In the middle of the city bank, Batgirl and Bumblebee were dealing with a villain new to Metropolis who called himself Icestreak, firing several bursts one after another at the two heroines. Using the stingers of her costume to manage to hit the villain, Karen seemed to be more worried than imagined. Barbara, on the other hand, was trying to contain the bursts by using what devices she could use, but pretty much, making her disadvantage clear at the ready.
(Karen) - Honestly speaking, this villain seems to be a lot stronger than we are. - She shoots another stinger that hits the face of Icestreak, which shoots a freezing blast towards the heroine, who shrinks in size, flying upwards and avoiding being hit by the blast. - We're in the middle of a standoff here!
(Icestreak) - So that's your little trick, Bumblebee? I must admit I'm surprised. After all, someone that small must have its advantages!
(Karen) - He talks as if I am a secret weapon, but I am nothing of the sort! - Fear was practically visible in Karen, as well as the insecurity and self-doubt she had about herself because of the villain's speech.
(Barbara) - This guy is trying to mess with your psychology, don't let him do that! - She appears behind the villain using the harpoon once again, managing to exchange some blows with the person who was in front of her, however, using one of her hands, he freezes Batgirl's legs, making her take a batarang and break the ice stone that was immobilizing them. - What are you?
(Icestreak) - Let's just say I'm a little different than those in your purview! - Before Icestreak could land another blow on Barbara, a shield hit her chest, knocking her to the ground. Looking forward, both sides saw Wonder Woman and Atlas landing before the villain, looking at him, half-confident. - Looks like we have more company for this little fight. Anything you want to say before I finish you off?
(Diana) - Your time has come, you vile being! We won't let you hurt these innocent people and our friends anymore!
(Johnny) - You think you are very confident, but that is only because your ego is inflated at this time. This will be your downfall. - He begins to conjure his powers, channeling energy into his hands, while Diana prepares her sword and takes her shield back, looking at the villain with ice powers, who only concentrated his powers in one of his hands.
(Ice Lightning) - I always wondered what a fight against Wonder Woman and the hero they call Atlas would be like. Now I wonder where the rest of the Super Hero Girls are at this point? - Diana stood half worried, while at the same time, trying to keep her composure.
(Diana) - For now, you'll have to make do with us!
(Johnny) - Would you like to do the honors? - He looks at Diana, who gets a smile on her face.
(Diana) - With pleasure. - The Amazon went on the attack, using her sword to land a few blows on the villain, who started throwing several punches at the heroine. Atlas then took the opportunity to appear behind him, throwing a punch that launched the villain forward, receiving a blow from Diana's shield that seemed to bewilder him.
(Icestreak) - I think my jaw will feel that one later. - He keeps a smug smile on his face. - Now I ask you: Do you think you have a chance against me?
(Johnny) - Depends what's on your mind, probably. - He fires a burst of energy, which ends up being blocked by the villain, to his surprise. - What?
(Icestreak) - You're not the only one with a little box of surprises, Atlas. - He fires a blast of ice from one of his hands, taking the opportunity to freeze the ground where they were standing, causing the hero to slip, causing Ice Lightning to put one of his arms in front of him with a clenched fist, punching Atlas in the face, knocking him to the ground. - I practically have multiple uses that you can't understand. - The hero stands up, giving a smug smile on his face.
(Johnny) - Is that it? - Diana takes the opportunity to throw several punches and kicks one after another, while the villain was facing backwards, throwing him on top of a car, giving the gap for Batgirl and Bumblebee to attack Icestreak, causing the villain to put one of his hands out, making his confidence clear.
(Icestreak) - This time, I'm going to turn you into popsicles for my little statue collection! - Freezing a section of the street, the quartet dodges, causing Atlas to leap, appearing behind his opponent and kicking him in the face, his body's confidence clear at that moment. - Your small group won't be enough to beat me.
(Johnny) - My friend, you are stealing very little here. This is difficult.
(Icestreak) - I'm stealing a little to prove a point. This little society that exists here in Metropolis is faced with a different situation of heroes and villains. Things have changed since beings with powers beyond our comprehension began to emerge. - The tension seemed to grow, making his doubts clear at that moment. - Deep down, we can be more than imagined. Stealing is just a standard act of those who would have no powers. For the moment, I do this to prove that deep down, times have changed.
(Johnny) - Yeah, besides, it seems that this one is a bit of an imbecile, to tell you the truth. - Suddenly, he freezes the bag of money he had with him, to the hero's surprise.
