Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Avian Attraction. Enjoy the 900-Word chapter. I don't own Hazbin Hotel, Viziepop and a few others do.
The first bullet went through the imp's head, spraying the ground with their life blood. Nova was already moving, already pulling the lever and ejecting another bullet from the weapon.
"Damn it…" Nova stated as he pulled the trigger again, putting another imp down as the group of assassins continued to fire at the rest of the group. "Hey, how about you leave, we walk away… Call it a draw?" Nova joked only for a shotgun round to nail over his head.
He shrugged; nothing could really change stupidity. Nova could only really ponder what was driving these assassins to be this stupid when it came down to it.
"So, how often you get in gunfights?" Nova asked both Moxxie and Millie.
Nova pulled the trigger once more, winging the next demon in the arm. Nova cursed before the demon was taken out by Moxxie. He sighed and cursed before he dropped the empty magazine.
"Damn it to the underworld!" Nova hissed and slammed a fresh magazine into the weapon. "I hate wasting a bullet." Nova muttered as he turned and continued firing the weapon once more.
He put a round straight into a bat like demon's head as it took flight. Nova was about to advance forward only for the demon to lunge at him, shrugging off the pain that Nova could only question how resistant the demon was.
The demon knocked the sniper from Nova's hands, swinging a knife towards his ribs. Nova sidestepped, drawing his arms in to wrap around the man's throat before slamming him into the pillar behind them.
Moxxie and Millie watched as the stone cracked before the demon scored a punch on Nova, cracking his head to the side before Nova grabbed his arm. He drew the limb out and then swung his other arm at the man, knocking the knife into his limb. Nova swiftly stabbed the man with the weapon and wretched it into their gut. Nova then swiftly slashed the man's neck with his claws, cutting it like a fish.
The demon collapsed, gagging as Nova rolled, grabbed his weapon and swung it over his back. He turned to look at Moxxie and Millie.
"Can you guys handle them? I have some…" Nova started to say before more gunfire rang out, Nova paused and drew his other pistol before looking at it.
He sighed and slid it towards the two imps. Octavia and her father were in danger. Nova had a duty to his mistress and he DIDN'T intend to waste it at this moment. He turned to look at Millie and Moxxie who gave a nod, a signal that he could leave and he could deal with this at a better date. It was all he needed when he thought about it.
He mouthed a 'thank you' and fled into the ramshackle carnival, leaving the two imps to slug it out with the army of criminals.
(With Octavia and Stolas)
Octavia turned and squeezed the trigger, she hit a garbage can instead of the imp. She cursed; how did assassins do this crap if she could barely hit the side of a bus? Stolas seemed to be eager for Blitz to swoop on a rope then for someone to actually help the duo.
"If Nova lived? I'm going to HATE the security thing…" Octavia muttered as the demon lunged, their knife extended.
"Well, hate it then, princess." Octavia heard as an arm wrapped around the demon's limb before he kicked him into the trash can. "Please remind me to teach you how to shoot that damn thing." Nova stated, dusting off his coat as he looked at this thug.
The demon cracked their neck and climbed to their feet as Nova hummed and drew one of his own knives. He spun the blade through his fingers.
"C'mon, my old man probably hits better then you." Nova said as the duo started to circle each other, eager to hurt the other.
Octavia looked between the dueling demons before Nova was thrown backwards. He watched as dozens of plenty of soldiers descended onto him. He was quite curious as how to think about the rest of soldiers when it came down to it.
He shook his head, unsure what happened next. Nova began to fend off Imps, throwing them off as he did so. He turned towards Octavia, cutting into the rest of the imps as he did so.
"Go, I can handle these guys." Nova added, pausing to think of how best to fend off the annoying soldiers who descended on him. "Can't you take a hint? You're not killing today." Nova stated while he shook his head as he hummed and nodded.
Nova kicked off the giant demon which he shook his head. He knew what worked to throw them off him. There was plenty of work to be committed.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter would be in 900-2500 and such. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show the next portion and the fight and such. Next chapter will be a bit delayed and such at the month.
