Barbara Minerva. A girl dedicated to doing everything she could to demonstrate what she was capable of. In a physical education class, the blonde ran at the highest speed, demonstrating dexterity as she jumped through the bars, rings and everything around her, landing with the purest perfection in front of all the girls on the gymnastics team. Gradually, each looked at Barbara, as well as the team's coach.

-Nice work, Barbi. Maybe your cleanest vault yet. – The coach of the team spoke, complimenting Barbi's abilities.

(Barbi) – Good. Then, if it's settled, and I'm captain again, let's get one thing clear...

-Hang on. I think there's one more girl. Diana Prince. – Diana appeared in the gym, wearing her clothes, while walking to the starting line.

(Barbi) – Ugh. The new girl. – Barbi didn't hide her desdain about Diana, like she was a rival who could be a threat to her perfection and plans.

Diana went into the starting line, being in position, while taking a deep breath, before running. Like the time was stopping for the girl.

(Diana) – Lift me, Boreas. Let your wintery breath keep me aloft.

Diana began to run, vaulting on every obstacle in front of her, jumping in a bar, reaching to the argoles, landing in a perfect position, on what it looked like a challenge to beat, at every cost. All the girls in the gym aplauded Diana, while Barbi looked, a little bit envious with the situation. The coach was still surprised, but happy.

-Maybe we should have co-captains this year. – The coach of the gymnastics team talked, which made Barbi kinda of angry.

(Barbi) – What? Absolutely not!

-Okay. Congratulations, Prince! You're the new team captain. – Barbi now passed from angry to furious right now, to see that what she said cost her the team captain position. Like Ms. Perfection in person was trying to take her place. To Barbara Minerva, perfection was something she was good. But now, it was kinda like a threat to her position. Barbi was scowling. Irritated.

In the classroom, Barbi awaited to see her results from the test of AP Calculus, trying to see what could happen now. The teacher in the room approached the blonde, confident with the results.

-Nice job, Barbi. Not too often you see a hundred percent in AP Calculus... – Receving her test results, Barbara Minerva was confident, however, she went to Diana's desk, to deliver her results. – Is what I'd be saying if it weren't for Diana over here. A hundred and two percent. Incredible! That's a new school record.

It looked like something was going very wrong to Barbi. How someone like Diana was surpassing her in everything? The gynmastics team, AP Calculus, it was enough to her anger grow more and more. Outside the school, Johnny and Diana walked side by side, while looking at the school.

(Diana) – I could use some help to decorate the ballroom for the dance, Johnny.

(Johnny) – I'm gonna try to be here, Diana. Just need to be in a small appointment with Zee in her house. She said she would try to help me to have better control of my powers. – The boy was still reeling from the fight with Livewire. One week ago, he and the team had to help Supergirl with Catwoman, demonstrating how their bond as a team was growing deeper. – I'll be here as soon as i can, okay?

(Diana) – There's no problem if you can't be here. But i could some more help to the decoration.

(Johnny) – If there is someone i know who's far more organized and prepared, it's you. Give your best shot. – Elbows Diana softly, while seeing Barbi's car stopping near the school entrance.

(Barbi) – Hello, everyone! Pool party at my house! – One of the students, Prudence, stopped near her car.

(Prudence) – Sorry, Barbi, we're gonna stay and help Diana decorate for the dance.

(Diana) – Join us. There will be camaraderie and merriment.

(Prudence) – Diana's the best at merriment.

In her mind, Barbi was unwell with all the attention Diana was getting. It was enough to snap in the moment, and drive away with her car, screaming, out of control, far from the girls.

(Johnny) – This was odd.

(Diana) – I'm concerned about Barbi. What is wrong with her?

(Johnny) – I don't know. – Looks at his cellphone, seeing the hours. – I'm going to be late for my appointment.

(Diana) – How are you going to be in Zee's house in time? Don't you think it's too far from where we are now?

(Johnny) – If i want to have a better understanding of what i have to do, I have to be there. Besides, i'm going there the old-fashioned way. – Runs with his backpack, without seeing a smile from Diana. Going into an alley, Johnny changes into his hero suit, becoming Atlas once again, as he jumps from building to building, running to Zee's penthouse as fast as he can. Seeing the people looking at him, he was a little bit nervous, considering what transpired. He was still with fear in his body. But he was trying to do what he could to be the hero Diana believed he could be.

A few minutes later...

Landing on the porch of Zee's house, with a snap of his fingers, he switched to his normal clothes, while watching the magic applaud him, as if waiting for the boy's presence at the time.

(Zee) – I have to admit, that was a great entrance.

(Johnny) – I came running here from school because of our little commitment, so to speak. - Sighs a little, trying to understand the situation. "Tell me, why did you want me to come to your house?" Since we're talking about a training in question.

(Zee) – It's a workout, yes, but a little different. Remember when I said I had trouble controlling my powers when I was little? With a case like this, you need to understand a little how to control these problems.

(Johnny) - I don't understand what you mean by that.

