Who's your favorite Dragon Ball character of the original series?
Mines Tien, love his character growth.
I do not own 'Dragon Ball' or 'The Gamer
"Go faster, you stupid jeep!" Bulma yelled in panic while glancing through the rear-view mirror. "Is that thing still following us?!"
"Yup, it's still there," I answered, staring up into the sky, undisturbed by the screeches.
"Maybe it will leave if we ask nicely?" Goku suggested genuinely, peeking his head out from the opposite window.
I snorted at my brother's callowness.
We've been traveling for a few hours now, leaving Mount Paozu long behind us. I'm still finding it surreal that the plot is happening before me. There's one thing to prepare for something vigorously and another to undoubtedly be in it. It's somewhat nerve-racking, but I kept my calm composure, knowing that this wasn't even the appetizer in the Dragon Ball adventure.
Being a talkative person wasn't my forte, even so, I had a few questions for the heiress of Capsule Corps.
I first asked Bulma about her family, and she aptly replied that she had two parents, as well as an older sister.
So I'm in the Dragon Ball Super universe?
Instead of Jaco looking for merely Goku, he'd additionally be searching for me...right?
Her older siblings' existence verified it, but I wasn't sure if this was the manga or anime.
I can manage with that though. However, I would've preferred GT as there isn't a violent quantity of individuals with universal levels of destruction at their fingertips. Then again, this could be a merging of the pair, which would be horrifying.
A terrifying reality indeed.
My following question was whether she knew how to manipulate gravity 'like a scientist'. I didn't know whether or not it's possible currently, but if Bulma could arrange that now, it'd be a game-changer.
Bulma had frowned at my inquiry, informing me that while she was intelligent, it'd take her a long while until she'd be able to do something like that. I simply nodded, understanding where she's coming from.
It made sense within the context of the story.
She was aware of the uses regarding weighted clothing in the original show, with Tien holding Goku's in their rematch just before the Saiyan fought against Piccolo in the finals. She likely acknowledged its applications before even then with Master Roshi's training, I'm sure someone informed her of it. I wouldn't have put it beyond Bulma to try and replicate something along those lines with gravity, but she didn't.
Raditz's arrival changed everything.
The alien technology she got her hands on from his ship undoubtedly must've greatly assisted with the gravity chamber. Goku's ship as he embarked to Namek had a similar design to Saiyan pods.
It'd be a long while until I get my hands on a gravity chamber. I could wish for it, but if this world was a merging, then using the Dragon Balls in such a way could lead to the Shadow Dragons emerging prematurely, and that's obviously a very bad thing. I have to make every wish count.
It's possible that Dr. Briefs could do it, I'll ask him sometime later.
Lastly, I asked her if she had any idea when Shenron was last summoned. Bulma said there wasn't much information concerning it, only knowing that they were previously used to revive the dead following King Piccolo's rampage. Nobody knew who though.
A shriek from above triggered the blue-haired girl to press her foot harder on the gas pedal.
"Do something about that thing!" She screams, trying to keep her eyes on the road.
A sigh escaped my lips as I turned to my brother, "I'll handle it, stay here Goku."
"Do you need the Power Pole, Saru?" He asks, but I shook my head.
"It's alright, that's never been my thing anyway." Honestly, it wasn't. I've always preferred fighting with my fists after all.
I rolled the window down, providing myself some additional space to climb onto the roof of the vehicle. Focusing some attention on retaining my stability, I turned my head skywards and utilized the [Observe] skill.

I felt something shift in my Status Screen, but decided against looking at it as of now.
It's the first dinosaur I've witnessed outside of a book, and quite frankly, they're goofy looking.
The prehistoric creature squawked as it spread its wings, decreasing the distance between the both of us.
"Do something dammit!" Bulma shouted, trying to maintain control of the vehicle.
Whilst the heiress of Capsule Corps was screaming for her life, I contemplated using the [Kamehameha] to take the beast out, but elected not to.
I bent my knees and waited for the flying creature to come closer. The dinosaur squawked again and with a mighty leap, I shot off into the sky.
The Pterodactyl wasn't granted any time to react as I kicked its neck with my right leg, snapping it with ease, and used the momentum to launch myself back to the car. I made sure to apply a bit of [Ki Flight] just before I landed as crashing wouldn't be ideal.
+39 XP!
What?
"Aww...that thing was really weak..." Goku noted in disappointment, letting me in through the window.
"Thank god!" The blue-haired girl finally loosened up on the gas pedal, "I thought we were going to die!"
Against a Battle Power of 39?
