Update for pt.2 of till the bitter end.
Hello y'all, hope you all are doing well. I decided to to an update as I feel like I need to explain some changes head of time regarding Till the bitter end. I always had a vision for this fic and I feel like I have set some stuff up. However, I feel that combining certain parts of this fic would cause significant confusion as the tone would change and make it feel like an enotirely different fic altogether. I'm also going to be addressing certain aspects that I introduced as well as some that I didn't.
title of this fic, "Till the Bitter End.", represents the idea of sticking by someone until an eventual end that people reach. Regardless if that is through death or some other means. So far, I've mainly applied it to Heidi and Kenny's relationship. But I will apply to other characters. As I said when started this fic, relationships don't have to be romantic to be interesting. The tension and conflict between friends, enemies, and family can be just as interesting. That is why I'm going to have a more action/drama vibe at this point in the fic. It makes it easier to address and talk about things like that when those themes are incorporated. Although parts of a romcom will still be included.
2. I've gone on a back and forth with myself and have considered if I should continue adding to this publisher story or if I should publish and update a new story and call it "Till the bitter end vol.2". It would start where I left off so no difference really. This is where I would need readers to comment and tell which they prefer. If I were to publish a new story or(more rather a sequel. Although it's part of the same overarching plot lines that have been set up so not quiet a full sequel.), it would be easier to distinguish which part of the story you would be reading. Allowing for you to read the arc you prefer. Whereas, it would just be easier for me to update the existing story. I just want make it's easy for my readers to have access to the story for the people already following it.
Now with all the structural things out of the way, allow me to address some narrative things as well as some comments I have received.
and Heidi's relationship will still be showcased in the story to a decent extent. However, there are some other plot threads I'd like to explore in more detail. So the relationship may feel that it has taken a back seat. I will do my best to make sure that Heidi and Kenny will receive the fluff they deserve.
will be fight scenes. They will described in detail and I can't wait to write them.
3.I have received some comments saying that I should show Kenny's immortality and time reversal ability. As interesting as that would be narratively, it would undo everything I have built up till now. When I was writing this story, I never really planned on Kenny having to revive as I felt that it would obstruct the other plot lines such as Kenny and Heidi becoming a couple as well as cartmans nefarious plan. That being said, I think it would be cool to see but I don't know if I have the ability and time to write in such a complex story...sorry.
4.I will do my own head canon of how Kenny attained his trade mark immortality. I know nothing of what the actual South Park crew have in mind and mine is purely my own head canon based on hints and conclusion from the series. I have no official word over anything that happens on the canon of south pro and therefore, what I say shouldn't be takin as such.
