Helena went to a store to buy a backpack to carry the necessary things, she went to her room to collect some things that could be useful.
She could not believe that they managed to convince her to go to the forest, she was very nervous, she did not know that she would be there. She was afraid of being disappointed but at the same time she was afraid of meeting a monster that might be nice or try to eat him.
She takes out of her suitcase a picture frame with the image of her mother that her father drew years ago.
Helena takes out an oval-shaped silver locket with the image of a flower with a small ruby stone in the center. She opens it and looks at the photo of her parents, her father told her that it took him a long time to figure out how to capture the image of her mother.
It was one of the few objects that her father managed to rescue from the house, she remembers that he told her that her mother left her something valuable in her draw, she never knew what he meant, but that image was important to her, it was the only thing she had to see her mother.
"There she is mom, I never understood why you didn't want me to come." Helena said as she looked at the image of her mother. "I want to obey you but at the same time I am curious to know what is inside that dark forest, which was surely the reason why you did not want me to come." she smiling. "Blame my brother and nephew who convinced me." she sighs. "I'm scared, I don't know what's there." she putting the photo in the suitcase. it."
Helena puts on the locket and leaves the room to meet the others, Remus and Alex accompany them to the exit of the city. Helena didn't want them to stray too far, especially at night.
"I want you to take your medications." Helena was telling Remus. "Remember Remus, your meds after waking up, eating and before sleeping, especially-"
"Helena, I'm not a kid, and you know I don't need the meds." Remus said.
"Your doctor prescribed them, so yes." Helena folded her arms. "I carry my cell phone with me, call me anything."
"I will."
"I'll try to come back before the contest to help you prepare everything, you can't do everything."
"Sure I can, my father was a great baker, but I am better." Remus said proudly.
"I know, I don't deny it." Helena looks at Alex. "Take care of your grandfather."
"I will, bring me something from the forest, a stone, some ruin if there is an abandoned town or a photo." Alex said excitedly.
"Do not hesitate." Johnny takes a photo of the forest. "I will take many photos."
"We will be fine sister, go and have fun in this adventure." Remus said.
"And would I have fun?" Helena raises an eyebrow.
"Find monsters, make friends and find your Zing."
"I doubt all that." Helena rolls her eyes. "But if I find out that Benedict Cumberbatch is a vampire, believe me, I will marry him." she said blushing and then hugs her brother. "Take care little brother, I love you."
"And I love you sister." Remus smiles.
"Take care Alex, and take care of your grandfather." Helena hugs him. "I love you."
"And I love you." Alex said.
Helena separates from them and approaches Johnny.
"Alright, see you later!" Johnny waves goodbye and heads into the woods.
Helena looks at the forest, takes a deep breath and walks into it.
She had believed that people were exaggerating, but they were not, it was dark, cold and strange and somehow chilling things were heard. If she were fully human, it was obvious that she would run away, but she knew that the vampire side of her would protect her, although she feared for Johnny, he would not have a chance to get out of the forest if he kept going further.
"Wow, people didn't lie." Johnny said fascinated while he takes pictures.
"How can you be so calm?" Helena asked confused as she looked around her.
"Please, who didn't want to go to an enchanted forest?" she asked while taking a photo of a horrible and creepy tree.
"Aaammm the locals?" Helena keeps walking and a snake appears in front of her scaring her. "Aaaaa! You are a silly snake!" she said upset, she grabs it and throws it away.
"Are you afraid of snakes?"
"No, but appeared out of nowhere." she answered annoyed.
Johnny shrugs and takes a photo of the snake.
Helena continues walking, followed by Johnny, who took pictures every five minutes of every scary thing that appeared on the road.
"Hey, are you goth, emo, or dark?" Johnny asked.
"What?" Helena looks at him confused.
"It is that when I saw you in the ruins of Lubov you were dressed in an excellent dark style and today too."
Helena looks at her clothes, she is wearing a dropped shoulder neckline black blouse with long sleeves, the sleeves were a bit sheer, a black skirt with a gray cobweb image, black leggings and black boots. In addition to makeup, she wears black lip gloss, black eyes shadow, and little color on her cheeks.
"No." she responds with a small smile. "I like to wear black clothes and a bit of gothic or other dark styles, although not exaggerated, I feel very comfortable.
"And what about your fangs?"
"My fangs?!" Helena stops before that question, she could not believe that he had noticed something in them.
"Yes, they are a bit long, I'll tell you what, if it weren't because we met during the day I'd say you're a vampire." Johnny stands next to her.
"Yes, hehehe, a vampire." Helena walks a little nervous. "I only have them a little long, my orthodontist tells me I don't have to worry, it's just a small dental malformation, nothing serious." she said the first thing that came to mind.
Johnny nods with a relaxing smile and continues to see the place.
She sighs relieved and keeps walking, and she turns around without noticing that in front of her there was a large cobweb that ends up wrapping her face.
"Oh no!" Helena walks towards a river that was close to her and wets her face to clean herself, to remove her make-up.
"Are you okay?" Johnny walks over.
"Yes." Checking that she doesn't have any more cobwebs or, more importantly, that she doesn't have a spider. "Just mess up my makeup, I'll wear a little, I look horrible." she takes the cosmetic bag from him but sees that she only brought purple lip gloss and a little bit to put color on her cheeks. "Damn, I left most of it at the hotel." she starts to get a little color on her cheek.
"I will never understand why it is important for women to wear makeup." Johnny starts walking.
"Because women like to look good, and I because I like to see myself with dark-toned makeup." she puts on lip gloss. "Ok." she keeps her things in her backpack. "It would be better to continue." she gets up and turns to see that Johnny is gone. "Johnny?" she looks around her. "Johnny?" she walks in another direction.
Helena looks around in search of Johnny, she has called him but only hears the sound of owls or other creatures.
She sighs wearily and uses her vision to see beyond in front of her, to see if she can find Johnny, but instead of Johnny and a dark forest, she finds a town that doesn't seem to be abandoned.
"What?" Helena asked confused.
No one had mentioned a forest within the dark forest, not even one so close to Transylvania, the other towns are more than two hours away.
Helena rubs her eyes and uses her vision again and looks at the town and someone slowly passing by.
She is surprised that he is very curious to get closer, she looks around to see if Johnny or someone else was not there and goes at high speed until she reaches a tree near the village.
She leaves her backpack behind the tree and takes out a pocket knife just in case and keeps it between her clothes, enters the town and is surprised, it was a 19th century town hidden in the middle of the haunted forest, above all it was in good condition, as if was still inhabited.
Walk towards the fountain and gaze at the place in fascination.
"I can't believe it, is it a ghost town or is it lost in time?" he asked as he took out her cell phone and took a picture of her to send to Remus.
Look what I found, a town in the middle of nowhere, and it seems lost in time because of the good condition it is in.
Just as Helena sends it out, someone grabs her from behind and leads her into a dark alley.
