Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Remutated
Chapter 4: April's House
It was raining as April and Zach sat in April's house. They were waiting for the turtles to arrive. Since April's father was out on a business trip, it was safe for the turtles to finally visit the residence of their friend.
"How long is it gonna take them to get here", asked Zach, "I spent my whole allowance on all this food…."
April replied, "it's a good thing our jobs at Channel Six pays well. Otherwise this would actually set us back a good chunk of cash."
"True on that….", Zach relented with a shrug as he took a fried shrimp and ate it.
That's when they both heard a knock at... The window?
April walked over and opened the window, seeing the four turtles standing there.
Mikey asked, "would you like a subscription to Turtles' Home Companion?"
Zach rolled his eyes and replied, "... Get in here, before anyone sees you, alright?"
The Turtles scrambled inside, taking in the house around them.
"Pretty sweet pad you got here", Raph commented.
Leo added, "yeah, but it could use a few more defenses."
Donnie said, "Leo, don't be rude. A-April invited us here, so at least we can be polite."
Leo replied, "you're right. I'm sorry."
"Aw, sweet; there's food!" Mikey exclaimed, "talk about a mondo sweet spread!"
Zach replied, "feel free to dig in. Expand your pallets and what not."
And so the Turtles went over to the table, and proceeded to tuck into the food with their friends.
Mikey obviously started with the pizza set on the table.
Donnie asked, "so uh, April? What does your dad do for a living?"
April replied, "my dad's a scientist. He's off on a business trip."
Leo asked, "what about your mom?"
April looked down when she heard that.
"... Oh", Mikey picked up, "did she…. Y'know…. Pass?"
April nodded and looked to Zach
Zach looked to the turtles and said, "she passed away a long time ago. April was too little to remember much, and her dad doesn't talk about it a lot."
"... Ah. We're sorry that happened", replied Leo, "we won't bring it up any further. Besides, you guys invited us to hang out and have fun, right?"
Zach replied, "yeah, so let's do something fun!"
April smiled, feeling better thanks to her friends' attitude.
"Then let's go for it", Mikey said as he hopped onto the couch and turned on some cartoons while eating some of the fried shrimp.
Zach chuckled as each of the turtles did their own thing.
...
Meanwhile, back at the lair.
Splinter was currently meditating.
Suddenly, he heard a sound in the distance, approaching his location.
"Strange…. I didn't expect them to be back so early….", he muttered to himself.
Splinter sniffed the air and said, "I smell no turtles. Only humans. Something is wrong..."
...
Back at the house.
Rapb had a worried look on his face.
Mikey asked, "Raph? What's wrong?"
Raph replied, "I dunno. I feel like something is off back home."
Zach shrugged and said, "eh, those are just your nerves talking. How could anyone find the lair?"
Raph looked out the window and said, "maybe you're right..."
...
Splinter was still facing the wall as he slowly picked up a sheathed katana.
As he got ready to protect himself, he saw that he was being approached by people clad in dark, concealing outfits and masks, ready to surround him.
Splinter glares at them as he takes out his blade, the light glinting off of it.
"If you seek to capture me, you are welcome to try….", he glowered, "... But a cornered rat is more than likely to bite back!"
One of the men ran forward with a blade, but Splinter was quick to disarm them and fling them into the wall.
The ninjas attacked, and Splinter was able to take them on…. But he knew that he couldn't fight them all forever.
Splinter fought with all of his might, deflecting every attack sent at him as the place started to get trashed by the duel.
But as he continued to fight, it was getting tougher to continue the battle….
….
Meanwhile, back at April's house….
The Turtles and their new friends were continuing to enjoy their time together.
Zach and Mikey had begun playing one of Zach's favorite games.
Raph asked, "why the heck do you guys play as toads named after acne?"
Zach replied, "dunno, but it's fun as heck to play!"
"Not to mention, there's one about them meeting four mutant sharks", Mikey added.
Raph asked, "Alien toads? Mutant sharks? What's next, motorcycle-riding mice from Mars?"
April quickly tucked said comic underneath the couch.
Donnie retorted, "oh, and turtles that happen to be ninjas, teenagers and mutants sounds normal?"
"It's normal for US", shrugged Raph, "but I think the craziest thing would be hockey-playing alien ducks."
Leo suggested, "or basketball playing Warner Bros characters?"
The others kept listing crazy suggestions for things.
All in all, it was a delightful time; but every good time has to come to an end eventually.
"Uh-oh; guys, look at the time", said Leo.
