Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug, Cat Noir and Steel Butterfly.
Chapter 9: Pixelator vs. Distortion.
(Author's notes: In this chapter, in my version of the Pixelator episode, Pixelator will be confronted with an opposite of him called Distortion, and Distortion will have the ability to redirect Pixelator's blasts away from people and objects to be used against Pixelator, especially if he chooses not to surrender.
Lastly, I just can't help it, but Miguel is gonna be described as secretly continuing to pull pranks on Caline Bustier. Miguel's powers allowed him to pull those pranks off so secretively and so discreetly that nobody bats an eye at anything. Especially with Miguel using self-camouflage outfits to make him blend in to his environment. Like I said, I can't help it; I just think that Ms. Bustier getting pranked is mine and Miguel's way of payback for all the things that Ms. Bustier did in the original timeline. And, by extension, Miguel is constantly pulling pranks on even Alix Kubdel because Miguel wants to entertain himself with pranking soon-to-be former Bunnyx.
Enjoy chapter 9.)
(Grand Paris Hotel, Paris, France, March 10th, 2015, third person POV...)
Kim puts on a bellboy's hat while Ms. Bustier says to the students inside the hotel, "Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Bourgeois, we're able to have our work experience field trip today at the Grand Paris luxury hotel. Each of you will get hands-on experiences with one of the many jobs here at the hotel."
She sees Ivan and Alix having a pillow fight, but doesn't notice a tall man filming the pillow fight as he is easily camouflaged with the colors of the room and everything in it. Heck, even his cell phone filming the whole thing is camouflaged.
Ms. Bustier continues with a glance at the end, "You'll be graded on your effort, which will affect whether you pass or fail the class."
As Ivan and Alix look sheepish, Sabrina and the bed-making worker giggle in unison at the twosome's expressions.
Even the invisible and camouflaged Miguel Guevara remarked very quietly, "Mwa ha ha."
Miguel was so quiet that not even one student at Francoise Dupont with Vulcan hearing could easily detect him. But he was not too quiet so that way, his phone would easily be able to hear and film his remark.
But then, Ms. Bustier asked, "Oh, and did anyone manage to find the mischievous tall man in ridiculous clothes that snuck into my room earlier today and quietly taped a sign on my back that read, 'I'm a dork, kick me?' "
Thinking quickly, the camouflaged Miguel instantly teleported out of the room without so much as a sound or a flash of light so as to avoid attracting any more attention than he already has.
Then, he proceeds to save the video on his computer files.
Yeah, Miguel Guevara was still pulling pranks on Ms. Bustier, despite Leppey's objections and despite Master Fu's lectures of using his powers, gadgets and inventions for mischievous deeds that are completely harmless and for petty things like getting revenge.
Miguel countered that even though Ms. Bustier is no longer a bully enabler excuse of a teacher – Miguel made sure to inform both Leppey and Master Fu about Ms. Bustier fifteen years ago during the first months of training – it's only a matter of time before she lapses back into her old habits. And because he wanted to get back at her for the things that she put Marinette through in the original timeline as the bully enabling teacher of Francoise Dupont, including not punishing Chloe's primary timeline counterpart for being a bad girl, choosing to neglect the evidence of Lila Rossi's lies and unfairly accusing Marinette of cheating on a mock exam without evidence, even though the mock exam doesn't really affect a student's grade as much as a real exam does.
Of course, even Ivan and Alix didn't know who put the sign on Ms. Bustier's back that said, "I'm a dork, kick me!"
But then, Ivan and Alix realized that if Ms. Bustier's pranking tormentor was able to easily prank their teacher as discreetly and as stealthily as possible without even being seen by security or anyone else, without being seen by the security cameras, without being mentioned in passing, and without being heard in the dead of night, they might have been targeted next.
So, Ivan and Alix reached onto the backs of their shirts just to be sure, and BOOM! They had "Kick me" signs on their backs as well.