Not a chance.
However, I understood that strength wasn't everything when it came to a fight. Tricky and clever opponents have been intelligent enough to outmaneuver individuals many times more powerful than them.
Underestimating or lowering your guard against anyone would be detrimental. Dragon Ball's history can attest to that.
With Bulma now driving at a comfortable pace, I took a glance at the notification I'd received after ending the flying creature.
Experience points...but why now of all times?
Is it because I killed something?
I've done that plenty of times with the animals encompassing Mount Paozu. Hunting trips were a regular given my Saiyan biology.
Perhaps it had to do with how strong the dinosaur was.
The edges of my mouth creased downwards. Speculating on it too much won't provide a reasonable solution, at least the accursed thing is working now.
"Hey, Saru?" I glanced to my right as Goku stared at me. "Can I fight next?"
He was excited, but not overly so. I'm sure the one-shot I delivered to the beast had unsatisfied his Saiyan nature.
"Sure, I don't see why not." Early Dragon Ball villains wouldn't be too much of a problem. At least, from what I remember...right?
With the Pterodactyl out of the way, we proceeded to travel towards the next Dragon Ball location.
Now that Bulma stopped driving akin to a madman, we continued down the road until nightfall was upon us.
The blue-haired teen had halted the vehicle and reached into her pocket, which held the capsules.
"Is she doing the magic thing again?" My sibling tilted his head to the side. "I wonder what spell she will do this time."
"Looks like we won't have to wait for long," I replied.
As if on signal, Bulma flung the capsule into the field not too distant from where we were standing, inciting a burst of smoke to be released. Taking over the site of the haze was a modest home, it looked approximately the size of our own.
Goku's jaw dropped, though it was still surprising, even if I had foreseen this.
It's one thing to read/watch about something, and another when you see it in action.
"Saru, are you sure it's n-"
"No Goku, I don't think it's demon magic." I immediately interrupted, already acknowledging what he nearly asked.
He looked somewhat unconvinced, but trusted my judgment nonetheless.
"What are you two doing?" She frowned standing at the front door. "Hurry up and get inside!"
Hastily following her order, we were quickly met with the living room.
Being in the Son family house had dulled my ability to recognize what was deemed as average in society. Whilst I don't regret living with them, not for a moment, but perhaps he's influenced me more than I believe.
"Wow! It's afternoon in here!" Goku remarked in astonishment as he gazed up at the lights.
Bulma quirked an eyebrow then looked at me, which I simply shrugged.
"We've lived in the wilderness for most of our lives, I know of these things through books." Not true, but it's whatever.
She didn't mind or care, opting to work on dinner while I took a bath with my sibling. We've been doing this kind of stuff for some time, and I wasn't weirded out by it anymore.
Soon enough, it was time for us to sleep.
Bulma had gone to her room for the night, however, I took the opportunity to use the [Observe] skill now that it was 'maxed' apparently.
While I was fairly certain of what her goals were, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Born and raised in West City, Bulma had always dreamed of going on an adventure in hopes of wishing for a boyfriend or infinite strawberries. Secretly, she wanted an excuse to travel the world like her sister.
She currently is trying to decide which of the two wishes she desires more.
As I suspected, the description was what I imagined.
However, the 'The Genius Prodigy' and 'Threat Level: Minimal' are new.
I suppose that's my reward for maxing out [Observe].
I mentally tapped the 'Threat Level', curious as to how the scaling works.
Minimal - Low - Medium - High - Extreme
Huh?
I wonder what's deemed a threat, because if Bulma wanted to, she'd be able to make a machine that could destroy me in an instant, if she had a sufficient amount of prep-time that is.
I assume it only judges people based on their physical strength, which means their Battle Power, and not pure intelligence.
With Goku snoring comparable to a bear in hibernation, I took the opportunity and called upon my personal stats to examine what the differences were.

What undoubtedly caught my eye was the MP, hovering just under my KP.
I have magic?
Why wasn't this shown before?
Unless when I called upon my status, I was essentially using [Observe] on myself?
Pondering too excessively about it just gives me a headache. Things are working now, and that's all that matters.
I adjusted the blanket, keen on getting some shut-eye for tomorrow.
A tree toppled when I sent Goku careening into it with a kick, but that hardly stopped him, as he launched forward with a kick of his own.
-46
My forearm blocked the attack whilst I thrust a fist forward, driving him to leap away and out of its trajectory.
I trailed closely behind as my toes started to dance in rhythm to our battle.
