Well, I skipped a week just because I can and nobody can stop me. Again, very little and subtle spoilers to "Violet Ever garden".

By the way, a minor timeskip occurs between this and the previous chapter. (Couldn't find anywhere else to mention it.)

P.S: I was okay with the ending to Charlotte... :/

I woke up in the comfiest bed I could ever imagine. I slowly sat up, scratched my head.

A hangover…

At the very least, I knew I was finished with my hellish work, and much faster than I thought. Butchering the two movies, and working over night definitely were a factor in this.

I looked at the time; it was 7 pm. I slept for quite a while. No, it was more like I passed out. The moment I saved my document, the moment I told myself I could finally get some sleep, I collapsed instantly.

My body can be scary sometimes.

My shift back at the convenience store would be in a few hours, so I should be getting ready.

I'll ask Yoshikawa if she could somehow get the book published later.

I took a look at my fully charged laptop, and inspected it with suspicion.

Did someone…

No way.

I took a shower and got dressed. I was ready for the inevitable time to go to work. It was like almost every shift, but something was different. The difference was that I was finished with my first novel. I could relax as much as I wanted.

I brought my laptop to work and got started.

I sat on my counter, doing my job as always. It wasn't all that bad, and I adapted to become more efficient and quicker. However, there doesn't seem to be as many customers as before. Bored, I decided to play some Tetris online on my laptop.

Another puyo puyo player? I guess Tetris players are a bit rare these days…

I smiled as I played. The game was fun, I played it many times already. Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice.

"Yo! I'm back!" I heard the door open, and I shut my laptop.

"Onee-Sama…?" Another feminine voice called. She sounded like Beatrice from "Re:Zero".

I looked up to suddenly see a girl with pink pigtails, suddenly in my face. Defying all laws of the physics I know, she teleported in my face.

"It's you!" She glomped on me tightly, snuggling her cheeks onto mine. She was rubbing so vigorously, that my goggles fell off of my head.

S-so close!

"Ah, that's not actually… never mind, this is a funny sight to see, huh?" The long haired girl I met earlier said, amused.

"Why are you working in such a 3rd-rate job?" The girl asked me, shaking me until I was on the ground next to my goggles. "C-could it be that you are secretly blackmailed into manually paying off debts!?"

"But don't worry Onee-Sama!" She continued, getting off me. "We shall elope together!"

"Hey… come to think of it, your eyes are different from last time, right?" The cheerful girl asked.

I perked up. "Yeah! I finally got a good chance to get some sleep."

But the moment I stood up, I saw her.

"""Ah.""" She, Pigtails, and I said.

"O-onee… s-sama? You have a doppelgänger?" Pigtails asked, alternatively looking at both of us.

"Wait…" She inspected me fully. "I should've known… you aren't wearing the pins Onee-Sama usually wears, and I can tell your weight doesn't match her approximate 45.03kg…"

I get it. This is Kuroko. To think that I only just realized it. How much did you harass/stalk Mikoto to find her weight and measurements…?

The original, Mikoto, approached me quickly. She glanced at my goggles that are on the ground.

What is this situation? Should I play the part?

"…"

The silence looked by. I tried to break it.

"H-hello… sister…?" I greeted weakly.

"YOU!" Mikoto screamed. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE HOSPITAL!?" She proceeded to grab me, and pull my cheeks.

"I'm sowwy!"

"S-sister…?" A timid, new voice echoed, this time, she sounded like Yunyun from an anime called "Konosuba". She only just walked in the store quietly.

"This casual interaction…" The cheerful girl mused.

"And their looks…" Kuroko said.

The three of them came to the exact same conclusion.

"""Misaka-san, you have a twin sister!?"""

"Well, this is my younger twin sister…" Mikoto trailed off.

"Hello, my name is Miyano Misaka. People call me Misaka Imouto sometimes."

Nice, nailed the introduction. I got that name from "Tanaka-kun is always listless." Forgive me for plagiarizing so many things!

The cheerful girl shook her hands, flustered. "Oh, we could never just address you like that just because you're Misaka-san's twin sister! My name is Ruiko Saten! Nice to meet you!"

"Yeah, I'm glad to meet you too." I said. Mikoto visibly flinched towards "I'm" but she turned to look at me in surprise.

Ha! I can speak like you too y'know?

"U-um… I'm Kazari Uiharu. You can just call me Uiharu." The girl who came in last said. She had short hair, almost like a boy. Her face was nowhere near masculine though. She wore pretty flowers on her head, I could notice her trembling a bit.

"…"

Finally the last girl who had yet to introduce themselves remained silent. She looked on the floor with her bangs shading over her eyes. Suddenly, she shook wildly… like a bomb ready to explode…!

"-!"

The nice thing I knew, Kuroko was on the floor, comparable to a burnt chicken that was in the oven for too long.

I spent a good time staring at Mikoto, silently judging her.

"I know! Let's exchange numbers with Miyano!" Saten suddenly inquired.

"Y-yeah!"

"Are we just going to ignore her… or?" I asked, gesturing towards Kuroko.

"Oh, just ignore her." Mikoto said.

"I-I actually don't have a cell phone. I can let you know when I get one though.

"Sounds great!" Saten replied.

As the group began to take their leave, Mikoto leaned in to whisper to me. "Let's meet up alone after your shift, okay?"

"So?" Mikoto asked. "What's gotten into you?"

I was brought to an expensive restaurant. It was a challenge to hold myself back from all the food that was miles better than the food I made myself. A waitress suddenly placed a delicious looking bread onto the table, along with some butter on the side.

