There was a loud scream, making Mal, Ben, Evie, and Uma run toward where it was coming from. They burst into the room to see Dizzy standing there with a ginormous smile on her face. They all sighed in relief when they saw that she was fine.
"Dizzy," Evie said as she walked up to the redhead. "We need to work on your squealing."
"Sorry," Dizzy said as she covered her mouth. "I just can't believe that we are here. We are in Auradon."
"Well, I would like to be the first to say welcome to Auradon, Dizzy," Ben said as he bowed to the excited teen.
"Thank you, Prince Ben," she said excitedly, before she ran to give him a hug.
He was surprised at first, but thought it was endearing and sweet.
"Sorry, Ben," Evie said as she walked up and placed a hand on Dizzy's shoulder. "She's a hugger."
"So, is Ben," Mal said, making everyone chuckle.
"It's okay," Ben said as he took a step to the side and snaked his arm around Mal's waist. "And there is nothing wrong with being a hugger," he said as he pulled her close to his chest.
"You guys are so cute that I may actually barf," Uma said as she flopped onto the chair that was next to the balcony.
"Thank you," Ben and Mal said, making the three girls laugh.
They didn't care if they were being mushy or cute. They were happy together, and they couldn't wait to get married.
"Come on," Mal said as she held her hands out in frustration. "It's not that hard to keep ingredients in a bowl."
"Well, apparently it is," Ben said as he continued to stir the mixture in a large bowl, and spilled some out every time he went around the bowl.
"Just do it like this," she said as he put her hands over his and guided him. "Slowly. You have to do it slowly so you don't spill everything."
He smiled down at her as she continued to look down at the bowl. He couldn't help but be happy. He hadn't been this happy since he was little and he and his friends would play around the castle.
"This is nice," he said, making her look up to meet his eyes. "Spending time together, and not being worried about anything else."
"Yeah," she said as she smiled at him. "It's really nice."
"Are you still nervous?" He asked as he moved his hands away from the bowl, and held hers. "I mean about the wedding and becoming queen."
"I am better," she said as she looked up at him. "I was nervous, but after talking about it with you, my parents, and your parents I think I am going to be fine."
"Good," he said as he kissed her forehead. "I know you are going to do amazing things, and I will be by your side everyday and for everything."
"Thank you," she said as she looked up and saw he had some flour on the side of his nose. "Hold still," she said, moving her hand up to brush the flour off his nose. "You had something on your nose."
"Can't take me anywhere, I guess," he joked, making her laugh. "Can I kiss you?" He asked as he looked down at her lips.
"Why are you asking?" She asked.
"I… I don't really know," he said as he chuckled. "Maybe to be a gentleman."
"You're such a dork," she said with a laugh.
"So, is that a no?" He asked as he tilted his head to the side.
She shook her head. "Yes," she told him. "You can kiss me."
He smiled before he caressed the side of her face with his hand. He brought her face to his, and connected their lips. Her lips were soft, plump, and warm. He loved kissing her, and was happy that he was going to be able to for the rest of his life. She placed her hands on his chest as he deepened their kiss.
"Okay, Benny," Ryder said as he, Aziz, Chip, Doug, Chad, Jay, and Carlos walked into the kitchen, making Ben and Mal break apart. "Woah, sorry."
Ben threw his head back, after hearing that his friends walked into the kitchen. He looked back down at Mal, and saw her lightly laughing. He slightly shook his head, before turning towards his friends.
"Hey, guys," he said as he kept one hand on Mal's back. "You have… impeccable timing."
"Do you want us to come back?" Chip asked as he thumbed to the door and smirked at the two.
"It's fine," Chad said as he walked over and stuck his finger in the uncooked cookie dough. "I don't think Mal would mind if we steal Ben. I mean she gets him for the rest of her life, we can take him for a couple of days."
"A couple of days?" Mal asked.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ben asked.
"You know there is this thing called a bachelor party?" Aziz asked as he walked over and wrapped his arm around Ben's shoulder. "It happens before a guy gets married. He goes out, has fun with his friends, gets drunk, makes stupid decisions."
"Those typically happen like a week before the wedding," Ben said. "We aren't getting married for three weeks. I can't go now. I have so much to do. Evie has to finish our fittings, Mal's parents want to talk with us, I have to finish some things for the wedding, and I am not leaving Mal alone to finalize everything."
