Chapter 1 New Begining and New Home
Earth 50
Everything changed after one event, that happen two years ago. Two years ago, Lex Luthor was made president of the USA. After his success at being appointed to office, Luthor had captured two heroes of the heroic team, Ghost-Maker & Flash who were doing a patrol together but got captured by men sent by Luthor. The president had the ghost torture and then later executed Flash right in front of him after taking an arm off, all happening on live television. This set the world in an all-out war, devasting a good number of things, and could have destroyed the entire planet.
In the events of their teammates' torture and one of their deaths, the heroic team aka the Justice Lords attacked the White House in retaliation. Batwoman and her team were able to save Ghost-Maker from his capture. The Woman of Tomorrow, Superwoman went straight for Luthor in the Oval Officer and stopped the mad man from putting the world into a nuclear war.
It was a hard choice for Superwoman, only one thing to do, use lethal methods and wasn't against everything she stood for. She did state that she loves being a hero and will do anything to end this scheme has it went off, it stops now. She had incinerated Luthor with her heat vision, killing the mad president and saved the world at a point in the war.
After the death of President Lex Luthor, the Justice Lords reorganized itself into a planet-wide ruling government body, quickly beginning a program of protecting humanity from itself and others. Free speech was all but dead, elections were chosen only when the Lords said so and the slightest disturbance of the peace meant immediate arrest. Many of the rouges that the Lords have or not faced in the past were lobotomized by Superwoman's heat vision to make them peaceful and harmless. The rouges were then placed in an updated and pleasant-looking Arkham Asylum.
A good number of heroes agree with Justice Lords' methods, some join and some did not. Small battles and wars happened during the two years of the Lords coming into power but were put down and never spoken again. Stopping the spark before it became a big flame in the world.
Ghostmaker had appeared or disappeared during the two years, doing rebellion against the Justice Lords through his own way and make people see that freedom will come one day. He had become a symbol of freedom and peace as he shows he was not afraid to fight the Justice Lords, his former friends as they were not honoring their friend's death. They were not evil but misguided and our hero hoped they can find their way back, hopeful it's not too late.
Earth 1
"We save lives every day and save the day but there are times when we fall and failed, to the aftermath and what happens."
A good number of scenes showing Ghostmaker getting torture and one time failing to escape in order to save his friend, Flash. A mad man grinning as he ordered the Ghost's arm to be cut and took out his pistol to kill the Scarlet Speedster right in front of the whole world. And how that event set in stone events to follow and a heroic team to fall from their grace.
"You both know how I come to this new home," A young man said which shows himself in a bar talking to two friends and telling his story to them. He had silver or white hair, two different colors of eyes which the upper is ocean blue & the lower purple as a gemstone. He had a body of a trained Olympian swimmer and fighter for his years of training. He wore a black shirt with his jacket by his side on his chair, black pants with white marks, white shoes for running, and fingerless gloves. This was Naruto Uzumaki and his story starts soon.
The waitress came by and refill the young man's coffee.
"Thank you," Naruto thanked the waitress as he drinks some of his coffee.
One of the pair was going to talk but Naruto held his hand up and wanted to keep talking, not taking a break as he wanted to share this one with them.
"You both knew how I came here but you both don't know the story behind it and events that took place," Naruto said as he recalled the two years he fought in and the last battle to change things back on his home, Earth 50, free again.
"I didn't know back then but after the two years of the world is ruled by an iron fist by a good number of my old friends, that Luthor most likely wanted this. The Justice Lords ruling like tyrants and were very misguided now, not evil, that's for sure, and glad for that during my patrols."
Scenes showed the Ghost of Freedom, Ghostmaker fighting the armies that the Justice Lords have and people gaining their hope & freedom back again as their lone hero keeps the fighting. Many places around the world would paint the bat and ghost symbol on buildings, street walks, or anywhere to honor their hero of freedom.
"I didn't much mind of being a hero again. I didn't saw myself as one back then during those two years, just a soldier that my father wanted me to become. I wasn't going to be that as my mother would be disappointed in me if I become a mindless machine and soulless soldier that kills. I was a ronin, a samurai without a master but as my own and fighting the path I know helps others."
More scenes showed Naruto or Ghostmaker helping others as a hero should while being a ronin with honor and justice, not letting his anger cloud his judgment and keep on fighting. But the next battle is different for our hero.
"I thought it was madness and crazy to the point of not paying attention back then but it became a big mistake. It was stupid and careless," Naruto said as he slammed his right fist on the table but stopped midpoint, calming down his anger to himself and not break a table with his cybernetic arm's strength.
Naruto took a breath and said, "It was careless of me to turn down that and not take action."
"I found out after hacking into Bryce's computer and mainframe, easy for me due to being a hacker and she must have forgotten about that. I found out that she was watching another world, Earth 12, that mirrors our world every day but three things are different in that world. Wally aka Flash was still alive, Luthor hasn't become president, and I have no counterpart in that world. I did pick up some sadness in a certain pair when they found out that I wasn't born in that world and caused me to think about them before things went bad."