We knew each other's movements reasonably well, considering we'd practiced together, and learned from the same person. Yet, with my slight strength and speed advantage, it was still a relatively close fight.
It was fairly early in the morning, however, Gohan was always strict when it came to our sleeping schedule. Even after his ill-fated end, we've never deviated from what he's taught us.
Bulma was still inside the house and I took the opportunity to have a sparring match with Goku, like we always have.
My thoughts came to a sudden halt as I was compelled to swerve around a punch. He viciously threw an elbow which I slapped aside and used the opening to land a strike to his stomach.
Rather than falling, he slid across the earth and cupped both hands to his side.
"Kamehame...HA!"
The beam of light darted ahead at impressive speed. I felt a bubbly sensation in my chest, urging me to take it head-on.
Focusing my [Ki Enhancement] to each arm, I braced for impact.

So sparing gives experience too?
Interesting.
"H-Hey! Watch it!" Someone shouted, but it was more like a whisper.
"Huh? A talking rock?" Goku appeared to be in shock as turned around to confront the voice.
It was a turtle with a copper-colored shell and fins, which possessed several black spots just like its head.
"Thank goodness...I thought I'd be dust for sure…" He sighed, visibly relieved that we noticed his presence.
Wait.
Isn't he supposed to be with Master Roshi?
What was he doing here?
"A talking turtle?" My brother confusingly stared at the animal. "The books never said anything about that…"
I snorted at his comment, noticing that Bulma had come outside.
"Sorry to ask, but do any of you have some saltwater I could drink?" The reptile requested, well, it was more like begging.
Like the pure-hearted soul he was, Goku took the initiative to run inside and grab a bucket of water which the turtle quickly consumed.
"Th...thank you very much!"
"So what's a sea turtle doing out here?" The blue-haired girl questioned curiously.
"Well...you see...ever since I left the ocean last year, I've been trying to find my way back all this time." He replied, saddened at his situation.
"The ocean? You're traveling in the opposite direction." Bulma explained to him and pulled out a map, "I'd say it's about 120 km to the south."
"Hey turtle! Want us to show you the way?" The monkey-tailed boy gleefully offered, "Me and Saru are super fast!"
"R-Really?"
I nodded, keen on assisting my brother in this endeavor, plot character or not.
'There's a certain joy in helping others, remember that you two.'
Why would I forget, grandpa?
"No way! We don't have time for this stuff!" The heiress of Capsule Corps stated, reminding us of our task.
"Speaking about that, do you know where the next ball is?" I questioned, urging her to get the Dragon Radar.
She squatted somewhat so I could get a peek at it as well, and what do ya know, there's a Dragon Ball specifically in that vicinity. It's isolated from the others too, and we ought to go for it either way.
Did Master Roshi have one?
I honestly don't remember.
"Well dang," Bulma muttered, still eyeing her device. "There's one in that area."
"Does that mean we can help him?" My brother urged, clearly ecstatic at the turn of events.
"I mean...I don't see why not, we're going to head that way sooner or later." I affirmed.
Increased reputation with Turtle.
"Oh thank you so much!" He spoke appreciatively, "I'll make sure to repay you!"
With those last words, and after gathering our things to be deposited into capsules, we embarked towards the next objective.
I opted to be the one who carried him, using his weight as a form of training. I'll ask Bulma if she'd make some weighted clothing after we deal with Pilaf.
The road was tedious to navigate. Granted, this was the middle of nowhere and I doubt many people traveled this route, if at all. The only things that could be seen wandering about were the local wildlife, and an occasional dinosaur.
Whilst I could go around killing them later on, butchering an ecosystem for experience didn't sit well with me.
"Hey! Hold on!" Someone shouted, blocking our path.
A giant brown-furred bear that wore mercenary-like attire and wielded an overly large broadsword stood before us.
"Kid, if you value your life, I suggest handing over that turtle." The thief licked his lips and tried to look threatening to me, "I'm getting kind of hungry, so make it snappy!"
Bulma had quickly locked the car after my brother had jumped out the window to confront our assailant.
"Goku."
"Uh-huh?" He glanced over.
"Remember, it's your turn." I reminded him, still carrying the terrified turtle on my back. "Make it quick, we don't want to wait all day."
"Oh okay!" He replied, getting into his signature stance.
"In that case...I'll just-" Before he could even conclude his sentence, my brother was now inches from his face.
"Rock! Paper! Rock!"
With an ease that could only be replicated by dedicated time to training, Goku had knocked the man out in a single stroke. His body crashed down to the dirt in an instant.