Jay and Carlos looked at Ben with smiles. They liked that he was not putting himself and his wants and needs before Mal. They truly liked him, and were happy that he and Mal were getting married. They seemed great together, and genuinely happy. That's all they wanted for their sister.
"She'll be fine," Chad said. "She is a princess," he said as he rolled his eyes. "If she can't handle simple wedding tasks, how is she going to handle being queen?" He asked as he looked up to meet Mal's eyes.
"She can handle anything," Carlos said, making everyone look at him. "Mal is amazing, and she can handle anything that comes her way," he said as he glared at Chad.
It was safe to say that Chad was not one of Mal's friends' favorite people. The first time they all met, almost a week ago, they knew Chad was going to be a problem.
"Listen, blondie," Jay said as he walked over to Chad and looked down at him. "You don't know Mal," he hissed. "If you…"
"Jay, stop," Mal said, cutting Jay off.
Jay looked at her before nodding his head.
"Chad, I have been very nice to you, but like I said on the nice of our engagement party, dont fuck with me," she said with a glare and making her eyes glow.
"Look!" He said as he pointed to her. "She's trying to kill me!"
Everyone looked at Mal while her eyes were still glowing. None of them were scared because they had seen them before. They were just surprised to see Mal standing up to Chad in front of them.
"She's not trying to kill you," Ben said as he snaked his arm around Mal's waist. "But, you're being a fucking prick, and I talked to you about that months ago."
"You're going to say she is not trying to kill me when she makes her eyes glow?!" Chad exclaimed.
"She does that when she's pissed," Ben said. "She did it to me when that fucking article came out."
"She does it when she's hungry," Carlos asked.
"She does it when she is cranky," Jay said with a chuckle.
"And she does it when you wake her up from her naps too," Hades said as he walked into the kitchen.
"Hi, dad," Mal said as she stopped making her eyes glow and smiled up at him.
She walked over and gave her dad a hug, and then looked back up at him.
"Hi, baby," he said. "I was wondering if your mom and I can borrow you and my son-in-law for a moment?"
"Is now a good time to talk with my parents?" She asked as she looked over at Ben.
"Yeah," he said as he smiled at her. "Let's go."
He walked over, taking Mal's hand and leaving with her and her dad. Jay, Carlos, and the rest of Ben's friends turned to Chad.
"What?" he asked with a shrug.
"What do you mean?" Doug said. "You need to quit your shit."
"What's Chad doing now?" Jane asked as she walked into the kitchen with Evie, Uma, Lonnie, and Dizzy.
"I'm not…"
"He's being a prick to Mal again," Chip said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Okay," Uma said as she walked up to Chad and looked up at him. "Listen and listen good," she said as she jabbed him in the chest. "I didn't like you the minute I met you, but if you continue this shit with Mal," she said as she glared at him. "You are not going to be dealing me Ben, or Hades, or Jay, or Carlos, or engine else," she told him, making him furrow his brows. "You'll be dealing with me. I'm not nice in the slightest."
"And what are you going to do?" He asked with a smirk on his face. "Splash me, octogirl?"
He started to laugh at his own joke, making Uma shake her head. Everyone hated Chad's attitude, and someone needed to put him in his place that wasn't Ben or Mal.
"Chad…" Doug started, but stopped when Uma pulled her fist back and punched Chad in his face.
"Ow!" Chad yelled as he held his nose. "What the fuck?"
"Dont fuck with Mal anymore," Uma said as she glared down at him. "You may have forgotten who my family is, but let me give you a reminder," she said as she fisted his hair in her hands. "I am Uma, daughter of Ursula, granddaughter of Poseidon, the niece of Zeus and Hades, and you do not want to fuck with the descendants of the big three."
The girls left, leaving the guys standing in the kitchen looking at Chad.
"You were warned before," Chip said as he clasped Chad in the shoulder. "Maybe now you'll finally live up to your family name."
They all followed Chip out of the kitchen, and left Chad there by himself. He was pissed. His friends were not backing him up, Ben was threatening him, and letting Mal use her magic to threaten him. He couldn't believe it. He had to do something, but he didn't know what to do. He couldn't do it soon, but he needed to think of something to either get rid of Mal, or Mal and Ben.
On the other side of the castle, in the garden, Hades, Ben, and Mal walked out to see Maleficent healing one of Belle's rose bushes.
"My mother will be very happy to see that," Ben said, making Maleficent turn to face them.
She smiled before standing up straight. "It is nothing," she said. "Mal and I are alike when it comes to plants."
