MAY 19TH, 2161

CENTRAL CITY

CC JITTERS

Eobard fumbled with his fingers nervously as he looked straight into Giana's eyes. This was the girl that he had a crush on since 3rd Grade and here he was on their date, struggling to find something to talk about.

"Um...hi." he said, hoping to cut the awkwardness that was between them. Unfortunately for him, 'hi' was not the best way to go considering the fact that he said that to her fifteen minutes ago when they met at the entrance.

"Uh, hi?" Giana answered uncertainly.

Eobard sighed as he played with the right sleeve of his denim jacket. This was a mistake. He shouldn't have asked her out on a date. They just started hanging out as friends just a week ago after his debacle with his now ex-bullies. Plus, she was the mayor's daughter, which was technically royalty given the times they were in.

It's not that Eobard was from a poor home, he was actually in a family who had a long ancestry of popular people who had achieved a lot of good things either for Central City or America in general. The problem was that he totally sucked in speaking to girls/women in general except for his mother an older sister who was currently in Harvard. This was not going to work.

"Sorry, Gi." Eobard apologized.

"For what?" Giana asked.

"For...bringing you here...you know, for this...date." Eobard said, trying to find the right words to explain his point.

"Why should you be sorry?" Giana asked Eobard with a smile.

"Um, because this date is a total mess?" Eobard answered uncertainly.

Giana giggled at him.

"What?" Eobard asked, not sure of what was going on.

"Who said that this date is a total mess?" Giana asked with a smile.

"Uhhhh..."

"Of course it isn't, silly. We haven't even started this date and you are already giving up?" Giana continued.

"It's just that, you know, I'm terrible at this and to be honest I have never been on a date in my whole life." Eobard explained a bit shyly.

"Really?" Giana asked, giggling in surprise.

"Yeah. The closest thing have had to a date is dinner with my mom over here." Eobard added, gesturing to the place they were in.

"So, you're a regular at Jitters?"

"Um if you'll like to call it regular, then yeah. you can say that."

"Schway! Then that means you know the best dish in the place." Giana said excitedly, opening the menu. "So what do you suggest we eat this evening?"

"Um," Eobard said sputtering, fumbling as he opened the menu to take a look at the available food, "I think you should take the Killer Frost special. It's cold and icy but sweet and delicious."

"It sounds like ice cream." Giana said, raising her eyebrow thoughtfully.

"That's because it is and it's not." Eobard said with a smirk.

"Huh?" Giana said in confusion.

"You'll see." Eobard said before calling a waitress.

A few minutes later, Giana was trying her best not to gobble up all her food. If she had to give a verdict on the food, it was getting a 1000%. It was just too good to get a 100%. Within five minutes, she had finished up all of it and her mouth was watering for more. She was quite surprised by this since she usually spent about ten to fifteen minutes eating, with the fastest being an old family recipe which she finished in eight minutes.

"I have to admit Eobard but this is delicious." she said. "Thanks."

Eobard smiled at her, proud that she had enjoyed it. "You're welcome."

Giana shifted uncomfortably as she watched Eobard eat his food. She didn't know why nut it was almost as if the food was calling for her.

"Want to try some of mine?" Eobard asked with a smile, noticing how she was deeply staring into his food. "I don't think I would be able to finish mine and I might need some help."

"Sure." Giana said, taking a spoon and dipping it into the food. "Thanks again."

"You're welcome, Gi." Eobard answered, before joining her and exchanging words as a conversation took place. The evening had started off a bit poor, but now it was getting better. And nothing was going to destroy it for him.

PRESENT DAY

ABANDONED WAREHOUSE

Darkness.

It was the only thing that Caitlin could see as consciousness slowly took over her. Her face, as well as the rest of her body, was against something cold, hard and smooth. Her mind quickly interpreted it to be the floor. She tried to raising her head only to be hit by a throbbing headache. She tried wincing her eyes in pain when she suddenly noticed that something was on them. It was then that she digested that she had been blindfolded. Her arms and legs had also been tied together making it difficult for her to move.

It was then that she pieced everything together.

She had been kidnapped.

"Help!" she managed to scream, only to cough in the process. She cleared her throat and tried again. "Help!"

"No one's going to hear you, my beloved Caitlin." a chilly voice, causing her to jump in fright.

Caitlin tried to turn her head frantically to identify where the sound was coming from, but then she was unable to do so with her legs and arms tied together.

"Sorry for the ropes. I just needed to be a bit more cautious." the voice said, sending chills all over her spine.

"Who are you?!" Caitlin demanded, half-yelling and half-screaming. "What is it you that you want from me?"

"Straight to the point, eh?" the voice asked her. The voice seemed so familiar but yet she couldn't put a finger to it. "You know, you've always had this knack of always going write to the point. As much as it can be annoying, it's also quite charming. I can see why Allen likes you so much part from your body and all."

Caitlin immediately froze. He had just mentioned Barry's name and the way he mentioned it, it was almost as if he knew Barry. Almost as if they were close.

"You know something, Dr Snow?" the voice said, followed by the sound of what Caitlin guessed to be a glass, clink on the table. "I've always admired you. Your hair, face, skin..."

A chill crept on Caitlin's spine as her captor kept talking.

"There are a lot of reasons why I admire you." her captor continued, this time a bit more closer. "And believe me, I didn't want to do anything to you."

A cold hand suddenly caressed her cheek causing Caitlin to jerk back in fear. A cold chuckle escaped Caitlin's captor's lips sending more chills to her spine.

"Don't be scared honey. I'm not going to hurt you." the voice said coldly, planting a kiss on Caitlin's forehead. Caitlin moved away in fear as she felt the man's hot breadth o her face.

"Help me, Barry. Help me." Caitlin cried mentally, tears attempting to escape her eyes.

A hand suddenly made its way to her face, removing the blindfold and revealing who her captor was. The moment Caitlin laid her eyes on him, her mouth opened in shock.

"How's it going, Dr Snow? Love the view." Darryl said with a smirk.

"C-c-captain Frye?" Caitlin stammered in shock. Suddenly, Darryl raised a hand at her and sent his fist straight to her cheek. Caitlin landed on the cold floor, blood oozing from her nose as the world around her went black.

CENTRAL CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL

Barry got out of his car with a mixture of worry and anxiety and was met by a cold harsh wind of an upcoming winter. About half an hour ago, he had opened his phone, which had been on silent, to find a whole number of missed calls from Nyssa. He had called her back and she had told him that Bart had fainted after getting a migraine which coincidentally, had affected the lighting system in the school. And this could only mean one thing, Bart's powers had gone haywire.

Barry sighed as he opened the doors of the school, he hoped that Bart was fine. Barry had never seen or found anyone connected to the Negative Speed Force apart from Eobard Thawne and Nora. Eobard had already gotten full control of his speed at the time Barry had seen him use it but Nora, she was uncontrollably uncontrollable. He had found it difficult to get through her and when he did, she had been erased from the timeline.

Barry suddenly felt uneasy when he remembered what had happened to Nora, but he assured himself that he was not going to lose Bart. He may have met him a couple of months ago but in the end, he was his son and nothing was going to change it.

"Mr Allen!" a feminine voice called out from behind him, interrupting his thoughts. He turned to see Sarah Hayford, Bart's classroom teacher, walking towards him. "I'm so glad you could make it here. We were wondering if you or Dr Snow were ever going to arrive."