(Zee) - Simple, darling. - Put her hands on the boy's shoulder. - Every good hero who values himself must think of something inside of him. The two then sat down, with both staying in a meditation position. Gradually, each of them looked at each other, leaving Johnny half surprised.

(Johnny) - Why are we sitting like this?

(Zee) - I need you to try to channel your powers. Think of anything that's coming through your mind. - Johnny tried to concentrate his powers, trying to focus his energy on a certain point in his body. Thinking of his hands, he began to feel her flowing, half light.

(Johnny) - Looks like it's working. - Deep down, he was still thinking about his positive thoughts. However, suddenly, his powers began to fail again. - What's happening?

(Zee) - Looks like the deal's a little more serious. - Putting one of her hands on Johnny's forehead, Zee began to try to feel some of his emotions through his magic. However, it seemed that she was still feeling the fear and pain of her body. Gradually, his body began to emanate a certain energy and brightness, almost losing control, but he manages to calm down. - My...

(Johnny) - There's something wrong. That's not me who wanted to do it.

(Zee) - It's getting unstable. Your mind is thinking about difficult things. Like you're just concentrating just what you've been through. Zee seemed to understand what was going on. The last fight they had showed how Johnny almost lost control because of his negative feelings.

(Johnny) - A while back, I came to comment with Diana that my powers might be being concentrated because of my emotions. Actually, I even came to look for it on the Internet. Some who have energy manipulation usually succeed because of emotions, others by concentration. - It seemed that gradually his attempt to try to understand his own powers was something totally unusual. Like he's trying to control something extremely difficult on his part.

(Zee) - Your mind is a little troubled. Looks like we're going to have to get to their roots. - Putting one of her hands on Johnny's head, she looked at the boy. - "Retne ni sih dnim!"

That way, they both got into Johnny's head to get to the root of their own problems. His head seemed to be being guided by what was the former Coast City High School Halls.

(Johnny) - I know this place. It's my old school. I had a good time. And some not so good moments. - Gradually, he saw some memories of Jason taking his toes, with his tricks, while some of Johnny's friends watched, a little worried.

(Zee) - It's a kind of difficult stop. Your mind is trying to find an answer to trying to keep your powers under control. - Suddenly, the two end up leaving the mind, returning to reality.

(Johnny) - I think my head is kind of reluctant.

(Zee) - Let's try something else. Try to keep your thoughts closed. - Gradually, it became clear that they were trying to do everything to be able to contain the negative emotions. - Think about today's dance. You know how happy Diana is to do this.

(Johnny) - I know that everything will work out. She just doesn't give up, no matter what.

(Zee) - She was the first one who put faith in her ability to do the right thing.

Johnny has been thinking about how their bond has tightened over the past few months. Gradually, he remembered his struggles so far, including how he'd fought alongside Diana and how she'd actually put hope in his abilities. He also reminisced about his fights with girls during this period. This opened the way for some of the energy in his right hand to channel, while little by little, Johnny passed the sphere up his arm, bringing it to his left hand, much to his surprise. Zee seemed to be kind of happy to see what had happened.

(Zee) - How are you feeling?

(Johnny) - Honestly, I think I managed to calm down a bit. - Closing one of his hands, he managed to dispel the sphere of his own free will.

(Zee) - It's already a great first step to better understand what you can do. His head was having problems, but when he calmed down his body, it seems he managed to get a better sense of what he should do.

(Johnny) - It seemed like I was thinking at a certain point. Thinking about the friendship I had with each of you. - Give a light laugh. - When I realized that, I managed to release a part of what I wanted to do. I think we are making progress.

(Zee) - Should we continue?

(Johnny) - If you want. - Johnny continued to think, with Zee using his powers to conjure some small objects that Johnny managed to hit with his fingers, showing that he was managing to have a small mastery of what was inside, slowly. Pausing a bit, he began to feel a little tense at what was happening, but he soothed his body again, regaining control of his abilities.

(Zee) - Stay tuned. What are you trying to do?

(Johnny) - Curiosity. I'm trying to get a sense of how I can use them to my advantage. - Channeling his power again, Johnny began to feel the energy emanating from both his hands as he tried to remain calm and in control of the situation. As if your mind was taking a break. With that, the two stop to rest. - I think we need a break.

The two lie down, side by side, while taking the opportunity to recover their energy. Zee looked at the boy, showing that despite the fear he had with himself, he was determined to fight like a true hero and prove that he wouldn't let anything shake him.

(Johnny) - I will not give up.

(Zee) - Your determination moves me. - Acts sarcastically, but showing a little of what he felt. - We'll dance until we can't.

(Johnny) - I can't say how things have changed. If they told me that I would be here, acting like a hero, I would say it would be a lie. - The two laugh lightly. - Will there be this slow dance stop at the party that Diana is preparing?

(Zee) - Why do you say that?

(Johnny) - So, let's say that I don't really master this style of dance, I usually get a little nervous. "He actually seemed to be opening up to Zee at the moment, considering she was helping him with his power issues. - It's like that feeling inside your body that you might end up stepping on someone else's foot.