"Yep," Mal said as she smiled at her mom. "No matter what color. No matter how tall. A flower is precious for one and all."
She walked over and raised her hand to make the roses bloom more than they already were. She loved making plants and flowers even more beautiful, it was one of her favorite things to do.
"What did you want to talk to us about?" Ben asked as he walked over to the small table.
"So," Hades said as he followed Ben and sat down in one of the chairs. "You two are going to need wedding bands," he said.
Mal and Maleficent walked over and sat with Ben and Hades, before joining the conversation.
"Ben, mentioned that he was going to have the royal jeweler…"
"No," Hades said as he held his hand up. "You mother and I are going to be making your rings."
"What?" Ben and Mal said at the same time.
"You want to make our rings?" Ben asked.
"Yes," Maleficent said. "Hades and I would love to have the pleasure of making your rings. I would like to make Mal's with Ben's help. And Hades would like to make Ben's with Mal's help."
"Wow," Mal said. "We were just going to go with the royal jeweler, but if you want to, I would love that," she finished with a smile.
"We want your rings to be special," Hades said. "I know that the royal jeweler would be nice, but we feel that because Ben gave you Belle's engagement ring," he said as he nudged his head to Mal's hand. "We would like to make your rings just as special."
"What did you have in mind?" Ben asked.
"That is where we separate," Maleficent said as she stood from her seat. "Why don't we go and discuss what you would like the ring to look like, Ben."
Ben stood from his seat, kissed Mal's cheek, before offering Maleficent his arm and walking back into the castle with her.
"Okay," Hades said once they were out of ear shot. "What would you like Ben's ring to look like?"
"I'm not sure," Mal said as she looked at her dad. "I do want it to be special, but I have no idea where to start."
"What about a glow ring?" Hades asked.
"What do you mean a glow ring?"
"I could make him a meteorite and quartz crystal ring," he said. "I could even make it a blue quartz crystal."
"That seems cool," Mal said as she smiled at her dad. "Would it look nice?" She asked. "I want his ring to look nice, sleek, and regal."
"Absolutely," Hades said with a smile.
"I just want it to be fit for a king," she said.
"Mally, he would wear a plastic ring if you were the one to give it to him," he said, making her smile. "I have seen your two interact, and I can tell that he is in love with you."
"You do?" She asked.
"Yes," he said. "And I can tell that you love him too."
"I do," Mal said. "I was never expecting this when you both told me I was going to be marrying him. I thought that he was going to hate me, and he did until I basically told him that if he messes with me he was going to feel my wrath."
"You're a feisty one, Mally," he said as he smiled at his daughter. "I am so proud of you, and I am happy that you are happy with him."
"Thank you, daddy," Mal said as she stood from her seat and hugged him.
He was genuinely happy for Mal. He was very skeptical about sending Mal to Auradon. In fact he almost didn't let her leave. He didn't know what was going to happen to her while she was gone, and he didn't know if she was going to need them. But he was happy that everything worked out for her, and that she was finally getting her happily ever after.
"So," Maleficent said as she and Ben walked into the library. "What did you have in mind for Mal's ring?" She asked as she sat down on the couch.
"I have been thinking about it a lot, actually," he said as he sat down next to her. "I gave Mal my mom's engagement ring, and that represents my mom, but I would like her band to represent you," he said.
"Me?" She asked as she looked at the young prince in surprise. "That is very unique."
"Thank you," he said as she smiled at her. "I remember playing next to the barrier with Audrey when I was younger," he told Maleficent. "I didn't know that my fiancé was just on the other side of it, but I remember there being these vines with thorns on them," he said.
"Ah," she said as she smiled at him. "I know the ones," she said. "I put those there so that Princess Audrey would not go further, because just beyond those thorns is a canal."
"You put them there to protect Audrey?" He asked.
"I did," Maleficent said with a nod. "The young princess may not like me, but I never wanted Aurora's daughter to get hurt."
Ben thought that it was sweet. Maleficent tried to keep Audrey safe, but it bugged him knowing that Audrey was awful to Mal.
"I know she is never going to like Mal, but envy is a dangerous little thing," she said. "If you let it fester in you, it will become you. I just hope that Aurora can teach Audrey that she is so much more than just a princess."
"She is, but I lost hope on her," Ben said. "She is not the same nice girl she was when she was 5. She is an adult who should know right from wrong."
"Correct," Maleficent said. "If she cannot see what is wrong then that is her problem. You are a wonderful young man, and I am pleased to have you become a part of my family."