"It's in the house for you twins." She said with a smile. I stared at the food, and took a piece of bread.

"Answer my question!" Mikoto suddenly pressured me.

"Beats me." I replied, taking a bite. "I just, sort of… felt motivated."

"Like an evolution?" Mikoto asked.

"Ah, you mean Pokémon!"

"What?"

"Never mind."

"Let's start with this. How did you manage to speak normally?"

"What, do you not like this method of speaking? Misaka states looking for advice."

"No no no, quite the opposite actually…" Mikoto said hurriedly.

"I wanted a part time job, so I thought I should start speaking like almost everyone else. It took a lot of practice to break old habits though. I'm kinda embarrassed thinking about how I used to speak, weirding other people out…"

That wasn't really a lie. I ended up remembering specifically the memories of 15712.

"Well, as long as you don't cause trouble I suppose you could do what you like. But don't do anything weird with my looks though!" She said, pointing at me with authority. I figured I could tease her a little.

"Should I confess to the hero?"

"DON'T!"

Flustered, Mikoto had slammed her hands on the table. It was an amusing sight to see. I smiled, and giggled. I shamelessly laughed at the 3rd ranked esper.

Mikoto sighed, and let out a warm smile. Suddenly, she began to laugh too. We laughed together as we ate food. My older sister treated me to the most delicious foods I've tasted in the past months.

"I suppose it's about time to publish it." I muttered. I gave Yoshikawa a call, because I didn't know who else to call about it.

"…"

She's sure taking her time.

"…!"

"*sniff*…Hello?"

"Hi- wait, are you sick?"

The voice on the other line was gasping for air, hiccupping several times a second. I thought about what was up, but I couldn't gather any more information without seeing her myself.

I hesitated to speak. What should I say? 'Get well soon?' What if I misunderstand the situation?

"…"

Dead silence. Is she mad that I'm not wishing her health well? Crap! I shouldn't have hesitated!

"Y-your story…" She finally began to speak.

"Eh?"

"… is sho sad!" Yoshikawa shouted, sobbing uncontrollably.

Ehhhh?

"The protagonist, Violet… No one deserves such a life! Worst yet is that she willingly accepts it!"

I froze in dismay.

"She helps other people write letters and their emotions are just so sad too! Searching for the meaning of love… this is something you related to… right? RIGHT?"

I built up my courage. "I-is it really a good story then?"

"YES! Of course it is! In fact, I without a doubt sob uncontrollably if there were to be a live action drama based on this!"

My face lit up with relief. "T-then! Then, could you help me publish this as a novel series?!"

"Of course! I'm no professional, but It should work out in the end!"

I thought to myself. This was going to be the day. The day where people would finally recognize light novels and manga. After torturing myself for a long time, I had finally done it. It was nice that Yoshikawa found Violet Evergarden touching…

Wait a minute.

"By the way, where did you get to read my story?"

"O-oh…"

Busted.

It had never occurred to me that Yoshikawa would have paid much more attention to me then I had imagined. So, it was a complete surprise for her of all people to read the first of my masterpieces.

Well, at least she enjoyed it. I think I can be a little more comfortable about sending it out to the world.

But…

"It's a little rude to snoop into other people's things, isn't it!?" I said out loud to Yoshikawa. She winced in response, in a crouching position.

Here I was, in Yoshikawa's place. She apologized to me countless times, but I still can't help but feel irritated.

"Ahahaha!" A new voice laughed out loud. "I didn't think I would be seeing a kid giving you a scolding!"

The new voice came out of a fit, woman with glamorous proportions. She had her hair tied backwards completely straight. I remembered her as one of the more experienced members of Anti-Skill.

"Oh give me a break." Yoshikawa comedically cried, her eyes were still tearful.

The new woman, which I remembered to be Yomikawa. She had a bright smile on her face, until I remembered something.

"Where's Last Order and Accelerator?" I asked.

"Oh, the little girl wanted something that appeared in the commercial, and she dragged Accelerator out of the place with her."

Number 1 just can't catch a break, huh?

Well, this is somewhat a good thing. I think the number one esper is badass, but he would be terrifying to meet.

"So… you're the interesting defect Yoshikawa was talking about!" Yomikawa said, slapping me in the back several times.

She plays a little rough.

"So anyway, what brings you here?" Yomikawa asked.

I perked up, and straightened my back. "I, uh, wrote a book. And now I want to find someone to publish it."

Yomikawa's eyes widened in surprise. "You wrote a book?"

I silently nodded.

"Geez, are kids passionate, or what?" She said to herself scratching her head. "Have you at least thought of a pen name?" She asked.

I paused. That's right. A pen name…

My pen name has to be meaningful, something that connotates to something. I shouldn't make some really dumb reference…

"Kira." I said, my lips moved on their own.

I immediately slapped myself in the face with the palm of my hand. So hard that I fell over.

"A-are you okay?" Yoshikawa asked, confused yet concerned.

I got up, and rubbed my cheek. "Uh, yeah. My pen name will be Ayaka Hiiragi."

"Surprisingly normal…"

I silently cried. My pen name could have been so much cooler, too!

"Well, I'll plug your email in, you should get an email from anyone who is interested in publishing your book." Yoshikawa said. "You can go home and relax, I'll eventually be able to figure it out."

"Oh, are you sure?" I said uneasily. "Thank you very much!" I said after their nod of approval. It was quite the distance, but I should walk just fine. I smiled.

This is going to be a great day!

As I turned to leave, I opened the door to witness a pale boy, with red eyes, glaring at me face to face. My face stiffened.

This is going to be a scary day!
