Chapter. 25

Buckle up guys, the final chapter of this part of the story. Not much to say besides I hope you all enjoy and would consider commenting and/or critiqueing down below.

Heidi was running hard. Running so hard that her lungs hurt when they had to exhale the cold air. She couldn't be bothered to care.

The same sentences kept running through her head.

"Cut that shit out. I'm not fucking like that. God, if you would just listen to me it wouldn't be like this!"Kenny said in Heidi's head

Heidi's legs kept carrying her through the rain. She decdied to run to the only place she felt face. Home.

"NO, FUCK YOU! WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS SO COMPLICATED?! IM BOTH OF THE GUYS YOU LIKE. SO FUCKING WHY ARE YOU BEING LIKE THIS?!"Kenny's words rang through her head

Heidi couldn't tell the difference between the tears in her eyes and the rain coming down. Both were bilinding her.

"WHAT? Because I'm protecting you from the truth?"Kenny words added

Heidi knew that there would be repercussions for coming home and telling her parents. But once agin, she didn't care. She just needed to get away from the disaster she had just created.

"WELL THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T BE SUCH A DUMB, PATHETIC BITCH!"Kenny words rang once more.

As her throughts finished, Heidi's foot slid and she tripped onto the ground. Heidi had manged to save her face from making hard contact with ground by using her arms to shield her face.

Although she had no injuries, Heidi procceded to cry as each and every word of her argument with Kenny kept repeating through her head.

"You wouldn't understand…how could you understand."Heidi said to herself as she cried

Heidi picked herself up and looked to see that her house was only a block away.

She deduced to walk rather than run. But she held her arms to herself and kept her head low as she continued to cry.

Eventually, Heidi arrived at the doorway of her pink house. She opened to avoid any suprise from her parents being pissed that she left without telling them. Heidi didn't need anymore suprises.

After entering, she made her way up the stair case to her room. She noticed that the light in her parents bedroom was on. Probably indicating that her mom was in there. Heidi peeked in to find her mother sleeping. Snoring pretty loud as well. Her father appeared to be closing up shop. That or looking for Heidi.

Heidi went to her room and stripped off her wet cloths and put on a outfit that was more suitable for sleeping in. She also decdied to grab a towel to dry her hair.

Upon doing this, she remembered that her phone was in her pants pocket. Heidi pulled four her phone and quickly went to contacts. There was zero messages.

She decided that it was best to tell her dad that she had left as to not worry him.

"Hey dad...left a little early because I didn't feel well. Sorry that I didn't tell you. Love you!"Heidis text read

Heidi procceded to put her phone on her night stand. Once she was next to her bed, Heidi fell on top of it and rolled her self into her blankets. After laying her head on a pillow, Heidi turned to look at a wall. Heidi's room wasn't the most decorative so her walls remained mostly blank with the exception of a few posters and photos. Besides that she liked her space. It's probably the reason Heidi decdied to run rather than retort to Kenny.

The thought of him made Heidi's eyes well with tears.

Heidi just couldn't understand it. Why did people have to lie to her? Specifically, people she had romantic feelings.

Sure, being a vigilante had its risks. Heidi knew that. But to be two different people and confuse them with your sudden reveal is quiet shocking.

And Heidi couldn't help but feel that this action felt simple to something Cartman would do. And maybe Kenny's reasons were justified.

But if you love and care about someone the way Kenny had conveyed to Heidi, he shouldn't be afraid to tell her the truth. Especially if he isn't hiding something larger right? Maybe Heidi was just holding herself higher than she should have.

Still, despite being aware of what Kenny's side maybe, Heidi had still fucked up. Through comparing him to Cartman and seemingly ignorant of any Kenny's supposed reasoning, Heidi had pushed Kenny to say words that knew would hurt her.

It was all Heidi's fault, and she didn't want to admit it to Kenny. Just like how she didn't want to admit that she fucked up with Eric and doubling down.

It just seems like a cycle to her. And it didn't matter who was in it. Unlikable fat bastard or a boy trying to help someone he had just met.

"It's just me...it's always been me ruining things. Good or bad."Heidi said to herself as tears began to stream down her cheeks.

"Why do I keep doing this…"Heidi said as she rolled onto her back and put her hands to her face.

*tap*

Heidi was locked into her loathing until she heard something hit her window. She looked up for a second and saw nothing. Heidi just turned away from the window.

*tap*

Heidi looked again to once again see nothing at all. She had stopped crying and was just a little confused as to what was messing with her window.

*tap*

Curious, confused, and looking from a distraction from her thoughts on her mistakes, Heidi got up and walked toward the window. She moved the shades and saw nothing.

It had stopped raining. But that was the only notable change. Maybe water was hitting her window.

Heidi procceded to make her way back to her bed and grabbed the covers.

*bop!*

Whatever was hitting her window was getting louder and/or bigger. It was starting to annoy Heidi.