"You called Caitlin?" Barry asked in surprise.

"Actually, Ms Raatko did about two hours ago. According to her, Dr Snow said she was going to come but so far, she hasn't made it yet." Ms Hayford answered. "But now that you are here, you can now attend to your son."

She led Barry through a corridor to a door. "Bart's in there. As much as I would like to be here I have to go to my classroom. Your son caused quite a chaos after he fainted and I need to calm things down." the teacher explained.

"It's alright, I understand." Barry said.

"Thanks. Also we have the gym teacher with him. She managed to stabilize your son after he became unconscious." the teacher added. "The school nurse took the week off to visit her family so she couldn't be here to nurse him."

"It's okay." Barry said understandably. "Thanks for looking after him."

"You're welcome, Mr Allen." the teacher said with a smile before leaving Barry alone. Barry took a deep breadth and opened the door to the room. He found his son quietly sleeping with Nyssa at his side.

"Hey." he greeted, taking a seat opposite her so that they sat side by side with Bart.

"Hey. How's it going?"

"Great." Barry replied. "Cecile managed to get my dad get a trial tomorrow so we will be able present the evidence to the court."

"That's great." Nyssa said with a smile, happy for him.

"How is he?" Barry whispered to Nyssa in Arabic as he held Bart's hand. Barry had used his super speed to learn several languages over the course of the last few months, one of them being Arabic. Because of Nyssa's origin, he mostly spoke to her in Arabic when they were alone in order to be more familiar with the language. It was also the same way that he spoke Spanish with Cisco on some occasions to make himself more familiar with the language and truth be told, it was working.

"He's okay." Nyssa answered softly. "We manage to stabilize him after his seizure. They wanted to send him to the hospital but I mentioned that you permitted for him not to be sent until they have received your permission."

"Thanks." Barry said, rubbing his son's knuckles gently. He and Caitlin had decided that Bart shouldn't be in a hospital for the mean time until they found someone they could trust. Their reason was because they were afraid of doctors discovering that Bart had powers through his blood type (which was a meta's). Barry had contacted Kate and she had a friend that could be Bart's doctor (along with Caitlin of course) and not reveal his powers. Barry was a bit eager to meet with her because she was going to stay with he and his family and he wanted to know who she was. Hopefully, they would meet up with her soon.

A ringtone suddenly broke the silence that had built up. Barry took out his phone to see who it was.

James Forrest.

He excused himself and quietly left the room to answer his call.

"Hello?"

"Allen, hey, I'm glad you answered the phone." James said from the other side of the line. "Listen, I'm going to make this quick okay?"

"Sure." Barry said, not sure of what was going on.

"I need you to get to your childhood home. There's something I got to tell you about Darryl." James said anxiously on the other end. "It has to do with your mother and I really think it can help you get your dad from jail."

Barry stood in the middle of the corridor quietly and unsure of what to do. "Excuse me, you said that you have to say something about Darryl and it has to do with..."

"Your mother." James finished. "Look I don't have a lot of time and I think that Darryl suspects me, okay? I need you to come as soon as you can or else Darryl will find out and kill me. Please, Barry. I need you to come immediately."

And as suddenly as he spoke, the line went dead. Barry stared at his phone perplexed and confused. What did Director Forrest have on Darryl that had to do with his mother? Normally, Barry would have immediately reacted and meet up with James immediately but then years of experience as the Flash as well as hanging out with Oliver, Sara, Joe and now, Nyssa had taught him otherwise.

And then he realized something.

Caitlin had still not come yet. Sarah Hayford had mentioned that Nyssa had called Caitlin two hours ago to come and check on Bart. That meant that Caitlin was supposed to be here over an hour ago. Even with traffic, she could have still made it here at least, an hour ago. STAR Labs was barely a mile away from Bart's school so she should've been here ages ago.

Barry quickly dialed Caitlin's number and called her.

"The number you are calling is currently switched o- "

He cut the call and tried again.

"The number you are calli-"

He cut it and called again desperately.

"The numb-"

Barry cut the call anxiously and ran his hand through his hair. Why wasn't she answering? And also, was her phone switched off? Caitlin was the type of person who never let her phone, tablet or any of her devices fall below 40%. So what was going on?

He took out an ear pod and placed it in his right ear.

"Gideon?" Barry called out through his ear pod.

"Yes, Barry." the AI answered in her usual ready-to-serve tone.

"Track down Caitlin's cell and find out where she is." Barry ordered the AI.

A few seconds later, Gideon responded, "According to my search and query Dr Snow is in the parking lot of Star Labs."

Barry released a sigh. She was probably setting off then, he thought. But as much as he wanted to believe it, something in his gut told him not to. Caitlin cared for Bart and loved him more than anything else in the world. She wouldn't delay two hours after learning he had fainted. She would drop everything and immediately head over to him. Barry could recall multiple times when she even left science conferences, meetings and even dinner with her family because of Bart. So why was she delaying this time? And why was her phone switched off as well?

"Gideon?"

"Yes, Barry."

"Search for Caitlin's location and tell me where she is. Something doesn't feel right. I don't know if its my gut speaking or something else but I feel as if she's in danger. I just need you to check and see if she's okay."

"On it, Barry." the AI answered.

Barry paced uncomfortably in the corridor, mentally praying that Caitlin was alright and his gut was wrong. Over the course of the last few months since he had been brought back in the new timeline, he had found himself to be in love with Caitlin in more ways than he had imagined. At first, he had decided to go with the flow of them being together in this timeline and pull back their relationship for awhile and separate for sometime for him to find himself, but as time went on, he found it to be much difficult than he could imagine.

First, there was his son's bond with Caitlin. Barry might not have been with his son for long (timelinely speaking) but he couldn't deny the fact that Bart really admired Caitlin and looked up to her. If Barry was to take a break with Caitlin, it would hurt his son a lot and that was something that Barry didn't want.

Secondly, there was Barry's own feelings for Caitlin. Before the Crisis had began in the old timeline, Barry and Caitlin had kissed at the STAR Labs rooftop and had even confessed their feelings. In this timeline, Caitlin's continuous flirt with him and their "already" relationship had made Barry's feelings for her grow in ways he couldn't imagine. He just hoped that she was doing alright and she would make it safe because he didn't know what he would do if anything happened to her.

"Barry!" Gideon yelled frantically through his ear pod, causing him to wince in pain.

"What is it, Gideon?" Barry asked frantically.

"I searched through CCTVs and street cameras and my query discovered that Dr Snow has been abducted!" the AI said worriedly.

"Where is she?!" Barry demanded.

"I tracked the car that took Dr Snow to High Drive 1st Avenue." the AI replied. "There's heavy traffic on the way but I have found the quickest route to ensure you arrive in approximately twelve minutes and 13.4 seconds at a speed of 167kmph."

Barry opened the door to the dispensary and headed straight to Nyssa.

"I need you to watch Bart for me. Caitlin is in trouble and she needs my help. Could you do that for me?" Barry said in Arabic while picking up his things, giving Bart a kiss on his forehead before heading towards the door.

"Sure. But what's the problem?!" Nyssa asked in concern.

"Caitlin has been kidnapped! I don't know but I think it might be Darryl." Barry answered stopping by the door. "I don't have time to explain but I promise to explain it to you once she's safe, okay? As much as I would need your help, I need someone to keep an eye on Bart. Maybe they might come after him too."