(Icestreak) - I don't need it, to tell you the truth. But I think I'll come back for the money later. After all, every self-respecting villain needs a prize. - Diana stands in front of him, leaving her weapons at the ready.
(Diana) - Your anarchy will end here! - Diana began to turn the tables on the villain, throwing one blow after another, until suddenly, Icestreak launched another blast that hit the Amazon's shield, causing her hands to freeze to her surprise. Putting her sword to the ready in an unusual way, Batgirl came up behind the villain, grabbing him with everything she had, while Bumblebee used her stingers to get at him, becoming tiny to avoid being hit by him.
(Karen) - Does anyone know where this guy has a weak spot? - Slowly, without Karen seeing, the back of her costume was freezing, until the heroine ended up falling to the ground, getting back to normal size, to her own surprise.
(Icestreak) - A curious fact about bees: Usually in ambient cold temperatures, they can't fly properly, despite their attempts. - Karen stood up, until a blast hit her body, throwing her on top of a car, being perplexed by the villain's strength. - I'm more than ready for anything they throw at me. - Barbara positioned herself in front, throwing a batarang on the ground that created a cloud of smoke, while Diana took advantage of the opportunity that was created to be able to strike several blows with her sword, causing some cuts on the villain's body and costume, while giving the gap for Atlas to launch another burst of energy from his left hand. - Get out of my way! - Pointing his hands to the sides, Icestreak launched an intense blast that ended up throwing the trio backwards, causing them to hit a brick wall, being stunned by the villain's strength.
(Barbara) - He's really good. - The villain launches another blast of ice that freezes the water in a hydrant, while at the same time, he flashes a smile on his face.
(Icestreak) - I'm going to love doing this. - Suddenly, a greenish shield protected the trio, as Karen stood up slowly and calmly, looking at what was in front of her. The presence of Jessica Cruz, the Green Lantern, was revealed before the quartet, as were Kara and Zee, who had their heroine costumes on.
(Kara) - Did we miss something?
(Johnny) - A few more minutes and they would miss the whole party. - The hero gives a light laugh, making his optimism clear in the face of such trouble on their fronts. Atlas gets up, followed by Wonder Woman, Bumblebee and Batgirl, looking at the villain in front of them.
(Zee) - Will you want to update us, by any chance?
(Icestreak) - Zatanna. Supergirl. Green Lantern. It's a great pleasure to finally get to meet them. - He snaps one of his fingers, freezing the magician's hair, much to her own shock. - After all, I am "dying" to come face-to-face with the protectors of Metropolis.
(Zee) - My hair! - He snaps one of his fingers, thawing her hair, but causing a small puddle of water, to end up falling on her, for the anger she was feeling. - Now you've gone heavy!
(Icestreak) - Apparently I'm touching a bit of a sore spot. - She launches a blast from both hands, trying to hit the heroes, until Jessica conjures a huge shield, protecting her friends, conjuring another bow and arrow to hit Ice Ray, blocking each of the arrows, dodging them with sheer dexterity. - Green Lantern, queen of the pacifists. I have to admit I'm surprised by your skills.
(Jessica) - Violence is never the option. What do you intend?
(Icestreak) - No big deal. - He launches a blast that hits Jessica's chest, almost freezing her body, being protected by the energy of her Green Lantern ring. - I just like to have a little fun. You know, it's kind of cool being face-to-face with the protectors of Metropolis. You never know what might happen when you get into a fight on that level. - He walks sideways as he looks at Green Lantern and the group of Super Hero Girls, keeping a certain confidence in his body as he looks at his opponents.
(Diana) - Your overconfidence is something that irritates a little. - Slowly, Diana started walking towards the villain. - What motivates someone like you to act like that?
(Icestreak) - Honestly, the day I found out I had powers, I wondered what my true motivation must be. Truth be told, this is the first time I've acted here in the city. I thought to myself this way: What better challenge would I have than to face the team of heroes protecting Metropolis to get to show what I'm really capable of? - The villain's hands begin to emanate ice from them, concentrating energy, as he looks at the seven heroes, standing next to each other. - This is something out of this world, to tell you the truth.
(Zee) - Don't get me wrong, but this one's a bit too show-offy to tell the truth. - Zatanna seemed to be a bit annoyed with Ice Lightning's overconfidence, to which Atlas made a facepalm, a bit annoyed.
(Johnny) - Really, Zatanna? Are you sure you don't have anything else to add?
