Hope that I kept you guys in suspense after the end of last week's chapter because this next one's going to be packed with action, character development, and the introduction to a certain enemy from the show that some of you have been waiting to see. Enjoy!

"Any word from that royal brat yet?"

"No, master. We have not heard anything from Comet Dragonfly," Buff Frog loyally told his minute leader, who had been pacing back forth on the ground rather impatiently for the last half hour or so.

Ludo groaned in frustration. "Damn it, Buff Frog, none of this makes any sense!" the Avian loudly complained, making everyone else present turn to look at him. "I cornered the Prince's worthless human friend and some random girl. I captured them and brought them to this abandoned warehouse that Lobster Claws and Boo Fly found when they went out to steal groceries-"

"Don't you mean 'get groceries,' sir?" Beard Deer asked, having walked over to see what all the noise was about. In response to this, Ludo glared right at the Deer Monster.

"-I know what said. I sent out a ransom notice to his other stupid friends. Comet Dragonfly should be here by now to get this karate chick and this other girl back! But he hasn't shown up at all, and I want to know why!" Ludo continued to yell and stomp his feet on the ground as the frustration continued to build, making him seem less like a villain and more like a kid throwing a fit because his parents took his favorite toy away.

And not helping the fact was that Marcia, who they had handcuffed to a pole, either spent the whole time trying to escape or just mocking Ludo. "Hey, Ludo. You ever stopped to consider that maybe Comet's not going to show up because he's stopped seeing you as a threat? Because I'm pretty sure he has faith in our ability to bust out of here," she snarked at the leader of the Monsters, much to his fury. Of course, being able to get underneath Ludo's skin only made Marcia chuckle. Aqua, who was restrained next to Marcia (with Misty stuck in a jar on the floor), couldn't help but smile at her friend's bravery.

Oh, Dios Mio. I think Jonah might be rubbing off on me, Marcia realized as she continued to stare down the Monster leader, even as he marched right up to her.

"Oh, you think that's funny, huh? Well, in case you haven't noticed, you don't even know where you are-"

"We're in an abandoned warehouse/factory formerly operated by Skechers and located about a mile-and-a-half from the Echo Creek Pier. I can tell by the sound of seagulls outside," Marcia said without any hesitation. Having lived her entire life in Echo Creek, she knew every inch of the town, and thus, there was nowhere Ludo could drag her to whose location she didn't know.

Ludo just growled even more, thoroughly pissed that Marcia figured out their location so easily. "Yeah, well, I bet you didn't know that we're aware that Comet might try and mount a rescue attempt. That's why my minions have been setting up traps and countermeasures all over the place!" Ludo then gestured with a sweep of his hand to show them what his followers had done. True to his word, the Monsters were busy laying down tripwires, spikes, and even marbles and little toy cars near every entryway. Pretty soon, they had turned the whole place into an improvised fortress.

Marcia just shrugged. "Meh. I've seen it all before in movies. It won't stop Comet."

"ERGH, JUST SHUT UP! THIS IS GOING TO WORK, I'M GOING TO WALKING OUT OF HERE WITH THAT WAND, AND THAT'S THAT!" Ludo yelled at Marcia. "And you can forget about trying to get out on your own. Those restraints are made from the toughest metal found on Mewni, so there's no way that you can break them!" And with that, Ludo promptly marched off while Big Chicken and Bearicorn stood guard over the two girls and the Horsea.

Aqua, who had been silently watching the exchange the entire time, finally spoke up. "You do remember that Comet is currently-" she started to say, only to be silenced by Marcia.

"Aqua, not in front of the enemy!" Marcia angrily whispered to her, making the Mermaid fall silent. After that, the two girls sat there for a few moments, Aqua looking over Marcia the entire time. And she couldn't help but notice how tense she looked. Yes, they were in a very dangerous situation, but that was not new to either of them. Aqua had spent time held captive by a ruthless pirate captain, and from the sounds of it, Marcia dealt with this group of Monsters every other day.

Wanting to lift her friend's spirits, Aqua began to talk again. "Well, do not worry. I am certain that Brittney will have noticed our disappearance by now and that she will find some way to rescue us," she said in an optimistic tone. Sadly, the mention of Brittney Wong only seemed to lower Marcia's mood even further.

"Yeah, right," Marcia responded, her voice filled with uncharacteristic bitterness. "All she ever cares about is herself. She probably ran off and hid at the first sign of trouble. And even if she did try and help us, she'd only be doing it to impress Comet like she did during the Mewberty Incident."

