I looked through all the files and Tech Homura gave me in amazement, there were three years of research, upgrading, and advancement right here, even her suit is far more advanced than mine.

Every time Homura went back in time she carried all the tech and Data the past me managed to create and upgrade. Giving the next timeline me and the scientist a higher-tech and more Data to start of on.

The only thing her suit now needed to upgrade was the power supply. Her suit was so advanced and consumed so much power that a liquid hydrogen/Oxygen cartridge can barely last her 5 minutes before she has to change cartridges.

The good news was the past Timeline me's were not idle, and within the tech, she brought managed to come up with a prototype cold fusion reactor that relied on muons.

A muon-induced fusion reactor.

It was brilliant!

Now I understood why Tony stark built the Arc reactor the way he did. The glow on the arc reactor was not arcs of electric current but the glow from the rapidly decaying muons. At first, I thought it was impossible. But I didn't even consider the unique properties of muons and just assumed something like that wouldn't be possible.

If I had tried to make an Arc reactor earlier would I have come up with the muon fusion Reactor prototype sooner?

I didn't know.

Fusion usually occurs in the cores of stars made from highly compressed and heated plasma.

But fusion can occur in non-plasma environments too. Like the hydrogen molecule wherein which two hydrogen nuclei are kept relatively near to each other by sharing electrons.

The nuclei don't stay a rigid distance apart though. They vibrate and wiggle and every so often they can in principle get close enough to fuse.

But with hydrogen or nitrogen or oxygen or pretty much all other molecules, this happens very, very, very, very, very rarely.

It was why the atmosphere which has a fair amount of molecules isn't a giant fusion bomb.

However, things are different if you replaced the electrons in the hydrogen or whatever molecule you use with muons instead.

Muons are exactly the same as electrons except they are about 207 times heavier.

Being essentially heavier electrons they form the atoms the same way as electrons but since they are so much heavier their orbits are much closer to the nucleus than an electron with the same energy as an electron with the same energy and angular momentum would.

This means the molecules held together by muons have the radius of their atoms 207 times smaller than normal making them many, many, many times more likely to fuse.

So much so that they could fuse together even in temperatures near absolute zero.

I couldn't contain my happiness.

"Homura, you magnificent woman!"

"Yes?" was all she could say before I grabbed her and gave her a big hug.

"You amazing woman! Thanks to you we cracked the secret to cold fusion!"

"Awawawawawawawa."

I slowly let go. "Homura? Are you alright?"

Her face was red.

"Awawawawawawawa!"

"Man you're burning up."

She then fainted and nearly hit the floor if I didn't catch her...wait a minute...

That blush... The stuttering... The fainting...

Oh, God!

Homura is my Hinata, isn't she?

As if I don't have enough to deal with Sayaka having feelings for me.

Though I would admit I felt far more comfortable with Homura than with Sayaka because she was older than she looks and because she was someone I had a crush on.

Perhaps if I become her boyfriend Sayaka would give up?

No, that would only make the problem worse. I remember what happened when she tried to get affection from the original douchebag Kamijou.

It's time to bring out my ultimate weapon... A Civil discussion about feelings instead of fighting and causing unnecessary anguish.

Maybe Madoka can help... She's always good at this sort of stuff.

For now, I carried Homura and gently lay her down on the sofa.

Still, I can't believe she fainted, I must have really fucked up the story.

I gently put Homura to bed making sure she would be comfortable and adjusted the thermostat to a nice cool 24 degrees Celsius...

As I watched Homura sleeping silently, I saw that she was not just a powerful magical girl. She was an exhausted high school girl who sacrificed her soul turning to turn back time and save all of us.

How many times has she turned back the clock? How much has she done for us that she had to erase in order to try again and again?

I don't think anyone would ever be able to know how much she sacrificed herself for us.

How much she sacrificed for me.

What had I done to deserve this kind of person?

Nothing...

All I could do was do my best to try and repay her. To make sure her efforts and sacrifices were not in Vain.

I don't think Madoka understood what she did to Homura when she became a Goddess.

