After Voldemort disappeared on that fateful night of October 31, 1981, the young widow Brigítte Rosier nee Bonaccord fled back to France. Fearing the persecution that the British may place upon her and her infant daughter's shoulders for the war crimes committed by her husband, the late death eater Evan Rosier, who was killed by the auror and order member, Alastor Moody only months before. Especially as without her dead husband's protection, she couldn't count on his family to protect her, seeing as the only other one left living from the once powerful Rosier family was the currently 12 year old unofficial lord and head of the family, Felix Rosier, who still couldn't claim legal lordship due to his young age and therefore unable to harness the full political power of the ancient and noble house.

Brigítte Élodie Bonaccord was a french pureblood witch and a member of the prestigious noble Bonaccord family of France. A direct descendant of Supreme Mugwump, Pierre Bonaccord, the first Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, whose family has had a strong influence over the French ministry for hundreds of years. She was the younger sister to the then-heir and current lord of the Ancient and Noble house of Bonaccord, Gabriel Lucien Bonaccord, when she married her husband Evan, whom her family arranged for her to marry, for powerful political connections with Britain and an investment for their family in the future in perchance Voldemort wins and takes over the country. This union also serves as an insurance for their family if ever the dark lord turns his attention to France after taking over Britain. After all there was only a narrow channel separating the two countries.

Brigítte and her fiancé Evan rarely got to see each other, a scant few meetings during the summer holidays whenever the Rosier family decides to visit France is far from enough to really get to know each other. Not to mention the constant stubborn presence of their various chaperones who were tasked to constantly accompany them wherever they go, making sure they both were behaving with proper decorum as was expected from a pureblood. This constant presence around them, prevents them from ever having an honest heart-to-heart and really talk about how they feel about being betrothed to each other or really get to know each other for real without any airs that purebloods like to put up with people outside of family.

That was why, Brigítte walked down the aisle without really knowing her husband, aside from a few basic details: that he went to Hogwarts, he was a member of the Slytherin house for the cunning and ambitious, he's the nephew of the deceased lord of the Rosier family, he is a proud death eater and a member of Voldemort's inner circle, and that he was an excellent duelist.

The first few months of their marriage, their relationship was a bit stilted. Evan was distant in nature, but very polite and gentlemanly. He was frequently out doing death eater assignments, it was clear that he enjoyed it very much. They had little to talk about, seeing as Brigítte didn't really want to know what goes on in death eater raids, knowing that there were activities involved which she really couldn't stomach; and what little she knew of the character of the man that was her husband, disappeared completely whenever he wore his death eater mask, as if turning him into a more sadistic, cruel, violent person in contrast to the usually soft spoken, gentle, charming young man that he shows with her. She wasn't even sure which of the two contrasting personalities her husband really is, but it was highly obvious to Brigítte that he didn't really want to get married, and that he married her purely to perform his duty and to uphold his family's interests.

Still, Brigítte was thankful that he was at least kind to her and didn't treat her as a mere slave or broodmare like the horror stories that she had heard happen to other women, specifically those with veela blood like her, no matter how faded or far back the family line it was.

Those with veela heritage are rather plentiful in France. Especially as their school, Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons are rather open to accepting students with creature blood in them unlike other schools, such as the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who rarely, if ever, accepts students with creature heritage. But on the lighter note, Hogwarts is rather known to be the most accepting of muggle-born students of the three largest european schools for magic in Europe. Институтот Дурмстранг or Durmstrang Institute, on the other hand, strictly does not allow any muggle-born students in their halls, but they do admit some students with darker creature heritage such as those with vampiric and were heritage. All in all, could classify Beauxbâtons as the least prejudiced against those with creature blood, Hogwarts as the least prejudiced against muggles and muggle-borns, and Durmstrang least prejudiced against those that are dark inclined.

The French school is located by the mountains of Pyrenees, its chateau is blessed with generally great weather and stunning scenery year round. The students are mostly composed of French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Luxembourgian, and Belgian students, though students from other countries are also accepted if they wish to attend. Beauxbatons has a higher intake of students than Hogwarts because of this.

Brigítte has proudly walked the halls of Beauxbâtons ever since the young age of 8 years old, like all other students of the school. This is also the place where she will eventually meet her best friend, Apolline Belleflamme, who is a year above her.

The academy starts education at a young age, unlike the two other European schools, as they prefer to teach their students subjects such as magical theory and introductory courses for better comprehension of their future subjects. Though they start young, they do not actually let their students use magic or give them wands until the age of 11, as the courses that they will be studying before then will be purely theoretical and aimed to give students a more in-depth understanding on the nature of magic. To mark their completion of these basic introductory 3, they will be sorted into one of the three houses of Beauxbâtons: Bellefeuille, Ombrelune, and Papillonlisse; as per tradition and celebration of finishing these courses.

After 3 years of passionless marriage, Brigítte finally fell pregnant, and 9 months later, Céline Anaïs Rosier of the Ancient and Noble House of Rosier, or Reece as she is lovingly called by her parents, was born as the daughter of Evan Rosier, currently the regent Lord of the Rosier Family as his younger cousin Felix and real Head and Lord of the family is still underage, and Lady Brigítte Élodie Rosier née Bonaccord. Her birth was also welcomed by her godmother, Madame Apolline Delacour née Belleflamme, and godfather, Lord Lucius Abraxas Malfoy, who is a good friend of Evan's.

During the course of her pregnancy, Brigítte and Evan, happy and excited of forming their own family, began to get closer to each other. They finally had something common to talk about and plan upon. Brigítte learned that Evan was quiet by nature but very passionate in things that he believed in, and would stop at nothing to pursue his goals. He was resourceful, cunning, and very very talented in duelling. He was not afraid of fighting battle-hardened aurors or talented members of Dumbledore's Order, in fact the fight makes him feel exhilarated and alive. Brigítte found herself slowly but surely falling in love.

But, just about a year after Reece was born, Evan was killed in a fight against the fearsome Auror Alastor "Mad-eye" Moody, who also just barely survived. Moody lost his nose and a leg in the same fight.

Brigítte mourned her husband and shut herself in their manor with their daughter. Unable to leave the house for fear of her and her daughter's safety now that they don't have anyone to protect them when things go wrong and they accidentally get caught in a crossfire of spells in the war between the dark and the light.

When news of the dark lord's demise and the light's victory arrived, Brigítte packed everything important, took her daughter, and immediately left, returning to her home in France where she knew her family's influence will protect her and her daughter from possible harm and repercussions of her husband's war crimes. Afterall, her husband's affiliation with the dark isn't exactly a secret, and her maiden name holds little to no influence in the British ministry unlike that in France. She was practically powerless and a nobody in British soil, unable to protect her and her daughter against the power of the ministry if the need arises.

That was why Reece was fully raised in France by her mother, and her mother's family, her Aunt Lianna and Uncle Gabriel, and their three children: Timothée, Grégoire, Aglaia; whom she will be attending Beauxbatons with.

But, she longs to go to Hogwarts, to see and experience for herself the place where her father grew up and learned to be the powerful duellist that he was, as told to her by her mother, until his untimely death. Though her mother remains unrelenting with her pleadings of going there instead of Beauxbatons, Céline knew that it was only a matter of time before she finally convinced her mother to allow her to go.
