Hey, guys! Welcome for me and my co-writer PHL360/JokerGames1999's very first MCU/Alita crossover 'Tale Of Alitta-Book 1 (Birth of the Avenging Battle Angel!)'. We hope that you will enjoy the story...anyway, we don't own anything, except for our OC's.

NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!

{Chapter 1: The Birth of Alita Stark: The Future Battle Angel Avenger!}

[1979- July 29th]

It was a quiet, calm night on Camp Lehigh, a large United States Army/S.H.I.E.L.D's facility placed in New Jersey as we zoom into one of the buildings placed on the base and see an elderly man working in what seems to be an old fashioned lab as there was a bunch of large servers placed near him, small old computers, and a large white table that held what seems to be a half-constructed, humanoid, robot as it resembled a young human fifteen-year-old girl with white plastic-like skin, its lower half was missing, had no arms/legs, half of its head and its chest were cut open to reveal the complicated bolts and circuitry inside. The man stared at her solemnly and rubbed his head tiredly as he bends to pick up a large thick black cord and plugs into the robot's chest as the elderly man walked over to one of his computers and pressed a few buttons as his computer lights up and information of the android teenager began appearing on the screen as a bunch of schematics of the android's body popped up, and the man stared at it worriedly/tensely as he began pressing more buttons.

The elderly man is a 5'7-feet-tall, 61-year-old male with short white hair, light brown eyes, a small nose, wrinkled Caucasian skin, and his outfit consists of a long white lab coat with a black T-shirt underneath, small round-shaped black-trimmed glasses, long blue jeans, and brown shoes. His name is Dyson Ido, a S.H.I.E.L.D. cybernetic/genetics expert and scientist.

Humming thoughtfully, Ido presses a few more buttons as a screen popped out and showed that seems to be the 'heart' or, more specifically, the core of the robot as Ido narrowed his eyes at what he sees and noticed that there seems to be something from with the core as Ido frowns subtly and turns around as he walks over to the robot and carefully removes the cord as Ido grabbed a few tools from a nearby toolbox and a flashlight as he places it in his mouth and peered inside the chest of the robot as Ido sees what might have gone wrong with the core and shakes his head of the small mistake he did as Ido sighs heavily before shaking his head as he sticks his hands onto the robot's chest and started doing his magic as Ido began trying to fix up the problem. Sticking out his tongue in concentration, Ido began carefully taking out a few wires from the robot's core that resembled a lot like a human's heart as blue liquid squirts out from the wires, and Ido's face scrunched up in slight disgust, but nonetheless continued working as he took out the rest of the wires before plugging them back onto the core in different ports as her core light up a bit and Ido smiles a bit as he removes his hands from the robot's chest and walked over to the computer to check the progress on the robot's core to see if he had fixed the problem.

"Come, come on, please work." Ido pleaded while pressing a couple of buttons rapidly as the schematics of the robot's core appeared, and Ido gritted his teeth in annoyance as he saw the screen flashing red. "DAMN IT!" Ido screamed in anger as he grabs onto his toolbox and tossed it over at the wall in sheer frustration as it broke apart and fell onto the floor just as the doors opened as an older white-haired man walked into the lab and raised an eyebrow unamusedly at the sight of the destroyed toolbox as he shakes his head and looked over at the panting Ido stoically as the man crosses his arm.

The man is a tall, 5'10-feet-tall, 62-year-old male with short slicked-back brown hair, light blue eyes, a small brown pencil-styled mustache, Caucasian skin, a small nose, and his outfit consists of a long-sleeved blue suit with a white-collard shirt underneath, a black tie, a S.H.I.E.L.D. symbol placed on his right shoulder, long blue jeans, and black shoes. His name is Howard Anthony Walter Stark, inventor/scientist/engineer/businessman/movie director and founder of Stark Industries.

"You know, Dyson, you should keep better care of your tools," Howard says while walking over to Ido as the S.H.I.E.L.D. employee smirks at him smugly. "That's the fifth toolbox that you have destroyed in the past week, and if this keeps up, they might not trust you to be around all of this fancy new equipment."

"I'm not in the mood, Stark," Ido says while grabbing his flashlight as he walks over to the robot, and Howard follows after him as he eyed the half-built robot curiously/boredly.

"Oh, let me guess? Another failed prototype, huh?" Howard asked knowingly as Ido blatantly ignored him and peered inside of the robot's chest with his flashlight as Ido's eyes widen a bit in realization, figuring out what went wrong as he quickly went to work on his precious prototype. "What's that? The 521 failed prototype that you have built or is it the 522-"

"Shut it, Stark!" Ido yelled, irritated as he paused what he was doing to momentarily glare at Howard, who was surprised by his yell as Ido's tired, yet determined eyes peered into his soul. "I have invested too much of my life into this project for you to come in and insult me!" Ido says before going back to his work as Howard blinks slowly at his outburst before composing himself as he gave Ido a subtle stern look.

"And there's the problem, Dyson," Howard says while straightened up his suit as he walks over to Ido and looked over his frail, wear form concernedly as he frowns. "Ever since...the accident, you have been wasting the next fifteen years into making this little project of yours work the way you wanted it to, but so far, you haven't made much progress on it lately. And, in that timeframe, you haven't got out of the lab to interact with anyone at all, other than me, Hank, and Janet, and when you DO get out of the lab is to usually eat or bathe...and even then, THAT has been dying down lately." Howard says with his face scrunching up in disgust at the foul odor emitting from his fellow scientist, and Howard frowned, even more, when he noticed how skinny and ill-looking Ido looks right now as Howard sighs heavily and placed his hand on his shoulder as he gave Ido a sincere, concerned look.

"Look, Ido, as your co-worker, partner, and more importantly as a friend, I highly recommend that you abandon this project altogether and start reconnecting with society more again. You have no idea how worried sick Janet has been feeling over you whenever we have our little meetings, and I know Hank is trying to hide it, but he feels worried for his mentor as well. So please, if it's not for me or for you, then at least consider abandoning this little project of yours for their sake." Howard says softly as Ido paused a bit, and his eyes dropped a bit in sadness before igniting with the same burning passion that he had felt when he decided to begin working on his project as Ido shakes his head.

