath. I angrily pushed him away. He hit the floor pretty hard but all he could do was laugh.
"You're drunk, and you're only 14 Justice, how did you manage to get-"
"Ssh...you make a big deal out of...out, out of everything...the guyss and I...nothing could ssstop us..." He chuckled.
"What are you taking about?"
"It's just what I said- gosh I missed you!"
He was still in the floor. He wrapped his arms around my ankles.
"Get off!"
I pulled away.
"Aww Jesse Jess...don't be that way."
He laughed and got to his feet. He almost fell backwards. He busted out laughing.
"Justice..."
"Tyson met thisss uh...this girl right? She uh...haha...she gave him her phone number...but it waaasn't hers...it was fake!"
He cackled.
"Ssh! Justice be quiet!"
"Whoo hoo! Be quiet!" He laughed again.
"You'll wake up Grampa Carl!"
"Grampa Carl? What's he gonna do, just try and take me you old fat ass mother f-"
"Justice!"
Justice laughed so hard he was crying. Justice acted as if he was throwing a punch in Grampa Carl's direction. He spun forward and fell over. I sighed heavily.
"Come on...let's go to bed."
"Okay mom!"
Justice stumbled into bed and threw the covers back. He screamed with joy as he pulled the covers back over him.
"Ssh, shut up!"
"Shut up!" He mocked back and wheezed.
I had no idea what those guys forced Justice to do. I can't believe he actually said yes to it. During the night Justice got up to vomit violently. I entered the bathroom to see him with his face in the toilet.
"Hey...Justice, are you okay?"
"Don't talk to me Jesse." He snapped.
I sighed and took a wash cloth out of the hall closet. I wet it with cold water and placed it on the back of Justice's neck. He gasped.
"What are you doing?!"
"I just wanted to help."
"Well stop I don't need it."
"Okay." I replied somberly. I left him alone after that.
By morning he was too sick to go to school. He stayed in bed. Grandma Sandra said she must have accidently under cooked the meat we all ate for dinner that night. Only I knew the truth.
A few days later after Harmione got out of the hospital like I said; we had a pancake breakfast at her house. Justice was no longer speaking with me. I mean before we spoke very little, now we didn't speak at all. When we finally were able to go back home with mom and dad he even moved his pillow and blanket to the couch in our living room. He moves it back every morning so our parents don't suspect a thing. As far as they know we're so close its scary; and our bond is stronger than ever.
The school halls became a jungle to me, with dangers at every turn. I was almost ready to come clean about being homosexual until something happened to make me change my mind. I knew it wouldn't matter. People bully me, and they don't know I am gay. I thought if I said anything would just give them a reason to bully me. It would only add more fuel to the flame. On top of that Justice bullies me now too. Before he just hid in the shadows and watched it take place. Now he himself pushes me into my locker every other morning before class. My right shoulder has a bruise from where he slammed into me. All of that though was nothing compared to what Justice and his so called friends did next.