"Thank you," Ben said. "I am very happy that you and my parents came up with this agreement. It has been the best thing to happen to me," he said with a kind smile.
"You love my daughter. Don't you?" She asked.
Ben looked up to meet her, meeting her glowing green eyes. "Yes," he said as he nodded his head. "I love her very much."
"Hold still," Evie said as she shook Jay's pant leg.
"You keep pricking me with the needles," he told her as he turned around to face her.
"And if you stop moving I may stop doing it on purpose," she said.
"You're doing it on purpose?" He asked in shock.
It was now a week before the wedding and everyone's heads were spinning. Mal was running around trying to make sure that everything was perfect, while Belle, Maleficent, Ben, Hades, and Evie were trying to get her to rest. She had been trying to make sure that everything went according to plan, but there was so much she could do that didn't run her ragged. But, today was the day Evie was hoping to be doing the final fittings for the suites, Mal's wedding dress, and the gowns for the bridesmaids and mothers. Everyone but Ben, Mal, Maleficent, and Belle were in Ben and Mal's soon to be new room for the fittings.
"I found her," Ben said as he walked into the room with Mal over his shoulder and their mothers behind him.
"More like he stole me from finalizing the seating chart," she said as he placed her on her feet.
"We have been over the chart about 50 times," he said as he looked down at her. "What more do you think we could do about it?"
"Cut the guest list in half, uninvite people who are rude, elope," she said as she started to count on her fingers. "The possibilities are endless. Plus, we still have to do the final measurements for our crowns, and I know there is something I am forgetting but I don't remember what it is."
Ben smiled, because he knew what she was forgetting, but he had thought of it and had it all covered.
"If we could elope, I would have suggested it before," he said as he turned her to face her friends. "But unfortunately, we are going to be king and queen. So, we have to do the whole shabang."
She groaned as she walked over to the couch and threw herself across, Chip, Carlos, and her dad. "Why do we have to be royal?"
"I'm sorry," Hades said as he stroked her hair. "It's not my fault that I'm a god."
"You're right," she said as she looked up at him. "I blame you, mom, and Ben."
Everyone in the room chuckled, besides Chad who stood in the corner of the room with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Okay," Evie said as she finished Ryder's fitting. "All I have left is Chad, Ben, and then Mal."
Chad came out of the bathroom wearing his suit. He walked up to Evie, stepped on the pedestal, and then turned to her.
"Don't poke me," he said, making her glare at him.
"Then don't piss me off," she said before she stuck him with a needle, making him jump a little.
The groomsmen suits were a bit different from Ben's, but not greatly different. They were all blue, but Evie made Ben's suite a dark midnight blue. It was an elegant tuxedo. It is impeccably tailored in pure wool. Evie really put her all into this suit with the one-button silhouette, the peak satin lapels, flap pockets and side vents.
"What do you think?" Ben asked as he turned to face Mal, his parents, and everyone else.
Mal didn't say anything, because she was trying to keep the lump down that was in her throat. She thought he looked really good, but that would be an understatement. She thought he looked really hot. The top two buttons were undone, making the top of his chest peek out from the top.
"You look very handsome," Belle said as she walked up and patted the lapels of his jacket.
"Thank you, mom," he said as he kissed her cheek.
"Great," Evie said as she clapped her hands. "Now, go change and leave. I am going to do Mal's dress next."
"Are all of you staying?" He asked as he shrugged off the jacket.
"Yes," Evie said as she pushed him toward the bedroom. "Now hurry."
A couple of minutes later, Ben walked out on a pair of jeans and a button up shirt.
"You know," he said as he walked over behind Mal and placed his hands on her shoulders. "I don't think it's fair that everyone else gets to see you in your dress and I don't."
"Oh, my dear sweet fiancé," she said as she looked up at him. "That is where you are very wrong. Not everyone here is going to see it."
"What?" he asked.
"Chad is going to be leaving too," she said as she looked over to him.
"And why am I surprised that I am being excluded too," he said as he squinted his eyes at her.
"That is because I do not trust you," she said. "If you were to see my dress, you would tell Ben or you would even take pictures to show him."
"Good idea," Ben said as he kissed Mal on the head. "But I am going to be taking all of the guys, including our dads."
"What?!" The other guys said.
"The groom has spoken," Belle said as she stood up and pointed to the door. "Out with the lot of you."