Heidi approached the window once agin. But this time, she decided to open the window. After moving the shades and pulling the window upward, she found to see Kenny standing next to the window.

He had no mask, no hood. Just the remaining parts of the Mysterion outfit.

"Ummm...hey. Kinda guessed you'd come here...obviously..because it is your house.."Kenny said

awkwardly

He looked and sounded pitiful but Heidi wasn't roused.

"Is he here to apologize?"Heidi thought

Similar to Cartman, it seems like Kenny wanted to patch things up after he made a mistake.

It was all to familiar to Heidi. The I'm sorry shtick. And in cartmans case, self harm was threatend. But unlike Cartman, Kenny wasn't a bumbling mess. He just looked down at the tile of the roof with a regretful look.

Still the old feelings lingered thanks to foundation Cartman had cemented.

"Heidi I-

"Don't you say it. Don't you fucking say it."Heidi as she exited the window and walked toward Kenny on the roof.

She approached Kenny with a finger pointed directly at him.

"I'm not dumb okay. I know what I was doing was insulting. Hell even, selfish. But with the way you left at the pond and just show looking up like that and drop a bomb shell like that. And the fact you hid it from me…"

"Heidi you-

Heidi cut Kenny of once more. She kept walking towards Kenny and was inches from him. Kenny kept backing up. Getting closer to the edge of the roof.

"No! I know I can be a dumb bitch. I know I can be pathetic too. But that doesn't give you a reason to hide stuff from me. And ya, I'm gonna be honest. It's the kind of thing Cartman would do. It doesn't matter the reason."Heidi continued

"Heidi cmon, we can-

Heidi grew a little angrier with Kenny seeming to try and make excuses.

"No Kenny! You don't get it! It just all feels to sinalr to me! I don't want to make the same, stupid mistakes again! Do you understand?"

Kenny looked back to see the edge of the roof was in meet inches. It didn't help that Heidi's rage seemed to keep him from stopping himself. Kenny decided turn himself so he was parallel with the edge. In doing this Heidi just kept walking.

"And if I have to sacrifice what I have with you to prove to myself that I'm not doing the same shit, I'll-

Heidi was caught off by feeling her foot slip on the wet roof and gravity did the rest. Heidi was begging to calm of her roof.

But as many times before, someone caught her.

Kenny had her hand and pulled her into his chest.

"What did I tell you about standing close to ledges."Kenny said in his normal, non Mysterion voice.

Heidi made eye contact with Kenny and than looked away. She didn't have the heart to look him the eye. She began to cry. Heidi then procceded to grab Kenny and hold him in a hug.

Kenny didn't move her or anything and just let her cry it out. When she had her fill, she broke apart from Kenny and motioned for him to sit.

Kenny and Heidi sat thier with a silence. But not an awkward one.

Even so, Kenny chose to break it.

"Sorry if it seemed wrong to use that line after everything. I just didn't know how else to prove to you that I truly am Mysterion."Kenny said

"It's okay. I knew you were telling the truth. I just didn't want to believe it."Heidi responded

"Do you mind if I ask why?"Kenny questioned

"No, it's fine. Because it reminded me of the kind of behavior Cartman use to par take in. And I don't want to believe that I was making the same mistakes again."Heidi said

Heidi pulled her knees into her chest. Only her head was visible.

Kenny exhaled. He needed air for what he was gonna say.

"Heidi…your better than that. People are better than their mistakes and descions. Like ya, I fucked up, okay. But I like to think it was to help you, not hurt you. I understand that you feel like your treading past mistakes with someone new. But Heidi, I like to think me and my descions than Cartman."Kenny said

"You are Kenny. It's just that...I'm not better than who I use to be. Meanwhile, your a hero that saves people. And I'm just me."Heidi followed up

"Well what about-

"I know what I said in the alley. Like I said I'm just an idiot that made another mistake in her long line of mistakes. You've had to change and evolve in order to help others. But I've just...stayed the same."Heidi said after cutting Kenny off.

Kenny stood up.

"What you think I was super hyped about everyday before I met you? No, shit sucked….but then, you gave me something to look forward to. Something to live for...and everything I said at the pond, it's the truth. And I know damn well your friends and family would agree with me. I've made alot of mistakes Heidi. And you aren't one of them. Your more to me...then you could ever understand."Kenny said

Heidi looked at Kenny with suprise. Still tears in her eyes but in a less dramatic fashion.

"Kenny…"Heidi barely managed to get out.

Kenny offered Heidi a hand up. Heidi took and dried her eyes.

"I'm sorry...I shouldn't have-

"It's okay. I shouldn't have lied to you. I'm sorry."Kenny said as he cut off Heidi.

Heidi giggled.

"Don't worry. Nobodies perfect."Heidi responded

"Alright, are we cool?"Kenny asked

"Ya, we're cool….do you mind if I ask you something?"Heidi asked as she took a seat back on the tile of her roof.