"Marcia, do you not think that you are too harsh on her?" Aqua questioned the human girl.

"No, I am not 'too harsh on her,' Aqua!" Marcia snapped. "It may seem like she's acting nice right now, but you don't know her as I do. Comet doesn't know her as I do! She'll pretend to be your friend, to care about you, just to get what she wants, only to throw you aside when she doesn't need you anymore."

"Bawk, bawk, baw, bawk-ghak," Big Chicken said as he watched the ongoing conversation.

"Yeah, man. That's really harsh, girl," Bearicorn commented.

"You stay out of this, buddy!" Marcia said to the bear-man, making the two Monsters shudder and return to their task of guarding their prisoners.

Aqua looked at how upset her friend was for a moment, wanting to understand why she was so upset about this Brittney Wong. After thinking about what she wanted to say, she spoke up again. "Marcia, you are right. I do not know her as well as you do. But I want to know more about her and why she seems to make you so upset."

Marcia grimaced, clearly not wanting to bring up her past with Brittney again. "Are you sure you want to hear it, Aqua? It's not something that I like to talk about."

Aqua nodded. "I am sure. But I feel like I need to hear this. Besides, we are not going anywhere anytime soon."

Well, Diaz, she's got you there, Marcia had to admit to herself. Realizing that there was no way out of this, Marcia adjusted her posture, trying to get as comfortable as possible before she began.

"I already told Comet this story once, but I guess I'll have to start from the beginning. Brittney Wong was born the daughter of a wealthy businessman, one of the richest in California. Her parents were always busy with their jobs, so they couldn't raise her by themselves. So, they hired my Mom to babysit her. And since it's important for a baby to have others to interact with, my Mom brought me along to play with her. And even though we came from different worlds, we became the best of friends." Marcia let the faint memories she had of her and a toddler-aged Brittney having fun together flow through her mind without even meaning to. Running around her giant mansion, playing pretend, and just having fun.

"Everything was great until we finally entered elementary school together, and we found ourselves on opposite ends of the social hierarchy. With her cute looks, charisma, and parent's money, Brittney naturally ended up at the top. While I, the insecure girl who was too afraid to make friends with the boy I liked, wound up at the bottom. At first, Brittney said that that didn't change anything; she would still be my friend, no matter what. Heh, some friend. She started to spend less and less time with me. Some days, it felt like she didn't even acknowledge my existence. And then, she started to laugh at me when something bad happened."

Aqua silently nodded, letting Marcia continue her story. "She became so cold and distant to me. It felt like the more I tried to get close to her, the harder she pushed me away. One day in Third Grade, I finally cornered her and asked her why she stopped hanging out with me. And she told me that someone like her, who was destined for great things, couldn't afford to be seen hanging out with a bottom-dwelling nobody like me. And just like that, our friendship came to an end. Like...I was nothing. She didn't even acknowledge the fact that we used to be friends."

"Marcia..." Aqua quietly said.

"But what does it matter? Like I told her at Britta's Tacos, I moved on from everything. Whatever happened between us is dead and buried."

"Marcia, do you expect me to believe that?" Aqua suddenly asked.

"I'm sorry, what did you say to me?" Marcia asked, not sure if she heard her friend right.

"Marcia, I may not have known Brittney until today, and I cannot understand what you have gone through with her, but it is obvious that you are still not over what she did to you."

"What, no! That's not true!" Marcia vehemently denied what Aqua was saying.

"Marcia, you are lying to yourself about this. It is very obvious that you haven't forgiven Brittney for what she did to you."

"Of course, I haven't forgiven her! How could I forgive her for what she did to me? All those years she abandoned me, and how she tried to humiliate me at her birthday party! How could anyone forgive someone for that!?" Marcia had said all of this on reflex, without even thinking. It was only after the words had left her mouth that she realized what Aqua had done.

Did...did I just get played by Aqua? Marcia started to turn red with embarrassment as she realized that Aqua had tricked her into revealing her real thoughts. Not helping things was the fact that she was studying to be a psychologist! This sort of thing shouldn't happen to her!

"All right, sue me! So I'm still not over what Brittney did to me. But that doesn't change the fact that I still think that this new behavior of hers is just an act to impress Comet. And besides, shouldn't you be upset about this?"

"I do not understand your logic, Marcia," Aqua said, confused.