(Johnny) – The most popular girl in high school asking me for a possible dance? - Gives another laugh, being a little sarcastic. – I must still be dreaming.

(Zee) – Maybe yes, maybe not. – Zee also chuckled as she closed the door, heading towards the school to see the results for the dance preparation.

In high school, Karen, Jessica, Barbara, Kara, Diana, Zee and Johnny approached the front door, with the Amazon smiling on her face, showing her happiness at the moment.

(Diana) – It is with great excitement I anticipate sharing what the decorating committee has done.

(Barbara) – And it is with great excitement I anticipate the dance! – Barbara was with some excitement about the dance, unlike Karen, who was nervous at a point, where her body was almost shaking.

(Karen) – But I don't know how to dance.

(Diana) – Fear not, young Karen, for I possess dance moves that are rich with fleek. You're welcome to study them.

(Johnny) – Sorry I couldn't be here to help, Diana. Got a little carried away in my training.

(Diana) – There's no problem. Any warrior must be ready to show courage and demonstrate how they're willing to go to fulfill his mission.

As each one started walking, entering the school, a shock took over the group, because of something unusual: The decoration that Diana had prepared was simply destroyed, part of it torn.

(Kara) - Looks like someone already tore it up!

(Jessica) - That isn't funny, Kara.

(Kara) - Instead of cutting a rug, they cut the posters.

(Jessica) - No, I mean, it's literally not funny.

(Kara) - Maybe... Maybe the dance shouldn't have booked a band that shreds so hard. - This was enough to Johnny to elbow Kara in her right arm, calling her attention.

(Johnny) - Now you're pushing it too far, Kara.

Diana began to look into the posters, trying to investigate what happened, while the Super Hero Girls watched the Amazon look into every single detail about what could've happened. Suddenly, a thunder fell from the sky, making a noise so frightening that all the girls stayed nervous.

The Super Hero Girls began to wander around the school, following the claw marks to find the culprit about who destroyed the decoration for the dance. Nervous, Johnny began to walk on Karen and Zee's side, trying not to tremble.

(Karen) - How nervous you are, Johnny?

(Johnny) - Enough for my teeth to be shaking. - And he was not lying. Zee looked into the boy's mouth, seeing all the teeths shaking. - This looks like a horror movie in real life.

(Zee) - It's not a horror movie. - Zee wouldn't admit, but she was afraid, and so was Karen ans all the girls. Her legs were shaking, almost as she was about to fall into the ground because of the fear in her body. - But to be fair, i'm not scared as you all are.

(Johnny) - Do you see all the elements here in the school? A mysterious stalker, hiding between the shadows, as if he or she is coming to kill all of us, like a slasher movie. We're going deep down into something we're gonna regret very much. Does anyone have a plan for this? – Emanating energy in his hands, Johnny tried his best to be brave in the mission. – No? That's what I thought.

Fear was making the group being so nervous at a point they couldn't describe. Zee still felt her legs shaking, while Karen tried her best to not show how scared she was. Diana was the only one who wasn't demonstrating fear, putting all of her courage in action, taking the lead for the group. Johnny then, went ahead, staying by Diana's side, while some of the girls waited, as the two young heroes got near by the girls locker room.

(Diana) – How are these horror movies you describe in the World of Man?

(Johnny) – Honestly, they're very much scary as long you keep watching all the movies ever made by the men. To be fair, I have some issues with these movies. – Looks by all the sides, trying to understand what they should do now.

(Diana) – I'm going in. Keep guard to see if you can find anyone around. – Only shaking his head, Johnny agreed to make sure he could fulfill the mission.

The Amazon went into all the lockers, searching for something suspicious. Until the looked at her locker, seeing claw marks in the door. When she opened it, Diana saw that her uniform was still intact. But, after shuting the door, more claw marks appeared, by surprise, which made the girl nervous. Suddenly, something appeared from behind, showing her claws, stalking the Amazon, who was creeped out, until she was hit by behind.

At the same time, Johnny kept guard in the locker room, trying to make sure that no one would enter where Diana was, until the Super Hero Girls appeared, without him seeing it.

(Jessica) – Johnny? – Taken by surprise, he jumped, landing in one of the lockers, looking at Jessica, Zee, Karen, Kara and Barbara, still frightened.

(Johnny) – You're trying to give me an attack?

(Jessica) – Sorry!

(Kara) – What are you doing here?

(Johnny) – Diana asked me to keep guard in the door, to make sure that whatever is here in the school wouldn't enter there. Call me a gentleman for not entering in there. – Landing in the floor, Johnny looked to all the sides, being a little nervous. – Something is odd around here. I don't hear anything or see anyone around. Perhaps the thing went away.

The team was alerted by a scream from Diana, interrupting the conversation, making all the group enter in the girls locker room, seeing the Amazon unconscious, while seeing a claw mark in the back of her dress, with the Super Hero Girls trying to understand what happened.