But Alix's sign had also said, "I'm a dorky, fluffy rabbit tail. Kick me and give me a carrot to grow to six feet in height."
Miguel even took the time to prank Alix Kubdel again, knowing that even if she became Bunnyx in the new future of the Quantic Multiverse – which was highly unlikely – there's no way she'd be able to retaliate due to Miguel having grown up in his dimension watching all sorts of pranks on TV and on the internet, sans the ones that are extremely painful and the ones that disgust him to the point of puking, even though he already knows how to best prepare for them in case he feels like someone would be bound to use one of those pranks on him at some point in the near-future. And there would also be no way for Bunnyx to pull a prank on Steel Butterfly without him knowing about it due to his superhuman enhanced senses of danger and his voice-activated precognition.
Taking the taped "Kick me" sign off her back, Alix bemoans with a hint of annoyance, "Come on! That's quite literally one of the oldest tricks in the book! And seriously? 'I'm a dorky, fluffy rabbit tail. Kick me and give me a carrot to grow to six feet in height?' What on Earth does that even mean?!"
Ms. Bustier face palmed, knowing that there's no hope of finding the culprit behind these ridiculous and quite frankly old pranks.
Watching from his camouflaged cameras connected to his primary lair, Miguel was laughing hysterically knowing that he pranked soon-to-be former Bunnyx again.
Meanwhile, in the hotel's main hall, Chloe and Adrien were making small talk.
Marinette, Alya and Aiden – one of Miguel's counterparts from the new multiverse with a different version of the Crow Miraculous, one that is called the Blackbird Miraculous and has the same powers and abilities as Majestia, Techno-Pirate, different fanfiction versions of Ladybug, superhero versions of Scarlet Moth and Shadow Moth, Cosmo Bug, Superman, and the various hosts of the Ghost Rider – were waiting for Mayor Bourgeois to tell them their assigned jobs for the field trip.
Ms. Bustier asks Mayor Bourgeois, "Do you have Aiden, Marinette and Alya on your list, Mr. Bourgeois?"
The slightly above physically fit mayor of Paris looks at the list and answers, "It sure looks like it."
After getting out his reading glasses so he can see a bit better, Mayor Bourgeois explains, "Alya's going to be... working the security cameras. And Marinette will be our... gofer."
Marinette replies, "Well, I am able to handle errands pretty well thanks to my delivery girl status at my parents' bakery."
Then, just as Mayor Bourgeois is about to announce what Aiden will be doing, the door to the hall opens.
The rock star Jagged Stone walks into the main hall with Penny Rolling covering his rear and with Fang being walked by Jagged himself.
Chloe exclaims, "Wow!"
Marinette starts to remark, "Hey! That's..."
Aiden finishes, "...THE Jagged Stone."
Mayor Bourgeois starts to say, "Excuse me, but this is a luxury hotel, not a—"
But he doesn't finish as Fang growls at him threateningly.
Chloe whispers into her father's ear, "Daddy, that's Jagged Stone, the famous rock star. He's sold millions of albums, he's very famous, and he's very rich."
Mayor Bourgeois reiterates, "Mr. Stone, sorry for being a tad rude. Welcome to the Grand Paris Hotel. I'm Mayor Andre Bourgeois, the owner of this hotel. How might we serve you?"
Jagged replies, "How do you think, Mr. Mayor? I didn't just come here to admire your lobby, as rock 'n' roll as it appears."
Penny explains, "Jagged would like to check into your most luxurious suite."
Jagged adds with a clarification, "And my pet crocodile, Fang, needs a real bathtub, not a tiny water hole like the one in that hotel across the street."
Mayor Bourgeois replies, "Well, rest assured, your crocodile will be pleased to know that we have everything the three of you will need during your stay. Even actual clean bathtubs. The custodians always make sure that the bathtubs are clean, and they always make sure that the wax surrounding the bathtubs doesn't start peeling. Ahem. Would Fang like to enjoy a bubble bath?"
