The next day, Helena and her family go out for another tour of the place, in addition to buying what is necessary for their breads, cake and cookies, Mr. Morgan offered to buy the ingredients but they want to make sure they have what they need just in case.

"Ok, we have what we are going to prepare ready." Helena looks at her notebook, while walking with her family through the woods. "There is no doubt that the prize will be ours."

"Yes! That trophy and the money will be ours!" Alex yelled excitedly.

"Money?" Helena takes out the brochure. "I don't remember them mentioning money." reading. "Remus, is one of the prizes money?" she turns to see it but she can't find it. "Remus?" watching around her.

Helena turns and looks at Remus seeing a creepy forest, the locals had already told them and warned them about that forest, no one dares to enter. They say that strange things have happened there for more than a hundred years.

"Wow, the dark forest of Transylvania." Alex said with a big smile.

"I don't see it at all scary." Helena said and something happened quickly there.

"What was that?!" Alex asked scared.

"Surely an animal, come on, it's almost dark already." Helena walks.

"Aaawww, I want to go in."

"Hey Helena." Remus walks over to her. "Don't you think you should go in and take a look?"

"What?" Helena raises an eyebrow.

"Come on, it's a dark forest, no human dares to enter and the few who have never gone that far." Remus looks at the forest. "But, a half vampire can see what lies beyond."

"Well, find another vampire half because I won't go in." Helena looks at the forest. "Much less alone."

"I'm with you!" Alex yelled excitedly.

"Of course not" Helena gives him a bad look. "It's very dangerous, much less Remus can go due to his age and condition."

"Just because of my age, but in condition I'm fine." Remus said.

"Come on Aunt Helena, aren't you curious what's in there?" Alex looks at the forest. "Surely there are monsters in there."

"Monsters?" Helena whispered.

She had not thought about that, it increased her desire to enter the forest, but she, she was afraid to be disappointed, although she was curious what is beyond that dark and creepy forest.

"No, no" Helena walks away. "There are no more monsters, I am the last one, accept it now."

Alex and Remus look at each other worried, they did not like that Helena had the idea that she must be single forever, without knowing love.

"HELP!"

Helena stops when she hears that scream, Alex and Remus look around since they also heard it.

"Help me please!"

"Someone is in trouble!" Remus said worried.

Helena concentrates on hearing where the noise is coming from, that she uses her vision to search for it and looks at the boy she met in the ruins of Lubov Castle hanging from a cliff, the rope seemed about to fall.

"I found him, he's about to fall off the cliff!" Helena begins to fly at high speed.

"Helena wait!" Remus yelled following her, as fast as he could.

"Wait aunt!" Alex yelled, running after her.

"Not so fast!" Remus yelled. "I curse my old age"

Helena stops on the cliff and runs towards the shore, right where the rope was breaking.

"Help!" Jonathan screamed in despair.

"Got you!" Helena screamed, grabbing the rope that she was already about to break. "Wait, now I'm going to bring you up." pulling the rope

"Quick, please, I won't hold out any longer."

Helena pulled the rope, she was grateful that her vampire side gave her a super strength that has helped her all her life, in addition to helping her save someone.

But she shouldn't use it all, she couldn't get the boy up fast because he might suspect that she wasn't normal.

After a while, Jonathan managed to grab onto a branch that was near the top of the cliff, when he saw that he was almost at the top, he released the rope and quickly grabbed his hand helping him up.

Jonatha falls to the ground exhausted while Helena walks over to check it and then to the sewer to see if there was no one else, but there was no one.

"Are you okay?" Helena asked, turning to see him.

"Yes." he replied, breathing heavily. "Thank you" he said and then sat down. "Hey, you're the girl from yesterday."

"And you the American, Jonathan?"

"Yes, but everyone calls me Johnny", getting up with difficulty.

"Well Johnny what were you climbing alone?" she asked confused. "Don't you know it's dangerous?"

"Yes," he replied, scratching the back of his neck. "I actually came with a group, but they decided to leave and left me here."

"What?!" Helena asked incredulous and annoyed. "You have to report them, you almost died because of their recklessness."

"They are here!" Alex screamed.

They both turn and look at Alex and Remus approaching.

"You were on time" Remus said, looking at Johnny.

"Yes, little by little and I did not arrive on time." Helena said. Found it hanging in the gutter.

"What were you doing hanging alone on the cliff?" Remus asked.

"Actually sir, I came with a group but they either abandoned me or forgot about me."

"It can not be!" Remus said annoyed. "We must report them, how could they leave you hanging? It is very dangerous!"

"That's what I said." Helena said.

"Hey, you were at Lubov Castle yesterday" Alex said to Johnny.

"That's right, I'm Jonathan but everyone calls me Johnny."

"I'm Alex, this is my grandfather Remus."

"A pleasure" Remus extends his hand.

"Hi."

"It would be better to go back to the city, it is almost dark and we must report this." Helena said.

"And especially eat, I think you're hungry boy." Remus looks at Johnny.

"Yes, being about to die gave me a hunger that you have no idea."

"Ok let's go."