Raph exclaimed, "aw crap, we gotta get home. Splinter's gonna freak if we aren't home in time."
Donnie looked at April and said, "uh, t-thanks for having us over April."
April smiled and said, "no problem. Come over any time, at least when dad isn't home."
Miley high fives Zach and says, "see you guys later!"
With that, The Turtles quickly made their way out the window, and began making their way home.
"They liked us! They really liked us", Mikey exclaimed as he leapfrogged from rooftop to rooftop.
"April was pretty cute- cool! I mean cool", Donnie spoke up.
Leo added, "it was nice talking to people who watch my favorite show."
Raph shrugged and said, "yeah, it's nice to have people to talk to."
The turtles came to a manhole in an alleyway, and made their way into the sewers.
….
The boys continued talking as they headed through the tunnels, until they finally reached their sewer lair.
Everything was in shambles! Objects of all kinds had been strewn about the floor.
Donnie asked, "w-what happened?!"
Leo exclaimed, "Master Splinter? Father?"
Raph was the first to run in, searching through the lair yelling.
"Dad? Master Splinter?! Dad! DAD!? DAAAAD?!"
Miley picked up the picture frame of the family, the glass cracked like a web in the corner.
Donnie asked, "who…. Who could have done this?"
Raph picked up Splinter's cane, which had several slashes on it from a blade.
Raph began breathing erratically; tears stinging his eyes, and he started yelling as loud as he could in rage!
All of New York could practically hear it.
….
April overheard the sounds of knocking on her window, and as she went to look out, she saw it was the Turtles, each of them looking very solemn.
April opened the window and asked, "guys? What's wrong?"
Leo muttered, "Splinter…. He's…. Gone..."
April held a shocked look before saying, "I'll call Zach."
...
Meanwhile, at the Foot Clan Lair.
Shredder was sitting in a chair as the three attackers spoke to him.
They were out of the ninja grab.
One was a man with a purple mohawk and visor, wearing a red vest and black pants.
Near him was a man with fiery red hair in a yellow jersey and green camo pants.
And the third was a muscular man with a purple Dragon tattoo on his arms, wearing black clothes.
The first two were Bebop and Rocksteady, goons for hire.
The third was Hun, leader of the Purple Dragons, a gang working for the Foot Clan.
Hun asked, "what is our next move, Master Shredder?"
Shredder replied, "interrogate the rat. Find out who he is, how he knows of us, and find me these... Turtles, he has trained with the two teenagers we have been hunting down."
Hun cracked his massive knuckles, "of course, sir", he smiled, "I think we can…. Negotiate something with him."
Shredder then commanded, "take Bebop and Rocksteady with you. Their unique brand of…. Persuasion may come in handy."
"Sure", Hun nodded, gesturing to the two thugs, who were eager to dish out their own brand of pain.
As they left, Shredder muttered, "mutant animals. It makes one wonder…. What else is out there?"
During this, Hun, Bebop and Rocksteady slowly approached a chained up Splinter, who had a look of rage on his face...
...
Meanwhile
April and Zach watched as the turtles placed their belongings into the basement of the house. April was letting them stay until they could find Splinter, as well as a new home.
"We don't mind having you guys around some more", replied Zach, "and we're sorry that this happened to you."
Leo replied, "it's alright. You guys couldn't have known. I just hope dad's okay."
"We gotta go put there and start looking as hard as we can", Raph added.
"What we 'gotta' do is figure out who took him", said Leo, "that way, we know where to look."
Zach suggested, "what about these Foot Clan guys? They've been after me and April. They might've managed to figure out where the lair was in the past couple of weeks we've been training there."
"There's a possibility", said Donnie, "but of course, we'd have to find where they're hiding out."
Raph asked, "and how exactly are we gonna do that? The only way we're gonna find out where they are is if they find us first."
Just then, there was a knock on the door, drawing everyone's attention.
April asked, "uh, no-one ordered pizza, did they?"
Mikey replied, "no, but now I want some."
April and Zach went up to the door as the turtles all hid in various places.
Mikey in the closet.
Raph behind the kitchen curtains.
Donnie in the bathroom.
And Leo in one of the bedrooms.
Zach opened the door.
"Hi, can we help you", he asked.
Irma was standing there with a box of pizza!
Irma smiled and said, "hey guys!"
"Oh! Hey, Irma", said April, "what's with the pizza?"
Irma replied, "I just wanted to surprise you guys with something to eat!"