"Don't worry. He's safe. Now go, Caitlin needs you and you need to go and save her." Nyssa said to him, almost as if she was sacking him.

"Thanks again, Nyssa! I owe you one!" Barry said before opening the door and racing through the corridor.

Nyssa released a sigh as she stared at where Barry had been. "Save her, Barry. I really hope you do." she whispered to herself, staring at where Barry had been moments ago before sitting down beside Bart.

Barry burst out through the door and was instantly hit by the cold breeze of upcoming winter. He had to save Caitlin. He needed to save Caitlin as soon as possible before something happened to her. Since he had his speed, he was going to use it. But first, he needed to make sure no one was watching him.

"Gideon," he said through his earpiece, "I need you to hack through street cams, CCTVs, anything. I'm going to be using my speed and I don't need to have people finding out of the impossible weeks before the particle accelerator explosion or else, questions are going to arise."

"Affirmative, Barry." the AI answered. "Does that mean that you must be hidden from Eobard Thawne?"

"Yes." Barry answered, scanning the area and taking a look around him, making sure it was safe before he set off.

"Barry wait!" Gideon yelled, stopping him in his tracks.

"What is it, Gideon?" Barry asked worriedly.

"I just did a quick scan around the perimeter and I discovered that Floyd Lawton is around!" Gideon exclaimed in a surprisingly rapidly worried tone. "He appears to be a few blocks from where you are but it seems that he has set his eyes on you."

Barry looked around frantically, trying to see if he could find Floyd. He didn't know him personally but through photographs and stories from Oliver. But what was he doing here? And more importantly, why was Floyd watching him? Did it have to do with something to do with Caitlin's kidnapping?

"Where is he Gideon?" Barry asked, looking around for the assassin.

"He's at your eleven o'clock, Barry. The ninth floor of the second building and at the seventh window from your right. Exactly 1.43km from your position." Gideon informed him.

Barry turned to look at where the AI had instructed. After a second of trying to get where Gideon had instructed, he finally saw Floyd, hidden in plain site with a sniper gun aimed at Barry.

Barry wanted to run and take down Floyd with his super speed and go and save Caitlin but he decided not to. What if there were more people watching him apart from Floyd? And maybe, what if they were after Bart?

He hated not being able to do anything but he needed to act fast or else, something might happen to Caitlin.

Suddenly, he felt a vibration from his phone and quickly answered it.

"Hello?"

"Take another step and Dr Snow dies." a voice said from the other end of the line. "And if you dare try to call the cops, my sniper takes out your son."

Barry's eyes opened in shock as he noticed Floyd's gun at a distance being aimed at the exact room that Bart was in. His breathing became ragged as he stood there, immobile and unable to move. Suddenly, he felt something poke his neck. His hand reached to take out a dart that had been fired at him. But before he could react he suddenly fell down to the ground with the whole world fading away slowly.

CENTRAL CITY AIRPORT

Nineteen year old Barbara Gordon stared at the television as she ate her fries silently. Her flight had been bit tiring and she thought she could take a little bit of rest before she called her new "guardian" to pick her up. It had been over a month now since she caught Dick cheating on her and since that day, it had been nothing but clouds and rain for her.

She had been spending most of her time crying in her room and cursing herself for her crippled state. The first few days had been extremely terrible with Barbara refusing to eat or drink except cry in her bed. She had locked herself up but Alfred had managed to enter her room using a spare key of "the many he had." He and Selina had managed to get Barbara to shower and eat before letting her sleep.

When they had found out what had happened, Jason had gone to Dick's apartment and fought him until Kate and Ryan had to intervene. Alfred, Selina and Tim had managed to get Barbara to herself within two weeks. Soon after that, Barbara discovered that Gotham was becoming a nightmare for her. Everywhere she went, she was constantly filled with memories of her and Dick. From moments they had shared in the manor to the time they had spent with her family to times they had spent in the park, restaurants and many more. It had become so difficult to navigate her way about without finding anything that had to remind her of Dick.

Kate had suggested that Barbara take sometime away from Gotham to be able to cope better with her heartbreak. She had intended of sending her to National City to stay with a friend of hers called Kara. However, she had ended up deciding for her to stay with her friend, Barry Allen. According to Kate, Barry had a son who was a metahuman and was having problems controlling his powers. Kate told Barbara that Barry's son was a huge fan on Batman and would really enjoy having her around. She also mentioned that he had a knack for constantly going into the dark web and could be guided by Barbara who could show him the ropes of hacking.

Barbara sighed as she dipped her fry into the ketchup. Honestly, she didn't really see the point in all of what Kate had said but she had only accepted because she needed to get away from Gotham. Speaking of Kate, she should probably call them to inform them that she had landed.

Taking out her phone, she quickly dialed the number and called the manor's home line. A few rings later, someone answered the phone.

"Is that you Miss Gordon?" the unmistakable British accent of Alfred asked.

Barbara smiled. "How did you know it was me Alfred?"

"I calculated the time you would arrive once we saw you off at the airport, Miss Gordon. If I'm correct, you arrived exactly thirty-two minutes and fourteen seconds ago and you must be enjoying yourself at the moment with a lovely plate of fries and ketchup with no chicken." Alfred said from the other line.

Barbara released a soft laugh upon hearing Alfred's detailed prediction. "You know if you had been someone else, I would have literally have defined you as a stalker."

She could hear Alfred chuckle on the other end of the line. "I would prefer the guard but I think I'll let this one slide."

"Really?"

"Affirmative Miss Gordon." he replied. "I have always been known to be a stalker. Master Bruce used to get mad on some occasions when I "stalked" him during his teenage years."

His voice was a bit strained as he mentioned Bruce's name. It had been over a year now since Bruce had died, and even if Alfred didn't show it, he was still deeply saddened by it and considered himself guilty for his death because he had encouraged him to take on the role of Batman.

"Barbara?" Alfred called out softly from the other end of the line.

"Yes, Alfred." Barbara answered, barely above a whisper. She could hear Alfred release sigh from the other end of the line.

"Promise me you'll become happy." he said in his thick British accent. "Promise me, you'll recover from that heartbreak of yours. In the last few years I have witnessed a lot of heartaches in our family. Master Jason's death and resurrection..."

Barbara closed her eyes painfully at the memory.

"...the death of your family..."

Tears started to well up in Barbara's eyes as she recalled those memories.

"...your crippleness..."

You aren't capable.

"Master Bruce's death." Alfred said before going quiet. He had gone so quiet that Barbara was about to end the call when he suddenly continued. "All these things have happened to our family but yet we all remain strong and united but yet, each of us have our own share of demons."

Barbara bit her lip as she listened attentively to Alfred.

"What I want from you, Barbara, is to be happy." Alfred continued. "I need you to be happy and enjoy the fruits of your life. Promise me, you would be happy. Promise me."

Barbara listened to Alfred's words in silence, absorbing them. He was asking her to be happy. Could she do that? Could she be happy?

She might not know what the future laid in store for her but there was one thing that she had to do.

She had to try.

She needed to try.

"I promise," she said through the phone, "I promise you that I will be happy. And I also want you to promise me that you would also be happy Alfred. If you are happy, then I am happy as well."

