Chapter 7
Thoughts and Friends
Star flew home after training, thinking about what the Bee Woman said. An army? She wonders how bees could have a king? She knew that most hives had a Queen Bee, not like Paulina. And that woman mention taking something that will help the army crossover. If the army was stopped because she took something, and it was bad, then she'll be glad to keep it away from them. Star flew through the air and saw the sun setting over the town. Last time, she was in too much of a hurry to watch it, but now? It was beautiful. She smiles as she floated there for a few minutes before feeling something warning her of an attack. She turns and saw an ectoblast heading for her and quickly dodges. She looks down and saw her friend Valerie, dress as the Red Hunteress. She had a feeling that she believes what the news said about her and Phantom.
"Really? You think the two of us are together?" Star asked, sighing.
"Anyone that's a friend to that ghost kid is an enemy to me!" Valerie said.
Star sighs as she knew why her friend was doing this. She always blames Phantom for what happened to her. But Star knew there was another side to the story.
She dodges another shot and flew close to her, knocking the weapon out of her hands.
"You were always so quick to judge others without looking at the other side. I know who you are Red Huntress, and you never try to listen before you act." She said, shocking her friend.
"You don't know me!" She said.
"Yes, I do! You blame Danny Phantom for ruining your life without hearing his side of the story or listening to him when he's trying to explain what happened." Star said.
"Like I'll believe anything that ghost punks say! And don't think I'm going to listen to you as well!" Valerie said, making her shoulder missiles pop up.
Star already acted. Because she was really close, she couldn't miss this shot. She quickly covers it with her honey and glares at her friend.
"You need to stop being a hothead! You need to stop thinking that destroying Danny Phantom is going to make your life better, it won't!" She said.
"What?" Valerie asked, surprised.
"I know I don't have mind-reading powers, but I know how you act when Danny Phantom is brought up. Do you really think killing him is going to get the life you had back? Do you think you'll sleep better at night knowing he is gone? Do you think people will praise you as a hero? WAKE UP, VALERIE! IT WON'T!" Star yelled.
"How do you know my name?" Valerie asked, shocked.
Star's eyes widen when she realizes her mistake. However, she was smart and knew how to cover herself.
"It's not that hard when there are two people that talk a lot of hate towards one person, and your voice sounds the same." She said.
"What?" Valerie asked.
"I've only been like this for a few days. I was born a human. A ghost caused me to become this, but I'm not going around placing the blame on ghosts and trying to destroy them. I don't really think of this form as a curse. But as a chance to be someone else. Never look a gift of a horse's mouth as they say." She said.
Valerie really didn't get this girl. She became the way she is because of ghosts, and she not blaming them?!
"Why? They're ghosts! They don't care about anyone!" Valerie said.
"Do they? Or is that that what you keeping telling yourself?!" Star said.
"What?" Valerie asked, shocked.
"The girl I see before me is someone that doesn't want to admit she wrong. Someone that wants to think she is right and everyone else would see like she does. That's not how things work." Star said.
"What do you know?!" Valerie shouted.
"THERE! I told you why you're acting like this, and you just prove my point! I might not know a lot about Danny Phantom, but I can tell he's more than a ghost. He's a teen! Like you, like me! Or do you not care?" Star said.
Valerie glares, not liking what this girl was saying. Star sighs and backs away.
"So, you don't want to listen. That's just like you." She said, sighing.
"What are you talking about?" Valerie asked, confused.
"I'm sorry for this," Star said, popping her stinger out and stung her.
Valere felt her body stop moving and Star caught her before she fell.
"What did you do to me?" Valerie asked, unable to move.
"You're fine. You won't able to move for a few hours. And before you claim that I did this to trick you, I did it to stop whatever you had planned for me. You can't keep thinking like this. It will destroy you." Star said, carrying her.
"You don't know anything! Ghosts are dangerous!" Valerie shouted.
"Are they? Or are you dangerous?" Star asked.
"I hunt down ghosts to stop them!" Valerie.
"No, you hunt ghosts to take your anger out on. Keeping doing that, and you might start hurting people, forcing Danny Phantom to stop you." Star said, seeing Valerie's home.
It did pain her to see her friend living like this, but she had a roof over her head.
"He won't!" Valerie said.
Star sighs and flew into her friend's room.
"You're sounding like there's no hope for you. I would hate to hurt you if you fall down the wrong path." Star sighs before turning towards the window.
"Think about your actions, Valerie. Everything has two sides to it." Star said, flying out the window.
She flew through the air, sighing. She was really worried her friend was driving down a dark path if she doesn't stop. If she has to, she will fight her.
Danny sighs as he sat down on his bed with his friends. Training was a lot different today. Honey was far different than yesterday. She was more into learning about her abilities, and after fighting that bee woman, Danny couldn't blame her. If all of those bees were as strong as her, then he would need to stop holding back to beat them.
"Dude? You okay?" Tucker asked.