They guys stood up and groaned before leaving the room. The girls laughed before closing the door, and doing Mal's final fitting for her dress. They had so much to finalize before the wedding, or actually, before the bachelor and bachelorette parties in two days.
"It's done," Ben said as he leaned back into his office chair.
He was talking to Doug on the phone, and he was very happy. The wedding was tomorrow, and Ben was bouncing in his seat with excitement.
"I know that this…" but stopped when there was a knock on the door. "Hold on, Doug. Come in," he called.
Jay and Carlos walked in, making Ben look at them in confusion.
"Doug, I'll see you in a bit," he said before he hung up the phone. "Hey guys. What's up?"
"Nothing much," Carlos said as he walked over to the desk and sat on the edge of it. "Jay and I just wanted to talk to you."
Ben watched as Jay sat down in one of the chairs that was in front of his desk. He didn't know what was going on, but he had a hunch of what they wanted to talk about.
"Okay," he said as he leaned back in his chair and laced his fingers together. "I can only assume that you are complaining about something wrong in Auradon or I am getting the big brother talk."
"You're smart," Jay said as he smirked at Ben. "We are here for your big brother talk, even though one of us is younger than Mal," he said, making Carlos laugh.
"When we first got here," Carlos said, making Ben look up at him. "We were going to come at you fist flying, but then we saw how Mal is around you."
"What do you mean?" Ben asked.
"She is happy around you," Jay said. "You make her happy."
Ben smiled hearing that. Everyone told him that Mal was happy with him, but hearing it from her family was amazing.
"I'm glad," he said. "She makes me happy too."
"She could make anyone happy," Carlos said with a smile.
"She's the best," Jay said. "She comes from a really good family, and Mal is technically, what people in Auradon would call, my adoptive sister."
"Yeah," Ben said as he cleared his throat. "Mal told me about your dad, and I am sorry to hear about him passing."
"It's okay," Jay said as he nodded his head. "It was hard, but Mal and her family took me in. They treated me like their own, but they took Uma in first when her mom passed."
"I know, Hades was telling me the first night he came to the castle," Ben said. "He also told me how crazy it was when Mal and Uma had their fight."
"You mean their two years of hatred toward the other?" Carlos asked jokefully as he rolled his eyes. "I know Jay has a scar on his back from Mal throwing a fork toward Uma, but she got Jay instead."
"Yeah," Jay said as he laughed. "That was a night. You should have seen Hades. His hair was so red…"
Another knock on the door interrupted the three.
"Come in," Ben called.
The rest of the guys came in, and Ryder walked up to the desk with his hand on his chest.
"Dos thow not know what time it is?" He asked in a renaissance voice, making Ben shake his head and laugh. "Tis time for his majesty's party of bachelors."
Ben groaned as he threw his head back. He honestly didn't care about it, and told them that he didn't want one. He just wanted to rest for tomorrow, because he wanted to be alert and ready.
"Now," Ryder said. "Tis time to…"
"Speak English Ry," Ben said, cutting Ryder off.
"Fine," he groaned. "Way to take the fun out of everything. But, seriously. Let's go."
"Where are we going?" Ben asked. "I don't want to travel far because I do not want to be getting back late and I don't want to be tired for tomorrow either."
"Well, you're in luck," Doug said. "Because Chip and I decided to have the party here."
"Yep," Chip said. "Nothing too big. Nothing too crazy. Just perfect for you, Benny."
Ben laughed. He was glad that they didn't do anything too big or fancy. Especially no strippers.
"Thanks," he said. "I'm just going to say bye to Mal before I'm not allowed…"
"She is already gone," Aziz said.
"What?" Ben asked. "Where did she go?"
"Don't worry your brown head of hair about her," Ryder said. "She is going to be in the castle with girls, having a spa night."
Ben nodded his head slowly, thanking the gods that she wasn't out partying.
"Okay," Ben said as he looked back at the guys. "Let's go."
"I'm going to go and get my cousin," Chad said, making everyone look at him with a confused look. "Anthony?"
"Why would you want that?" Jay said as he and Carlos followed Ben to the group.
"Because he is my cousin, he has been just sitting in his room other than for meals, and he needs to get out," he said.
They were all skeptical, because of what happened at dinner the first day they arrived. Anthony walked into the dining room with a smirk on his face. He had been pinning over Mal since they were 11, but she never gave him the time of day. He saw her talking with Evie and Regina, and then he stalked over to her. Evie was asking Mal if her dad was invited to be at the wedding, and Mal was so into their conversation, she didn't flinch when someone snaked their hands around her waist.
