Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug, Cat Noir and Steel Butterfly.

Chapter 21: Antibug Averted.

(Author's notes: Now, we shall see how Chloe's Akumatization will be averted without her being a spoiled brat, without Vanisher's Akumatization at the beginning, and without anyone making a big deal out of Chloe being tormented by even an Akumatized villain with invisibility. At the same time, we shall see which new Akumatized villain will take Antibug's place.

(Quantum Universe Earth 139, Paris, France, May 7th, 2015, third person POV...)

In her room at Le Grand Paris Hotel, Chloe finds the perfect outfit to wear, which is basically a white and red casual wear t-shirt, a pair of black and blue casual wear jeans, and a pair of green and orange hi-top sneakers.

Chloe sees Butler Jean urging her to the car and carefully rushes over.

In Francoise Dupont High School, in Ms. Bustier's classroom being taught by Ms. Mendeleiev for the time being, the entire class is working on something with a tablet, with Chloe and Sabrina doing the same thing.

After ten grueling minutes, some of the class manages to finish, but they chose to keep quiet and not use their phones, knowing that despite Ms. Mendeleiev loosening up a tad, she was still very strict with her classes.

Marinette manages to finish her assignment, mentally praying her thankfulness that Steel Butterfly was helping her, her family, her friends, and the entire human population of this current Quantic Universe.

As everyone waited for Ms. Mendeleiev to check their work, nobody noticed how Steel Butterfly had flown up to the roof of the school and started eating something.

On the roof, Steel Butterfly was eating a footlong sandwich from a sandwich shop that he visited earlier. The sandwich was soft Italian bread, with the top part of the inside of the bread covered in a small amount of butter. And the sandwich itself was filled with ham, Genoa salami, bologna, steak, turkey, chicken breast, roast beef, roast pork, corned beef, pastrami, bacon, roasted zucchini, Brussels sprouts, spinach, green peppers, tomatoes, banana peppers, cucumbers, guacamole, lettuce, avocado, sautéed onions, and a small enough serving of natural American cheese.

Steel Butterfly was thoroughly and quietly enjoying his meal, thankful that nobody was crossing the school grounds, and thankful that he hadn't been spotted yet.

After the school bell rings, Marinette and Adrien are the first ones to move out the door of the classroom in a single file.

Surprisingly, there were no Akuma attacks just yet.

Having finished his luncheon, Steel Butterfly flies off to his lair, successfully managing to avoid detection.

Later on that afternoon, another Akumatized villain appeared: Hollis Calvin, also known as Shadow Stranger, a supervillain with the ability to actually conjure shadows of people's dark personalities after looking at them and manifest them into actual people. Sadly, this also happens to include the likes of people who are considered incorruptible, like Ladybug and Cat Noir in this current timeline thanks to the foreknowledge given to them about their mistakes in the future.

So, Ladybug had to contend with her dark counterpart, Lady Misfortune.

She was able to summon her Mega Charms as swords and rocket launchers as many times as she desired without her power draining.

And for perhaps the first time, Cat Noir is contending with his dark counterpart, Cat Blanc.

The fight against Cat Blanc was difficult for Cat Noir because Cat Blanc's Mega Cataclysm causes more destruction than normal. Cat Noir also remembered Steel Butterfly informing him and Ladybug that Cat Blanc's Mega Cataclysm is powerful enough to kill even Miraculous users and turn them into decaying coal statues, Cat Blanc can use his Mega Cataclysm as many times as he desires without his "White Cat Miraculous" losing power, he can focus on his control over his destructive power to even deactivate it, and Cat Blanc's Mega Cataclysm is also powerful enough to destroy entire galaxies in a single strike. And not even the likes of God, The Monitor or even Primus can restore what was destroyed by Mephistopheles, Unicron or the Anti-Monitor respectively.

As for Steel Butterfly, because he was the morally neutral line between angelic and demonic, and as a bit of an antihero, he was completely unaffected.

So, he managed to overcome Shadow Stranger's gaze, but he found her to be a supernatural skilled combatant. So, Steel Butterfly used almost every combat move, almost every combat maneuver, almost every technique, and almost every one of his offensive powers before he finally broke the Akumatized object, which was a light and dark-colored large-sized locket brooch.

As Steel Butterfly went home, he remarked, "Whew! That was one of the toughest battles ever! And I know for a fact that the next ones to come will arrive sooner than I think."

Steel Butterfly detransformed back into Miguel Guevara and went to sleep in his room.

(Flashback: Le Grand Paris, two days ago, third person...)

Chloe and Sabrina decided to stay in Chloe's room so as to avoid getting themselves in trouble with Jagged Stone and Nadia Chamack.

The reason for that is Chloe and Sabrina were cosplaying Corvo and a female version of Steel Butterfly with Lynnette and Miriam cosplaying Ladybug and a female version of Cat Noir.

They knew that they choose to omit specific parts of their costumes because they don't suit the cosplayers.

But the cosplayers also realized that they could get in trouble for illegal impersonation if they tried to imitate the actual heroes and lie to the associates of the actual heroes.

Thankfully, they managed to avert that disaster, which is why Sabrina was never Akumatized into Vanisher and why Chloe was never Akumatized into Antibug, the complete opposite of Ladybug with the same powers as her.