"I know that you have a crush on Comet, Aqua. It's written all over your face! That makes her a love rival to you. So why are you insisting on being so nice to her?"

Now it was Aqua's turn to blush in embarrassment. However, she quickly collected herself and began to speak again. "It is true that I hold the feelings for Comet. However, that is no excuse for me to be mean to Brittney over it. Otherwise, I would be no better than someone like Tamara Lucitor."

"Wait, you mean Tammy?" Marcia asked before a realization suddenly hit her. "Oh yeah, that's right. You were friends with her, weren't you?"

"Well, I would not call her a friend. We were more of mutual acquaintances of Comet. I tried several times to get her to open up to me more, but she did not seem to want anything to do with me. I think it was because-"

"She didn't like the fact that another girl was getting too close to him and threatened to tear you limb from limb?" Marcia guessed, finishing her sentence.

"Yes, that is exactly correct! But how did you-?"

"She showed up at school one day looking for Comet. I won't go into the details, but she did not seem happy to see me. I'm pretty sure if Comet weren't there, she'd have thrown me into hellfire for all eternity."

The two girls began to smile before laughing together, happy at the prospect of bonding, even under their strange circumstances. Eventually, once the laughter subsided, Aqua began to speak once more.

"Listen, Marcia. I know that it may not seem entirely possible for you to let go of what Brittney did to you. And I know that I have only known her for less than a day. But whatever she may have been like in the past, I can tell you now that she is trying to be a better person. I do not think that the girl you once knew would step in to help a stranger being harassed by two boys."

"Wait?" Marcia asked, hearing what Aqua had said but having a hard time believing it. "Brittney did that? For you?"

"Mm-hm," Aqua said, nodding her head.

"Even so, that doesn't make up for everything she did," Marcia retorted. "She can's just act like the last few years of her being a bitch never happened. And she can't expect me to act like it didn't."

"Then don't, Marcia. What happened in the past is over and done with, and you cannot change it. But that does not mean that you cannot build a new future. Forgiving someone and forgetting what they did are not the same thing. You may never forget how she treated you in the past, but you shouldn't let that cloud your opinion about her for the rest of her life."

The more Marcia listened to what Aqua had to say, the more she had to admit that she was right. And suddenly, she began to feel very ashamed about how she had lashed out at Brittney earlier. She had spent the whole afternoon being so paranoid about Brittney Wong that she let her emotions get the better of her.

"You're right, Aqua. I went too far with Brittney, and I should apologize to her the next time we see each other," Marcia wearily said. "That is after we get out of this mess," she added as she looked around the warehouse, now under the control of Ludo's Monsters and rigged with traps and fortifications as far as the eye could see.

"Do not worry, Marcia. Even if Comet does not come, I am certain that one of your many friends will be able to rescue us." Aqua confidently said.

"Ha! You wish, girl!" the shrill voice of Ludo cried out as he suddenly returned to face the two girls. "In case I didn't make it clear earlier, I've rigged this whole place with the best in anti-Comet defenses and traps. And I've got my men posted at every entrance. If he ever wants to get in here and see you two again, then he better be prepared to give up that Wand!" the little birdman mockingly said. "There's no way that he's going to stop us this time!"

At that exact moment, though, the lights inside the massive warehouse began to flicker and then ceased functioning altogether. Within seconds, the warehouse was plunged into a state of twilight. The only light left came from the rays of the setting sun.

All around the warehouse, Monsters could be heard shouting and yelling in a panic. They had no idea what was going on, but they were trying to figure out what happened.

"What in the Seven Hells just happened?! Did one of you idiots mess with the power?" Ludo began to yell at his warriors. "I want to know who is responsible for this!"

"Ludo, sir, we don't know what happened." Lobster Claws said as he rushed up to his leader. "We were patrolling the area in case Comet showed up, and then the next thing we know, the lights went out."

If Lobster Claws was hoping that this was the answer that Ludo wanted to hear, he was sorely mistaken. Instead, Ludo pounced up, grabbed him by the stalks of his nose-thing, and brought him down to his eye level. "Did I ask for excuses, Lobster Claws? No, I did not! Now hurry up and fix things before the Prince shows up and gets the drop on us!"

"Sorry, Ludo, but Comet's a little busy right now." A new voice suddenly began to ring out inside the warehouse, making everyone stop dead in their tracks. "But I'm more than happy to deal with you guys in his place."