(Jessica) – Diana? What happened? Who did this to you?

(Diana) – I don't know. Something knocked into me. It came from nowhere. – The fear was instilled in all of the group, while Babs suddenly came into a realization of her own, as if all the pieces were fitting with each other now.

(Barbara) – Don't you see? Clearly, someone is suffering from having their status quo upended by Diana's arrival in Metropolis, and their crippling insecurity most likely caused by absentee parenting, and a lack of proper modeling in childhood, has unleashed a horrible ancient curse that has manifested itself in the form of some weird cat beast that's now stalking the perceived enemy which is Diana! – Panting, it was clear that Barbara was tired because of all the talking she was putting into motion after joining the pieces. The menace was real. And to Barbara, it was more right than everything. – In other words, there's a monster on the loose!

(Jessica) – Then we have to get you somewhere safe.

(Kara) – It ain't Diana that needs protecting.

(Johnny) – Are you sure, Kara? Because it feels like all of us could use some help now to face this monster. – Shaking, he was trying to put a face in the middle of fear and uncertainty.

(Diana) – Whatever it is could be perilous to everyone here. We must find a way to evacuate our fellow students without causing them distress. – The answer to their problem was solved with Kara breaking the alarm, however, in a more brute and probable reckless way. Hearing the students screaming, Johnny made a facepalm in his face.

(Jessica) – What happened to no distress?

(Kara) – Worked, didn't it?

(Johnny) – Oh, yes, Kara. It sure worked. The idea was to get them out of here without causing panic, and not the other way. – He was irritated at a certain point.

(Diana) – Come, siblings. Let the hunt begin.

And with this, the seven heroes began their transformation. With a blink of an eye, Diana put all of her gear and suit, becoming once again Wonder Woman, the leader and biggest heroine of them. Barbara was next, putting into her cowl and suit in great fashion, giving place to Batgirl. Jess was the next, using her ring to transform into Green Lantern. With a stylish pose and movement, Zee began her transformation, showing her curves and beauty while her hero suit, turning into Zatanna. Kara opened her shirt, revealing the House of El symbol, becoming Supergirl. Karen opened her locket, with her tech suit becoming a part of the girl once again. Like an armor, Karen became Bumblebee, while Johnny became the next. Snapping his fingers from the left hand, he began to use his hands, putting them in the shoulders, while forming the pads from his suit. Next, he used his fingers to create his mask, and putting his right hand in the chest, the rest of the suit appeared, giving place to Atlas once again, while everyone stood in their hero positions, just like a promo. Suddenly, the lights went down, shocking all of the Super Hero Girls. The mission was just beginning for them.

(Diana) – We have much territory to cover! Let us split ourselves! – The group stared at Diana, looking very confused to what she said.

(Johnny) – Split up.

(Diana) – Yes, that. – The group then branched off, trying to find the mysterious creature. However, the tension and the horror atmosfere made the mission harden than they could expect.

Atlas went alone in the corridors. Using his hands to create a little bit of energy to iluminate the path, fear had striked in his heart like a thunder falling on top of him. The aspiring hero felt a little tingy in his legs and arms.

(Johnny) – This is too much terrifying for me. – Speaking alone, Johnny was under distress to compreend. – To be honest, this reminds me of movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th. Very much cliché in this. – His knowledge of horror movies and slashers seemed to be coming back to haunt him in all means possible. Looking through the sides and in the front, Atlas seemed a little bit divided about what could happen with him.

The cliché could be something useful to the young hero. To be sure about the dangers around him. Without seeing, claw marks were around the lockers, a signal that the mysterious stalker was near. Seeing one of them with a claw mark, he was surprised.

(Johnny) – Strange. This wasn't here before. – Putting one of his hands in the locker, it was marks unlike any other. Suddenly, the young hero saw a silhouette standing in front of him, laying down. – It's a kitten. How cute! – Atlas was feeling a little happy in his face. – Here, kitty, kitty! – Feeling a little bit nostalgic, he began to get closer, until the kitten began to turn around, leaving him surprised about what he saw. It was more than a kitten. It was a savage feline in his front. – Ok, this was not what I expected. – A cheetah was in front of him. The Cheetah then, jumped to attack Atlas, who channeled the energy in his hands, creating a little barrier in front of him. Beginning a fight with Cheetah, Atlas made the barrier vanish, trying to land a few punches in the creature. The agility and prowess this enemy had was something from another world. – What is this? – Creating another barrier, Atlas looked around, seeing the enemy vanish. – Where did she go? Kitty, kitty, where are you? – He didn't know, but Cheetah was right behind him. Trying to use his bursts in the enemy, the young hero couldn't hit a single hit with the attacks. The claw in her right hand was about to give him a message. Using her nails, she made a mark in the chest of Atlas, making him feel a little pain in his body. – Ow! – A kick from Cheetah sent him behind, while Atlas saw the mark in his suit, damaging it. Then, with both claws in her hands, the mysterious enemy went for the kill. Managing to land a few hits, Atlas was trying to defend himself, until something hit his back, making a few marks in his suit and body, with a little blood coming from it. – No! – Cheetah then, jumped for the final attack, putting one of her hands in his face, jumping and using her force to lift Atlas and making him fall in the ground, making a noise that couldn't be heard by the other Super Hero Girls.