She could hear a chuckle escape from Alfred's lips as he heard Barbara's words.

"That I can assure Miss Gordon." Alfred said. "I believe the young Masters Damian and Tim are actually doing a great job in keeping me happy. Although I have to say I will indeed miss you, Barbara."

Barbara smiled. "I will miss you too, Alfred."

"Take care, then. And don't forget your promise." Alfred said a bit sternly.

"I won't Alfred." Barbara replied. "Love you."

"Love you too Barbara." Alfred said before ending the call.

Barbara stared at her phone with a sad smile on her face. She was going to miss Alfred and the Bat Family very much but like Alfred said, she should be happy. And that was what she was going to do.

She picked up her phone and dialed Barry Allen's number. She had to tell him that she had arrived and was waiting for him at the airport. Before she could hit the call button, she suddenly an incoming call from the man she was just about to call. Without hesitation, she answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"Miss Gordon this is Mr Allen's AI, Gideon, and I need your help." a voice said desperately from the other end of the line.

"What's wrong?" Barbara asked frantically, wondering what it was. The next words said by the AI suddenly caused her to open her eyes wide in astonishment.

"Mr Allen is in trouble and he needs your help."

UNKNOWN LOCATION

Caitlin opened her eyes lazily as it discovered the ceiling above her. Her head still hurt from the head hit she had received earlier on and she was struggling to keep her eyes open against the blinding lights. She was lying down on something soft and smooth. Like a bed. She closed her eyes as a minor headache started, hoping to cease the pain.

"Nice to see you awake my dear."

She immediately shot up from the bed abruptly only to be pulled back down. She glanced at her right arm and noticed that it was tied to the bed. She turned to the other arm and noticed it was also tied as well.

"You like it?" Darryl asked, getting Caitlin's attention. He sat on a chair at the far end of the room, sipping a bottle of beer as he watched her cinematically. "You know they say that bondage is the best way to express one's love. It's way were people's souls become bonded. Couple's souls to be precise."

Caitlin tried to free herself from the ropes but found it futile. She tried to use her feet to raise herself upwards to the top of the bed but found it impossible as there were ropes tied to it as well. She looked at Darryl with dread and worry.

"What do you want from me?!" she demanded. "Why are you doing this?!"

A smile crept on Darryl's lips causing Caitlin to shiver. "Which question would you like me to answer?" he sneered. "The first one or the second one?"

Caitlin remained silent as her heart thumped loudly. Darryl took a sip of his beer before placing it on the floor and walking towards her. Caitlin immediately tensed as he walked up to her slowly. He knelt down beside her and placed his hand on her cheek, making Caitlin shiver with fear.

"You know you are so beautiful." Darryl said softly as he caressed her cheek. "I can see why Allen likes you."

His fingers made its way to her hair.

"I think it has to do with you hair."

He leaned forward and closed his eyes as he sniffed the fragrance of it. Caitlin breathing quickly intensified and became ragged as she felt his breath against her hair. Darryl stared at her with his cold smile still on his face.

"Or your eyes. They are like cinnamon." Darryl smirked before leaning forward and pressing a kiss on her forehead. Caitlin whimpered as his lips made its way to her forehead. "You are just so beautiful."

He looked down at the fold of her shirt as he made his way to her button. Caitlin began to shed tears as he pressed his forehead against hers.

"Please stop. I'm begging you just stop this." Caitlin begged as tears streamed down her face. "I have a son at home. I'm begging you please let me go. Just let me go and let me see my son."

Darryl smirked at her words. "Don't worry about it, Dr Snow." he said a bit mockingly. "I'm not going to hurt you. No, I'm not going to do that. I will take care of you."

He placed his hand on her cheek to dry the tears streaming down her face.

"I'm going to get us something to eat. I think it would be great if we had some lunch. I am really, really starving. When we are done, there's a story I would like to tell you. And then, we can both have the moment of our lives." Darryl said cockily before plastering a kiss on her forehead and leaving her alone in the room.

The moment Caitlin heard the door shut she released a breath she didn't know she was holding. More tears started to fall down her face as she could still feel Darryl's breath on her face.

"Help me, Barry." Caitlin prayed silently, trying not to choke on her tears. "I...I need you, Barry. Please come and save me. Come and save me."

She laid down with her arms and legs tied to bed as she wept in desperation, continuously praying that the man of her life to her rescue.

Barry immediately woke up just as his head hit something hard. His eyes desperately looked around his surroundings but the only thing he could see was darkness. He tried to get up but he noticed that his hands and legs had been tied up and he had been placed in an awkward position.

His ears could pick up the engine of a moving car. It was then that Barry realized that he was in the trunk of a car moving to God knows where. He was probably awake due to his fast metabolism which had cancelled out the effects of the dart's drug. His mind wondered as to where he was being taken too when he suddenly remembered that he had been on his way to save Caitlin before he had blacked out.

He needed to act fast.

"Gideon?" he called out to the earpiece that was still in his ear.

"Barry? Are you awake?" she asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, Gideon." he answered, rubbing his forehead. "Is Bart okay?"

"He's safe, Barry." the AI replied. "It seems that they were using his life as a distraction to drug you with the dart. So the moment Deadshot fired you I quickly informed Miss Al Ghul about the situation and she managed to make it out of the school with Bart to your home undetected.."

Barry sighed in relief. "That's good."

"I also informed Miss Gordon about the situation." Gideon continued. "She's currently trying to figure out who kidnapped Dr Snow while Mr Ramon and Miss Lance attempt to find a plausible solution to rescue you and Dr Snow."

"Where are they?" Barry inquired of the latter two.

"They are currently half a block away tracking your location and following you, Barry." Gideon informed him.

"Could you patch me through to them?"

Barely a second later, he could hear Cisco and Dinah's voice through his earpiece.

"Cisco, Dinah. Where are you guys?" Barry asked anxiously, trying to figure out a way to untie the ropes around his hands.

"Barry?" Cisco responded. "Is that really you?"

"Yes, Cisco. It's me and before you ask, yes I am alive. Now, where are you guys?"

"We are just about half a block behind you, Barry." Dinah answered.

Barry suddenly heard a screech from the line causing him to wince.

"Hey do you mind driving a bit safe?!" Barry heard Cisco complaining. "You do know we need to be alive in order to save them right?"

"Quit whining, Cisco." Barry heard Dinah say coolly before hearing another screech of a tire.

"Watch it!" Cisco yelled.

"Could you please shut up?!"

"You are literally digging our graves with your reckless driving!"

"Who said that I am being reckless?!"

"I don't know. Maybe the fact that you are driving at 189 kilometers per hour! ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHT-NINE!!!!"

"SO WHAT?!!!!" Dinah yelled.

"Guys enough!" Barry hissed, trying his best not to be too loud for his captors to hear him. "Cisco as much as I want to be on your side in this, we need to let Dinah handle it. She's obviously done this before and has enough experience than any of us do to deal with my current situation. Now, could you tell me wh-"

A bump suddenly interrupted him causing him to hit his head to the top of the trunk before falling down again painfully.

"Barry? Are you okay?" Cisco asked worriedly.

"I'm fine. I think the car hit the bump. My head body aches but apart from that I'm good." Barry answered while still trying to untie himself. "Now I was asking you guys what the plan was?"