"Yeah, just thinking about the attack we had. The Bee woman was something else. And I don't mean look-wise." Danny said.
"Yeah, and the way she controlled those bees? Something was not right about her." Tucker agreed.
"She seems to be looking for Honey. I heard her mention that she took something from them." Sam said.
"Yeah, I heard the same thing," Tucker said.
Danny didn't know what the woman was talking about, but he did know that Honey didn't want to hand it over to her. After nearly being caught by that woman, Danny wouldn't want to be caught by her either.
"What if she stole something very dangerous?" Sam asked.
"Like what?" Tucker asked.
"I don't know. A weapon or something?" Sam said.
"She mentions something about bringing an army over. She said it was to help the town, but Honey didn't believe her. Whatever she took must be what keeping the army in the portal." Danny said.
"Yeah, I don't think this town is ready for another invasion," Tucker said.
Hearing Tucker's words made Sam a bit worried. She didn't want to say this, but she might as well.
"What if, Honey took the thing she did to control the army herself?" She said, shocking the boys.
"Whoa! Sam, really?" Tucker said, shocked.
"I know, I know. But we have to look at all the possibles here." Sam said.
"While I get where you're coming from Sam, I doubt Honey is going to lead an invasion," Danny said.
"I'm just saying," Sam said.
Danny really didn't think Honey would do something like that. Sure, she's a bit mysterious, but she didn't give off a bad vibe. In fact, there was something about her that said she was looking for redemption. Like she was given a second chance. A chance to make up for her mistakes. Which greatly confused him.
Still, he better keep up with his training. Maybe he could see what Honey took and try to keep it safe.
Museum...
Lily bows to the King as he stood near the portal.
"She inside a larva. It will be a few days before she becomes a full Bee." He said.
"I have scouted the town and found many other people that could be useful for the army." She said.
"Really? All the more reason to add them." King Bee said.
"My King? If I may?" Sting spoke up.
"What is it, Sting?" He said.
"I was wondering if we could build your army here? The Museum has a huge basement and..." Sting said.
"Denied." He said.
"But..." Sting started before catching himself.
"Find those people, and bring them to the hive." He said, making Lily bow.
King Bee disappears, and Sting growls.
"Fool! He's stopping a backup plan in case the girl finds out!" He said.
"Relax, my dear. I have already plan ahead. I took some of the larvae from the hive and put them there. They are making their hive as we speak." Lily smiles.
"Ah! Thinking ahead my dear? That's why I love you." Sting smiles.
"And I love you," Lily said as they shared a kiss.
"However, the foolish king might learn of it..." Sting said, breaking the kiss.
"Don't worry about it. We have hundreds of larvae in the hive. No one will notice a few are missing." Lily said.
"If only you give birth to more. Sadly, you weren't born to be a queen." He said.
"Maybe not, but in time we'll have a new queen, and the king will learn his place. After all, a drone should not be ruling us." Lily smiles.
"Are you sure I'll be king? You're already mad about the one you have now." Sting asked.
"Nonsense, my dear. King or no king, you'll be welcome to our hive. I love you too much to kick you out." Lily said, putting her hand on his cheek.
"And I love you." Sting smiles.
With Star...
Star flew into an alley close to her home and saw the area was clear. She closes her eyes and a honeycomb surrounds her. It was covered in honey before Star steps out, back in her human form. The honeycomb disappears as Star walks up to her house. She enters and saw Susan walking up to her.
"Welcome home, Miss Skylight." She said.
"Susan, I told you and the others to call me Star." Star smiles.
"Of course, Miss Star." Susan smiles back.
Star shook her head. Susan was one of the few people that Star was really close to. She knew Susan love messing with her. She has been doing so since she was born. They soon heard a knock and Susan opens it.
"Yes?"
"Ms. Calen?" The officer said.
"What can I do for you, officer?" She asked.
Star was confused, and listen closely.
"I'm sad to report that Elise Skylight is missing." The Officer said.
And that this chapter. Star tries to talk some sense into Valerie. And why didn't Star tell her the truth? Well, she still learning about her powers. Do you think that she tell any who she is? Also, it appears that both Sting and Lily are plotting behind the king's back. Sam is still jealous, and Danny is still defending her. Star's mother is reported missing. How is she going to take it? Well, seeing how she was barely in her life, it's a 50-50. Anyways, as for Star's mother transformation, it's something I made up.
After the Humanoid Bee captures the person they determine to fit their hive, they are taking back to the hive. During the trip, the person slowly loses their memories due to the feeling inside the abdomen. Still working on that part. After being taken to the hive, they are placed inside a larva where they slowly transform into a Humanoid Bee. However, Star doesn't know it yet, but she can reverse the transformation. Still work working on that one too.
One last thing, thanks to everyone for sending me ideas for Star's Bee Powers. I'll try my best to throw them in. And to answer a Guest Reviewer about the other Monster Girls idea, I'm okay with crossovers, but it does depend if I like it or not.