Ludo's eyes began to dart around the warehouse angrily. Who was that voice?! And why did it sound so familiar!? "Where are you? Show yourself!"

"Uh, uh, uh, Ludo. You don't want to spoil the surprise just yet," the voice taunted. Then, out of the corner of his eye, Ludo saw a tiny figure dart across the catwalk before slipping back into the shadows.

"There he is! Potato Baby, Man Arm, get him!" The two Monsters looked at each other for a moment in confusion before shrugging their shoulders and heading for the nearest ladder. As they got about halfway up the ladder, though, they heard a loud whooshing sound, right before a powerful force hit them like a ton of bricks, sending them falling back to the ground in a thud.

"What is going on here? I ordered you to get up there and bring me the intruder!" Ludo yelled.

"No can do, birdman," the voice cried out once more. "Got to get everything ready, first."

"Grrr...who are you?" Ludo growled in frustration. At that exact moment, though, the massive double doors at the front of the warehouse were ripped from the walls by a tremendous explosion that flung them halfway across the building before they finally, thankfully, came to a rest just inches short of hitting Ludo.

Marcia and Aqua thought they saw all the color leave Ludo's tiny green face for a moment. As they watched the strange exchange continue, they were as confused as the rest of the Monsters were. Though they recognized who the voice was, they were more confused about how the person it belonged to was pulling this stunt off. Fortunately, they did not have to wait long to get an answer, as a figure appeared out of the smoke coming from the now doorless entrance.

"You wanted to know who I am, Ludo?" The figure said. "I am known by many names. Teacher's torment, freak boy, Most likely to be on the FBI's 'Most Wanted List.'" As the figure finally stepped out of the smoke, Marcia and Aqua's went as wide as dinner plates. Standing in the middle of the warehouse, with his blue jacket, olive beanie, and these metal gloves, was Jonah. "My friends, though, call me Jonah Ordonia. But you can call me the Raven Alchemist."

"Oh, no, he was serious about that," Marcia groaned.

Ludo and the other Monsters looked at the boy, completely and utterly confused by what the heck was going on. "Um, who are you, and why should I care about whatever it is you were saying just now?" Ludo finally asked, much to his men's exasperation.

"Boss, that's the psycho who kept chasing me on the party bus!" Boo Fly said as he hid behind Tyler the Goat-Turtle in sheer terror. The flying insectoid Monster still had nightmares about that experience.

"Nope, doesn't ring a bell," Ludo said.

"Master, he blinded me with pepper spray and tased Beard Deer," Buff Frog mentioned. It took hours for Buff Frog to get the pepper out of his eyes.

"Drawing a blank here," Ludo told them.

The other Monsters just looked at each other in exasperation. They knew that Ludo could be callous, but to completely forget about their plight at the hands of Comet's freaky human friend felt like a punch to their collective guts.

"He threw that man-eating book at your face," Spike Balls reminded him. This actually managed to jog Ludo's memory.

"Wait, that WAS YOU!?" Ludo shouted, his face contorting into one of pure, unbridled rage as he remembered how terrifying that experience was. More importantly, though, if it hadn't been for Jonah, Ludo would have gotten the Dragonfly Wand right then and there. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have to resort to methods such as this! I could be conquering the universe right now! I COULD FINALLY HAVE MY BIG BOY BODY! YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR YOUR INTERFERENCE, HUMAN!" Ludo yelled as the stress of the last hour gave way to fury. "MINIONS, BRING ME HIS HEAD! AND THE REST OF HIM!"

The Monsters didn't need any further orders. They all proceeded to rush directly at Jonah. Before long, they had completely surrounded him and began to laugh and cackle at what they thought would come next.

"I'm going to enjoy this," Beard Deer said as he cracked his knuckles.

"It's payback time, you little psycho!" Boo Fly angrily cried out.

Back to the side, Marcia and Aqua struggled to get a better look at what was going on. There were so many Monsters surrounding Jonah that they couldn't even see him anymore.

"What does your friend even think he's doing? He's going to get himself killed!" Aqua cried out in concern at what was transpiring.

"Well, it's Jonah, so he's either got some sort of grand plan in place, or he's finally lost it and decided to get us all killed," Marcia deadpanned. Having known Jonah for years, she knew that he was the kind of person who liked to work from the shadows. If he wanted to pull a prank on another student or some unfortunate teacher, he would make sure he never got caught. If he ever dared to show himself, then that could only mean one thing: he wanted people to see him.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm really hoping that Jonah can pull off...whatever it is he's trying to pull off, Marcia thought as she strained to see what was happening.