A scene showed Naruto listening in onto the Justice Lords talking to each other about Earth 12 and their counterparts, the Justice League during their fight with Lex Luthor. He thought that it was crazy about world travel, impossible even and his former friends won't even do that, take over the other world. It was madness. He did a felt a bit bad about there's no counterpart of himself on the other world, much to two certain people's sadness.
"I kept my battle going and all but things were changing and I noticed the members of the Justice Lords were gone but only one stayed to watch over special prisoners that only loyal men of the armies the Lords have and Lords themselves. That got my attention and was almost into believing in other worlds out there."
Ghostmaker breaking into a good number of sources and able to get into the prison that was holding Earth 12 heroes, the Justice League, and helping them on saving Hawkgirl who was attacked when coming to this world. He did treat her on her wounds, thanks to his years of military medical treatment and going to some doctor schools. He was no doctor but get save a good number of lives.
Ghostmaker was able to have a reunion with a redeemed Batwoman who was redeemed by Batman. The Dark Knight of Earth 12 opens his counterpart's eyes and sees the truth that what they are doing was wrong, something their parents won't be proud of. This made Batwoman help the Justice League on returning back to their homeworld and help take down the Justice Lords, a different way and something they won't even think of which worked.
"After that fight and Lords would get their powers back in time, I talked to Bryce and later Candice about new life due to learning about the other earth in the multiverse out there and how exile can help a lot for many people. I was able to talk to the judge about giving the Justice Lords different punishments, exile until people want them back, and never be seen again."
Naruto aka Ghostmaker talking to the judge about the fate of the Lords and how Batwoman agree to that, exile, as their world doesn't need heroes anymore, not them. Sure crime and corruption will return one day but maybe a different hero should rise and deal with them. Both Naruto and Bryce were able to talk Candice into going to exile with them along with another person who had a history with the Ghost but anyway.
The others like Diana went back to her home and lived with the Amazons. John and his wife would go to space to another planet to start a new life, maybe a family one day and a promise to name their future sons after their good friends who were like their brothers to them, Naruto & Wally. J'onn was able to travel with the pair for a while until he decied to go back to earth under a new alias as John Smith and keep an eye on the rise of metahumans, a possible new group of heroes to come and he will mentor them, redeeming himself.
"I think we know the rest and here we are. I can save the day many times and fight through the battles but I never could escape my past. I can learn from it and not repeat it in this world, my new home," Naruto said, finishing up his story and telling it to his new friends in this world which showed to be Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent themselves.
Bruce was quiet, taking what Naruto had told them and understand where he was coming from. He too has been there before, a good number of times. Battling their demons, not outside but inside, are the hardest battle.
Clark sighed and said, "We come to know the true power of evil from what we do but surpassing that inner darkness tends to come out and truths as well."
This made both Naruto and Bruce looked at their friend with a raised eyebrow.
"You know when you say spooky stuff like that, you justify my contingency plans to defeat you," Bruce said as he drinks his coffee.
It was no surprise to Clark or Naruto that as this was Batman, after all, he plans for everything and contingency plans for a good number of heroes, meaning the Avengers as well. It has been two to three months since the heroes were formed together during and after their battle with an Evil God, forming a group of different and beyond people who can fight the battles that no one else could and give something back to the people, hope and avenge them.
"What I'm saying, Bruce, Naruto; you both are one of the strongest people I know. Not because of the demons you battle but the demons you battle inside you of both. And you two opening up to me about this. Well that shows real strength and I don't know anyone else that opens up like that," Clark explained as he saw the pair of strong people, stronger than him as they know how to help others and deal with their problems. And their willingness to open to their problems to their friends, like himself, is true strength if he has ever seen one.
"True, Clark. If I didn't have friends like you or anyone, I would have gone mad a while ago," Naruto admitted and was glad to have friends back then & now.
"It has its moments," Bruce agreed.
"Good and I know if you two stop showing this kind of support, is the day I need to activate my contingency plans for you both," Clark joked but has his own plans on dealing with Naruto and Bruce when or if it comes true.
This made Naruto and Bruce chuckled at that, being good humor to them as may or may not come to past. Who's can be sure?
"Now I believe we have a team meeting tomorrow and should get ready. After I find the check," Clark said, willing to pay for their meal.
"Thank you, Clark. I already pay before you show up," Bruce said as he gets up.
"How did you-?" Clark asked but was cut off by the Dark Knight.
"You order the same thing all the time and Naruto told me what he was going to have," Bruce replied with a rare smirk on his face, being a step ahead.
"Even after a good meal, you have to be two steps ahead. Really? Now that's creepy," Clark said.
"I am fine with that. I use to it by now but I still match you on that," Naruto said with a smirk as he gets up and talking about their friendly rivalry when on patrol.
"We will see, Naruto. We will see," Bruce said, knowing that to be true and looks forward to that as having a White Knight in Gotham does help a lot while making things interesting.
That's for sure and interesting indeed.
