Oct 5th: Watching the Sunrise

Simply Beautiful
Just as she had done every morning since their research expedition had started, Luna stepped out of the tent and into the crisp dawn air to admire the red and orange hues that decorated the horizon. A wide smile then appeared across her delicate features as she heard the tent flap open again and felt her husband come to stand behind her. One strong arm encircled her waist, while the other hand presented her with a cup of hot tea.
Rolf's breath tickled as he leaned closer to her ear. "Simply beautiful," he murmured.
"It is a lovely sunrise," Luna acknowledged in her usual dreamy tone as she took a sip from the cup that also warmed her chilled hands.
"That, too," Rolf agreed pleasantly. "However, I was referring to the woman in front of me."
The loving kiss that followed proceeded to warm the rest of Luna, as well, before she glimpsed something out of the corner of her eye.
"Oooh, look! Is that a Blibbering Humdinger?" she asked excitedly as she pulled away slightly to point off to the side...right before the two cryptomagizoologists rushed back inside to grab their gear.
The sunrise would have to wait.