Jagged replies sternly with a cool head, "Absolutely not. Crocodiles don't like bubble baths. That dries their scales out."
Aiden then states, "Mr. Mayor, if I may? The reason why Jagged has a domesticated crocodile is because Jagged is allergic to animal hair, especially when it comes to the likes of cat fur and dog hair. Jagged has known about this ever since he was approximately five years old. Am I right, sir?"
Jagged answers with a smile, "Yes, young man, that is absolutely correct."
Vincent Aza quietly enters the hotel.
Fang sees him and follows him.
Aiden notices and says, "Um, Mr. Stone, I think Fang has spotted an intruder."
Marinette, Alya, Chloe, Adrien, Mayor Bourgeois, Ms. Bustier, Jagged and Penny look at where Aiden is looking.
Vincent ducks in time, having failed to take some of the photos he wanted without asking for permission.
Fang snarls at Vincent, and he starts to whimper as he backs away in fear, thusly exposing his presence.
Jagged bemoans, "Oh, no. Not him again."
Aiden points out matter-of-factly, "No offense, but if you must know, even musicians tend to get at least one crazy stalker fanboy every now and then."
Even though Jagged wouldn't admit it for now, he knew that Aiden was right about crazy stalker fanboys, and Vincent Aza was a prominent example.
Vincent asks excitedly, "Remember me, Mr. Stone? Vincent Aza. Just one photo to show everyone in the world that we're best buds. Come on, please! I'm your biggest fan!"
Jagged replies tiredly, "I know, you've been to my last thirty-six shows. But we are not friends."
But Vincent doesn't listen and before he can try to force a photo without permission, Aiden overpowers him with the same maneuver that Black Widow used in Iron Man 2 against Happy Hogan.
Vincent cries out in pain as he feels his arm being painfully stretched in an armlock with Aiden's legs forcefully holding on to apply more painful pressure.
Everyone was stunned silent at the whole thing.
Aiden snarls, "If you think that trying to get a photo of your favorite celebrity without permission is the way to cement a friendship, you're sadly mistaken and you're sadly f****** delusional. Attempting to take a picture of your favorite celebrity outside of their public affairs and inside their private lives is one step closer to getting yourself a restraining order, in addition to having your job and your numerous cameras taken away PERMANENTLY. Should you choose to ignore a restraining order, you'll be forced to spend time in prison. Heed my warning, scumbag. If I see you anywhere near Jagged again to signify to me that you chose to ignore my only warning, I'll be sure to ask Dragon Butterfly to feed you to the most savage animals he could find! And believe me, you most certainly don't want to see the angry face of God on Judgment Day, now do you?"
Vincent whimpered in pain before finally saying, "...No."
Aiden releases Vincent and finishes in a threatening tone, "This is your only warning. If Penny or I see you harassing Jagged in here again just because you want to be friends with him without ever knowing the true meaning of being a friend to someone, Judgment Day will come for you thousands of years early."
Vincent walks away in shame and in fear of Aiden's voice turning demonic.
Noticing that his camera was missing, Vincent looks back at Aiden crushing the whole thing in his hands without suffering any lacerations from the plastic, metal and glass of the camera.
Vincent continues walking away, and the expression on his face signifies that even though he's somewhat aware of the consequences of his actions, he still wants a photo of Jagged Stone, signaling to Aiden that he was right about Vincent being a crazy stalker fanboy who happens to be a tad delusional.
From his perch on the rooftop of the hotel, Steel Butterfly said to himself, "Vincent Aza and many others like him never learn their lessons, and they don't even care about the consequences of their actions, especially if reality were to hit them very hard in the face. Well, it definitely looks like I'm gonna need a distortion to teach Pixelator a hard lesson. And if that doesn't work permanently... woe betide those like Vincent Aza who don't respect the wishes and privacies of their favorite celebrities."
Steel Butterfly creates a Tenshi and says, "Fly away, my little Tenshi, and find a true Distortion."