(Icestreak) - Looks like the fashionista is out to teach a lesson now. - A vein seemed to be popping out of Zatanna's forehead at that moment.
(Zatanna) - Wait, did he just call me a fashionista? - Atlas then, approached her ear, a little nervous.
(Johnny) - Looks like it. Just be thankful he didn't call you on display right now, because then it would have been too much. - It seemed like the villain was trying to destabilize the team, seeing a chance to take advantage of them to beat the Super Hero Girls in every way he could think of right now. - Apparently, you think you're so confident, but deep down, you're probably not that strong.
(Icestreak) - Want to get this straight? - He launches another blast, with the hero creating another barrier, until suddenly, Ice Lightning came up behind Atlas, to the hero's surprise, punching him in the face that threw him on top of a car, making the boy feel pain in his body, to the indignation of Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Green Lantern, Batgirl and Supergirl. - Never underestimate the will of someone like me. - That was enough for Zee and Diana to launch an attack together, delivering blows that were enough to push the villain backwards, ending with the magician conjuring a spell that allowed her to fire another blast that hit his face, bringing him to his knees.
(Zee) - Erif! - Suddenly, a fireball was thrown towards Ice Ray, in which he froze it with his hands, forcing him to use a good portion of his power to avoid being hit by it.
(Icestreak) - I'm impressed. - Sighs, feeling the fatigue taking over his body. Batgirl then, takes the opportunity to try to kick her opponent, throwing him backwards. - Now I see what they're really capable of. - Supergirl went up, throwing a punch that hits his chest, being surprised with the force of the impact. Creating a small wall in front of her, Ice Ray tries to freeze the Kryptonian, but despite her body starting to freeze, Kara managed to free herself, grabbing the villain with one of her hands, keeping a smile on her face.
(Kara) - What's up, frosty? Got some brilliant trick in your head now? - Ice Lightning seemed to be getting a bit nervous at the situation he was in. - Maybe you'll realize that this fight is already over.
(Icestreak) - On the contrary, Supergirl... - He holds one of the heroine's hands, making Kara nervous. - I'm not done yet. - Using his powers, he manages to freeze Kara, much to the group's concern.
(Zee) - Supergirl! - Even frozen, she could still move her eyes, but Zee's concern was clear, as was that of her friends. Slowly, Atlas finally regained her consciousness, seeing the dilemma. Karen then, decided to shrink again, getting close and using one of her stings on the Ice Ray's body, making him feel a slight pain, but being even more surprised to see that Bumblebee was in front of her, keeping a confident smile.
(Karen) - Looking for me? - The villain tries to hit Karen, who uses her stingers to hit him in the face, which gives Jessica the opportunity to use her ring to conjure a giant fist and grab him, trying to immobilize him. However, he breaks free, causing Diana, Barbara and Zee to set off on him. The Amazon traded several blows, using her shield to defend herself, with Zee attacking from above, while Barbara took care of the opposite side of Diana, practically cornering the villain. Batgirl and Wonder Woman then throw a punch at the same time, hitting the villain in the chest and face, knocking him off his feet and causing him to be hit by Zatanna's blow, knocking him to the ground.
(Icestreak) - I guess this fight is out of my hands. - He looks at Atlas, coming at him, while the hero feels pain in his body, but slowly uses his powers to protect himself, channeling energy into his left fist and throwing a punch that pushes him back, showing the power that was in his body. - You may even be a hero, Atlas, but your powers are a little weak it seems. - Diana's shield hit the back of Ice Lightning's head, making it clear that he was being outmatched by the Super Hero Girls.
(Diana) - Your overconfidence only shows your arrogance. He's a fool to think he can go into a fight with a conviction that he'll win without knowing the risks. - Little by little, Supergirl was able to break through the ice surrounding her, managing to break free, which gave her the opening to take on the villain, with a smile on her face.
(Kara) - Round 2! - She launches her heat vision towards Ice Ray, which is blocked by him, but slightly injuring his left hand. Gradually, Zee appeared behind him, teleporting, and landing a blow on his face, at the same time Karen, Jessica and Barbara took off, coordinating their attacks as a trio, allowing him to become destabilized, giving the gap to Atlas to appear, Concentrating enough energy in his hands to throw several punches with a force that threw him almost to the ground, half dizzy, in which Diana took the opportunity to run, giving the decisive blows, ending with a kick and a blow of the Amazon's shield, that knocked him on the ground, causing some blood to come out of his mouth, ending the fight.
(Diana) - It's over. You won't do any more harm to those innocent people.