"I'm sorry, Howard, but I can't. You know why I'm working on perfecting, 'Project Zalem', as well as the others, so how can you all expect me to give up on the project that could potentially bring back my-," Ido says before cutting himself as a horrible memory flashed before his eyes and started tearing up a bit as he momentarily stopped working to turn around and rubbed his eyes as Ido tries to regain control of his emotions.

"...Yes, Dyson. I do know why you're working so hard to make 'Project Zalem' work but let's face it, even as a man of science, you have to agree that you're just following a fool's dream." Howard says as Ido flinched and whirled around to glare at his friend as Howard winced at his glare, but managed to maintain a stoic demeanor as Howard knows that he needs to drill into his friends head that the accomplishment that he has been trying to achieve for nearly two decades was basically impossible, even with the help of science. "I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but it's the truth, Dyson. What you're trying to achieve here is something that you will never be able to achieve, Ido. No matter how smart you are, no matter how many times you try...you can't bring back your daughter, Ido. She's dead, and you need to accept that because no one around here believes that you can play God and bring her back from the dead." Howard says coldly as Ido felt his spirits deflate a bit by what he said before perking up as he smiled up at Howard smugly.

"That's not true, Stark. How about that Howard-,"

"If you're trying to convince me to place my trust on that weird hippy 'Howard Potts' guy that we met nine years ago, then stopped because it won't work," Howard says, kicking himself for introducing that odd Howard Potts person to his friend as Howard walked over to Ido with a serious look on his face. "Clearly that man was just trying to toy with your emotions and mess with you. How can you trust the judgment of a complete stranger that we never see again over your best friend, Ido?" Howard asked gently as Ido felt his eyes tear up again, but he managed to compose himself fast enough to glare at his friend stoically as he walked over to his robot.

"Well, if you won't trust Mr. Pott's judgment, then can you at least trust mine?" Ido says, surprising Howard with what he said as Ido began continuing his work on fixing up his robot's core. "Don't think that I'm naive or stupid, Howard. I KNOW how stupid my idea is, and I KNOW that it might not ever succeed, but...I have to try." Ido says while shakily working around the complex, for that time, circuitry that resides under the robot's chest as Ido took a couple of deep breaths to calm his nerves and nodded to himself confidently as Ido thinks that he managed to find the true cause of the problem and began fixing it as he spared Howard a somber, tired, guilty look. "I...wasn't a good father to Alita, Howard," Ido says as Howard opens his mouth, but Ido cuts him off as he went back to his work.

"And don't try to deny it, I was a pretty shitty Dad. Maybe not as much as my own, but I neglected her a lot and belittle her interests just because it wasn't 'science related'. Not knowing how much I hurt her by saying that and, because of my actions, Alita had suffered death against the hands of my own creation, so from that day forward, I have devoted myself to bring my baby girl back from the dead and promise myself to be a good father to her." Ido says while finishing repairs on the robot's core as he took out his hands from the robot's chest and quietly stood up as he made his way over to the computer, not noticing Howard giving him a subtle, pity but respected and amazed look as Ido pressed a few buttons on his keyboard before turning back to Howard as Ido glared at him in fierce, raw, determination. "So, quite frankly, Howard, I don't care how long it takes, I don't care how many failed experiments I would produce, I don't care if I drive everyone away, I WILL find a way to bring back my daughter from beyond the grave, and NO ONE is going to stop me!" Ido yelled, finishing his little speech as Howard stared at him with an emotionless look on his face before sighing heavily as he shakes his head.

"So...you're not going to give up anytime soon, huh, you old bastard?" Howard asked/insulted as Ido smirks at him smugly.

"Nope, you arrogant asshole." Ido insulted back as the two men stared at each other for a few seconds before smiling as they laughed.

"Ah, alright, Dyson, if you truly want to continue with 'Project Zalem' then go right ahead." Howard says as Ido beams a bit and smiled as the two grown men shook hands and shared a very 'manly' hug as they separated, and Howard smirked at him mischievously. "But don't expect that Janet will be okay with this. You know the minute that I tell Janet about our little meeting, she will fight from hell to back to get you out of his damn lab." Howard says cheekily as Ido rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I know," Ido says while signing exasperatedly as Howard adjusted his tie and began making his way out of the lab as he turned back to look at his friend briefly.

"Anyway, I have to go back to the misses and my bratty, snot-nosed, nine-year-old son, so I will see you around, Ido...take care of yourself, alright," Howard says while giving Ido a rare caring and sincere look as Ido smiled at him lightly.

"I will don't worry," Ido promised as Howard nodded curtly before exiting the lab as Ido went back to his work and saw the schematic of the robot's core popped out as Ido bits his lip anxiously/worriedly. "Come on, please, please, work for once." Ido pleaded into the heavens as he began staring at his computer screen hopefully and sweated nervously as the computer screen flashed red a few times...before turning green as Ido gasped in shock and relief as he swiftly turned and watched in shock as the robot's core glowed brightly and shined through the robot's chest as the rest of its body glowed a bit as well before fading as Ido smiled widely and teared up a bit as he laughs in disbelief. "Yes! Finally! Something worked!" Ido cheered while dancing around a bit...before remembering that he's a grown man and a well-respected S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist as Ido coughs awkwardly and calms down as he then looks over at the robot and smiles warmly as his eyes glinted with huge hope.

"Don't worry, my little angel Alita. You will soon come back and, once you do, I promise that I will NEVER neglect or change you EVER again." Ido says to himself firmly as he nodded to himself determinedly and went back to his work on completing his newest creation, even though he has a long way to go before he could-I means, will be able to bring back his daughter, but, hey, Ido had spent fifteen years of his life working on creating a new robot body suitable for his daughter's needs, he can wait for fifteen more. I mean, what father wouldn't go to the lengths to save his child as he would? The answer, no one. I mean, come on, what are the chances that in the future another father would neglect his child, causes him/her to go on accident so bad that their brain had to be placed on an incredibly advanced cyborg body that the father built our of guilt and regret, right?...right?

[2000- November 22nd]

We then cue twenty-one years into the future as we appear in Malibu, California, where we see a large, custom-built, technologically integrated mansion that was located near the sea-side of a cliff along the coast of Malibu as we zoom into the mansion and see a bored young man sitting on a desk that was currently filled with dozens, upon dozens of paperwork as the young man was currently looking over them with an admittedly cute pout as he groaned and placed his hands on his face as he sighs heavily.