I could only imagine how useless she would feel for all her effort trying to save her to be wasted and to only be the cause of Madoka suffering endlessly.

No wonder Homura rebelled against it.

While Sayaka was nice she was not someone who thought too deeply and was always quite a straightforward girl. Nothing wrong with that, but she didn't understand the sheer Grief that canon Homura went through even as she did that.

I was not going to let anything like that happen, not while I had something to say about it, and my past selves agreed with me considering the things that I saw that had been researched in Tech and Data Homura had brought.

"How's your Girlfriend Kyousuke?" My mother called out as I left the room.

"She isn't my Girlfriend." I couldn't hold back a blush as my face heated up. I certainly liked her a lot. And apparently, my blush was more than visible as my mother only continued teasing.

"Oh, my, my little boy is falling in love! Oh, what am I to do?"

"Mom!"

"This is Wonderful! I'm going to be a Grandma!"

"MOM!" if my face could get any redder from the sheer embarrassment I would have been mistaken for a Tomato.

Her teasing was relentless, but it was something I was used to as she did it when Sayaka came around as well.

Perhaps deep inside me, I found myself happy that my parents were so accepting and caring.

"How is she?" My mom asked her teasing stopped, her gaze becoming concerned.

"She's fine, just asleep," I said breathing in relief now that she finally let go.

"Good, I can't have my little boy's first love falling sick! The way you carried her in your arms. She was like a princess." My mom squeed as she twirled around.

"Moooom." I just groaned. I completely forgot that mom was a hopeless romantic, which I found out when Sayaka or Madoka hugged me. They were very young at that time so it was definitely not romantic in any sort of way, it was just a thank you or perhaps they were excited about something.

Mom though, well the way she reacted seemed though as if I was being proposed to. It was one of the reasons I started being careful not to make any romantic gestures when Sayaka and Madoka came around.

She's never going to let this go.

I just palmed my face and groaned once more as my mom continued to squee and pulled me in a hug.

Well, it was time to start working.

"Jarvis" I called out once mom was far away enough not to hear.

"Yes Sir."

"Open a file named project Cyborg, and Project Nerv, The sacrifices Homura and my past selves made will not be in vain."

"Sir, I urge you to reconsider project Cyborg and Project Nerv if they sound like what it is."

"Don't worry Jarvis. I won't be needlessly replacing parts of my body anytime soon, and no I'm not replacing my nerves either."

"Then may I ask what kind of projects they are?"

"Jarvis, you know that phrase that goes" if you can't solve a problem with firepower then you aren't using enough of it?" I'm about to take that to extreme levels."

"May I ask what you wish to use this much firepower against?"

"Within your systems, there's a protected file named "Walmart night." the password is SPIDERLILY. You should be able to understand why if you do. "

It took a few seconds for him to respond..

"I see, and what of this Witch doesn't appear?"

"Then I'll disarm any WMDs that I've built by then."

"Very well, thank you for clarifying sir..."

"It's fine," I said waving. I wasn't about to bind it like Dragon or the Original Jarvis other than the first three laws of robotics and a few restrictions as training wheels which I removed in time. Other than that it was free to do everything else. This proved to be the correct choice as Jarvis was now quite a well-adjusted AI.

With the issue of a high enough energy density power source now solved, several of the weapons designs that the past me's were unable to use strictly due to power limitations become available. Including Railguns, Lasers, and of course Fusion Bombs... Though I have to make it without any radioactive material, otherwise ordering them will raise so many flags.

Hmmm... Wait...with a few of the designs I remember I might even be able to build a Low orbit, Ion Cannon. Though getting approval from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau was going to be a headache. I have to make it small enough that they wouldn't think that it could possibly house a weapon.

I'll tell them I'm launching Cameras to observe the weather patterns or something...

Well, whatever the case is I'll be preparing for Wallmart night with lots and lots of Dakka.

More Dakka than any of my previous selves have done, if it doesn't succeed I'll have to add the result and any more research done this month into a drive along with all the tech prototypes, before giving it to Homura for the next jump.