Chloe and her three friends then decided to cosplay as different superheroes to avoid attracting attention and causing confusion and trouble.

(Present day, third person...)

In Miguel's residence, Ladybug and Cat Noir entered Miguel's bedroom to play a prank on him.

They tried to do the classic wet your bed trick, but when Miguel woke up, he said to them, "Nice try, guys."

Ladybug and Cat Noir groaned in unison, knowing that their boss was thoroughly skilled in pranking people and his skill in avoiding pranks was on a superb level.

Miguel got up from his bed and his two friends could see that he was wearing Transformers themed pajamas for men of his height and weight.

Miguel then asks, "Now, whose bright idea was it to prank me? And don't try lying to me, because one of my many superpowers is the ability to detect lies, in addition to the ability to read your minds."

Ladybug sighs as she replies, "Hhhhaaaa. Okay. It was my idea to prank you."

Miguel scowled dangerously, and the two novice heroes could easily see Miguel's teeth sharpening themselves into razor-sharp dragon teeth.

Suddenly, Miguel smirked evilly and tackled Ladybug, causing a small yelp of surprise.

Miguel pins Ladybug to the ground and starts tickling her underarms.

Ladybug was squealing and laughing hysterically as she begged for Miguel to stop.

But Miguel's only response was, "When you attempt to prank me, I always find a way to get even. I know how ticklish you really are, Marinette, and if you cross my path in such a manner again, I'll personally tickle torture you the same way we tickle tortured Alix before we trained her to be a better Bunnyx."

Ladybug replies, "HAHAHA! Okay! OKAY! I'M SORRY, OKAY?! JUST PLEASE STOP TICKLING ME!"

Miguel replies cheekily, "All right, but only because you said please."

Miguel stopped tickling Ladybug's underarms and helped her up.

All the while, Cat Noir was discreetly smirking, knowing that he can easily prank his lady by tickling her while she's asleep.

Ladybug and Cat Noir parted on good terms.

That night, during patrol, Steel Butterfly advises, "Ladybug, the next Akumatization to avert is a real shocker. Your great-uncle from China, Wang Cheng, will be stopping by to participate in a cooking competition called "'The World's Greatest Chef,"' and he becomes Akumatized into Kung Food after his dish is sabotaged."

Ladybug snorts in amusement as she asks, "Kung Food? Seriously?"

Steel Butterfly replies before continuing, "Yes, seriously. Anyway, as Kung Food, Wang has the ability to summon weapons from his bag, and the weapons are made out of various foods, including swords made of pizza and grenades filled with spicy peppers."

Ladybug and Cat Noir's stomachs start to growl loudly in response.

Steel Butterfly continues, "Anyway, whoever has eaten Kung Food's Celestial Soup is immediately hypnotized into becoming his servants after he becomes Akumatized. But also, he mainly speaks Mandarin Chinese because he was born and raised in Shanghai, China. As a result of growing up in a Chinese-speaking community and living in that same community for over fifty-nine years, Wang's ability to speak English is somewhat limited. So, Ladybug, you're gonna have to learn how to speak Chinese without using a translating app. Besides, the translating app you have is somewhat faulty."

Ladybug then inquires, "And how do you expect me to speak to my great-uncle in Mandarin without using a translating app?"

Steel Butterfly explains, "It's simple. Like Charles Xaiver, my ability to speak different languages is nearly unparalleled thanks to my extensive super intelligence being nearly godlike, and as a result, I can easily use my telepathy to teach you to speak Mandarin. But we must keep this a secret from your great-uncle. If he got Akumatized and he found out you were playing superhero, Hawk Moth would also find out because even though he can't read his champions' minds, he is still able to see and hear everything that his villains can see and hear. Besides, Wang doesn't even know about our team, ourselves included."

Ladybug vents before replying, "Okay, and who would have the audacity to sabotage my uncle's soup to the point of getting him Akumatized?"

Steel Butterfly replies, "That would be Chloe in the original primary timeline."

So, in anticipation of the competition coming up in three days, Steel Butterfly used his telepathy to teach Ladybug how to speak the basics of Mandarin, and the basics of how to carry some small talk in Mandarin.

At the same time, Steel Butterfly and Bunnyx helped double the efforts by taking Ladybug on a two-way trip back in time to ancient China to learn from the ancient people how to speak Mandarin without being seen.

And surprisingly, Ladybug turned out to be a fast learner in this timeline, and as a result, she was perfectly able to tell her mother in the present day in Mandarin that she'll be waiting for her great-uncle to arrive.

Sabine cried in joy at how well her daughter was perfectly able to speak Mandarin without needing any help.

Soon, it was all systems go to prevent Wang Cheng from becoming Kung Food. But some of the efforts would not be needed because Chloe and Lynnette were no longer spoiled brats despite being rich.

(Author's notes: How do you like them apples? Anyway, just to let you know, when Heroes' Day arrives, many of the chronological and non-chronological villains will return, thus making Scarlet Moth's army bigger. BUT, with Steel Butterfly's own armies and his heavenly connections, even Scarlet Moth's supervillain army won't stand a chance.

Also, this shout out goes to fellow fanfic writer KenosDC1. Mate, can you help me come up with names for Tenshized hero opposites of the Akumatized villains whose debuts were averted, please? Let me know in a review your ideas.