"Miss me?" Anthony said, making Mal jump and turn out of his hold, now knowing that he was not Ben.
"What are you doing, Anthony?" Mal asked as she glared at him.
"I just came to say hello," he said as he smiled down at her.
"Anthony, I agreed to invite you because your family is here, but you have to stop with the touchy crap."
"Come on," he said. "It's just for fun."
"I'm getting married," she said. "And I didn't even like you before I came here."
"Anthony," Regina said as she walked between the two. "I think it's best that you stop. You don't know how people will react to you being so forward."
"You expect the Auradon royals to be aggressive?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Yeah right. I would like to meet one."
"Turn around," Ben said, making Anthony turn around to face him.
Ben was standing with Jane, Lonnie, Aziz, Ryder, Chip, and Doug. They were each glaring at him like they wanted to rip his throat out.
"Oh, your majesty," Anthony said, trying to hide the fact that he was trying to flirt with Mal. "It's nice to meet you. Thank…"
"Save it," Ben said as he held his hand up to Anthony. "What was that you were saying about people in Auradon not being aggressive?"
"Oh… um… I was just saying…"
"You were just assuming that I wouldn't kick your ass for putting your hands on my fiancés waist," Ben said as he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked around Anthony. "That is where you are gravely mistaken, because you see," Ben said as he put himself in front of Mal. "You see, when someone is flirting, or even looking at someone else's significant other, the other person feels threatened."
Ben was stalking Anthony like he was his prey and he was about to pounce.
"And you know my family tale," Ben said. "My father was a beast, and those traits carried over to me," he whispered. "So I would make sure that you don't make the mistake again, before I let my beast out."
Anthony swallowed before looking at Regina, Mal, and Evie. He looked back down at the ground before leaving to find his mom, grandmother, and sister.
"Wow," Jane said as she walked up to Ben. "Look at you coming to save Mal, like the hero you are. I'm so proud of you," she said as she pinched his cheek.
"Leave him alone," Mal said as she wrapped an arm around his waist and looked up at him. "I didn't need a hero, but I do appreciate the dedication."
He smiled down at her, before giving her a small kiss.
"What were you three talking about, before Anthony Ridley interrupted you?" He asked.
Everyone else went off to mingle with the others, leaving the four of them to talk.
"Evie was asking if we invited her dad," she said as she looked back at her best friend.
Evie had always known who her dad was, but she had never met him before. He would always journey to the Moors to leave her and Regina small gifts and treats at one of the barrier lines. One of the gifts that Evie cherished with all of her heart was a silver necklace. It was an arrow that shot through an apple, representing both her mom and dad.
"Robin?" Ben asked. "Yes, he will be here, and he is bringing your brother too."
Both Evie and Regina perked up at hearing the news. Regina hadn't seen Roland or Robin since Evie was born and she couldn't wait to see them.
"Fine," Ben said as he broke out of his reminder. "He can come, but both of you better be on your best behavior."
"It's a bachelor party," Chad said as he held his hands out. "We're supposed to be on our worst behaviors."
"I swear Chad," Ben said as he pointed at his friend.
"Okay okay," Chad said. "I'll be on my best behavior," he said in a teasing voice.
Ben sighed before they all left his office to enjoy Ben's last night as a single man.
"So, are you excited?" Evie asked as she squeezed Mal's hand.
Maleficent and Belle set up a spa day for the girls to get their nails done, get massages, and to just relax before tomorrow.
"I am," Mal said as she smiled at her best friend. "I didn't think I was going to be when all of this was set up, but I am very excited."
"What about after the wedding?" Evie asked as she wiggled her eyebrows.
Mal was confused at first, but then realized what Evie was talking about.
"My gods, E," Mal said as she laughed. "I haven't even thought about it."
"But it's going to happen, and I bet Ben has thought about it," she teased.
"Shush," Mal said as she put a finger over her mouth and gestured her head toward her mom and Belle. "I can't talk about it right now. Especially with my mom and Belle here."
"Fine," Evie said with a chuckle. "Are you enjoying today?"
"Absolutely," Mal said. "I have never felt so relaxed."
"Well, we're glad you're enjoying it," Uma said as she walked up to Evie and Mal with 3 glasses of champagne in her hands. "You have been running around this castle like a chicken with its head cut off."
"I know," Mal groaned as she took one of the glasses from her cousin. "I'm sorry, but I just had so much to do."
"We know," Evie said. "We just wish you would have let us help."
