Chapter 6 Ghost vs Warlord
Legion of Doom - HQ
Before the final plan can go on, the leader, Vandal Savage had big plans on changing the world and flip the tables in his favor.
Vandal had no personal enmity with the Avengers, he knew his new allies did, and he provided them with foolproof plans to take each member down, plans were stolen from Batman's own computer and things were set in stone now. He decided that humanity had grown arrogant and belligerent and was once more in need of his guiding hand and enlightened leadership. He plans on rewriting the world into his image and everything was set in motion now but changed as the heroes were alive and here now.
The Avengers had escaped the trap and battle the Legion of Doom. Batman against Bane, Superman against Metallo, Martain Manhunter against Malefic, Flash against Mirror Master, Green Lantern against Star Sapphire, and Wonder Woman against Cheetah.
Vandal should have seen that coming as many years taught him that he should have checked and made sure they were dead himself. But anyway, no point worry about now, and was too late as he disables Cyborg away from the controls.
Vandal laughed at Cyborg trying to get up and fight back but was kicked away by the immortal inhuman strength.
"Hahaha, I spent many years fighting, metal man. And torturing. I have time before mankind gets a new start," Vandal said as he brought out one of his knives but something knocked out of his hands and grunted in pain a bit as shuriken stabbed his right hand to drop the knife.
"Yeah, not going to happen. You good, Cyborg?" A familiar voice said, showing the White Knight on the upper platform to the rocket station and surprised Savage.
The immortal was not surprised that Ghostmaker was alive as if the other members of the Avengers were alive then he would be too. No, it's how the White Knight reminds him of someone from his past lives he took but where and when does he feel familiar about him.
"Yeah, I'm good. Just a need a second to fix the damage," Cyborg said, fixing his broken arm in place.
"We need every time we can get. Can you stop?" Ghostmaker asked as he jumped down on the lower platform and looked at his opponent, the immortal warlord himself.
Vandal grunted a little as he took the shuriken out of his hand and hand his hand rest on his sword's hilt.
"So Savage, are you ready to do things yourself?" Ghostmaker asked as he draws out his twin katanas which again sparked some familiarity for the warlord but aside for now.
Vandal chuckled as he draws out his sword which was curved hilt a bit and had an interesting design to his liking.
"I am glad you are alive as I wanted to kill you myself. Sometimes, things are just that important," Vandal smirked as the two warriors clashed their blades against each other.
The White Knight and Immortal Warlord clashed their swords against the other one, having their blade clash against the other and counter each other, leaving no opening, and were fairly matched in their swordsmanship.
Ghostmaker had to defend himself for a good while and used his agility to overcome Vandal's savage and inhuman strength while dodging or countering the heavy attacks.
Ghostmaker ducked from the greatsword swing before swing both his hands at Savage but the warlord sidestepped out of the way and back fisted the knight away from him. He then upper swing his foe which he dodged on time by backflipping and rolling in the air before throwing kunais and shurikens at the warlord.
Vandal blocked the throwing objects easily.
Ghostmaker recovered and swung downwards towards Vandal who blocked the attacks and the pair clashed their blades together, almost creating heat and sparks from their blades.
"Impressive, Ghost. I thought you would have learned your lesson by now," Vandal commented before the pair broke off from their clash.
"I am a bit of a slower learn but I am fast," Ghostmaker remarked before the clash kept going.
The White Knight then heard a couple of things and had a great guess that things were working out for them now. He smirked as he brought his swords pointing at his foe.
"It sounds like you lost. Cyborg?" Ghostmaker asked.
"We are good. Batwoman and Superwoman are in, the rocket is disabled and unarmed now," Cyborg answered.
Before going in, the Avengers know that they were going to have a hell of a fight and all. They had an idea for what the criminals would do and decied to careful plan ahead. Batwoman and Superwoman decied to stay on Watchtower and hack into Doom's HQ once Cyborg hacks in for them. The three were able to shut down the rocket and disable all systems to it, being usual and will never be used again, totally shut down now.
"It seems we will have to put our fight on hold for another time, Ghost," Vandal said with a smirk as he puts his sword away.
"Oh no. I am taking you in," Ghostmaker said, walking towards the warlord, not knowing he pushed a button for his escape plan.
By a push of a button, the whole base became dark as night, and everything trun back on which Ghostmaker and Cyborg were surprised to find the immortal warlord was gone. He disappeared but how?
"Hmm," Ghostmaker hummed in thought.
"Think we will see him again, Ghost?" Cyborg asked his friend.
"We will, my friend. We will," Ghostmaker replied, seeing that this won't be the last time he or his friends see or heard from Savage again.
The White Knight lowered his head when seeing the beaten Cheetah and Star Sapphire will be taken away. Star will get a bypass due to the alien jewel in her and might not remember everything, a theory that GL believes and who knows for sure. Cheetah, the knight had a plan and pray it works to save her for redemption.
One can only hope and we will see soon enough.