The Tenshi makes its way throughout Paris to find the nearest positive emotion to amplify and Tenshize that person feeling the emotion into one of Steel Butterfly's newest heroes.
The Tenshi found a humble concert and pet photographer by the name of Norbert Carbonneau, who is the complete opposite of Vincent in terms of being respectful towards the wishes of his favorite celebrities and knows a thing or two about boundaries.
The Tenshi notices Norbert's joyfulness as he looks over the various pictures he took with special permission and merges with his camera.
Steel Butterfly's disembodied voice states, "Distortion, I am Steel Butterfly. I need your help in deakumatizing the narcissistic photographer Vincent Aza, aka Pixelator. Pretty soon, he's going to try to forcefully imprison Jagged Stone in a picture frame forever after being thrown out of the Grand Paris Hotel for harassing Jagged yet again."
Norbert asks, "How can I help against this Pixelator?"
Steel Butterfly explains, "Well, Pixelator's powers include Pixel Generation and Picture Imprisonment. Here's how it works: Pixelator takes a picture with the camera over his left eye, and he can see through it pretty good. Once the button to take a picture is pressed, a light blue ray of pixels is shot out of the camera. Once the ray of pixels impacts a person or an animal, the pixels surround them, only to disperse and reform the victims into a white-colored world inside of a picture frame. The pictures in question are shown on Pixelator's wall in his room at his apartment, and they can easily move and be seen moving from the real world. The victims inside the pictures can see each other, but unfortunately, they can't get to each other. And when a person from the real world looks at the picture, a screen of them appears in the picture world for the trapped targets to see and talk to. BUT, you must be careful because even if Pixelator takes a picture of only one of your body parts, the photographed body part is instantly pixelated and becomes intangible, thus leaving you handicapped. So, Distortion, do we have a deal?"
Norbert/Distortion replies, "We sure do have a deal. Sign me up!"
Norbert is transformed by the Tenshi into Distortion, an armored heroic opposite of Pixelator in opposite colors of white, orange, forest green, dark blue, and burgundy red.
Distortion went on his way to rendezvous with Steel Butterfly.
Meanwhile, in Hawk Moth's lair, the window opens as Hawk Moth remarks, "I can sense the brewing anger and frustration from here. The perfect father for my evil little akumas. It won't be long now." Hawk Moth transforms another butterfly into an Akuma and finishes, "Fly away, my little akuma, and Akumatize him!"
The Akuma is sent on its way to Vincent.
Vincent is strutting angrily down the streets of Paris, not happy at all for being denied his photo with Jagged Stone.
Suddenly, the Akuma enters his secondary camera and establishes the connection between Vincent and Hawk Moth.
Hawk Moth's disembodied voice says, "Pixelator, I am Hawk Moth. I'm giving you the power to capture your hero's smile, forever. But in return, you must do some capturing for me as well."
Vincent/Pixelator replies, "Yes, Hawk Moth."
Vincent is transformed by the Akuma into Pixelator.
Meanwhile, in the Grand Paris Hotel, Jagged Stone, Fang and Penny go into the elevator.
Ms. Bustier is keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, just in case someone pranks her again.
Suddenly, as Ms. Bustier turns to face the elevator, she feels someone tickling her sides.
Ms. Bustier gasped in shock at the tickling touch and turns around, only to find no one there.
With a fixed scowl on her face, Ms. Bustier searches everywhere she can for whoever tried to tickle her.
Unfortunately, whoever did it was long gone.
And Ms. Bustier didn't even think to check the ceiling or any other place where the intruder could be hiding.
Meanwhile, in a luxurious suite, Jagged Stone plays with Fang as Penny says, "Mr. Stone is going to need a new pair of shades for tonight's gig. Red, white and blue with two large Eiffel Towers on them. Can you get that for him?"
Marinette replies, "Of course. But the problem is, I'd have to make them myself because, from what I've seen with vendors, the glasses that Jagged needs are not available for sale."