"Do I really have to do all of this? I already feel exhausted just by looking at all of them. Don't you usually deal with the boring paperwork, Pep?" The man asked rhetorically while looking at the door as a young beautiful woman come in and gave him a bemused look as she shakes her head.

The young man is a tall, 5'9-feet-tall, admittedly handsome, 30-year-old man with light brown eyes, dark brown pompadour-styled hair, a small black goatee, Caucasian skin, and wears a white T-shirt with a silver necklace that has the words, 'I'mBad', black skinny jeans, and black/white shoes. His name is Anthony Edward Stark, billionaire industrialist and CEO of Stark Industries.

The young woman is a tall, 5'9-feet-tall, beautiful, 28-year-old woman with light blue eyes, long light orange hair that reaches to her waist and was tied up into a ponytail, light freckles on her nose/cheeks, light skin, and her outfit consists of a black business suit with a white-collard shirt underneath, a small black tie, and black high-heels. Her name is Virginia Potts, although she prefers to be called Pepper...also, if you're wondering why the hell Virginia likes to call herself, 'Pepper', that's mostly because it was a cute nickname that Tony had come up for her after watching Virginia threatening to pepper spray a security guard on the first day that had formally met.

"Yes, I do, Mr. Stark, but as CEO of Stark Industries, you have to at least look over the 'boring' paperwork by yourself once a year," Pepper says as Tony laid back against his chair and lets out a loud overdramatic sigh.

"Fine, I will look it over," Tony says before leaning over his desk as he grabbed a pair of reading glasses and puts them on as Tony then looked over the paperwork and nodded in approval as he looked back at Pepper. "Well, I looked it over, and it looks good. can I go now?" Tony asked half-jokingly/half-seriously as Pepper gave him an unamused look, and Tony smiles back at him cheekily as Pepper rolls her eyes and shakes her head as the young woman turned around to leave the room. "You know, Pepper, you don't have to be so formal with me anymore. You have been working as a personal assistant for me for half a year. I think, by this point, you can call me Tony."

"Sorry, Mr. Stark, but I like to be professional when I work," Pepper says while still making her way out of the room as she stops by the door and turned to look at Tony as she had a little smirk on her face. "And I will start calling you by your real name if you call me by mine," Pepper says as Tony smirks a bit, but doesn't say anything as Pepper rolled her eyes amusedly and walked out of the room to take her lunch break as Tony sighs and went back to his work as he prayed that something exciting will happen that will give him an excuse to dodge paperwork. *cough* *cough*Epic foreshadowing *cough* *cough*

Meanwhile, outside, we see a hooded, disguised female figure making her way towards Tony's Mansion while carrying what seems to be a two-month-old baby girl with light brown eyes in her arms as she was wrapped up in a pink bundle. Anyway, after making her way through Stark's security system, don't ask how she had managed to accomplish the almost impossible task, the disguised woman ran up to the porch while looking around to make sure that no one was looking around as she then gently places the baby down and frantically knocked on the door as she also ringed the doorbell before turning around to run away as the woman heard the baby let out a loud, sad yell behind her, and the woman stops in her tracks as she teared up a bit and ran back to the baby as she gave her a somber, forlorn look and kisses the baby's cheek, calming her down as the woman smiled at her baby sadly and then pulled out a note from her pocket as she placed it on the baby's stomach and stood up as the mysterious woman ran away.

"Miss Potts? There seems to be someone at the door." A British male voice rang out from the ceiling of Tony's house as Pepper stops mid-walk while holding a sandwich and sprite in her hands as she groans in annoyance.

"Can you please answer it, Jarvis? I'm kind of in my lunch break right now." Pepper complained.

"Sorry, Miss Potts, but, as you may know, I'm just Mr. Stark's artificially intelligent home system. I can't physically open the door." Jarvis says, almost sarcastically, as Pepper rolled her eyes and groans as she placed her lunch down on the table and began making her way to the front door with a glare.

"I swear, sometimes I don't know why Mr. Stark will build that sarcastic little-Hello," Pepper grumbles under her breath angrily before putting on a fake bright smile as she opened the door to greet the new guest...only to see nothing as Pepper blinks in confusion and looks around as she heard a small gurgle below her and looks down as Pepper gasps in surprise at the sight of a squirming baby lying on the ground. "Oh my." Pepper while placing her hand on her mouth in shock as she looks around to see if anyone could be seen, but didn't see anyone as Pepper then turned back to the baby and bends down as she tilted her head curiously and studied the little baby before her thoughtfully as the baby cooed cutely, and Pepper smiled a bit as she quickly grabbed onto the baby and stood up.

"Hey, you," Pepper says soothingly as the baby girl looks up at her curiously and smiles a bit as she lifts her little hand and boops Pepper on her nose as Tony's assistant giggles a bit and fixes up what little her hair she has as Pepper smiles at her. "What are you doing out here alone, little one? Where are your parents?" Pepper asked rhetorically, knowing that the baby won't be able to answer it as the baby cooed and squirmed around in the young woman's hold as Pepper smiled warmly, and her eyes widen a bit as she finally noticed the note stuck on the baby's chest and grabbed it as Pepper began reading it...and her eyes widen in shock as she gasped and quickly ran back inside the mansion as Pepper slams the door shut. "Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark! I need to talk to you!" Pepper yelled frantically while running into her office as she opens the door...and deadpans as she saw Tony sleeping on her desk. "MR. STARK!"

"I'm awake! I'm awake! I'm doing work!" Tony shouted while shotting up as he sleepily began reading the paperwork that he was supposed to be working on and turned to Pepper as he saw her giving him an unamused look and Tony smiled at her sheepishly as he was about to come up with an excuse...only to blink as he saw a two-month-old baby resting in her arms. "Oh, Pepper. You never told me that you had a kid." Tony says with a stunned look on his face as he stood up and walked over to him as he studied the baby, who looked up at him silently as Tony gave Pepper a small, somewhat sad smile. "Who's the lucky guy?" Tony asked as Pepper once again gave him an unamused look.

"This baby is not mine," Pepper stated dryly as Tony mentally sighs in relief but then raised an eyebrow as he stared at the silent baby confusedly.

