Helena struggled to free herself, but her captor was much stronger, she pulled out her knife and wounded his hand, causing him to let go of her while he screamed in pain.

Helena turns ready to attack her captor but stops when she sees a handsome man who looked in his mid-thirties, pale skin, blue eyes, long chin and hooked nose. He wears an all-black tuxedo ensemble with black dress shoes and he is almost always seen in his iconic black cape that has a high collar and fuchsia inner-lining.

The man looks up to attack her and is speechless.

Helena could swear she saw a purple sparkle in his eyes and he in hers.

They both lower their guard and move closer to be mesmerized in the eyes, as if nothing exists around them.

Then the sound of Helena's cell phone brought them back to reality, she blinks confused by what just happened and apparently the man felt the same.

Suddenly he grabs her shoulders and corners her against the wall.

"Who are you? How did you get here?" he asked with a threatening tone.

"Walking, isn't it obvious?" Helena raises her eyebrow. "Who are you? What is this place?"

"Walking? In the haunted forest?" he asked confused and then he glared at her. "No one, no human can cross that forest without going crazy"

"Yes, that's what the locals told us." Helena rolls her eyes. "Let go of me! You hurt me"

"Told us?" he asked angrily. "Are you coming with more humans?"

"Humans?"

"Whoo-hoo!

"What is that?" Helena asked confused.

"Be quiet!" he covers her mouth. "Don't make any noise if you want to stay alive."

Helena rolls her eyes, she was ready to use her vampire powers, but what she sees left her shocked, she sees a bat turning into a human on the roof of a house.

Helena couldn't believe what she had seen, a girl transforming into a vampire, like her mother.

That girl is a monster.

But, if the girl was a monster, then the man who kidnapped her is also a monster.

The monsters still exist.

The girl walks down from the house as if it were the ground, and walks down the street looking around with a big smile.

"Uh, hello? Anybody here?

No one answers, the town was deserted, without any trace of human life.

Helena kept trying to free herself but the man was too strong.

Then the girl noticed a store window with two beautiful dresses. She ran to him and looked through the glass to admire the dresses.

Suddenly.

"Vampire!" an angry villager holding a pitchfork appeared in the display case and snarled

One of the mannequins turned out to be another human.

"Bite toes!"

Helena stops fighting and looks confused at the scene. The locals were attacking the girl like more than a hundred years ago when they were hated, when today they want to meet monsters and they are very popular.

"Oh" The girl took a step back, a little surprised. "Oh! Hi, humans." she said with a friendly greeting.

The man lets go of Helena a little and makes a wave with his hand and at that moment the lights go out.

"Everything okay?" she asked nervous "Uh, my name is Mavis Dracula and..."

"Dracula?!" Helena tries to ask, she couldn't believe what she had just heard, is that girl related to the infamous Count Dracula?

"Vampire!" more angry villagers slinked out from another building, with torches and pitchforks, as one of them growled. "We take your candy!"

Helena looks at everything confused, there was something very strange in those men, their faces only showed anger but there were no other expressions that everyone makes when they are upset, in addition, they walk slowly and speak very slowly. Also, when they spoke they did not move their mouths.

"Calm down, please. I'm friendly, really. I just wanted to say hi." Mavis recoils scared.

One of the inhabitants tripped over his own feet and fell to the ground. His head came loose and he rolled onto it, something like a mask, revealing himself to be a zombie.

Helena tries to scream in terror.

The man lets go of her and a blue mist comes out of his hands that surrounds her, leaving her frozen. Helena tries to move but it was impossible.

She couldn't believe it, that man was a vampire, she remembers that her mother told her that only vampires could freeze anyone whenever they wanted, whether they were humans, monsters or animals.

Even she could do it

"This is unbelievable, I can't believe it, this can't be happening." Helena thinks still shocked by what is happening.

Helena looks at the man, if he was a vampire like the girl did it mean that he was Count Dracula?

She look at how the man very stealthily, picked up the zombie's head, screwed it into his rightful body like a doll's head, put the human mask back on the zombie's face, and walked away from the chaos again and looked closely at a distance. Helena, but he had no intention of unfreezing her.

"Please, I've never hurt anyone! I'm...homeschooled!" Mavis explains getting more scared every time

One of the townspeople held out a stick of garlic bread in her face.

"Is that garlic?"

