The Special Spell
Little Lily Luna Potter absolutely adored her godmother and namesake. She called her Auntie Luna and always spent as much time with her as possible because the wonderful woman played the best games and knew more creative spells than her own mother...or even Auntie Hermione...did. Lily especially loved to spend nights at the Scamander house because of the unique charm that Auntie Luna had accidentally discovered when she was younger that allowed her to temporarily animate her plush toys.
"I used to love this spell when I was your age. It helped me to feel less lonely - especially before I made friends with your mum and dad and the others." Auntie Luna had told her the first time in that sweet dreamy voice which Lily had always thought was very lovely, as she flicked her wand and said the special words.
Lily immediately understood...and was beyond delighted herself...when the spell made the animal-shaped pillows on her bed move and make cute animal-sound conversations with each other! Her favorite pillow, a white rabbit that looked just like Auntie Luna's patronus, even hopped on her shoulder and nuzzled her cheek.
Yes...her Auntie Luna was definitely the best!