Penny raises an eyebrow and replies back, "I see. Well, Marinette, you must be able to get Mr. Stone his glasses ASAP."
Marinette nods and speeds off to her parents' bakery so she can go to her bedroom to find an old pair of glasses to use.
In her bedroom, Marinette is rummaging for an old pair of sunglasses.
Marinette asks, "Where did I put them... OH!"
She gets out an old pair of shades and exclaims, "Voila!"
Tikki argues, "But they're pink."
Marinette replies, "They won't be when I'm done with them. This is either gonna be the most amazing pair or the ugliest pair of shades in shades history. Ms. Bustier is grading me on effort, right?"
Tikki states, "Don't worry, I'm sure Jagged Stone will love them!"
Marinette begins her improvisational work by taking the lenses out of the sunglasses, and the lenses are sent flying as they knock into Tikki's chest, sending her flying before she gets control back.
Tikki finishes a bit hoarsely, "...Or hate them."
But a simple glare from Marinette was all she needed to tell Tikki to stay quiet for the time being and let her owner work.
Meanwhile, Pixelator goes to the hotel.
The worker asks, "Excuse me, sir. Can I help you?"
Pixelator prepares to press the button on his eye camera as he says, "Look into the lens..."
Kim and the worker look into the lens with smiles on their faces and holding up peace signs.
Pixelator zaps them and digitizes them.
Pixelator croons, "Photo finished."
Pixelator goes into the hotel.
As Pixelator walks in the main hall, Chloe remarks, "Oh, look what the cat dragged in. If I didn't know any better, I'd have sworn he was an Akumatized villain."
Adrien replies quietly, "I think he is an Akumatized villain."
Chloe states, "Let me handle this, Adrien. Watch and learn."
Chloe goes to where Pixelator is.
Chloe states, "Excuse me... Excuse me! You can't be a guest here at this hotel. My father allows the most important celebrities, including Jagged Stone. And pretty much anyone who has the blessing of enough money to afford a stay in one of the rooms here."
Adrien looks on in worry.
Pixelator replies, "Well then, I am Pixelator. Your number one fan."
Chloe asks, "Moi? Yeah right. I don't believe that for a second."
Pixelator replies, "I'll prove it with a photo of you, sweet miss..."
Chloe poses, and she gets digitized while Adrien quietly watches in horror.
Chloe reforms in the picture world and asks, "What just happened? Adrien? Oh wait!"
Chloe gets out her phone and tries to dial her father's phone number, only to discover there's no cell phone reception.
After a few more tries, Chloe deduces, "I've been digitized into a digital world where there's no cellphone reception! Oh, how could I have been so stupid?"
Meanwhile, Marinette is in the lobby looking for Chloe and Adrien.
Adrien pops up and says, "Marinette! Thank goodness you're okay!"
Marinette asks, "What happened?"
Adrien went into an explanation of what happened, and Marinette replied that she'll get Jagged Stone's glasses to her while Cat Noir runs interference to take down Pixelator.
Steel Butterfly turns up and says, "No need. I got my newest champion working on taking down Pixelator."
Marinette and Adrien ask in unison, "Who's your newest Tenshized champion?" "Who's your newest Tenshized champion?"
Steel Butterfly's faceplate forms an evil smile.
Meanwhile, in the hallway, Pixelator opens the door to a room, thinking that Jagged Stone is inside.
But to his frustration, Alec Cataldi is in the room.
Of course, that doesn't stop Pixelator from digitizing Alec.
Meanwhile, Marinette gives the shades to Penny.
Penny states in a relieved tone, "I'll give them to Mr. Stone personally."
Marinette asks suspiciously, "Can't you deliver them to him now?"
Penny replies back with hesitation, "He's... resting."
Jagged Stone is shown in the bathroom, giving Fang a bubble-free bath, holding true to his claim that crocodiles don't like bubble baths.
