"Oh Harry, it's too awful!" Hermione cried as she ran into the common room, shortly followed by Ron. He turned to her curiously from the sofa in front of the fire. "They've arrested the Headmaster!"

"And?"

"We need to do something!" she retorted as Ron plonked down beside Harry.

"Why?"

"Obviously, Fudge is just trying to-"

"So you don't trust Aurors to do their jobs?"

"Well, of course I do."

"Then they probably have evidence," he spoke pointedly.

"But it's wrong!"

Harry's head tilted. "Why?"

"It's Albus Dumbledore," Rob piped up.

"So because he did great actions before, we should ignore when he commits crimes now?"

"No," they replied immediately. "But-" Hermione objected and cut off when Harry held up a hand. He cast a silencing charm and she sat. "What is it Harry?"

"I need the two of you to swear on your magic that you won't reveal what I'm about to," he spoke fervently.

Ron raised his wand hand. "I swear on my magic not to do so," he vowed solemnly.

Hermione bit her bottom lip before straightening. "I swear upon my magic not to reveal what you are about to say to anyone in any manner," she vowed.

Ron rolled his eyes before they both turned their attention to Harry. "'Mr H Potter, The cupboard under the stairs'," he quoted.

Hermione gasped while Ron paled. "Dumbledore writes out all the envelopes," he spoke, aghast. "Why didn't you ever say anything?"

"After that, they moved me into Dudley's second bedroom."

"But ten years," Hermione spoke, horrified.

"'Mione-" he cut off as she threw her arms around his neck.

"I promise, I wouldn't have shared it, even without the vow," she spoke fervently, letting out a sigh as he wrapped his arms around her.

Ron placed a hand on both of their shoulders. "Neither would I."

"Go ahead and cry 'Mione," Harry breathed.

"Oh but-"

"I can't," he interrupted, "do it for me," he urged. With a hitched breath, she began to cry. Ron shifted so that he was hugging them both, as Harry stroked her back. "Thank you," he breathed, and lay his head atop hers.

Hermione pulled back as her tears abated, and Harry dried her face with a flex of magic. "Thanks," she breathed. She licked her lips. "Does being with Draco make you happy?"

"Yes," he replied warmly.

"Okay," she breathed, nodding.

They both turned their attention to Ron who held up his hands in surrender. "Hey, I'd already seen that it did, and decided to be supportive until that changed. If," he corrected hastily. Hermione's eyebrows rose dubiously. "If he can discard his father's ideals to be with Harry, then I can discard the animosity we shared before this point," he spoke seriously. His lips curved upward. "The two of you really work well together," he stated. "Like my Mum and Dad. I wouldn't take that away from you."

"Thanks," Harry breathed.

"That was rather sweet Ronald," Hermione murmured and Ron blushed.

"Yeah, well, it was the truth," he retorted, flustered and Harry grinned. "What?" he asked defensively.

Harry gave his hand a squeeze. "Just glad you're my friend."

Harry made his way down the main staircase to the Great Hall with Ron and Hermione and came to a sudden halt. Ron pulled up before he ploughed into his back – without protest. "Sirius!" Harry cried and launched himself into his godfather's open arms.

"I'm finally a free man Prongslet!" he declared and lifted up his godson and spun him in a delighted circle. He came to a stop and set the teen back down on his feet. "Will you come and live with me?" he asked seriously.

"Absolutely," he declared with a bright smile. He noted Severus over his godfather's shoulder. 'Thank you,' he mouthed, waiting for the Potions Master to incline his head, before he hugged his godfather tight.

Sirius wrapped his arms around his godson, resting his chin atop the teen's wild mane. "We can finally be a proper, official, family," he breathed, knowing that he would do anything he had to, to ensure the safety and happiness of that family, most especially his godson.