"Wait, if the baby is not yours, then whose it? And why you bring it here?" Tony asked as Pepper's unamused look disappeared and was replaced with a solemn one as she pulled out the note that she found earlier and handed it over to Tony as he stared at it oddly.

"I found her placed on your front porch a few minutes ago, and there was no one around, so someone most likely dropped her here," Pepper says as Tony's eyes widen in shock.

"Are you serious?! Then why are you bringing her to me!? Send her to the police so that they can find the irresponsible, stupid parent who abandoned their child on my lawn!" Tony yelled, getting angry that someone will just leave their poor child in his front door as Pepper bits her lip nervously.

"Well, uh, the reason I brought her to you is because...well...just read the note, please." Pepper pleaded as Tony raised an eyebrow at her but nodded as he looks down to read the note that Pepper had handed to him earlier...and his eyes widen in pure shock/horror at what he reads as his hands started to shake.

"Dear Tony Star AKA The jackass who abandoned me and got me pregnant with a baby! Yeah, you heard me, asshat! Remember, new years where we had our little fun? Yeah, well, it looks like you left behind a present for me. A seven-pound crying, popping, present! Ugh, sorry about that. I needed to vent a little, and I took my anger out on you...although you deserved it for what you did to me. Anyway, yes, Tony, this baby is, in fact, mine and yours. And don't even think that I'm lying or that I'm trying to pawn off someone else's baby to you because I'm damn sure that you're the only man that I have slept with twelve months ago! She is your baby, Tony. And, although I resent you for leaving me behind like trash and breaking my heart, I wanted to take care of our baby, but after months of feeding, wiping, and taking care of her in general, I-I just can't take care of her right now, Tony. So, with a heavy heart, I decided to leave her with you. You should be you're taking care of her anyway since you have all the money you want to care for her far better than I could. Besides, you should take responsibility for your actions for once. Anyway, her name is Amala. You can give her your last name if you want since I'm not giving you my name so that you can track me down and hand Amala over to me. Anyway, have a good life as a new father, Tony. Signed anonymous."

Dropping the note silently, a stunned Tony took a couple of steps back and stumbles into Pepper's desk as he gripped his heart and seems to be in a panic attack as his worried assistant rushed over to him while placing a cooing Amala onto her desk as Pepper walked over to place her hand on Tony's back and rubbed it soothingly to help Tony get his breathing under control as Amala mindlessly rolled around in the desk and gurgles as she studied the desk that she was lying on curiously, oblivious to her father's near heart attack as Pepper whisper calm words into his ears.

"Mr. Stark, please, breathe. In and out. In and out." Pepper repeated as Tony shakily did as she instructed and began breathing in and out as Tony slowly resumed control of his breathing and turned to stare at Amala fearfully as Pepper noticed his nervous demeanor and gave him a concerned look as Pepper placed her hand on his shoulder. "Mr. Stark, are you feeling alright?" Pepper asked as Tony laughs sarcastically at what she says.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine, Pep. Just fine. It's not like I've just read the worst news that I could've heard in my life, and now I have this little burden to take care of! Yep! Life is peachy!" Tony yelled, slowly growing angry as he storms out of Pepper's office without looking back at his daughter, who started crying by the loud yell that her father made as a worried Pepper rushed over to grab Amala and placed her in her arms as she started rocking her up and down.

"It's okay, it's okay, shh. It's okay. Your father didn't mean to scare you, baby girl. He's just...well...your father just needs time to process the news." Pepper says reassuringly to the young baby, who was knawing on her shirt as Pepper smiled at her a bit before flinching as she heard a vase being smashed against a wall, and Pepper sighs loudly as she heard Tony yelling loudly in the next room. "And that time is now," Pepper says as she swiftly turns around and walked out of her office while making sure to have a firm grip on a squirming Amala as the girls saw a screaming Tony throwing random objects across the room and a couple of Tony's employees appeared to stare at their growling boss confusedly as Pepper gestured them to go away, and they reluctantly obliged as Pepper walked up to a panting Tony. "Are you done?"

"Not yet," Tony says as he picks up another expensive vase and smashes against the floor, causing the girls to flinch a bit, and Pepper made sure to protect Amala from the flying shards as Tony panted and sat on the floor as he placed his head in between his knees. "Alright, I'm done now," Tony mumbles under his breath as Pepper nodded and carefully sat beside him as she placed Amala on her lap, and Tony flinched at the sight of the baby as his face grew paled and he scooted away as Pepper scoffs.

"Oh, for goodness sake, Tony! It's just a baby! You act like it's going to kill you!" Pepper says as Tony suddenly went quiet and looked away as he mumbles something under his breath. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" Pepper asked as Tony mumbled something under his breath again. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Or I can kill her!" Tony yelled, shocking Pepper with what she said, as Amala once again cried loudly by her father as Tony sees this and groans as he rubs his hair angrily and stood up as he glared at Pepper. "Pepper, look at me. I can't take care of this thing! I can barely take care of myself!" Tony says while pointing at Amala, who was still crying as Pepper rocked her a bit to calm her down. "And I'm waaaaaaaay too busy to care of her anyway since I'm running a company, so we're going to have to give her to an orphanage," Tony says, shocking Pepper with what he said as she grew angry and stood up as she marched over to him.

"An orphanage!? You can't give her up to adoption! She's your daughter!" Pepper shouted while holding out a crying Amala as Tony flinched a bit from her yell and Amala's loud crying as his anger dwindled a bit and Tony looked away as he rubs his neck awkwardly.

"T-There's no visible proof that she is my-,"

"Tony, please, we both know that she's yours. We don't need a DNA test to confirm. I mean, have you actually look at her? She looks exactly like you!" Pepper says while presenting a sniffling Amala to Tony as the young genius narrowed his eyes at the young child and couldn't help but to sign silently as Tony noticed the many similarities between like their eyes, nose, skin color and even her face looks like a female version of his face. Frankly, the only thing different from them was that Amala had a few strands of black hair.

"Okay, even if she is my child, I can't take care of her, Pep. I'm not father material. I mean, I didn't have anyone to learn from since my Dad wasn't exactly father of the year or anything." Tony says sarcastically as Pepper gave him a sympathetic look and places her hand on his shoulder.