"Aw man…not again." He groaned in discontent, "I guess people aren't very strong."
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get a good fight at some point," I reassured him, which seemed to lighten his mood somewhat.
"You two are really scary…" The turtle had mumbled as I balanced him on my back.
We continued to move down the path, avoiding any kind of dangerous creature as Bulma had instructed us to.
Soon enough, we'd arrived at the beach and witnessed the expansive ocean that seemingly possessed no end.
Increased reputation with Turtle.

"I appreciate your help in bringing me back home!" He said as I placed him in the water. "Stay right here, I'll be back with a gift!"
And just like that, he was out of sight.
Bulma preferred to stay in the car, listening to the radio whilst we waited. Goku and I utilized the opportunity to resume our spar from earlier.
This was probably going to take a while.
Time appeared to trickle down as I trained the [Meditation] skill on the beachside, my brother doing the same alongside me.
It's been some time since the reptile had left and we didn't know how much longer we'd have to wait.
"Huh? What's that?" We gazed up from our lotus posture after hearing Bulma's shout, heeding a figure moving rapidly in the distance, and closing in on our location.
Once the figure got close enough, my gamer abilities kicked in.

Muten Roshi, The Turtle Hermit

Muten Roshi, better known as Master Roshi, was trained by Master Mutaito alongside his former friend, Shen. After his mentor's passing, he dedicated a majority of his life to training, and is now the Master of the Turtle School of Martial Arts.
He currently wants to reward the people who helped his friend home.
I remembered Master Roshi being a beast in the original even taking into account my hazy recollection, but I wasn't expecting the Threat Level to be extreme. He doesn't look like much of a threat either, just goes to prove appearances aren't everything.
His passives are off too, I assume his bulked-up form are the question marks.
The elderly man landed on the beach floor, eyeing each of us.
"So...which one of them helped you?"
"The boys." The turtle pointed at both Goku and me.
Increased reputation with Muten Roshi.
Then, I felt something link to me briefly, which immediately faded.
"I see, in that case..." Master Roshi lifted his cane into the air and shouted, "Come to me Immortal Phoenix!"
"Uhh, the phoenix died of food poisoning a while ago." His animal friend clarified.
An immortal being died?
That's...odd.
"Well...in that case, I'll give you this." He raised the cane once more, "Come to me, Flying Nimbus!"
Suddenly, a fluffy yellow cloud appeared into view from the sky, racing toward us at high speeds.
"Huh? What is this?" Goku said while poking the cloud.
"If you're capable of riding it, you can go anywhere your heart desires." The Turtle Hermit stated, stroking his beard as we listened closely. "However, you must be pure of heart to ride it. It's picky that way."
Roshi stretched his muscles, turning towards the magical cloud.
"Allow me to demonstrate." He leaped onto the Nimbus...only to crash right through, prompting Bulma to chuckle.
"Let me try!" My brother sprang above it next, and even if you took away my foreknowledge, I knew he'd be able to get on the thing.
Without any uncertainty, he casually stood on it, unmistakably thrilled at doing so.
"Well I'll be, he did it." The turtle hermit muttered.
In an instant, the cloud zoomed around the area like a miniature fighter jet, before coming back to us.
"Hey Saru!" Goku shouted excitedly, "Jump on!"
That had caused me to pause.
The Flying Nimbus somehow knew who was 'pure-hearted', though that's honestly very confusing.
What does it mean to be pure?
Nevertheless, I moved forward and jumped…
Only to find me on top of it without falling through. I stared down in bewilderment, having touched the spirit of the cloud once I'd touched it.
"You did it!" My sibling cheered, clutching both of my arms, and started dancing. "I knew you could!"
Still baffled at the situation unfolding, I decided to cast [Observe] on the Nimbus.
Flying Nimbus [Mystical]
A piece of the enormous Nimbus Cloud in ownership of Master Korin. It exclusively allows those who are pure of heart to ride.
It's thrilled about finally having someone so innocent to be with, as one of its riders. However, it also feels anxious, as its other passenger is void of emotion.
As Goku continued to bounce around with me in tow, evidently oblivious of my current thoughts.
I couldn't help but wonder at the Nimbus' description...
How was I void of emotion?
A heavily canon-compliant chapter, mostly because Saru's influence hasn't truly changed anything so far.
Things will definitely deviate from canon slowly though.
I'm a very big fan of 'The Z Gamer' (Highly recommend it), including his application of [Gamer's Mind] into the story, and I want to do something similar with this story.
Anyway, remember to follow and review!
Until Next Time!