Jagged states, "Now who likes having his belly scratched? Daddy's little Fang!"
An invisible Steel Butterfly sticks his tongue out at Fang and Jagged Stone.
Marinette states, "Okay, no problem. Ta ta."
Marinette leaves for the elevator as quickly as possible before Pixelator can see her.
Marinette watches in horror as Pixelator digitizes Penny.
Marinette closes the elevator doors, thankfully unaware that her transformations can't be filmed, and calls out, "Tikki, Spots On!"
Steel Butterfly hides himself on the ceiling of Jagged Stone's roof as Pixelator comes in.
Pixelator says, "Hey there! Time for your photoshoot!"
Jagged whirls around to see Pixelator.
Jagged asks, "How did you get in here? I don't know about any photos. Oh well. Fang, attack!"
Fang rolls over onto his back like a stupid dog asking for a belly rub instead of doing what they're supposed to do when asked or ordered.
Steel Butterfly quietly face palms at the stupidity.
Pixelator remarks, "See you later, alligator."
Distortion redirects Pixelator's blast to a mirror where the digitizing blast is about to hit Pixelator, but he dodges it and the digitizing blast hits the mirror again, turning it into pixels this time.
Distortion croons, "In a while, crocodile! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Cat Knight, Steel Butterfly and Ladybug fly into the room.
Pixelator remarks, "So, you're Steel Butterfly, Ladybug, Cat Knight and a Tenshized superhero. I'm guessing you're a distortion of some sort?"
Distortion replies, "I AM Distortion, mister. Prepare to have your photo taken at a specific angle."
Distortion tries to digitize Pixelator, but he misses as Pixelator dodges the digitizing blast.
Pixelator tries to digitize any of the four heroes, only to miss as Steel Butterfly threw a flash bang grenade at the Akumatized delusional photographer.
Taking advantage, the four heroes pick up Jagged and fly out of the hotel.
Pixelator bemoans, "UGH! Where did they go?"
Hawk Moth states, "If you want Jagged, you must find Ladybug, Steel Butterfly, Cat Knight and Distortion."
Pixelator replies, "I don't have time to deal with those four heroes!"
Hawk Moth retorts, "Yes, you do. Plenty of time."
Hawk Moth clenches his fist, and his body control power starts to strangle Pixelator to keep him on task.
Running out of air, Pixelator cries out, "Okay, okay! I'll deal with them! Tell me what to do."
Hawk Moth releases his control over Pixelator's strangulation and explains, "I demand an excellent photograph of Steel Butterfly, Ladybug, and Cat Knight with their Miraculouses. I want those powers that their jewels have, so listen carefully."
Meanwhile, in Principal Damocles' office at Francoise Dupont, Jagged Stone protests, "I can't stay here. I'm performing tonight."
Steel Butterfly points out matter-of-factly, "As long as that schmuck Vincent Aza is under Hawk Moth's control, one zap from Pixelator's eye camera can easily cancel your concert tonight. But don't worry; we got it covered."
Cat Knight adds, "Yeah, and no one will think to look for you here."
Principal Damocles asks, "Hmm. Steel Butterfly, is this safe? This is a school."
Steel Butterfly replies, "Until Vincent Aza is deakumatized and given a firm reality check, we'll have to make do with what resources and hiding places we have at our disposal, Damocles."
Jagged bemoans, "This is just absolutely ridiculous. I don't have time for this. First I practically get hijacked by this crazed fan, and then I'm attacked by the same guy as a super weirdo, then..."
Ladybug asks, "Wait. Steel B, what do you know about this crazed fan, Vincent Aza?"
SB answered, "Well, Vincent self-proclaims himself to be Jagged's biggest fan, and he is always trying to prove to the world through photography that he and Jagged are friends despite Jagged's firm protests and pointers about how they're not friends. But of course, Vincent doesn't listen and he's so delusional, one would think he's a narcissist."