"Tony, I know you're scared, and I know that this is going to be a big change to you, but just look at her," Pepper says while gesturing her head at Amala, who had calmed down as she stared at Tony silently, as if scanning to see who the strange yelling man was, as she tries to reach out to touch his face and Tony literally could feel his heart-melting a bit as he smiled a bit and gently takes her hand away from his face as Pepper smiles warmly at what she sees. "She needs you. Not some fake family. Amala needs her real father...and I'm sure you need her." Pepper says, under her breath, as she secretly wants this event to teach her boss some responsibility, and maybe Amala will help him mature a bit and be less sarcastic and more respectful to other people...okay, maybe the last few parts were wishful thinking, but Pepper was desperate to change Tony a bit. "Just try to hold her and see if you like her or not," Pepper says while holding out Amala to him as Tony immediately grew scared and raised his hands as he took a couple of steps back.

"Nope, no, no, no, not doing that! I am not holding her!" Tony exclaimed as Pepper rolled her eyes and smiles a bit as she stalks over to him and held out a cooing Amala like a weapon as she walks closer and closer to him.

"Come on, please, just hold her! You're her father, father's are supposed to hold their children."

"Nope, not doing it. You can't make me!"

"Tony, for god sake, stop being a baby and hold the baby!"

"No!"

"Hold her!"

"No!"

"Hold the damn baby!"

"I SAID NO!" Tony yelled loudly, spooking Pepper and Amala as Stark's kid immediately teared up and started crying again as both adults grew guilty of their arguing, both not wanting to scare the baby as Pepper was about to comfort her, but then, much to her shock, Tony reached out and grabbed Amala from out of her arms as Tony began rocking her in his arms.

"Shh, shh, it's okay, baby girl. There's no need to be scared. I'm sorry for scaring you." Tony says in a soothing tone, surprising Pepper even more as she had never seen this side of her boss before, but she was definitely not against it as Amala's cries slowly die down, and a gurgling Amala stopped crying as she looked up at her father curiously. "There, see? All better now." Tony says while adjusting her in his arms as Amala stared at him quietly for a few seconds before making a little smile as Amala gurgled happily.

"See, Tony? You're a natural! You have managed to calm her down faster than even I could." Pepper compliments him as Tony blushes a bit and tries to seem indifferent as he shrugs.

"What? Do you mean this? I just watched how you calmed down Amala, and I decided to copy your moves, nothing more, nothing less," Tony says cooly as Pepper raises an eyebrow at him with an unconvinced look as Tony sighs heavily and rolled his eyes. "Alright, I grew attached to this kid-I mean, m-my d-daughter...man, that's weird to say. Anyway, Pep, while I am one of the smartest men in the world, I may need some help taking care of Amala, so I was wondering if you can-,"

"Sure, Tony, I will help you take care of Amala. But I won't take care of her 24/7. I want you to pitch in as well since I won't have little Amala here be neglected by her father." Pepper says as Tony nodded solemnly.

"Trust me, Pep, I won't raise my daughter like how my father raised me. I will actually be there for her." Tony says with a rare serious tone in his voice as Pepper smiled proudly and nodded as an awkward silence rang out. "So...calling me Tony now, huh? Whatever happened to having a responsible relationship?" Tony asked teasingly as Pepper blushed a bit and coughs as she straightened out her suit.

"T-That was just a slip of the tongue. Nothing more, Mr. Stark." Pepper says as Tony flashes her his usual cocky smile, and Pepper blushed harder as she huffs and turns around as she began walking away. "Now, if you excuse me, I have to set everything up for your daughter like buying her new clothes, diapers, toys, and of course, setting up important documents for her. I will be back in a couple of hours. In the meantime, try to use this time to bond with your new daughter." Pepper says before disappearing from sight, leaving behind the Starks as Tony looks down at Amala and smiles at her awkwardly as Tony sat down on a chair and carefully places a cooing Amala on his lap as he studied her.

"So...you're my daughter, huh?" Tony says while tilting his head as Amala stared at her father curiously before promptly placing her hand inside of her mouth as she began chewing it. "Heh, I will admit, you are cute. Although, it makes sense since you are my daughter and I am quite handsome. No doubt you will be pretty beautiful when you grow up. Soon I have to chase off all of your future admires with a stick...or a flamethrower, either which anyway." Tony says casually as Amala didn't say anything but drool a bit as Tony winces a bit of what he sees and uses a nearby table cloth to wipe away her drool as he then sighs and rested his head on the chair as Amala played with his shirt. "Ah, honestly, Amala. I have no idea how I'm going to deal with you. Hell, I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to take care of you properly." Tony says as Amala babbled a bit and more drool appeared out of her as Tony smiled a bit and grabbed onto Amala as he made her look at him in his eyes. "But I promise you, Amala, that no matter what happens, I will be there for you and love you," Tony stated firmly as Amala didn't say anything but smile as she touches his nose, and Tony laughed a bit as he kisses her forehead and rested her on his chest as he began rubbing her back and looked up at the ceiling as Tony wonders if keeping Amala and raising her was the right decision to make.

[Montage Time!]

After Pepper came back, she and Tony were hard at work at gathering up all of the necessary paperwork to officially adopt Amala as Tony's daughter as Pepper had multiple of Tony's workers buy a multitude of baby clothes, toys, food, and furniture as the young assistant had placed all of Amala's stuff into her new room, which was placed near Tony's room as the genius billionaire had decided to take the next couple of months off to get used to his new bundle of joy and no one knew the true cause of their boss absence until one day Tony had promptly come back from his vacation from work and had called on a press conference as he arrived at a small room that was filled with all kinds of reporters and walked up to a podium as Tony turned to address the media with a little smirk on his face.

"Now, I know you are all wondering what was the cause of my sudden absence for the past year and a half," Tony says as the reporters nodded eagerly and then gasped as a sheepish, annoyed-looking Pepper had walked into the room while carrying a cooing Amala as she was now eight-months-old and wore a pink shirt that read, 'I'm Daddy's little girl', light purple pants, and black/white shoes. "I will like you all to meet Amala Stark, AKA, my daughter. Wave to the shocked reporters, 'hello', Amala," Tony says while waving at the stunned reporters as Amala babbled and copied her father as she waved at them cutely and immediately the reporters went crazy with the revelation of Tony Stark of people being a parent as they asked various questions like, 'When did you have the baby?', 'Why did you decide to have a baby?', 'Is she really your daughter?', 'Who's the mother?', 'Is your baby mom Pepper?'. Pepper blushed a bit at the last question as Tony was quick to answer all of their questions with relative ease and had quickly debunked the theory of Pepper being Amala's mother, much to their disappointment as Tony had refused to answer who's Amala mother, but had gleefully answered all of the other questions that the reporters had as the news of Tony Stark being a Daddy spread across the entire world.