Green Lantern then, began to search for the stalker, while using a candle construction from her ring to shed a light in the halls, trying to find out what could be around the school.

(Jessica) – Come on out, kitty, kitty... – She changed to a flashlight, a warning Jess was getting close. Next, Green Lantern continued to walk, hearing a noise around her. Looking down the aisle, Jess walked it, until she heard a meow, more like a scare, which made Jessica a little nervous, on which Green Lantern used a lantern construct to see who could it be. She didn't know but Cheetah was right behind her. And in a few seconds, the moment Jess looked behind, she was attacked.

Batgirl roamed the school, using her gadgets to be sure about where every member of the Super Hero Girls were, a little bit worried with the events. Technology and gadgets could be in her side, but for how long?

(Barbara) – That's weird. – In a second, Atlas's dot on her gadget vanished, making Batgirl a little nervous about what happened. As she walked, Green Lantern's dot also disappeared from her view. – Two have been taken down! – Looking at the tablet showing the location of the girls, she saw a new red dot going to the next one: Her own dot. Walking, Barbara became a little bit frightened, like her body was shaking from all the events now. Being startled, the heroine took a batarang, until the dot became more and more closer around her. Suddenly, a newspaper fell from her right side, letting the girl being a little bit relieved. However, she didn't notice the creature hanging behind her. In a classic movement of horror movies, like Alien, Barbara turned her head behind, seeing the Cheetah above her, who leaped at the girl, making Barbara drop the tablet on the floor, while a scream was heard.

Zatanna, on the other side, was searching the cafeteria. Looking at all the sides, the magician heard a little noise, knowing that the creature was in the same room as her, to her fear, that was growing at every minute spent.

(Zee) – "Why he had to mention horror movies in a situation like this? I'm as scared as I can admit now!" – Her inner thoughts were taking her mind in all means possible, to describe the fear in her body.

The Cheetah stalked Zatanna, hiding behind a vending machine. Hearing the noise again, the heroine used a magic blast, luring the creature out of her hiding spot, beginning to run around the tables, prompting Zatanna to blast the Cheetah, however missing every shot. But it was enough to make the feline know that she was trapped, forcing her to flee.

(Zee) – "What kind of a movie looks now? That one where people in space are hunted down by a killing alien? I know that movie enough to make me frightened. At least, I managed to make her run away." – She was referencing the classic Alien movie from Ridley Scott, as a signal Zatanna knew about the elements from the motion picture itself.

Supergirl went to the principal's office, trying to find out who could be there. At the same time, she wasn't creeped at all with the horror theme falling around the school, in part, it was because of her abilities and powers. Cheetah began to walk slowly, but Kara could take notice of it in seconds.

(Supergirl) – You think you can scare me? Forget it, whatever you are. I have infrared vision, sucka. – Supergirl sneaked between the creature, trying to deliver a punch, but was very fast to escape. Trying to be ahead of Cheetah, the heroine began a pursuit in the hall, which ended when Zatanna, trying to hit the creature, accidentally hit Supergirl, freezing her in the spot, while trying to see where Cheetah could be. The creature stood right in front of the two, looking to them.

(Zee) – Oh, no...

The last thing heard from Zee was a scream, while Cheetah made the jump to attack the two heroines.

Meanwhile, Johnny was walking with some injuries in his body. His suit, damaged in the chest and some cuts in the mask, with even claw marks in his back, face, arms and body, made it clear that his fight with Cheetah let him with injuries and problems to walk. Seeing a lighter on the ground, he lit the object, with a little fire appearing from it.

(Johnny) – Come on, kitty. I'm here, waiting for you. – He was trying to attract the Cheetah's attention. It was a pure claustrophobic feeling in his body, much more like the Alien movie from Ridley Scott. Trying to lure the creature to a spot. – It's something off of this world i'm seeing. – Walking, Atlas could still feel the pain in the body, while feeling a little bit uncomfortable about what was happening. The atmosphere of Alien was all in the school now. Claustrophobia, the feeling of being trapped by something mysterious. Looking behind him, Johnny began to feel he was being followed. – Why did it have to be a kitty from that size? – Without seeing, a shadow began to lurk around him. The boy began to channel energy in the palm of his right hand, trying to get ready for everything. – Pure driven atmosphere from classic horror movies. And now, look at me. All wounded. Lucky that kitten didn't went for the jugular, otherwise...

Turning around in a hall on the left side, he began to walk with the lighter still on, trying to make sure that everything was all right.

