Oct 2nd: Sneaking Out Together
Pairing: Ron/Hermione
Length: Triple Drabble

Alone Time

Privacy in the Burrow was nonexistent.

With his many siblings always around, and even Harry's constant presence in their shared room, Ron could never find a moment to be alone with Hermione. There was never a chance to talk without listening ears…much less to kiss…or do any of those other activities that they both so desperately wanted to partake in now that they were finally together - especially since they no longer had Bulgarian quidditch players, ditzy classmates, or dark lords and war to distract them.

Therefore, when Ron answered the quiet late night tap at his door, he was surprised…and excited…to find Hermione there in her nightgown and bare feet.

"Let's go down to the pond," she suggested with a slightly shy smile as she showed him the folded blanket that she carried.

Ron thought it was the best idea ever…and told her so with a huge grin…as he marveled about how flexible his girlfriend had become with rule-breaking. After all, his mother…even more over-protective since coming so close to losing Fred…had forbidden nighttime excursions so that all of her children would stay safely in their beds.

...

In the bedroom below, Arthur heard the tell-tale creak on the stairs that many years of parenthood had taught him meant that at least one of his offspring was attempting to be stealthy. However, when he heard Ron and Hermione's hushed voices and quietly excited giggles...and the scrape of the door to the back garden as it opened and closed again...he automatically relaxed.

Good for them, he thought approvingly as he pulled his Mollywobbles closer and fondly remembered those long ago nights when she would sneak away from the Prewett house to meet him at their own special spot for some alone time.