A year later, we see a frantic-looking Tony Stark running across the kitchen with his one-year-old baby Amala watching him curiously from her highchair as she wore nothing but her purple princess footie pajamas due to a busy Tony forgetting to change out of her pajamas. After sloppily gathering up some bread, peanut butter, and some jelly as Tony mixed up the ingredients to create some PB&J sandwiches and cuts them up into small pieces as he places them on a plate and turns around as he was about to feed his daughter...only for his eyes to widen in horror as he saw that Amala had dissapeared.

"Pepper! Amala is on the run again!"

"I told you to keep an eye on her at all times!" Pepper yelled while appearing beside him as she looked equally as unkempt as Tony is and even had bags under her eyes as her hair was disheveled.

"Pepper, I swear to God, I turned around for a few seconds, and she just vanished like a freaking ninja!" Tony yelled exasperatedly as Pepper rolled her eyes and groans as she placed her hands on her temples before composing herself as she was about to suggest to Tony to search around the house for Amala, only for the adults to hear a cute giggle behind them as they saw a cooing Amala, somehow, crawling on the kitchen table as she was reaching out to grab the knives.

"OH, CRAP!" Tony yelled panickedly as he and Pepper rushed to the table, and Tony grabbed onto a fussy Amala while Pepper snatched the knives that were in the baby's hands as both adults panted tiredly.

"You're...a...piece...of...work...you know that?" Tony asked while glaring down at Amala as she babbled cutely and reached out to touch his nose as Tony's angry demeanor disappeared, and the billionaire sighs heavily as he shakes his head and rubs Amala's back as he started rocking her in his arms and Pepper smiled a bit at the scene as then proceeds to turn around to call someone to clean up the mess that he boss and Amala made.

"Daddy's pretty." A young child-like female voice says as we fast forward in time and see a two-year-old Amala playing in her room as Tony was sitting beside her with a deadpan, annoyed look on his face as Amala had used her seemingly hypnotic cute powers, as Tony said it btw, to force him to wear a pretty pink princess outfit complete with a pink tiara as Amala was sitting on his lap and was currently facing him as she was doing some makeup, which she had borrowed from Pepper last night, on his face. "Daddy pretty." Amala says while applying, rather clumsily, some red lipstick on her Dad's lips, cheeks, and eyebrows as an unamused Tony grabs onto her little arm gently and took away the lipstick in her hands as he gave her a patient but tired look.

"Yes, sweetie, Daddy's pretty, but Daddy is also worried that Pepper or anyone else will walk in on me looking like Princess Cinderalla or whatever, so let Daddy take off this outfit and wash of this makeup before..." Tony says before trailing as he noticed that the door to Amala's door was opened, and a giggling Pepper could be seen as the young woman looks like she was going to die of laughter at the sight of her dressed up boss and soon Tony's workers appeared behind Pepper as they started laughing at their boss and even started taking photos at him as Tony groans in embarrassment and hands his head down as a smiling Amala, who had placed her hand in her mouth, placed her saliva-covered hand on his cheek and pats him comfortably as Tony briefly grimaced a bit, but still smiled at his daughter in appreciation as he rubs her hair.

"Sweetie, come here! Come to Papa!" Tony yelled frantically while chasing around a still two-year-old Amala as, earlier that day, Tony had decided to take his daughter to the park so that she can play in the playground, but that plan was ruined when the paparazzi showed up and surrounded them as they started taking pictures of them and asked numerous questions as Tony glared at the reporters in annoyance, but had begrudgingly started answering their questions to get rid of them quickly. After hearing her Daddy answer a lot of the questions from the weird, scary people, a bored Amala got tired of standing around and not playing in the playground like her daddy had promised her as the young child decided to let go of her daddy's hand and had run off as a worried Tony ran after with the paparazzi taking pictures of the humourous sight of a yelling Tony running after his giggling daughter as the photos were immediately leaked onto the news and a deadpan Pepper watched it as she turned over to give a dirt and mud-covered Tony and Amala a disbelief/amused look.

"Okay, and when you install this thing-of-a-mob into this doo-hickey, it will make it glow," Tony says to his now three-year-old daughter as they were currently working on Tony's lab, and the CEO of Stark Industries was currently trying to teach her about electronics by creating a small circle-shaped contraption in front of her as Amala was currently staring at her father in silent awe, seeming to be amazed at seeing her father in his element as Tony smirked at this and held out a small cylinder-shaped power-cell that was thankfully safe to touch as it wasn't radioactive. "Here, sweetie, why don't you try and put this thing-of-a-mob into this doo-hickey."

"Okay, Daddy." Amala says while grabbing the 'thing-of-a-mob' from out of her father's hands and carefully placed into the doo-hickey as the small machine hums for a bit before glowing brightly as Amala beams and clapped her hands happily as she giggled. "I did it, Daddy! I'm an inventor like Daddy!" Amala exclaimed cheerfully as Tony felt his heartstrings tug a bit by what she said and smiled widely as he reached over to kiss her forehead, and Amala giggled slightly as Tony then bends down and picked a box filled with discarded, broken inventions as Tony continued showing off his technological skills to her.

"Go to work! File those papers! You! Make my coffee! Where are my tax peppers thingies!? I need to finish them by the end of the night, or else my assistant Peppy will get mad at me and punish me by giving me more work!" A three-year-old Amala said sternly as she was currently playing in Tony's empty office room and wore one of his business suits and one of Pepper's pair of high heels as she was pretending to act like her daddy and was giving her co-workers, i.e., her plush toys, orders. An amused, giggling Tony and Pepper watched the little girl play in Tony's office from the next room as they were currently watching Amala on Pepper's tablet from one of Tony's security camera as Tony and Pepper laughed as the young woman turns off her table and then turned over to Tony as smiled at him warmly.

"What?" Tony asked, confused by her smiling, as Pepper shrugs innocently and walked forwards a few steps as she placed her arms behind her back.