(Johnny) – "This wound. – Feels the blood from a claw mark falling from his chest. – "It's not healing properly." – The incertainty was something that was lurking around. The shadow began to follow him, and as soon he stopped to look a claw mark in his locker room, a hand began to approach him, putting it in his left shoulder, creeping him a little bit. Trying to hit the shadow, his fist was stopped. Looking in front of him, he saw Zee with her hands blocking his, which was enough to make him to stop. – Sorry, sorry, sorry!

(Zee) – What happened to you? – The magician began to examine his wounds, feeling worried with the boy.

(Johnny) – Got caught off-guard by our mysterious stalker. – He looked at Kara, frozen, making him a little bit surprised. – What happened to her?

(Zee) – This was my fault. We escaped barely from the creature.

(Johnny) – Found this lighter around the halls, i'm using it to help iluminate the path around me. Where are the other girls?

(Zee) – I don't know.

(Johnny) – This is something odd. I'm having this feeling of that old movie from space.

(Zee) – Please, don't quote Alien right now, because i'm very worried about happened. – Carrying Kara, Johnny began to walk, trying to understand what could happen.

(Johnny) – How do you know this movie?

(Zee) – Watched it when I was a kid. I've had nightmares with the movie for weeks because of it. That movie was something I couldn't understand. Unexpected in all senses possible.

(Johnny) – It looks like Zee Zatara has a little bit of a weakness, trying not to show fear in situations like this.

(Zee) – This was in the past, now i don't fear anything. – Hearing a growl, the two began to run, trying to elude what could be behind them. Slowly, they entered a room, bumping into Green Lantern and the rest of the Super Hero Girls.

(Johnny) – Is there anything chasing you?

(Babs) – I don't think so.

(Zee) – We've have the feeling the creature is right behind us. – Walking, everyone, except Diana, who was still split from the group, trying to put their best and courageous face they could, however the fear was beginning to lurk around them again.

(Jessica) – Something's weird.

(Johnny) – Now, a classic element from Alien was the feeling that the creature could be anywhere. Expect the unexpected. – Suddenly, a growl was heard behind Atlas, while the other girls looked fearful turning her heads behind. – Everybody run!

The group split up, trying to avoid Cheetah, while making sure they weren't being followed. In a sudden move, the creature appeared right behind Atlas, dodging the enemy. Walking through the gym, Atlas channeled his energy, seeing that the creature disappeared. Seeing Karen on the ground, passed out, it was clear that this enemy attacked Bumblebee. Looking at all the sides, suddenly, he took a scare, while at the same time, Diana was with her sword in hands, also scared.

(Johnny) – Diana?

(Diana) – What are you doing here?

(Johnny) – I've been split from the other girls. The last time I saw the creature, she was right behind me. – Hearing a claw passing in a wall, the two heroes saw Cheetah standing right in front of them. Although he was injured, Johnny started to look at the feline, keeping the energy in his hands, until Diana put a hand in his left shoulder.

(Diana) – You're too injured to use your powers. Let me handle this.

(Johnny) – I won't stop. It's a hero's duty to help, no matter how difficult the fight might be. – Diana smiled a little bit. The two heroes stood united, willing to defeat the creature once and for all before they took down all the Super Hero Girls. The feline began to walk, charging to hit the first strike, which made Wonder Woman and Atlas change into defensive position to block every attack from Cheetah.

Johnny walked, launching a few blasts from his hands, managing to hit some punches from the feline creature. Diana then, began to spin the Lasso, beginning a sequence of strikes who pushed Cheetah behind. The Amazon then, took a leap, managing to hit a kick on the face of the creature, on which the creature began to throw a combo of punches, trying to hit Diana, while Johnny began to create barriers around the two of them. Atlas began to walk, on which his right hand began to glow. Hitting a punch on the enemy, the hero began to throw a few more punches, in high speed, managing to trap the creature. However, it was clear that a feline didn't like to be trapped. Cheetah turned the tables on Atlas, getting her claws ready.

(Diana) - Watch out! - One of her claws hit Johnny's on the left side of his belly. Then, with two more strikes, she hit his chest and leg, putting him on her knees. Using one of his hands, Atlas creates a barrier arouns him, however, the enemy swiftly used her right claw to hit his face again, leaving a mark on it. Suddenly, one of her claws hit his chest, on which Johnny could feel her nails getting a little deeper. - No! - However, in a swift move, Atlas used one of his hands to launch a blast who pushed her behind, giving him a chance to escape.

(Johnny) - I'm fine. - Getting closer to a wall, Johnny looked, believing he defeated the creature. However, Cheetah rose up again. A little nervous, Atlas started to walk, firing a few more blasts around her, however, she began to dodge every attack. Before she could hit the boy, Diana stopped the attack, using her Lasso to do it.

(Diana) - My turn.