"Oh, yeah. Cecile and Mick are going to intercept the car from the other end while Dinah and I tail them for them to be distracted enough for Mick to hit them at the crossroad at 5th Avenue." Cisco explained. "Nyssa is keeping an eye on Bart while Barbara is also trying to figure out the identity of the dude that has kidnapped Caitlin and how he is related to Deadshot."

"Wait did you say Barbara?" Barry asked before jerking up and down as the car hit the bump. Gideon had mentioned it earlier but he seemed to had forgotten about it.

"Yeah." Cisco answered before Barry heard another screech from their car. This time he could hear it through the trunk's door, meaning that they were close. Finally, after some twists and turns, Barry managed to loosen the rope around his hands before quickly untying the rope around his feet. Now all that he needed was to open the trunk and escape and go and save Caitlin.

"Gideon patch me up with Barbara." Barry told the AI. Barely a second later, Barbara had been connected to Barry's earpiece.

"Barry?"

"Hey Barbie. How's it going?" Barry asked as he tried wriggling his hands out of the rope.

"I'm great, although I feel like I should be asking you that question instead."

"Don't worry. I've been through worse." Barry assured, referring to his years in the old timeline as the Flash. "Sorry for the welcome, though. We usually don't kidnapped in Central City."

"Very funny Barry." Barbara replied as she typed furiously on her computer. "Anyway I think I found your girlfriend's kidnapper. I managed to use CCTV footages and some algorithms to try and get a matching description of the man who kidnapped Dr Snow. It came down to 17 people with your boss being one of them."

"My boss?" Barry asked before trying to open the trunk.

"Yeah. Darryl Frye." Barbara clarified. "I thought it might be a coincidence but just decided to look through. So I decided to dig deeper into his profile and you will not believe what I found. He and Deadshot were high school buddies."

"Wait, what?" Barry asked in confusion. But before he could receive an answer, a pummeling force, which Barry presumed to be Dinah's car, suddenly hit the rear of the car sending Barry tumbling inside the trunk.

"Sorry, Barry." Dinah apologized but Barry's mind wasn't on her.

"Darryl and Floyd were high school what now?" he asked in confusion.

"High school buddies." Barbara repeated. "They both graduated from high school in '75 in a small town school in Oregon. It might probably be just a coincidence and nothi-"

Dinah hit the car again causing Barry to hit the walls inside. All of a sudden, he could hear gunshots being fired.

"This car is bullet proof sucker!" Cisco yelled with glee as bullets kept on firing at Dinah's car.

Barry's mind began swirling.

Darryl and Floyd had been high school buddies.

Darryl.

Why did Barry feel that this was more than just a coincidence?

Barry's mind suddenly went to the time that he had entered Darryl's office the day he had been fired to collect his mother's case file. He had taken pictures of it along with other files he had found in the safe.

"Barbara?"

"Yes, Barry."

"A week ago I found some files in Darryl's safe and took pictures of them. I need you to go through them. I think they might explain why Darryl kidnapped Caitlin." Barry said.

"You think that your boss would kidnap Dr Snow?" Barbara asked in disbelief.

"It's a hunch." Barry replied. "A week ago Cisco and I showed him a tech that could review past images from mirrors and I think we might have touched a red light."

"Huh?" Barbara said, obviously confused.

"Don't worry. I'll explain it later." Barry said before speaking to Gideon. "Gideon send the files to-"

"Already done, Barry." the AI said.

"Thank y-"

The car was hit again from behind forcing it to lose control and to somersault. Barry kept hitting the inside walls of the trunk within the tight space he was in. Just as the car was about to stop, a force suddenly hit it sending it sprawling on the road. Barry could hear the screams of pedestrians and the honks from cars as they frantically tried to dodge the car.

"DIE!!" he heard Mick growling in a mixture of anger and glee. "DIE FOR ME!!!!!!"

"Barry's inside the car, you dickhead! Are you trying to kill him or what?!" Cecile exclaimed in anger.

But Mick didn't pay attention to Cecile as he pushed the car to the wall of a building, causing the walls to collapse.

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!!!!!" Cecile yelled, her eyes red in anger. "BARRY IS INSIDE THE F*CKING CAR AND YOU ARE TRYING TO KILL HIM IN IT???!!!!!"

Mick looked at the wreckage he had caused before turning to Cecile sheepishly. "Why didn't you say so earlier?" he asked dumbly.

"That's because that's why we are here in the first place bozo!" Cisco yelled through the com. "Barry are you alright?"

Barry groaned in pain as he tried to regain his bearings. "For fuck's sake, Mick, what in the hell was that?" he groaned. "Are you trying to kill me or wh-"

The trunk immediately opened and Barry's eyes made way to the gun pointed at his head.

"Do anything stupid and then I fire the bullet to your head. Are we clear?!" Floyd growled, his eyes directly fixed on Barry with the gun pointed at him.

THE ALLEN RESIDENCE

Nyssa opened the door to Barry's penthouse before quickly making her way to the living room to gently place a sleeping Bart on the sofa before quickly closing the door.

"Gideon?"

"Yes, Ms Al Ghul."

"Look through traffic cams and surveillance cameras and see if anyone followed as here." Nyssa said, walking towards the kitchen before taking out the kettle and placing it on the stove.

"My scan has revealed no signs of you and Bart being followed." Gideon answered as Nyssa fetched water into the kettle before turning on the stove.

"Could you please search again, Gideon? I just want to make sure that we are safe." Nyssa said before heading to the theatre room.

"Affirmative Miss Al Ghul." Gideon said before taking another scan again. This time a bit longer than the first she had taken.

Nyssa picked up the blankets that laid on the couch as well as a pillow before heading back to the living room. She gently held Bart's head as she placed the pillow underneath it before laying it down gently.

"I have done approximately, 239 scans in every single route you had taken as well as distant ones to make sure you had not been followed." Gideon said. "I also made sure to look at areas which are not computable by cameras and street cams. That is, looking through the cameras from phones, laptops, tablets and many more to double cross-check as well."

Nyssa smiled as she sat on the sofa near Bart, proud of the AI's thorough search. "Thank you, Gideon."

"You're welcome, Ms Al Ghul."

Nyssa sighed as she sat next to Bart. "How are Barry and the others doing?" she asked.

"Currently, Mr Allen is trying to get himself out of the car trunk." the AI narrated. "Mr Ramon and Ms Drake-Lance are tailing Mr Allen's kidnapper to force him to a crossway where he would be intercepted by Mr Rory and Ms Horton."

"That's good." Nyssa said, pleased by their sense of strategy. "Do you have any info on Dr Snow's kidnapper?"

"I'm afraid not, Ms Al Ghul." Gideon replied. "Dr Snow's kidnapper had a mask on his face from the time he left All-star Stadium to his car at 11:23am earlier today which has made it difficult for me to trace. However, Ms Gordon and I are trying to find any links of people who had been in contact with Floyd Lawton in the last few days to narrow our chances of finding the culprit."

Nyssa sighed anxiously as fiddled with her fingers. She didn't feel comfortable sitting idly while the others were in action. Being on the field is something that she should be doing but she had to be watching Bart and making sure he was safe while Barry saved Caitlin. She already admitted that she liked Barry but thinking through about it, she was starting to feel that it was more of a brotherly love than a "love" love. Maybe it could be that she rarely had male figures apart who actually cared about her. Whatever the case was she just hoped that Barry saved Caitlin and everything will be alright.