The four were eating in a tavern after having gone to the police station to file the complaint. They took Johnny, although he did not want to, to be examined by a doctor in case he suffered a blow to the cliff, luckily everything was in order.

"Thank you very much for inviting me to lunch." Johnny said as he savored his food.

"After what you went through, we couldn't leave you alone, especially without eating." Remus said.

"Where are you from?" Alex asked.

"I come from Los Angeles." Johnny answered.

"Los Angeles, where is Hollywood the city of cinema?" he asked excitedly.

"Yes." he replied calmly.

"Aren't you too young to travel alone?" Helena asked.

"I am 21 years old, I started traveling alone after graduating from high school." Johnny drinks some of his soda. "My father wants me to go to university but my mother agrees that I travel the world, she wants me to take advantage of my youth."

"Your mother is very wise." Remus said with a small smile.

"Yes, if it weren't for her, I would surely be in college, but I would rather travel than study, I still lack places to visit."

"And since you have your backpack, surely you have already been in many places." Remus said.

Yes, although there are times when I repeat the trips, for example, this is my second time in Transylvania and my next destination is Russia.

"Wow." Alex looks at him fascinated.

"Something told me that you are not from here, but you have an accent of not being foreigners."

"We are from Bistrița". Remus replied.

"Really?" Johnny asked surprised and confused. "That's like two hours from here."

"Yeah, but it's our first time here, I know, weird." Helena said.

"We have a bakery and pastry shop, we were invited to participate in the festival," explained Remus.

"Seriously?!" Johnny asked with a big smile and Alex nodded. "Great! I already want to try it."

"You will love them, we make the best breads and cakes in all of Romania." Helena said.

At that moment, a frightened villager arrives and approaches a woman.

"I see something in the dark forest?" the terrified man yelled, everyone turned to see him. "I'm not lying, I was using my cell phone when a teenager took it from me and threw it in the woods, I went looking for it and something crawled on my arm, and it was ... it looked like a skull with spider legs." crying.

People began to murmur among themselves while Helena, Remus, Johnny and Alex looked at each other in surprise.

"Did you go into the dark forest?" a woman asked.

"Few manage to enter the forest, but not very far." a man told his friends about him.

"I tried to get in, but when I crossed I saw something horrible that sold out." teen tells his friends.

"My father tried to enter but he was so scared that he ended up freaking out." a lady told her friends.

"Wow, that forest is scary." Alex said surprised.

"I heard stories from that forest, but I don't know why I didn't go in when I came the other time." Johnny said.

"Scary stuff, isn't that interesting Helena?" Remus looks at his sister.

Helena looks at him narrowing her eyes, she knew what her brother was trying to say.

"Excuse me." Johnny walks up to the man who was hugging a woman. "I couldn't help but hear that I went to the forest, is it really scary?" he asked interested.

"Scared? It's horrible!" he answered. "That forest is the most terrifying in the world, no one has been able to enter the forest, no one can stay there for long, horrible things happen."

"Many of those who have entered return mad with fear, luckily no one has died, but few recover from the trauma they suffered." the woman explained.

"Trauma?" Helena asked, approaching her family.

Yes, many of those who have entered say that in that forest there are creatures that you only see in your nightmares, there is even a cemetery where supernatural things happen, others say that they see specters and other things that you only see in your nightmares. "

"Cool" Alex whispered.

"No, kid, it is a dangerous forest." the woman said and looks at the others. "It is obvious that you are not from here, it is better that you stay away from that forest if you do not want to end up maddened with fear." she grabs the lord's arm and they both walk away.

Helena and Remus look at each other.

"Cool, I think I'll go see him." Johnny said with a big smile.

"Didn't you hear what they said about that forest?" Helena asked.

"Please, I'm not from here, it sure doesn't affect me, besides, I really like horror stories." Johnny tse hangs his backpack on him.

"Are you crazy?" Helena asked and Johnny goes to the door. "He's crazy"

"I think he is brave." Remus said. "I think you should go with him."

"Now you're crazy" Helena raised her eyebrow. "I'm not going there."

"Ok, wait Johnny." Remus approaches him, Johnny stops and turns to see him. "Helena asks if she can go with you?"

"That I what?" Helena asks confused.

"I'm not used to traveling with someone, but it seems that this trip is better to be accompanied." Johnny said smiling.

"I'll take it as a yes." Remus smiles.

"Remus!" Helena looks at him badly.

"Wait a moment please." Remus walks over to his sister.

"Are you crazy ?!" Helena whispered annoyed. "I'm not going to go into that forest and leave you and Alex alone!"

"Come on sister, I've been living without you for years when you're going to hide for a while in search of a new identity." Remus reminded her that Helena was about to complain, but she remains silent. "Besides, it doesn't seem strange to you the stories they tell about that forest and why your mother told you never to come to Transylvania."

"I never really knew why."

"Surely it protect something, it could be your chance to check if there are more monsters or not." Remus said, Helena is silent as she does not deny that it would be a good opportunity, but she is afraid of being disappointed. "What do you say?" he asked smiling.

Helena gives him a bad look, but she sighs nodding her head because she knew they would keep insisting that she go.

She did not know whether or not she would regret having agreed to go to Transylvania.