The enemy attacked the Amazon, on which Diana began to use her gauntlets to defend herself of every strike she could suffer now. The heroine began to counter-attack, on which the fight showed that the two fighters were equal in strikes. Diana hit a kick on Cheetah, who tried to scratch her in the back, however, on instinct, she used her shield to block the strikes. Johnny began to fire more blasts, channeling every part of hia power to help Diana land a few more punches on it. In part, it was helping. Every strike Diana and Cheetah hit a punch, it was a demonstration of how the two were powerful in a few aspects of their abilities. One of the strikes throwed both of them behind, on which Diana looked to the enemy, believing that the next strike, could be the last of their fight, on which Johnny began to look what could happen now.

A silence. The tension was so high that no one could describe their feelings about what was happening. Diana made the first move, while Cheetah began to run, at this moment, both fighters were pushing everything they had in their bodies to adquire victory al all costs. Diana could feel a fear in her body, however, the Amazon warrior weren't willing to give up. Remembering the moments she fought as a hero, Diana concentrated the grace, agility and prowess in her body, while Cheetah did the same, running as fast as she could. The two of them, jumped, about to hit the last hit. Diana then, landed an attack, while jumping, managing to get the creature off-guard, and landing in pure perfection at her feet, while Atlas watched the whole thing, with a smile in his face.

(Johnny) – This was wonderful in all means possible...

(Diana) – See, Cheetah? I guess cats doesn't always land on feet... – Turning behind, Diana saw that Cheetah was no longer behind her, leaving Johnny surprised to see what happened.

(Johnny) – I didn't turn my head for even a second! – Putting a hand in his left arm, who was with a few scratches and claw marks, feeling the pain in his body. His suit was damaged in a few parts, trying to be in his feet. Walking, he turned around, waiting for an attack, but the boy saw relief now. Looking at Karen, Johnny began to hold her, walking towards the door.

(Diana) - I'm gonna see what happened.

The two of them walked in different sides. Johnny saw Karen waking up, which made the boy put a little smile on his face.

(Karen) - What happened? - Karen still felt the pain from the attacks of Cheetah, but Johnny made a point to help.

(Johnny) - You're going to be fine, Karen. The problem in question has been solved.

(Karen) - So I'm guessing you can put me on the floor now? - He did that, on which Karen stood on her feet, able to walk. Then, the two of them found Zee, Kara, who was still frozen, Jess and Barbara.

(Jessica) - What happened?

(Johnny) - Our little problem has already been taken care of.

A few minutea later, Diana stormed through the gym door, seeing the group trying to lift Kara, still frozen, which made the Amazon preoccupied about what happened to the girl.

(Zee) - No, it's okay. She'll be fine… in about seven hours. What about the monster? - Zee was still a little bit concerned about the events, until Diana looked to them, confident.

(Diana) - She's escaped, but surely we will face her another day…

The drama growed at a point where the Super Hero Girls knew they were going to face Cheetah again, but the group was willing to be ready and face the danger head on if possible.

In the girls's locker room, Barbi found herself rising up, with some injuries in her body. Suddenly, she looked at a mirror, with a devious smile on her face.

(Barbi) - Let go of the "green-eyed monster", Diana? - Barbi's eyes began to turn green, as a signal she was hiding something more. A signal that this was not the end in fact. - Why would I ever do that?

Epilogue…

In the junkyard, Diana began to use some medical equipments with her to help Johnny with the claw marks and scratches in his body. He could still feel the pain in him.

(Diana) - The Amazons used some tools when they got wounded in combat. Medical supplies were dispatched to those far away from Themiscira, while the warriors who returned were healed properly with the magic of the island. - Passing alcohol in his body, he could feel some parts burning, while trying to contain the pain. - I know you're feeling a little hurt, but trust me, this will help you. I don't have the proper instruments to accelerate the healing process, so it's gonna take a few days until you're feeling normal again.

(Johnny) - We were all taken by surprise. I couldn't see the strikes until they hit my body with all she had.

(Diana) - Sometimes, our enemies may use the element of surprise ans try to defeat us. Part of being a hero is to know what to do in dire moments. Even knowing if you weren't in conditions to defeat Cheetah, you tried as much as possible to help. - The bandages in his wounds were already put, while Johnny could feel them all over his body. Being who he was, he could feel that in fact was going to take some time for him to heal.

(Johnny) – I sensed something in the fight. Even though I was with fear in my body, I noticed that I had control of my powers. Paralyzed, and yet, was channeling enough energy in my body to strike back. I couldn't believe that, but now, I can see. – In fact, he had control of his powers, although the fear was in his body.

(Diana) – Fear can manifest in any form possible. The shadows of darkness cloud the heart of those who are afraid to use everything they can have in their bodies. But you, used your powers, trying to give your best. – The injuries stinged a little bit for Johnny, however, the boy that he still was in a little progress to become a hero in fact. More like the control he had of the power he possessed in the fight against Cheetah was something he didn't expected. – Even the most brave of heroes are afraid of something. And we don't have to be embarassed to admit it.

(Johnny) – I guess this is it then. We don't know what happened to our mysterious enemy. And now, it's only a matter of time before things return to normal. – Giggles a little bit. – Well, our normal.