"Oh, nothing, it's just that ever since little Amala was dropped off into your front porch, you have changed. Sure, you're still an egotistical jerk at times, but you have stopped going to parties, you don't drink as much, and hell, you hardly ever bring in any of your 'lady friends' anymore,"

"Yeah, well, I have a daughter to take care off and stuff, and I'm pretty sure that a teenage Amala will be pissed at me if she ever finds out that I had you change her diapers and raise her while I was going off to parties and whatever." Tony says with a shrug, trying to act nonchalant, but couldn't fight off the little smile on his face as Pepper continued smiling at her. "But, yeah, I guess the kid changed me a bit, but I can't really say that I mind at all by it. Yeah, sure, raising a hyperactive, imaginative little girl isn't easy as some people think. I had to deal with her temper tantrums, her cries, etc., but hey, she's my kid. I mean, just because Amala stresses me out sometimes, it doesn't mean that I will abandon her like her so-called mother did." Tony says the last part bitterly as Pepper frowned slightly and sighs as she gave him a concerned/curious look.

"Speaking off Amala's Mother, have you managed to find out who your baby momma is?" Pepper asked as, much to her disappointment, Tony shakes his head.

"Sadly, the elusive Baby Momma's identity is still a mystery for me. I have searched for literally three years trying to find out who Amala's mother is, but I still haven't found any clues on her identity whatsoever."

"Well...I'm sure that you will be able to find your Baby Momma eventually, but, for now, lets-I mean, you should focus on taking care of our-I mean, your Baby Girl." Pepper says as Tony nodded and the duo turned back to Pepper's tablet as the red-headed woman turns it on and glances at Tony's security cameras as they saw little Amala still bossing around her plushies.

"You're useless! Absolutely fucking useless! You should rot in hell for your fucking usleesness!" Amala cursed loudly as Tony and Pepper's eyes widen in pure shock/horror at what the three-year-old said as Pepper briefly wondered where Amala had heard such horrible words...before figuring out how she heard those curse words as Pepper slowly turned over to a guilty-looking Tony and glared at him in unkept fury as he smiled at her nervously.

"I...uh...well...Amala may have heard me yell at an idiotic employee once and..." Tony trails off as he noticed that a dark, angry aura was covering Pepper's body and did the wisest thing by bolting out of the scene as a pissed-off Pepper followed after her boss.

[Montage Over]

Another year has passed as it was late at night, and we cue to Tony Malibu's Mansion as we zoom into the house and see a very tired-looking, 34-year-old, Tony Stark sitting in his office, doing some work as he wore a black vest with a white-collard T-shirt underneath, a black tie, black pants, and black/white shoes. Sighing, Tony glances at the pile of paperwork before him as he shakes his head and turned on his computer as he began looking through several files and frowns disapprovingly at what he sees as Tony breathes in and out deeply, and dark memories began filling up his brain as Tony abruptly sits up, and storms out of the office as the camera zooms into his computer, and we see multiple messages from his friends and co-workers wishing him condolences for his mother's death on her birthday.

With his hands inside of his pockets, Tony somberly walks across the hallway of his home as memories of his mother's smiling face appeared in his head and Tony frowned harder as he began tearing up, but Tony quickly wiped them away as the CEO of Stark Industries briefly considered drinking some booze to alleviate his pain, only for his attention to be distracted by his daughter as Tony saw that the door to her room was opened and peered into her room as the young man saw Amala sleeping soundly in her bed while wearing her Disney Princess pink pajamas as Tony stared at her for a few seconds before smiling a bit as Tony quietly wishes her goodnight and closes the door as he was about to walk off, only to yelp in shock as a bald-headed old man appeared and stood in front of him. The old man is a 6'1-feet-tall, 48-year-old man with light blue eyes, a bald head, a grizzly white beard, Caucasian skin, and his outfit consisted of a black striped business suit with a blue-collard striped shirt underneath, a yellow tie, white cuffs, black striped pants, and black shoes. His name is Obadiah Stane, Tony Stark's business partner and a good friend of his father, Howard Stark.

"Holy crap, Stane! Don't scare me like that!" Tony half-whispered/half-yell, not wanting to wake up his daughter, as he grabbed onto Stane's arm and lead him far away from his daughter's room to talk privately.

"Sorry for scaring you like that, Stark. It wasn't my intention. I just simply wanted to grab your attention." Stane says as Tony rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I noticed. Anyway, can you tell me why you're in my home late at night?" Tony asked in annoyance while crossing his arms as Stane straightens out his tie and gave Tony a somber look as he places his hands behind his back.

"Well, I came here to check on you, Tony, since today is the day where your parents...well, you know. How are you feeling?" Stane asked while eying him oddly as Tony flinches and looks down somberly as he felt his throat being closed up.

"Fine." Tony says curtly while rubbing his neck as he suddenly feels like he needed to get out of the room asap. "Hey, look, thanks for stopping by to check on me or whatever, it's really sweet and weird at the same time, but I have to go." Tony says as he brushes past a stoic Stane and was about to make his way to his bedroom, only to stop as Stane spoke up.

"You know, Stark, I know that you never believed me when I said that your Father loved you, but he truly did love you, Tony." Stane says, catching Tony's attention as he turned towards him angrily/confusedly, and Stane grinned at this before putting on a more somber frown as he looks away 'sadly'. "He and your mother treasured you dearly, and their deaths are truly tragic, but imagine how they will found out when they realize that their only son actively and purposely is trying his hardest to ignore the anniversary of their death. They would feel really betrayed and devasted by what you're doing, Tony. I hope you realize that." Stane says while walking over to pat a quiet Tony's shoulder as he shakes his head and walks off, leaving behind a crestfallen Tony as Stane's words whirled around his head, and Tony began tearing up as he sniffled and wiped away his tears as the CEO of Stark Industries looks down, unable to breathe as he felt a deep pang hits his heart and Tony started breathing erratically as he looks around to find a way to ease the pain that he's feeling and spotted the kitchen as a dangerous idea popped into his head and Tony began walking over to the kitchen.

A few hours later, we see a drunken and completely wasted Tony Start leaning against the kitchen table with numerous, and numerous empty alcoholic bottles placed around him as he burbs and groans as Tony started dizzily making his way out of the kitchen and sluggishly walked down the hallway as he stumbled around for a bit but was able to make to his destination, which was his daughter's room as he weakly grabbed onto the door handle and forcefully opened it as Tony walked inside and saw Amala sleeping soundly on her bed as the billionaire bachelor smiles down at her somberly.