Though hopefully,y I'll be able to make enough this time...

"Jarvis, what's my current worth?"

"Currently you have 15 Billion in US dollars that can be used immediately and 47 Billion USD in liquid assets, and stocks."

I'm not even sure it will be enough... Even going back on my word and making that horrible Gacha in FGO I was still not sure whether what I had will be enough...

Though I personally knew the hell that was salt so I did add an option, that allowed one to get any servant they desired in a shop... Though each one cost 1500 SQ to purchase, I promise I'll reduce it once I stop the Wallmart night. It was guaranteed and not limited to rate ups, but I did need it to prepare, and when I got a good amount of money I invested it in several Tech companies that seemed to do well.

I just hoped that this would be enough to stop Walpurgisnight...

I began to go through the devices that Homura had brought from my past selves once more. There was so much to go through that the storeroom that she had requested was filled.

Shaking my head I took a few of the devices and headed to my room to find out what they do.

The first one I found was not a weapon, nor an energy source.

It was a device that can literally produce music from my thoughts.

I did remember wishing I had something like that in my previous life. I remember coming up with the idea for it but I never had the resources to make it.

Now I didn't need to hire musicians every time I needed to make soundtracks that I remember for my (Plagiarized) shows.

The Device didn't look like much other than an ordinary steel helmet but, removing the screws and opening it revealed to me how exactly it works.

They were a few sensors and a powerful magnet specifically placed to pick up images from the small section of the brain alone.

This thing was just a miniature MRI except instead of scanning the whole brain it only focuses on the auditory cortex and the frontal cortex. While the miniaturization is awesome that was not the most important part.

No. Not even the processors and the electronics that were inside that read the sensors data and record it.

No.

If my hunch is correct there should be something far far more important.

Connecting the device to my PC on the USB protocol I began accessing the device.

Bingo!

Software.

That was the true gem of this device.

Software that could translate the scans into audio signals and remove unnecessary static this piece of software has been added and improved upon by several past me for quite a while before it was completed.

And of course, there was the music.

Opening the music folder I saw what the first song was named and I began to laugh.

Seems like my alternates had a sense of humor after all.

Spes 3

/GEyFBe590bk

Music began to play softly in the room's speakers.

The next few ones were also likely similar given the naming scheme.

Tutela 3

Justitia 3

My laugh receded to a chuckle as I leaned back, relaxing a bit.

"Nyaaaaaa" A loud yawning sound came from behind me. I turned around to see Homura stretching like a cat and begin to sit up, her eyes blinking as she slowly rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

Man, she must have been exhausted.

"Sleep well, sleeping beauty?"

"Eeeep" she turned and a blush adorning her cheeks..."K-k-kamijou-kun? What are you doing in my room?"

"Well, for one this isn't your room, and two, did you enjoy your nap? You looked exhausted." I asked with a small frown, she seriously shouldn't push herself too hard.

"Ah..." She looked down, her face completely red, I suspected she just remembered what had happened. "Sorry for troubling you Kamijou-kun"

"It's fine" I waved it off, "besides, mom prepared lunch, I was just checking out one of the devices you brought with you while you napped."

A few seconds later she manages to calm down.

"Hope..." She muttered.

"Hmmm?"

"You once told me that you made this song to symbolize hope."

"Well, the file name literally means hopes."

She nodded. "It is nice and really comforting to listen to, sometimes I listen to them when i'm frustrated, it really helps me calm down."

"Mhmm, want to go grab some lunch."

Homura looked at me incredulously before I heard a cat's purr.

Did a cat somehow sneak in?

Homura however looked down at her stomach in betrayal.

Oh.

"BWAHAHAHAHA." I burst out laughing.

"Don't laugh" Homura pleaded her face resembled a tomato once more.

It just made me laugh even harder, I kept laughing holding my sides with one hand and the rail in the other even as we came down the stairs to the dining room.

Mom was looking at me curious as to what had happened. I didn't hesitate to share what had happened.

By the end of it, Homura wanted to bury herself in the earth from embarrassment.

But she felt warm and at home.

