Disclaimer: I don't own the Avengers

Halloween Fun:

It was a beautiful fall day in New York. The leaves were changing colors, and the air was getting colder; it was a phenomenon that fascinated Wanda Maximoff. Sure, Hydra had taught her about the changing seasons, but actually seeing it with her own eyes wowed her. However, there was one thing about this season that confused her. Like, why everyone in the city was decorating their businesses with strange-looking decorations.

The Avenger's tower had been decked out in these strange decorations even. Wanda explored the tower for hours, looking at all these strange things wondering what they were for. Hydra had taught nothing about this. So here she was now, in the living room, wondering who she could ask without looking stupid.

As it turned out, she didn't have to find anyone because Natasha and Clint walked in. The sorceress noted the archer appeared a little more excited than usual. She turned to Natasha for an answer. "What's gotten into him?" she asked.

The spy smiled and shook her head. "Oh, nothing much. He's just excited because Halloween is almost here," she said.

Clint rubbed his hands together and chuckled. "Or as I like to call it, free candy day," he said.

Wanda's face scrunched up in confusion. "What's that?" she asked.

Clint froze and looked at her in horror the moment the words left her mouth. "Repeat that Wanda?" he said.

Wanda looked at him, confused. "I asked, what is Halloween?" she said.

The archer just stared at her in silence and then…

Five minutes later:

Clint was hugging Natasha. "Nat, she doesn't know what Halloween is," he said, sobbing into the spy.

Natasha looked like she could not care less, but comforted the archer by patting his back. Wanda just looked confused as hell about why he was acting like this. "Did I say something wrong?" she asked.

Clint looked up from Nat's shoulder, looking offended. "Yes, you said something wrong! How in the world don't you know what Halloween is? Didn't Hydra teach you anything about holidays?" he asked, astounded at the idea of someone not knowing what the holiday was.

Wanda tilted her head. "Uh, no?" she said.

Clint pushed away from Natasha and began waving his arms together hysterically. "Ugh! This is unacceptable! I can't allow this," he said, pacing back and forth, which was freaking the poor witch out a little.

Finally, he stopped and pointed at Wanda. "You! You are going to come trick or treating with my family this year. No buts about it!" he said.

Wanda blinked at him, then at Natasha, who just shrugged. "Okay? she said, not exactly sure why the man was making such a big deal about this but, whatever. "So what's so great about this Halloween, besides the free candy part?" she asked.

Clint looked at her gleefully. "Well, for one, I can go out as my true self," he said, puffing his chest out.

The girl quirked an eyebrow. "You mean Clint Barton?" she said, confused why going out as yourself was so great.

Clint laughed. "Nope, Hawkeye," he said.

Wanda's eyes widened. "But isn't that dangerous? What if your enemies recognize you?" she said, shocked that Clint would risk his safety like that.

The archer smiled widely. "Nope! You see dear, that's the beauty of Halloween. Everybody will be dressed up, so no one will suspect that I'm the real Hawkeye. Plus, Avenger costumes are trending right now," he said.

Wanda looked curious. "Can I dress up?" she asked.

Clint nodded. "On Halloween, you can. Oh, wait, we need to take you costume shopping. Unless, you know, you want to go as yourself. That's cool too," he said.

Wanda thought about it for a minute before she shook her head. "No, I think I'd like to dress up as someone different. I think I'd like to go as the Black Widow," she said, smirking.

The archer sagged his shoulders. "Of course you do," he said.

So Wanda got to experience her first Halloween, which turned her into a hardcore fan.