Barry walked slowly as Floyd followed him with his gun on Barry's head. His eyes darted around and he saw some passersby filming he and Floyd on their phones while others screamed frantically as they run away from the scene. He stopped as he noticed the damage that Mick had caused while he had hit the car.

The place was a mess.

The window of a shop was broken by a flying tire, several cars had been knocked over which had caused them to crash into buildings, streetlights, hydrants and even other cars. He was going to have a real long discussion with Mick about this. If people were injured or dead from this, it was on them.

"Keep moving!" Floyd ordered in frustration, placing the gun at the back of Barry's head. "All that I was supposed to do was to send you to Darryl for him to finish you and that b*tch of yours but your friends had to just f$cking get in the way and ruin it."

Barry kept moving forward as his mind scrambled for the revelation given to him.

All that I was supposed to do was to send you to Darryl for him to finish you and that b*tch of yours.

So he had been right earlier. Darryl was the one orchestrating this. He was the one that kidnapped Caitlin. He was the one who had planned all this. But why? Why was he doing this? Did it have to do with the mirror device that he and Cisco had revealed last week in relation to his mom's murder? Was he the one who killed his mom? That was not possible because Barry knew that Thawne was the one who did it. Or was Darryl the Eobard Thawne of this timeline? That didn't make sense because Barry had seen Thawne watching Bart as Hunter Wells at the beach months ago when Bart's powers had reacted the first time. So what was the problem? Why was he doing all this?

"Hey dumbass!" he saw Mick walking boldly towards them with his flame gun in hand. "Come and let's fight like real men! Come and show me what you are made of! Come and sh-"

BANG!

A shot was fired from Floyd right at Mick's chest. Mick fell to the ground as screams of pedestrians running away filled the air. Floyd used the moment to attempt to fire at some of them but he was quickly shot down at the back by Dinah.

Barry stared frantically at Floyd before looking at Dinah who gave him a nod. Barry returned the gesture before running towards Mick, who laid sprawled on the ground.

"Mick! Are you aright?!" Barry asked anxiously as he searched for a bullet wound.

Mick groaned as he opened his jacket to reveal a bulletproof vest underneath. "I'm alright, Red." Mick grunted. "Just hurry up and save the Ice Queen."

Barry chuckled before giving him a pat. "Thanks a lot, man. But we still have to talk about considering the lives of innocents on the field." Barry added.

"Don't worry." Cisco said, appearing beside him panting heavily. "We'll make sure to take care of that. Better go. Caitlin needs you."

Barry nodded his head before speaking to his earpiece. "Gideon I need you to call the cops to Cait's location. Darryl needs to get to jail ASAP." he instructed

"Affirmative Barry." Gideon replied.

Barry turned to see Cecile walking towards him while Dinah kept her gun aimed at a fallen Floyd. Cecile handed him a gun before nodding her head.

"You might need this." she said.

Barry gave a nod of thanks to her before walking staggeringly to an alley.

"Gideon?"

"Yes Barry?"

"I need you to glitch every traffic cam and CCTV in the radius of my route to Caitlin." he told the AI as he entered the alley. "I don't need the authorities getting a recording of me. Besides, it might give away our cover to Thawne"

"Yes Barry." Gideon answered.

Barry looked left and right making sure that he was not being watched for the umpteenth time before speeding away.

UNKNOWN LOCATION

Darryl opened the door before swaggering towards Caitlin, a smirk on his lips while carrying a tray of food. He placed the tray on the nightstand before grabbing a chair to sit beside her. He looked at Caitlin with gleam in his eyes as she trembled in fear, tears flowing down her cheeks as she watched him.

"Why are you crying sweetheart?" Darryl mocked using his hand to her cheek to dry away her tears.

Caitlin flinched from Darryl's touch. "Darryl, please let me go. Let me go." she begged, more tears leaving flowing down her cheeks.

"Now why will I do that?" Darryl asked, taking a plate from the tray. "By the way I ordered Chinese. You want some?"

Caitlin shook her head as tears kept on flowing. "I want to go home. I...I n...need t..to go home." Caitlin choked barely above a whisper.

But Darryl shook his head mockingly. "I'm afraid that is beyond me." Darryl said caressing her cheek. "But look at the bright side. You have a new home. You have me."

Caitlin kept shaking her head. "I already have a home." Caitlin cried. "I have a son. I...I have a son."

More tears spilled as she remembered her son, praying that he was safe and sound from Darryl. She didn't know why Darryl was doing this but one thing was that she needed to get out of this place. She needed to get out fast. Or else Darryl would finish her.

A laugh escaped from Darryl's lips as he looked at Caitlin. "You know something. You just reminded me of this lady I once met sometime ago. A long time ago to be precise." Darryl said as if trying to recall a past event. "She looked just like you. Red hair, brown eyes. And let's not forget beauty. Oh she had loads of it. She was hot. Incredibly stunning. But you know the downside? She was already married. With a kid. Three kids if I remember."

He got up and made his way to the closet and picked up a small box. He took out a photograph before sitting beside Caitlin.

"I wanted her so bad that...I couldn't...I couldn't control myself whenever she was around." Darryl said, struggling a bit to express himself. "So I decided to take action. I invited her over for some matters regarding her husband...he was a doctor by the way."

Caitlin's eyes opened in realization as she started to figure out who he was talking about.

"She came. We talked a bit. She wanted to have a glass of water so I went to the kitchen to get her some water." Darryl continued as he stared at the photograph. "But then, I realized that that was my moment. That was my moment to have my chance with her. A chance to make her mine. And so I just added a little bit of something to her water and she drank. And I had my fun with her."

Caitlin felt like puking as the words left Darryl's lips. The person who was speaking to her was totally different from the man she saw ordering officers and being the Guardian of Central City. He was different from the Chief she had gotten to know at the precinct. This was a different man. This guy was a psychopath. He was insane. But then...if what he was saying was true, could he be talking about...? No! It couldn't be.

"It was a night I'll never forget." Darryl said, a smirk on his lips as he continued with his story. "It was a night full of passion. Full of pleasure. Full of life and heaven! A night I will never forget."

He caressed the photograph softly as his smile started to slowly fade away. Caitlin looked at the night stand and noticed a knife on the tray. It was barely a few inches away from where her right hand was. She had to get it and free herself.

"But then she woke up." Darryl continued, his eyes still focused on the photograph. "She woke up and she said she was scared. She was scared of me." he said bitterly. "I tried to explain to her that I was the one for her. I was the guy for her. I was her man! But she said no. She said no. Can you believe it? She said no to an officer, a detective at that time. I was hot, charming, the ladies' man and she told me no."

At this point, Caitlin could only watch in fear as he laughed at himself as he continue to stare at the photograph. She managed to push herself with her left leg upwards to the direction of the tray.

"I tried. I f$cking tried." he whispered, tears flowing from his eyes. "I fucking tried to convince her but she...she rejected me. She rejected me and f$cking run away!"

His face suddenly became angry as the scenes played in his head. Caitlin's fingertips touched the edge of the kitchen knife.

"She run all the way home to tell her fucking son of a b*t*h husband of hers. I took my gun and made up my mind to kill them both. Man and wife, man and woman, husband and wife! I had to kill them!" Darryl yelled, still staring at the photograph.