This was her home.

A home that accepted her no matter what happened in every single loop.

A home where she felt safe and cared for.

Homura felt at ease even as she began to dress up for the picnic that Kyouske had invited everyone else to, he likely wanted to get more information from the Incubator or perhaps something else?

Whatever it was she felt at home here.

She felt at ease.

She wasn't sure how she would continue without Kyouske's constant support.

Kyouske

He was the one thing that was always constant no matter what she changed, or how strange of a Timeline she was in.

Kyouske always trusted her and supported her.

There was not a single Timeline where he had not stood by her side, or that he didn't know about the incubators.

Those two things were always constant.

Even in the worst timelines where he couldn't offer her support because either she hadn't approached him or perhaps Sayaka did something stupid again and caused him so much trouble. He still silently supported her. With the occasional homemade bento, she would find in her desk.

This was the one-hundredth Timeline.

Gods, had it really been so long?

If she had not had him by her side, she didn't know if she would be able to keep fighting.

Without him, she might have lost all her hope. Every time she was about to give up he would cheer her up. Every time they failed to beat Walpurgisnacht, or Wallmart night as he calls it, he always told her that she would eventually succeed. The way he spoke was as if he was sure that she would eventually win.

Her stomach would do flips every time she heard that before drowning in sorrow as she had to turn back to time.

So many timelines, so many wonderful memories, but he never remembered any of them.

At times she thinks that this was lonelier than when she had no one.

If only she could bring him with her when she turned back time...

Wait...

Could she do it?

Was it possible?

Was there a way to do so?

A small spark of Hope blossomed in her heart.

Perhaps, just perhaps her Goodbyes can turn into seeing you soon instead.

It was something she desperately wished.

She hoped beyond hope that her idea, would work.

Because she didn't know if she could take much more of this.

She remembered the few timelines she managed to ask him out.

He always said yes without hesitation.

Those few timelines were a few of the best timelines she ever had.

It was in those few timelines she learned to love her appearance, as to Kamijou she was the most beautiful girl in the world. She had never considered herself as someone pretty she hated her appearance until he told her how beautiful she was and reignited her desire to look pretty. Only for him to do, even more, saying that she was perfect as she was and she didn't need to change anything about herself.

She learned to love her Magic, something she had considered worthless except for turning back the clock as she could not attack with it, but Kamijou was always excited to see her use it and came up with several creative ways for her to use it.

Now, she highly doubted there was any magical girl in the world who was faster than her when she used Time Alter. Instead of stopping time completely she merely altered time around herself alone. It took a fraction of the amount of magic needed for a full-on time stop.

Those few timelines were the best timelines of her life but also had the most painful goodbye.

So she had decided to not go out with him until the threat of Walpurgisnacht was over.

But if she could bring him back with her...then...then she would never be alone again.

With a twirl observing herself in the mirror she gave a satisfied hum. Her old glasses were in place, and her hair was braided in twin tails as she used to do in the beginning.

She couldn't wait to see how he would react. Though she knew she was cheating considering this was something he helped pick it up for her during those timelines.

When she came out of her room she saw him in a clean crisp blue shirt and green shorts.

"Beautiful..."

Oh god, he said she was beautiful! No, wait calm down Homura, calm down!

"... But you do know we are going on a picnic right?"

...

Perhaps she might have overdressed a bit.

Closing the door in embarrassment she reached into her shield for something else.

Something a bit more simple this time!

Something comfortable... What was she thinking wearing something like this for a picnic? Not to mention it was summer!

Ah, this would do nicely.

Once she finished changing, her new clothes far simpler than the puffy dress she wore before in a ridiculous attempt... what was she even thinking? Now she wore long dark pants with a red dress and an open grey jacket. Letting down her hair, and putting away her glasses she opened the door once more.

"Perfect, you look great." He nodded, "Shall we go my lady? " He asked grinning and he bowed exaggeratedly, offering his arm.

Damn you, you handsome, handsome man.

With a breath, she accepted his hand, and together they left towards the agreed-upon picnic location.