"Not at all. What's up?"Kenny said as he took a seat next to her.

"Why did you become a hero?"

Kenny actually had to think about this.

Was it because he was immortal? No chance of dying permentaly means that their is no risk death at all. Making it easier to do what needed to be done. But still, dying hurt and he did miss out on a lot when he was "away".

Was it because he wanted to help people? Afterall, he had some good mentors like chef and Kyle to show him how to handle moral delimas. And it did feel good to help others. Especially those close to Kenny like Karen and the like. But still, all that sounded a bit too self righteous for Kenny. He liked to think he was humbler than that.

Was it because he liked to punch people? It was cathartic. But could easily be seen as sadistic.

Kenny didn't really have an answer but maybe summarizeing might help.

"I honestly don't have a much of an answer. I mean it's nice to help people and punch someone who deserves it but I don't think it's really anything like that. Well, when I first started, Cartman was trying o be a vigilante. And knowing him, he'd only do it to benefit himself. I guess I just wanted to counter that. Hell..I don't know…"Kenny said

Heidi smiled

"Well, maybe you were just meant to."Heidi said with a smile

"What? Like destiny or something?"Kenny replied

"Ya. Like your meant to be here."Heidi said

This got Kenny's gears turning in his head. Maybe destiny gave him immortality to help people. But then, why would they forget?

Kenny shook his head and just smiled back at Heidi.

"You maybe onto something ."Kenny said

"I'm smarter than I look ."Heidi said

The pair looked at the moon as it was unveiled by the clouds. Kenny looked toward Heidi and noticed her features. She did look a bit fatigued. No doubt as result of the stressful day combined with a bit of emtional trauma.

Kenny was just happy that he was able to mend his mistake with Heidi. He didn't want there to be awkward air between them.

Afterall, he had feelings for her and wanted her to be happy no matter what.

Kenny figured that Heidi was as drained as he was if not more so. It was time for him to take his leave.

Kenny stood up and offered a hand to Heidi. She once again accepts.

"I should get going...we've both had a stressful day...sorry about that."Kenny said

"Well I'm at fault just as much as you so…"Heidi added

"There you go blaming your self agin."Kenny replies

Heidi just roll her eyes. After which she offers Kenny a hug.

Kenny accepts. It's brief but sweet after everything they went through.

After breaking the hug, Heidi grabs Kenny's hands.

Kenny is suprised by the sudden grab.

Heidi offers her pinki to Kenny.

"Promise me. You have to promise. Promise to never hide something so important again. I'll promise too. Please."Heidi said

Maybe it was the way she looked in the moonlight. Maybe it was she said it. Maybe it was they way she smiled or the way she laughed. Regardless, Kenny's mind came to one idea.

"Fuck it."Kenny said

Heidi developed a confused looked. She wasn't expecting such a comment.

And as quickly as she made that face, Kenny pulled Heidi in close and placed his lips against Heidi's.

The kiss didn't last very long. Maybe only a few seconds at most.

Kenny broke off from it as quickly as he connected it. Upon looking at Heidi, she appeared as she had been sun burned.

Kenny should have known better as to force a kiss on someone.

"Shit..Heidi,I'm sorry I shoulda-

And as quickly as he pulled her into kiss, Heidi locked her lips with Kenny's.

This kiss lasted a bit longer than the last. But both parties broke it off.

"You better be sorry. You should have kissed me sooner."Heidi said

Kenny laughed.

Heidi than put her head to Kenny's chest.

"You promise. Right?"Heidi said as she put her arm around Kenny's waist

"Of course, I promise."Kenny said

All things considered, Kenny may not be able to keep such a promise. But considering all he has left to hide is something so unbelievable, it may have to be something that comes with time. And seeing as he did try to tell her after the whole episode with Cartman, he may not even be lying to her.

But none of that mattered right now. It was just Kenny and the girl he loved under moon light.

Heidi pulled her face from Kenny's chest to reveal tears.

"Heidi?"Kenny said with concern.

"Sorry, I'm just so happy right now. It's you and me now Kenny."Heidi replied

"Yes Heidi. Till the bitter end."Kenny said with a smile.

Holy shit….boom. I hope you all have enjoyed this fic. Like I said, there will be multiple parts to this fic and I will release an update before addressing what will going on in the next part. Yes, you will get to see Heidi and Kenny in a relationship setting. I had a great time writing all this for you and have appreciated all the support as well as critiques. I was originally never gonna publish this and just write for myself. But I figured some people might enjoy this seeing as KennyxHeidi is totally crack as well as nonextistent within the South Park shipping community. I do hope that may change because I love both characters and would love to see other peoples intpretation of their relationship. Anywhale, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and would consider commenting and critiquing down below. I hope you all have a nice day(or night based on where you live :)