"I know, but I just need everything to be perfect. I didn't want to bore you with wedding stuff," she said.
"Stop stressing," Evie and Uma said at the same time.
"Everything is going to be perfect," Jane said as she joined the three girls. "I just know it."
"Thank you, Janey," Mal said as she smiled at Jane.
"You're very welcome," Jane said with a smile. "I just came to tell you that it is your turn to get your nails done."
"Oh," Mal said as she turned to look toward her and Ben's soon to be room. "Okay, thank you."
Mal stood up before walking to the room. The room she was going to be sharing with Ben after tomorrow. She smiled as she walked in to see almost everything but their phone chargers all set up in the room. She was excited for tomorrow, and she couldn't wait to become Ben's wife.
Ben and everyone were sitting in a part of the east wing. A room where his dad had turned into a rather large den. It contained leather couches and chairs, a bar in the corner of the room, a poker table, a giant television, and two walks that were full of pictures and books.
"So far so good, Ben?" Chip asked as he sat down with a glass of brown liquor in his hand.
"Yeah," Ben said as he smiled at his brother. "Thank you for making this very simple and nice. I never wanted something over the top."
"You mean you didn't want strippers," Doug said as he sat down in front of Ben, with Carlos and Jay following him.
"In blatant terms, yes," Ben said as he drank from his glass.
Ryder and Aziz went to grab some snacks for everyone, and Anthony and Chad were standing by the balcony talking.
"So, you're not going to be single tomorrow," Chip said as he nudged Ben's shoulder.
"I know," Ben said as he smiled and started to think about Mal.
His mind started to wander, trying to picture what she is going to look like tomorrow. He was so excited to see her in her dress, the way Dizzy was going to do her hair, the way her makeup was going to look, when she walked down the aisle with her dad, just her in general.
"Busy thinking about Mal?" Doug asked, making Ben's cheek flush.
"I'm just excited to see her," he admitted.
"You saw her this morning," Carlos said as he smiled at Ben.
"But I'm excited to see her in her wedding dress," Ben said. "She's going to look beautiful."
Across the room, Chad rolled his eyes hearing them talk about Mal.
"I still can't believe this," Chad scoffed as he drank his beer.
"What?" Anthony asked.
"That Ben is actually marrying that monster."
Anthony gave Chad a weird look, like he was a crazy person.
"Mal?" He asked.
"Yeah," Chad said with a nod. "He's making a big mistake."
"Why would you say that?" Anthony asked.
"You know her," he said. "She's evil. She's a witch. She's going to ruin Auradon."
Anthony almost felt offended after Chad said that about Mal. They may not get along and he may push himself on her too much, but she was an amazing person.
"Mal isn't going to ruin Auradon," Anthony said as he turned to face his cousin.
"Come on," Chad said as he playfully punched his chest. "You don't have to keep her secrets from me."
"Mal doesn't have any secrets," he said. "She is an actual genuine person. She is actually one of the best people. Ben is lucky to have her," he said. "I may be a douche and flirt with her even when she tells me to stop, but at least I know a good prison when I see one and can admit when I am wrong," he said before he walked away to go to the others as Aziz and Ryder walked back into the den.
About an hour later they were all sitting around the poster table with cards in their hands and empty glasses around the table. A knock at the door made them all, but Chad looked toward the door with confusion.
"Finally," Chad said as he stood up and walked toward the door.
"What's going on?" Ben asked as he looked back at everyone at the table.
Everyone shrugged their shoulders, not knowing what was going on. Chad opened the door, and when he moved a young woman in a knee length green dress walked in.
"Who is this?" Chip asked as he pointed at the girl.
"I am here for his majesty," she said as she looked at Ben before bowing.
Everyone looked at Ben in shock, but Jay and Carlos looked pissed off.
"Who the fuck is this?" Jay asked as he glared at Ben.
"I have no idea," Ben said as he held his hands up, not knowing what was going on. "I don't know who this is."
"Are you sure?" She asked as she walked over to Ben and started to untie the ribbon at the top of her dress.
Ben's eyes widened as she walked over, and he pushed himself back into his chair, trying to get away from her as she got closer.
"What do you say, your majesty?" She asked as she put her hands on the arms of his chair and stared into his eyes. "May I have this dance?"
"Chad," Doug said as Chad walked back to the table. "I thought we said no strippers."
"What is a bachelor party without strippers?" He asked as he smiled at the girl and Ben.