Jagged adds, "Yes, not only that, but he's also come to every one of my shows this year, sent me stacks of letters, gone through my trash, and he even followed my mother to her weekly bingo night!"
SB remarked while clarifying, "That's creepy. And no, Jagged, I'm not talking about the bingo games your mother attends, even though the thought of old ladies getting together to have fun somewhat makes me shudder."
Jagged keeps quiet, knowing that Steel Butterfly was right in making a clarification.
Ladybug looks up Vincent Aza's number and finds his address.
Ladybug announces, "I got his address."
As the heroes start to leave the room, Jagged asks, "You're not gonna leave me here alone, are you?"
Principal Damocles asks, "Hmm?"
Steel Butterfly replies, "We can't risk Pixelator digitizing you until we can figure out how to use his powers against him."
The four heroes leave without much hassle, and Steel Butterfly leads the fliers to the Champs-Elysees to confront Pixelator directly.
Cat Noir joins them in transit, having denied Steel Butterfly's order to sit this one out and showing for the first time that Cat Noir doesn't like being told what to do.
Steel Butterfly teleports Cat Noir back to the hotel, forcefully transforms him back to normal and erases part of his memory, thusly showing that Steel Butterfly somewhat acts like a villain in terms of his responses to those who disobey his orders.
Meanwhile, Pixelator arrives at the Champs-Elysees looking for Jagged Stone again.
Clones of Steel Butterfly, Ladybug, Cat Knight and Distortion arrive to fight Pixelator.
Despite the sheer numbers, Pixelator comes out on top.
Suddenly, the world plays in slow motion as Steel Butterfly, Ladybug, Cat Knight and Distortion arrive.
Despite moving in slow motion, Pixelator manages to give Cat Knight a heck of a fight.
But Cat Knight manages to restrain Pixelator long enough for Distortion to work his magic.
Distortion uses his powers on Pixelator's camera, and the anti-digitizing beam returns Pixelator's victims to their normal places and Cat Knight uses her clawed hands to destroy the camera visor.
Steel Butterfly purifies the Akuma and Ladybug uses her Miraculous Ladybug to fix the damages.
In Hawk Moth's lair, Hawk Moth sneers, "I assure you, the next time around, it won't be a photo finish! I won't stop, Steel Butterfly! I'll destroy you!"
Steel Butterfly's demonic voice rang out like he was throwing it in a specific direction, "Oh please! Destroy me? That's what alien robot villains say because they can easily destroy their heroic counterparts if their heroic counterparts are made of shoddy metal. Try something original, would ya?"
Hawk Moth's window closes before he could offer a retort.
Meanwhile, in the Grand Paris Hotel, Ms. Bustier says, "Thank you very much for this work experience field trip day, Mr. Bourgeois. I'm sure we'll all remember it for a long time to come."
Aiden mutters under his breath, "If you forget to take into account Alzheimer's and dementia in old age and people being forgetful in the future."
Ms. Bustier looks at Aiden with a raised eyebrow, almost as if she nearly heard what he said.
Aiden remained stoic-faced when he saw Ms. Bustier's expression.
Mayor Bourgeois states in response, "So am I. Oh, wait, before I forget. Jagged Stone's giving a concert tonight, so I'm giving tickets to the students who demonstrated the best efforts today."
Penny gives tickets to Marinette, Adrien, Alya, Aiden, and Chloe. Most especially because despite Pixelator's attack, Chloe did exceptionally well.
Meanwhile, at Jagged Stone's concert, Jagged Stone says, "Good evening, Paris!"
As everyone cheers, Adrien turns to Marinette and says, "This is the first ever live concert I've attended! It's amazing!"
Marinette grinned as she replies, "I'm glad you like it, because as it so happens, so do I!"
Marinette and Adrien peck each other on the lips as Jagged announces, "I'd like to dedicate this song to the girl and her kind mentor who did their parts to help save my life. This one's for you, Ladybug. And this one's for you, Steel Butterfly."