(Icestreak) - I must give credit to the teamwork of each of you. You think you won, but it's not over yet. - Concentrating his powers, he creates a cloud around the group, surrounding each of the Super Hero Girls and blinding them, much to the heroes' surprise. - We'll meet again, when you least expect it... - His voice faded, as did his presence, leaving everyone half worried. The applause of the people around could be heard, although it symbolized a victory for the group of protectors of Metropolis, it was a bit worrying.
On the roof of a building, the seven were gathered, still a little nervous, but at the same time, happy that they had saved people. The Super Hero Girls had won another victory in their journey to protect Metropolis from criminals and bad guys.
(Johnny) - I don't know if you can call this a victory.
(Jessica) - It certainly won't be the last time we see him.
(Diana) - A bittersweet, to tell you the truth. You can't just have everything you want. Sometimes, they can get away. But we'll get another chance to capture him at some point. - The Amazon was practically inspiring her team now, showing all the confidence she had with him. - Everyone gave everything on the battlefield and showed full conviction in the fight, without hesitation. - Johnny could feel that he had almost done nothing, considering he was concentrating his powers, but seemingly limiting himself. - What is it, Atlas?
(Johnny) - I don't know if I was helpful. Deep down, my powers felt like they were being limited without me even realizing it.
(Diana) - Remember what we talked about before? About training the use of your powers?
(Johnny) - I will do it. - He maintains his conviction, while showing that he wants to have better control of the gift he possessed. That was enough for Zee to give a half-convinced little smile. - What?
(Zee) - You feel that you need to train, but you may need some extra help to do it. You don't need to do this training alone.
(Johnny) - What are you saying?
(Zee) - Read my lips. - He looked a little confused, but he chuckled lightly. - If you want help, you can count on us.
(Johnny) - Thank you. As to that, I think I need to do one more thing.
The next day...
Rummaging through his locker, Jason kept a half-quiet look on his face as he wondered off to another day of school. Unseen by him, Johnny's presence was revealed on his right side, much to Jason's surprise.
(Jason) - What's up Johnny boy? What do you want from me now?
(Johnny) - Talk. - He seemed a little surprised by what he was hearing. - You know, I know you and I have a kind of weird relationship. You love to pick on me and I hardly ever do anything.
(Jason) - It's usually kind of fun.
(Johnny) - We were both in this little pick-up war yesterday, but I feel that despite all this, we can work something out. - Hold out one of your hands. - How about a truce? I won't be the kind of guy who stoops to a point like yours, but I also don't want to retaliate if I have to. We can co-exist in this school. One ignores the other, if necessary.
(Jason) - I think I can put a little something in that agreement: I'll try to avoid my pranks, but I admit I like you, Johnny boy. Deep down, despite my tricks, I believe that. - Raise your sleeves, to show you were clean. - No shock button, no gum on my hands and sleeves. Well, a fresh start for both of us, then. - Shakes the boy's hand, with a smile on his face. - Truce.
This was something of a surprise to both of them, who couldn't imagine the situation. The two walked away, on opposite sides, in which Johnny returned to the girls, with a half shy smile.
(Johnny) - That was weird. - The girls kept a smile on their faces, a little happy with Johnny's attitude.
(Diana) - Do you know what you have done now? You did the right thing.
(Zee) - In the end he maintained his integrity. He stood firm in his decision.
(Karen) - You did good, buddy.
(Johnny) - He can pick on me straight, but that doesn't mean I have to play his game. I think this arrangement of ours will work out, but for how long, I can't say...
Entering a small room, Jason looked at a girl with a leather jacket, blue hair and a kind of punk look on her face, while typing something on her computer, which left the girl a little surprised.
-What are you doing here?
(Jason) - Are you Leslie Willis?
(Leslie) - Yes. Do you need anything?
(Jason) - Well... - He hides one of his hands behind his back, in which it begins to freeze so lightly, demonstrating a secret in question. - I hear you're starting a blog about the college. Have you thought about accepting some help? - That line was enough to make Leslie give a half-confident smile, getting a little intrigued.
(Leslie) - I'm listening.

Author's Note: To be fair to all of you, i'm introducting some villains from the series here, to show the same dynamic that exists in DC Super Hero Girls. The next episode will be inspired in #ShockItToMe, introducting Livewire into the fray. As the next episodes, they will be introducting some villains, like the Cheetah, Catwoman, etc. But after these episodes, we will be entering into the first big arc of this story, very soon. Do anyone dares to guess how this arc will be?