Everyone watched as Ben got even more uncomfortable. He didn't know what to do, and he didn't want to push her away because she could get hurt.
"So? May I?" She asked again.
"I… um… I'm not interested," Ben said as he started to get choked up.
"Come on," she said as she tugged at his tie. "One dance isn't cheating on your fiancé."
"Be that as it may," Ben said as he smoothly got out of the chair and past the girl. "I do love my fiancé and I would appreciate it if you would tie your ribbon back up and leave my castle."
"But Prince Chad said…"
"Prince Chad is a moron," Chip said, making the girl look at him. "I'm sorry for whatever he has told you, but I will gladly pay you twice what he did for your troubles of coming here."
Chad rolled his eyes, before he sat back down in his seat. Chip pulled out his wallet and paid the girl for her unwanted time, and Ben needed to get some air.
"I'm going to get some air," Ben said to Doug, before he walked out of the room.
He closed the door behind him, and walked down the hall. He didn't know what Chad was thinking and didn't know why he would pay a stripper to come to the castle. It actually infuriated him. No matter what threats Chad received, he would not stop his actions. He and Ben have been friends for years. They should have a mutual respect for one another, but Chad didn't have any respect for anyone. Laughter made Ben break out of his thoughts and when he focused on where he was, he found himself in front of his and Mal's soon to be room. He could hear laughter coming from the other side of the door, and he smiled when he heard Mal's. He quickly pulled his phone out and sent her a quick text.
Make an excuse and come outside.
A couple of minutes later, Mal walked out wearing a pair of white satin pajamas with purple trimmings. She looked to the right and saw Ben leaning against the wall smiling at her.
"What are you doing?" She asked as she walked up to him. "I thought that you were supposed to be at your bachelor party."
"I was, but I had to get some air," he said. "And Chad pissed me off."
"There it is," she said as she looked up at him and scrunched her nose. "What happened?"
"Well, Chip and Doug planned a quiet evening, but Chad ordered a stripper to come to the castle."
"I see," she said as she looked up at him.
She could tell that he seemed uncomfortable about the situation, but she still didn't like that Chad did that's, but again she would never put it past Chad to do something stupid like that.
"Chip paid her to leave, but I needed to get out of there," he said.
"So you came and pulled me away from the girls?" She asked as she tugged on the front of his shirt.
"I was hoping to get a couple of minutes with my fiancé, before she isn't my fiancé tomorrow," he said, making her cheeks flush pink. "Come on," he said before he grabbed her hand and pulled her down the hall.
"Ben, I don't have shoes on," she said.
"That can be rectified," he said, before he scooped her up in a bridal hold and made her laugh.
"Where are you taking me?" She asked as he started to hurry down the stairs.
"Somewhere we can be alone for a moment before we are taken away from each other for the night," he said as he walked out into the garden.
He placed her down on her feet after they got into the garden. Mal was still barefoot, but she didn't care because she was with Ben.
"How long do you think we have?" He asked as she looked up at her.
"I would say about 3 minutes," Mal said with a chuckle.
"Then we better make the most of it," he said before he grabbed her waist, pulled her in, and crushed their lips together.
Mal wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her body closer to his. They loved these small moments together. Where it was just the two of them, where nothing and no one else mattered. He cupped the side of her face, holding her in place as they continued to kiss.
"Mal! Ben!" They heard, making them groan and break apart.
"I swear," Ben said as he leaned his head against Mal's. "You're a psychic."
"It's a gift," she said as she looked up at him and scrunched her nose.
He laughed before he kissed her again, and before they got caught, but it was too late when they heard someone clear their throat behind them.
"Excuse me, sir," Evie said, making them break apart again. "You are not supposed to see her before the wedding."
Ben looked at his watch before showing Evie.
"It's not even midnight yet," he said.
"But," Chip said as he walked up behind Evie. "We do need to separate you so you can enjoy the last… 14 hours as single people," he said as he tilted his head at them.
"Fine," Ben said, before he kissed the top of Mal's head and walked over to Chip. "I'll meet you at the altar," he said as he turned to smile at Mal.
"I'll be the one in white," she said jokingly.
Ben, Chip, and Evie laughed, before Ben responded.
"I'll keep a lookout," he said as winked at her and turned around to leave.
They each went back to their parties, happy to have a small moment tonight, but they had forever to go. And they couldn't wait.
Okay! That's it for now! The wedding is going to be next! Please let me know what you think!
Until next time my lovies! xoxo GM