Irma walked in, making April and Zach worried about her discovering the turtles.
"Oh! Well…. Thanks, Irma", Zach replied with a sheepish smile, "we really appreciate that."
Irma smiled, but then grew confused as she saw one of Mikey's nunchucks on the table.
Zach and April looked at one another with the same expression that meant, "oh crap."
Irma asked, "what's up with the nunchucks?"
"Those? Oh…. They're mine", Zach said as he went over and picked them up, before spinning them around a few times.
Mikey cringed as he watched from the closest.
That's when Irma caught sight of Raph's toes behind the curtains.
"Huh…. If you say so….", Irma replied as she made her way over to the curtains, slowly and carefully.
Zach and April followed behind, giving worried looks as April asked, "so, uh, Irma? Anything interesting going on with you?"
"Oh, not much….", Irma replied casually.
Raph grew tense as Irma grew closer.
Irma then said, "just wanted to let you know about THIS!"
Irma stomped on Raph's making him jump up. Irma backed away as the turtles fell put of their hiding spots.
Raph gave an angry look and said, "can I kill her? Please? Just a punch or something?!"
Leo and Donnie held Raph back as Mikey awkwardly waved at Irma.
Who quickly fainted.
"You can't hit a girl, Raph", exclaimed Leo, "it's just not right, y'know?"
"What ain't right is this mousy little jerk snooping on us", Raph retorted.
Donnie replied, "yeah, but you can't just hit her!"
Raph asked, "why not? We try to hit April all the time!"
Leo retorted, "that's only for training!"
Zach exclaimed, "everyone calm down!"
Raph asked, "who even is this?"
April turned to Raph and said, "it's Irma. She's naturally nosey. Let's just hope she doesn't freak out like I did when she wakes up."
A few minutes went by as the turtles put Irma on the couch.
Zach put a blanket on her, up to her neck.
Zach, "alright, when she wakes up, we gotta ease into the whole; 'teenage mutant ninja turtles' thing."
April and the others nodded as Irma started to wake up a few moments later.
"Hey…. You're awake", Zach said, looking down.
Irma still had her eyes closed as she said, "I had the strangest dream. I thought I saw a bunch of giant turtles in April's house!"
"Heh…. Yeah, dream….", April said, sheepish, "about that…."
That's when Irma caught sight of Mikey chewing a slice of pizza.
Irma was about to start screaming, but Zach quickly put his hand over her mouth.
"Just…. Just chill, okay", he urged, "they're not gonna hurt anybody."
April added, "these are the guys who saved me from the Foot Clan!"
Irma seemed to calm down, so Zach removed his hand.
Irma asked, "turtles? Explain? Please?"
Zach and April nodded as they and the Turtles began telling the story of Splinter and his sons.
….
One explanation later….
"... Sounds like the backstory for a toy line based on a comic book….", Irma remarked, cleaning her glasses.
"You'd think so, but nope; this is real as it gets", said April.
Irma asked, "so, where is your father now?"
Raph answered, "we have no idea."
Leo added, "we can only hope to find where the Foot Clan is, so we can rescue him."
"This city is full of thousands of people", Zach exclaimed, "how are we supposed to figure out which of them is working with the Foot?"
Irma suggested, "well, chances are, if the Foot Clan is after you guys, that'll be your chance to fight them."
The others nodded in agreement.
Little did they all know of what they would soon be facing in the near future...

Amanny: I'm glad you enjoyed what I put in that chapter, and the origins we did for the turtles.
Shakespeare1994: glad you like the chapter. I figured I'd get to April training quicker. Karai will learn her true heritage soon. Zach is loosely based on a blonde kid the turtles met in the 87 show, so I took that character and revamped them into this story.
jurassicdinodrew: I'm glad you're liking everything so far. Don't worry, I don't plan on killing Splinter. And I'll have Mona Lisa appear really soon...
Jinero: their appearances are as follows. The turtles from Batman vs TMNT, Splinter, Mona Lisa, Renett and the younger versions of April, Casey, Karai and Irma from the 2012 show. The older versions of April, Casey, Karai and Irma would look like their 80's/2003 versions. As for how each of the character would react to the events of the Killing Joke storyline; all of them would share the same feelings of shock and horror.
Echo Five: it's fine if you do. He does an amazing job. I even said Super Shredder would have that voice

As you can see, the story is like a combo of the first movie and the 2012 show. Including Splinter getting kidnapped, but having more characters from 2012 arriving.