(Diana) – Our duty never ends. No matter what happens to us. – Suddenly, Diana gets down, kissing the boy's forehead, to his surprise. – You did great there.

(Johnny) – Well, i'm gonna say that until these wounds get healed, i'll miss our training sessions for a while.

(Diana) – Me too. I'm going to Sweet Justice. You're coming? – Johnny smiled to the Amazon.

(Johnny) – Yeah. Just gonna take care of some things first. I'll be there. And this time, I mean it. – Now Diana giggled for a while. Walking, she left Johnny alone.

When Diana left, Zee appeared behind him, leaving him a little bit surprised. The boy was in fact, nervous.

(Zee) – Gotta say this was surprising to me.

(Johnny) – What are you doing here? I thought you didn't like the junkyard?

(Zee) – I don't. But i'm gonna admit that the control you demonstrated was something else.

(Johnny) – You didn't see what happened, Zee. – The magician then, smiled, while walking on his left side.

(Zee) – Diana told me. So this means we're making progress with our little training. Gotta say you have some thoughts on your head that are a little hard to face.

(Johnny) – These are my deepest fears. And my reminders of how things changed from that time to now. The first time i've watched a horror movie, gotta say i didn't sleep for weeks, just like you. My dad was a great fan from these classic movies, even the ones with cliches. Halloween was one of them. And Alien to me, was the one that got me scared the most. When i had 10 years, i've watched the movie without my parents knowing about it. Felt a little bit claustrophobic in all means possible and scared. Because it was too beautiful the scenes, but it gave me the feeling of how things can go wrong in minutes. I'm gonna say that control of my powers, even went i was with fear in the school, got me off guard. Because it means that i'm learning to deal with them. – The optimism in Johnny was high in that point. To deal with an enemy very hard to beat, it was something filled with emocion to him. An aspiring hero, trying to do his best to overcome his insecurities and have a better understanding of the mission he had in his hands to help protect Metropolis with his friends.

(Zee) – Everyone has problems sometimes. But it's learning from the things we do, that we find out how we can help in difficult times. I don't have fear. Not now. To be fair, i'm thinking we need to...

(Johnny) – I still need some help with my powers. And i still think you can make me understand how to have more control about them.

(Zee) – We need a break, to be honest. – Giggles to the boy. – And since you're been injured in action, you kinda need it. How about a movie night? Just two friends, having a good old fashioned evening.

(Johnny) – Do you like horror movies? – Repeats the catchprase from the Scream movie. – I haven't saw the Alien movie for a while. But i think you couldn't be afraid with anything.

(Zee) – Tell you what: The first Halloween movie, tonight. Let's see if one of us will be scared with this classic.

(Johnny) – Game on. – The two looked at each other, while laughing a bit because of their talk. – Gotta do a few things. I'm gonna meet Diana in Sweet Justice later. But i'll be there.

Johnny began to walk out of the junkyard. He could sense his heart beating more faster than imagined. It was like a signal. A thought came in his mind, but left him with doubts because of what he was thinking. He didn't think straight, but the boy knew exactly the answer inside of him.

He had fallen in love for two beautiful girls. But the answer: Which one of them were the right girl for Johnny?

Far away...

In a island, a mysterious woman, using a black suit and cape, with long and black hair, began to walk some stairs, while a holografic image of a man enclouded in darkness appeared to her, who knelt before the figure.

-Father.

-Deva. My daughter.

(Deva) – The time has come?

-A Titan never lies to family. All the training you had, was leading to this moment. As a true warrior, you will be sent to fulfill the mission we've been waiting for so long to put in motion.

(Deva) – Almost a lifetime i've been waiting for this. The moment we would strike fear and death in the hearts of the Amazons.

-The Great War took a cost in both sides. But I heard rumors of an Amazon warrior in the so called World of Men, defending the virtue and courage that their people have. The Gods imprisoned all of us. Even the women who live in Themyscira won't escape. Deva, you are going to this world. To strike a deep blow in the Amazons, you're gonna kill Diana of Themyscira. And with this, you're gonna use her death to destroy Queen Hippolyta and the people who are sworn to her, and free us from this torment we've been suffering for centuries.

(Deva) – I have an idea for this. How do you destroy someone who doesn't even know your existence? – The figure so, disappeared, while Deva began to walk, with a devious smile on her face. – I'm gonna love this...

Author's Note: Surprised? This is a glimpse of the very first major arc of this story. It's fair, in my opinion, that this arc involves a little of the mythology of Wonder Woman, as a homage to the 80 years of this amazing heroine. Some more glimpses will be revealed in the next few chapters, on which very soon, you're all going to see my version of Frenemies. And the issues between some of our heroes who will be very much amazing.

Also, since we're near Halloween, and I was absent for a few weeks, i've decided to dedicate this chapter to this holiday, using some references from classic movies, more precisely, the Halloween movies with Michael Myers and Alien from Ridley Scott, to give a very tense, claustrophobic and dense atmopshere at all. If you liked this type of chapter, I can bring more like this, if all of you, dear readers, want to.