"Poor baby girl." Tony thought to himself sadly as he remembered what Stane said earlier, and a determined look crosses his face as he reached over to grab his daughter by her shoulders. "Hey, Amala, wake up." Tony says as Amala moans a bit before opening her eyes as she blinked up at her father confusedly.

"Daddy? What's going on? Is it morning time yet?" Amala asked tiredly while sitting up as she rubbed her eyes.

"Not yet, sweetie." A still drunken Tony says while helping his tired daughter from out of her bed as he placed her on the ground. "You and I are just going out for a drive."

"A drive? But it's 3:00 in the morning. It's way past my bedtime." Amala says while watching her father pull out her coat from her closet as Tony puts it on her, and a reluctant Amala began putting on her pink bunny slippers. "Mama is going to get mad again."

"S-Sweetie, I, (burp), keep telling you that Pepper is not your mother. She's your babysitter." Tony says as he grabbed onto her arm and began dragging her out of the room while stumbling a bit as he burped, and Amala winces at the foul stench of alcohol from his breath.

"Yeah, yeah," Amala says, not believing her father, as he began leading her to the garage and slowly approaches one of the many various cars that he has as Tony unlocks the car and opened the passenger seat as he grabbed onto Amala and placed her inside. "Where are we going, Daddy?" Amala asked curiously as Tony sat her down on her special-car seat and buckles the little Stark onto it as Tony then closes the passenger seat.

"We're going to visit a couple of people, sweetie pie." Tony says as he made his way over to the driver's seat and sat down it.

"Who?"

"Y-You're (burp) grandparents." Tony says with his cheeks puffing out a bit as he felt like he was going to vomit but was able to chug it down his throat as he winces.

"Grandparents?" Amala asked confusedly as her drunken, dizzy father started up the car and began driving out of his garage as they made their way out of Tony's home, not noticing that a mysterious figure was watching them from a distance as he/she narrowed their eyes at the car's retreating form. "Daddy, where are we going? I'm scared." Amala says to her father with a frightened look on her face as her father has been driving her across the town for the next couple of hours and was nearing morning time as both of them looks visibly exhausted, and poor little Amala looks like she was going to pass out as she was dozing off.

"I-I told you, sweetie, we're going to (burp) visit your grandparents." Tony says, still drunk as hell, as he had taken a small break to buy more beers from a store for the road.

"B-But, Daddy, you and Momma said that Grandpa and Grandma were up in heaven." Amala said, confused, causing Tony to gasp sharply as he slams his foot on the brakes and skids the car into a halt as Tony whirl around to glare at his now scared daughter.

"N-No, they're not! They're alive, I tell you! They're alive! (burp) They're not dead!" Tony yelled in a drunken rage, so intoxicated that he thought that his parents were really alive as Amala shrinks back from his yell and teared up as she started crying. Seeing this, Tony's rage dies down as he started feeling bad for making his daughter cry and sighs heavily as he places his hand on his face before looking over at the crying, red-faced Amala as Tony was about to apologize to her, but then suddenly-

BAM!

A random car appeared out of nowhere as it collided harshly against Tony's car and sends it flying into the air as it crashed landed against the pavement and rolled around a bit before blowing up as a huge explosion occurred. Coughing madly, a bruised, and burnt, Tony Stark made his way out of the burning and destroyed remains of his sports car as he groans and sits up as Tony panted heavily and looks around as he wondered who was the jackass that crashed against them and saw the random car from before suddenly driving away from the wreckage at high speeds. Watching the small mysterious vehicle drive off with a glare, Tony struggled to sit up to chase after it, until he hears a familiar cry from inside of his damaged, burning car as Tony's eyes widen in shock and horror as he realized that his four-year-old daughter was still inside of the burning, destroyed car!

"Amala!" Tony shouted worriedly as he swiftly ran over to his car, as best he could with his current injuries, and approaches his vehicle as he bends down and started crawling inside, ignoring the pieces of metal and fire scrapping his body as Tony had managed to crawl over to where his daughter was seating and his eyes widen in surprise at what he sees as Tony places his hand on his mouth in shock/horror. "Oh, God..." Tony trails off at the sight of his heavily injured daughter as Amala remained unconscious and motionless in her seat as she had severe burns on her face/body and seems to have internal bleeding as her legs were also completely cut off from her body due to falling piece of sharp metal piece from the car!

"Amala? Amala?" Tony asked with a shocked look, stunned by the state of his daughter's injured form as he tries to reach out to grab his tiny hand, but couldn't reach it as he cursed in frustration and sadness. "Amala! Amala! Please, wake up and grab my hand! Wake up!" Tony shouted at his knocked-out daughter, desperately trying to wake her up as several onlookers walked upon the scene and gasped in pure shock at what they see as they began moving closer to inspect the wreckage while also calling for 911. "Amala! No! God no, why!? Please, don't take her away from me! Not her! Anyone but her! Amala, please, open your eyes! Please, baby girl, just this once wake up! Don't go away from me, please, I'm sorry! I'm sorry for what happened to you! Just please wake up!" Tony yelled loudly as he knows full fell that several people are starting to stare at him making a scene, but he didn't care as Tony continued trying in vain to wake up his daughter but failed as she remained unresponsive and Tony lowers head his sadness as he began crying just as loud ambulance sirens could be heard from the background as it was drawn out by the sound of Tony Stark crying for the possible loss of his daughter.

"A life was lost, and a father was left to grieve, but this isn't the end of our stories, not even close, my dear readers. My life may be over, but soon I will be reborn into a new life, this one filled with action-pack adventures, emotional moments, and tons of romance...I'm looking at you, Webhead. You see, my dear readers, this is my origin story, this is of the story of how I, Alita Stark, will become the Avenger Battle Angel and how I become one of the greatest hero on Earth!" A womanly voice narrated passionately/heroically as we zoom out from the wreckage and cue at the night sky as we see the logo of the story appearing in the air, and the Avengers theme plays out as we could also see a pair of familiar glaring dark brown eyes glaring at the readers and two marks of fresh blood could be seen painted under the eyes.