Jagged Stone plays the song that's dedicated to Ladybug and Steel Butterfly, much to Marinette's surprise.
Once the concert ends, Steel Butterfly appears and shakes hands with Jagged, causing everyone to have an enormous uproar of cheering and applause.
Steel Butterfly flies off into the night sky with the Superman theme blasting on his radio drones as they vanish from sight, completely blended into the night sky.
The next day, another Akumatized villain appears: Algernon Charbonnier, aka Spirit Conjurer, a supervillain with the ability to conjure spirits from both mythological gods and dead people, in addition to the ability to summon demonic spirits.
Cat Knight took care of it, if only because she has the ability to eradicate demonic spirits thanks to her normal Cataclysm and her controlled forms of her Mega Cataclysm being able to eradicate even spirits.
She also used her own Lucky Charms and her own Miraculous Ladybug cure called the Miraculous Cat Knight cure.
Once Steel Butterfly, Ladybug and Cat Noir arrived, they could see that Cat Knight took care of the problem as Algernon was already deakumatized.
That night during patrol, Steel Butterfly, Lion Hunter, Blueclaw, Rhinocharge, Corvo and Cat Knight informed Ladybug and Cat Noir about the next Akumatization to avert: Alix Kubdel, aka former Bunnyx in her first Akumatized form of Timebreaker.
Steel Butterfly explained that when Bunnyx got trapped by Timetagger in ancient Egypt – most especially because of Future Cat Noir accidentally using Cataclysm on the Rabbit Miraculous – Bunnyx was encased in stone while the events surrounding that ensured that the other Rabbit Miraculous would be in the possession of the Kubdel family's ancestors to be passed down to the youngest child on their fifteenth birthday. And the moment that Alix learns anything related to her future self's location via a clue from a riddle and the Rabbit Miraculous' magical hologram projectors, then Steel Butterfly's work and Master Fu's work will become undone PERMANENTLY, even though Steel Butterfly and his crew left out the detail of the Great Guardian's name.
So, Steel Butterfly, Cat Knight, Corvo, Ladybug and Cat Noir created a non-magical replica of the Rabbit Miraculous with the same working hologram projectors – but without the lady explaining the riddle clue – and they took the actual Rabbit Miraculous in the possession of Alim Kubdel while him and Alix were asleep, wherein Steel Butterfly gleefully and demonically crushed and disintegrated the wretched pocket watch in his own bare armored hands!
The heroes quietly applauded as Steel Butterfly quietly announced, "Now we are one step closer to ensuring that Bunnyx ceases to exist permanently. But we must be vigilant, for if our efforts on Heroes' Day to arrest Hawk Moth and Catalyst/Mayura go to waste, Lila Rossi will become Future Hawk Moth, Timetagger will come to be, and Bunnyx will literally undo everything that the Great Guardian and I have worked towards! But with your help and with the help of the temporary heroes I intend to recruit, we won't lose."
The Heroes of Paris left on a good note, and all the while, Steel Butterfly triple-checked to make sure that nobody was watching, recording, filming or eavesdropping on anything that happened.
And so far, nobody was there, but even Steel Butterfly could only be so careful.
Once Steel Butterfly went home, he detransformed to have dinner, waited another thirty minutes, showered, and went to bed with Leppey by his bedside.
The End.
(Author's notes: There you have it, folks. And yes, I had to give part of the spotlight to Cat Knight since she needed a chance to use her own powers in an akuma attack.
Also, yes, I did have Steel Butterfly destroy the Rabbit Miraculous in the possession of the Kubdel family so as to initiate the next stage of stopping Bunnyx from coming into existence. If you're new to my story, go back to the first eight chapters for my story to find out why I hate Bunnyx.
Lastly, because of Steel Butterfly's actions, and because of his foreknowledge, Alix Kubdel's Akumatization into Timebreaker will be completely averted.
See you in chapter 10.)