Caitlin managed to grab the knife and hide it underneath her pillow while Darryl kept on venting out his anger.

"But someone beat me to it." Darryl whispered, gaining Caitlin's attention immediately. "I was just about to enter the house when I saw them."

"Saw who?" Caitlin asked in confusion.

Darryl smirked. "The Gods."

FLASHBACK

Darryl watched from the window with his eyes opened in awe as two swirls of lightning encircled her. They were a mix of yellow and red, a type he had not seen before in his whole life ever. The more he tried to narrow what they were, the more he realized that they were fighting each other, battling a war of death. A war which was not meant to happen.

The glass from the window he was looking through shattered from the impact of the fierce winds created by the phenomenon. These were gods, he concluded. Gods whose war had taken them to the dwelling place of mankind.

"HENRY!!! HENRY!!!!!!"

Darryl's eyes turned to her, his woman, screaming for her good for nothing husband's name, asking him to save her.

"Why is she calling him? She should be calling me?!" Darryl hissed in fury as he watched her.

A moment later, her husband and her son both came into the room.

"BARRY RUN!! RUUUNNNN!!!!" she yelled, hoping her son would heed her warning.

Darryl watched as the husband grabbed , yelling and telling him to run. In a flash, the swirl of yellow lightning encased in red grabbed the boy and run out of the house throwing his rival to the floor and escaping. A sudden silence took over as the God in Yellow slowly got up from the floor, staggering a bit in pain. He looked around searching for his before yelling out in frustration after discovering that he had vanished. He yells sent a chill down Darryl's spine as he shakenly watched through the window.

The Man in Yellow suddenly looked around and noticed her on the floor, kneeling down and weeping in fear. Realization dawned on Darryl as he realized what he was going to do to her. He tried to go in and rescue her but his legs were denying him, denying him a chance to be a hero.

Darryl watched as her husband grabbed a shard of glass to protect his wife but a single punch sent him flying to the ground. The woman tried to reach out for her husband but was suddenly frozen to fear as the God in Yellow picked up the knife and stared at her with his vile red eyes.

A sob escaped the woman's throat as she pleaded for forgiveness but her pleas went unheeded as the god loomed over her. Darryl tried to shout out for her name but only a croak escaped his throat. A second later, the god stabbed her with a knife before placing it on the ground beside her. Tears flowed down Darryl's eyes as he saw her give out her last breaths.

Suddenly, the God in Yellow turned to face him and in a flash, Darryl found himself being held by the neck on the edge of a cliff.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Darryl cried out in fear. "Please let me go! Let me go! Let me-"

"SILENCE!!" the god in Yellow snarled. Darryl immediately gulped as he held the god by his arm.

"I don't want to die." Darryl cried. "I don't want to die!"

"All I need for you is to do me a favor." the god spoke. "Once it's done, your life is secured."

"I promise I'll do anything! I'll do anythi-"

In a flash of blinding light, they were suddenly back in the house again a few feet away from the dead body.

Darryl watched shakenly as the god handed him a device. "Pretend you are the boy." he growled. "Call 911. Tell them that the parents are fighting. The father is trying to kill the boy. Lie to the cops and I will let you go."

"B...b...but what if the cops know it's my voice. I mean, m..my v..v..voice is different from a chil-"

"This device fixes that." the god in Yellow explained. "You will sound just like the boy. Do that. If you try to double cross me and fail, you die."

Darryl gulped nervously.

"If you tell anyone about this, you die."

Darryl managed to nod his head shakenly.

"If you mention this to anyone, you die."

And in a flash of red, the god had disappeared. Darryl released a breath he didn't realize he was holding and collapsed to the ground. He stared at the dead body of the woman that he had just proclaimed his love to barely half an hour ago. He got up and made a way for it out of the house, hands still shaking as he dialed 9-1-1.

A few rings later, the phone was answered.

"Hello?"

"Please, my name is Barry Allen and my father is trying to kill me."

END OF FLASHBACK

Darryl stared at the photo of Nora Allen as he narrated the events.

"So I made it out alive by god's hand. And the best way to make good use of my life is doing what I do best. Making women happy." Darryl said, placing the photograph on the tray. "You know we've still not eaten our food right? But who gives a damn. That was one heck of a story. If you can guess right, the lady in the story was your boyfriend's mom."

Caitlin looked at him with her eyes mixed with fear and dread.

"It's a bit ironic how the situation is turning out to be but it was never my intention to harm you until your boyfriend had to play Sherlock Holmes and Einstein all rolled into one and create a f$cking mirror device." Darryl said bitterly. "At least, the good thing is I get to spend some time with you."

He placed his hand on Caitlin's leg and snaking it towards her thigh. Caitlin immediately took the knife from underneath her pillow and quickly cut of the rope in the right hand before stabbing Darryl with it.

"OH F$CK!!!" Darryl screamed in agony.

Knife still in hand Caitlin cut the rope at her left arm before trying to cut off the ones at her feet. Darryl raised his hand to hit her but she stabbed him in the hand causing him to fall to the ground in pain. Tears in her eyes, she quickly untied the rope at her feet before fleeing out of the room.

ALLEN RESIDENCE

"The Gods."

Bart winced a bit as he heard a voice almost as if it was whispering right at his ears. He could sense that something was wrong but he couldn't tell what it was. His head was lying on what he suspected to be the couch as pain took control off his body.

What had happened? Where was he? Was he home?

He tried opening his eyes but he found out that he couldn't. Was he coma? He could sense that someone was around sitting beside him. At first he thought that it was his mother but judging from the perfume that he could smell, he narrowed it down to his gym teacher Nyssa. It made Bart ask himself how familiar she was with his father. They seemed to know each other very well. He wondered how they knew each other. He should probably ask his father about it next time.

"HENRY!!! HENRY!!!!!"

Bart's heart immediately started racing as the voice screamed in his head. Somebody was in trouble and was crying for help. But who was it? And why could he hear it in his head.

Lightning immediately flashed as he saw a figure in red.

Sweat began to drip down his face as he saw the image. What was it? What was he seeing?

He reached out his hand to grab the child but he was thrown away to the floor as the figure in red grabbed the child and run out of the house.

Bart started struggling to breathe as the images played in his head. Images he had never seen before. Was it a nightmare?

He stood up from the floor before looking around and seeing that the boy was gone. He growled before releasing a scream of anger. Anger that laid embedded in his heart. He saw the husband heading towards his direction with a shard of glass in hand but a single punch sent him flying and losing consciousness.

Bart gulped in fear as he desperately tried to wake up, hoping to escape from his nightmare as much possible. A hand suddenly touched his arm with an effort to wake him up.

"Bart, are you okay?!" he heard the voice call out frantically at a distance but he couldn't reach out to it as his nightmare continued.

He stared at the woman who was desperately pleading for her son. He growled as he remembered why he had come here and what he had planned to do. He had failed to kill the boy. He had failed. His rival would forever continue to taunt him and have the last laugh.

Or will he?

He looked at a shard that was on the floor and picked it up. He turned to the woman and walked towards her slowly as she cowered towards her corner in fear.

He might not be able to kill the child but he can forever taunt his foe with the fact that he couldn't save her.

His mother.

With a smirk, he quickly stabbed her with the knife, joy swelling up inside him as her blood tainted his glove. He pulled out the shard before placing it in the hand of the man, pride swelling up inside him for the work he had done. He turned to look at the mirror to take a look at himself, admiring the person in it.