One villager stabbed one of his comrades in his head, shocking Mavis instantly and causing the man to face palm. The disguised zombie who got stabbed in the face, or mask, fell over and dropped his torch, setting all of the villagers ablaze. The flames caused the 'townspeople' to go aflame, creating one big bonfire.

"Holy rabies!" Mavis shouted in horror at the burning villagers on fire, not even flinching in pain. "You're on fire! Can I do anything? Can I help you?"

But the villagers nearly shoved pitchforks in her direction, not even caring she would want to help them.

Helena rolled her eyes, hoping Mavis would realize that everything is a theater, but as she looked at things it seemed like she was really buying it all.

When Mavis was cornered by the burning villagers, Helena watched as her face showed sadness and disappointment.

"Dad was right." Mavis said sadly

The man, who was still hiding, went wide eyed at what he heard.

"Dad was right." She turned into a bat and retreated.

Helena watches as Mavis sadly walks away, while she analyzes what just happened.

"Mom kept me away for this?" Helena thought as she watched the man come out of her hiding place. "They attack each other to keep them away from humans, that's why you kept me away mom, so they wouldn't keep us away from dad." she tries to move but it is impossible. "So why did you say I was proof that humans and vampires could live in harmony if you didn't want me to come?"

"It worked." He smiled, and sighed in relief. "Now my baby will be safe...forever." Hearing the groans of the 'villagers' behind him, he turned to look at them with a serious frown. "Alright, everybody. Get back to work."

The villagers, though still slightly aflame, took off their masks to reveal themselves to be the zombies that worked at the hotel.

Spotting one of the zombies in front of the dress shop and trying to take a mannequin with him.

"Hey! You don't need a mannequin!" He said, but the zombie silently pleaded. "Leave the mannequin here! C'mon!" The zombie sulked as he dropped the mannequin.

The zombies began to tear down the village, revealing it all to be hollow and empty, like the set off a movie studio.

The man was about to leave but he stops as he remembers Helena, he returns to the alley and looks at her, Helena tries to move but makes a movement in her hands thawing her.

Helena quickly gets up taking a deep breath, no one, not even her mother, had frozen her, she felt weird.

"Are you Dracula?" Helena asked, but the man only narrowed his eyes, confirming her suspicions. "It can't be! Aren't you supposed to be a myth?" she backs off. "Wow, mom never told me about you."

"Look at me." Dracula's eyes glow red. "Look at me and listen carefully girl, you will no longer remember anything you just saw, you have no memory of this place or the monsters you saw, go away and never come back." in which he turns into a vampire and leaves.

Helena blinks confused, Dracula tried to erase her memory, but it did not affect her, it did not affect her at all, she still had the memories, surely it is on her vampire side what saved her memory.

But, Helena had no intention of going back, she was happy to find a monster but disappointed that they were selfish and attacked each other.

She was not the only monster that existed, she still had a hard time assimilating all that, but now she wished she had not found them.

"Forgive me for disobeying you mom." Helena picks up her backpack.

"Helena!" Johnny comes out of nowhere hugging her.

"Kya!" she screams in terror. "Johnny?"

"Are you okay?" Johnny asked, pulling away from her a bit. "I was looking everywhere for you. I went to see something and when I came back you were gone."

"I was looking for you." Helena replied. "But it doesn't matter anymore, we have to get out of here." she walking.

"What?" Johnny asked confused and in that he hears some noises. "What is that? A town under construction?" He approaches with interest.

"Johnny". Helena follows him.

Johnny walks down the alley and looks surprised at the zombies walking still on fire.

"Whoa, check out those goofy-looking dudes! They're on fire!"

"Aren't you scared?" She asked confused by her friend's reaction.

"Scared?" Johnny asked without seeing her. "It's the most incredible thing I've ever seen." he replied fascinated. "We have to follow them."

"What?!" Helena looks at him in disbelief and Johnny follows. "Johnny, wait, that's a bad idea!." following him.

"Bad idea? That would be not following them."

"Johnny, wait." Helena watches her walk away and sighs. "That boy will get him killed." She folded her arms.

She looks at her reflection in a window of a house and sees something that scares her, she was missing her locket.

Helena runs to the alley and begins to look for it, but she cannot find it, she is terrified and in that she remembers that when Dracula released her, her locket was in his hand.

Dracula took the necklace from her.

Helena is enraged and looks in the direction that Johnny and the Zombies are going.

"You son of a..." Helena whispered furiously. "You didn't want to see me again, but unfortunately you will see me."