He was the God. He was the victor.

He was the Man in Yellow.

The Reverse-Flash.

Bart immediately shot up from the couch, gasping for air and trying to breathe.

"It's okay." Nyssa said, wrapping her arms around him. "It's okay. It's just a dream."

Bart nodded his head as tears fell down his cheeks in fear. He couldn't understand what was going on. It didn't make any sense. Had he just seen the night of his grandmother's murder?

He had to tell his parents immediately.

"Where's mom and dad?" he asked Nyssa anxiously.

Nyssa looked at him, unsure of whether to tell him of what was going on or to lie to him.

"OH F$CK!!!"

Bart winced as he heard a voice yell loudly in his head.

"Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Nyssa asked curiously.

"HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!"

"That." Bart said, unsure of where the voices were coming from. Was that his mother? Was she in trouble?

Suddenly an image flashed in his mind. An image of a knife being thrown right to his mother's heart. Bart watched frantically as his mother collapsed to the ground and gave out his last breath.

"MOM!"

Suddenly the penthouse he was in vanished and he found himself at a deserted meadow in front a building. He quickly run inside the building and opened the door to find his mother sprawled on the floor and bleeding to death.

"MOM!" Bart cried out, running to her side and using his little hands to try and close her wound. "Mom, don't leave me. Please, don't go!"

But before he could register, he found himself falling down an endless pit as the world around him started to disappear.

"Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

He kept falling until suddenly he fell into a pool, falling underneath and trying to escape. He saw a deceased hand pulling him deeper into the pool as he struggled to escape. Bart kicked the hand away before swimming towards the surface. He gasped for air the moment he made it out only to see that he was in a pool of blood.

"Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!"

Suddenly the pool of blood disappeared and Bart found himself encased in darkness.

"HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!"

It was the voice again. It sounded like his mother's and Bart could sense that she was in danger.

"MOM!"

A figure suddenly appeared in front of him revealing Caitlin with a knife in her chest.

"Mom!" Barry cried frantically as he made his way towards his mother, trying to reach out to her as each step he took kept drifting him away further and further away from his mom.

"Do you wish to save me, my beautiful boy? DO you wish to be mommy's hero?" his 'mother' spoke as blood oozed all over her body.

Bart nodded his head in desperation, more tears falling down his cheeks.

His 'mother' gave a smile and reached out her hand to him. "Then come." she whispered. "Come and save me."

Bart kept on running with determination aiming to grasp his 'mother's' hand. It was then that he noticed a cloud overtaking them, lightning erupting from it trying to separate them. But Bart was not letting it stop him. With a sudden boost of energy, he sped towards the figure of his mother, through the clouds and lightning and reached out for her hand.

And the world turned red.

Nyssa watched in surprised as red lightning started crackling all over Bart. His eyes had suddenly gone blank and were now literally red.

"Save mom." he whispered, before bursting out of the penthouse, breaking windows and destroying things in his path in the wake of his speed and running off to God knows where.

Nyssa covered her face with her arms as shards of glass darted towards her. The shards cut through her arms which could have been a huge problem if it had made contact with her face. She dusted herself as she took note of her surroundings, noticing the sparks from electric wires which had reacted with Bart's speed. Her mouth opened in shock as she look through the broken window that Bart had burst through. Cars, windows, streetlights and more were destroyed. All of them connected by trail of red lightning.

"Sh*t." Nyssa whispered to herself. There was no way they could escape the government's eyes from this.

"HELP! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!" Caitlin screamed as she shut the door behind her.

She hurriedly made it pass the corridor and down the stairs. She looked behind to see Darryl coming from the room limping with the knife in his hand. His face was red with fury and anger. Caitlin ran towards the door but the door suddenly burst opened to reveal a bruised Barry with a gun in hand.

"Barry!" she cried, running to him with tears on her face. Barry opened up his arms and wrapped her into a hug. "I was so scared. I was so scared that he'll-"

"Sshhh. It's okay, I'm here. I'm here okay? He's not going to hurt you." Barry consoled.

"YOU!!!! GET BACK HERE YOU BIT*H!!!!!!!!!!"

They both turned to see Darryl coming up at them before sending the knife right at Caitlin. Barry watched as the knife slowly made it's way at them and right at Caitlin. Before Barry could react, a sudden blur of red suddenly passed by them, grabbing the knife and throwing it right at Darryl. Barry's eyes opened in shock as he realized who it was that had thrown the knife.

It was his son.

Bart.

But what was he doing here?

How did he get here?

And why was he doing this?

None of those questions mattered at the moment, all that he knew was that if he didn't stop the knife from reaching it's target, his son was officially going to be a murderer in the next nanoseconds.

At the age of ten.

Barry noticed how red his eyes were.

His son had been infused with the Negative Speed Force.

And he was about to commit murder.

Barry had to stop the knife.

Releasing a breath, Barry took off in super speed, leaving Caitlin behind as the world began to slow down. He slowly made it passed his son, red eyes gone and suddenly realizing what he was going to do. Barry ran with all his speed, reaching out his hand as the knife flew towards Darryl, grabbing it just as it was about pierce him.

A wind blew at the fast motions of speed that had just occurred in the last second. Caitlin opened her eyes wide as she saw Bart standing in the middle of the room as she realized that he had just been about to kill someone. She started to shake as she saw Barry holding the knife just inches away from Darryl.

And it suddenly dawned upon her.

He had moved fast.

He had moved at super speed.

Her boyfriend was a speedster.

Author's Notes:

Thirty-two pages full of action and drama. What a thrill it is to read! I'm really pumped!

1. We have finally gotten to see the long-awaited Barbara Gordon. She's going to play a key role in helping Bart grow into a better person. I promise she would have more book time in the story in later chapters. This is just the beginning of a whole new world.

2. We have finally seen how Darryl is tied-in to Nora's murder. In case you are wondering why he was ordered by Reverse-Flash to call the cops and pretend that he was a frightened Barry, in the series the newspaper article in relation to Nora's murder stated that a young Barry called the police and cried about his father trying to kill him. I was a little bit surprised by this and decided to tie it into my story since the show never bothered to talk about it.

3. I rewrote Nyssa's view of Barry in this chapter explaining why she thinks she loves him. This is because she rarely interacted well with other men and usually saw them as teammates and colleagues. She is starting to realize that Barry is more of a brother to her rather than a crush.

4. Floyd is going to have a bigger role in the next chapter. Let's not forget that he's a high-class assassin who is not going to be easily taken down by a bullet. He and Forrest are also masterminds in this arc and are going to show how bad they can be in the next chapter.

5. I hope that you liked the way I wrote the scenes. Expressing events in your head to paper (or document) is kind of trippy. The way I want you guys to see the events in my head could be different from how you read it. All that I am hoping for is that it was interesting and awesome.

6. In case you are a bit confused as to why Bart's powers are how they are, the Negative Speed Force has never been broken into detail about what it really is in the series. I am trying to give it a higher supremacy in this story.

Thanks again for spending your time to read this fic. Hope you enjoyed. As I mentioned earlier, the next chapter could be released all the way at October 20th due to examination reasons. However, I will do my best to update it as soon as I can with more thrills, drama, action and a bit of romance.

Thanks again.