"It was foolish to come here alone, little boy," Buff Frog said as he glared down at Jonah, who didn't lose his smirk for a second.

"Now, who said anything about me coming here alone?" Jonah smugly told the Amphibian. "Coryn, use airslash!"

As soon as Jonah finished saying that, the very familiar cry of a certain, owl-like creature rang out in the warehouse. From above in the steel rafters came Coryn, much to the shock of the Monsters. Before they could even react, the little Pokémon charged up his wings and claws before slicing into the air, creating a volley of air-blades that sped directly towards the Monsters and tore through them.

"AHHHH!" The Monsters began to scream in pain, some clutching their chests in pain. The attack had left no visible injuries, but it hurt like crazy all the same.

"What in the...what is this?" Buff Frog managed to get out as he began to stagger back from the blow, as did several of his comrades. Even amid this pain, though, Buff Frog's keen eyes started to dart around, trying to figure out what had just hit them. The human boy hadn't moved an inch, and the tiny, bird-like creature that had just appeared didn't even come close to them. Yet, it felt like their bodies were assaulted by a series of invisible blades.

Jonah watched as the Monsters began to back away from him in a panic while Ludo just stood there, furious that the boy was interfering with his plans once more. And Jonah just relished the looks of fear and frustration on his enemy's faces. "Poor guys. You're probably wondering what exactly is happening. Unfortunately for you, Coryn here," he then pointed to the Hoothoot, "isn't a normal bird. He's a Pokémon from a very popular video game franchise found here on Earth. And unlike regular animals, Pokémon have abilities that border on superpowered or even magical." Jonah then began to take a step forward, making some of the Monsters back away even further. "That attack just now was only one of Coryn's various skills, all of which are more than capable of wiping the floor with you. And they're not the only ones that I happened to bring with me this evening." Jonah then whistled, and, in an instant, more strange creatures came barreling in through the door. The laser puppies, a peculiar, jaw-mouthed plant in a jar, a teddy bear with an eye patch, and flying monkeys all appeared, making short work of whatever traps the Monsters had set up and stood beside Jonah.

"I'm sure you're acquainted with a few of these guys by now. And you should know that none of them are happy that you kidnapped their friends." The puppies began to growl at the Monsters while the teddy bear glared at them with its one good eye. "Boys, you know what to do," Jonah told them.

"You got it, boss man," the teddy bear said. "FOR PONY!" And with that, the spells, laser puppies, and Pokémon all charged forward to face Ludo's cronies.

"Stand ground, comrades!" Buff Frog yelled to his fellow Monsters as he bellowed a mighty battle cry and surged forward, with the others following suit. In an instant, the entire warehouse had descended into complete anarchy. Man Arm and Spike Balls used their powerful arms to swat at the flying monkeys even as Coryn provided cover with more long-range attacks, only to be caught in a mid-air fight with Boo Fly. The teddy bear had some of the laser puppies lay down volley after volley of laserbeams at Tyler the goat-turtle and Three-Eyed Potato Baby, and the Piranha Plant began to hop around the place and started eating up all the traps the Monsters had set up. Simultaneously, Lobster Claws and Dave and Ping Pong tried to stop it, only for the plant thing to retaliate by spinning its leaves around like a buzzsaw. It was utter chaos!

Amid all this chaos, no one seemed to notice that Jonah had slipped away into the shadows, pleased with what was happening even as he used his taser and pepper spray to take out a few stray Monsters. All right, phase one is complete. Now on to phase two. Jonah then pulled out some chalk and sharpie markers and began to make his way around the warehouse, ready to put the next part of his plan into action.

End Music

On the other end of the warehouse, Ludo, the girls, and the monsters guarding them were trying to make sense of what was going on, to no avail. Ludo alternated between wanting to shout and bark orders at his Monsters to win or hide somewhere safe, while Bearicorn and Big Chicken wondered if they should join the fight. Unfortunately for them, the noise from the fighting was so loud that none of them noticed another figure had snuck behind them and made their way to the girls (and Pokémon). Marcia didn't even notice the approaching figure until she felt a light tap on her shoulder, making her head wheel around to see who it was. As she did so, Marcia felt her mouth hang open in surprise, as it was the last person that she ever thought would be in a dangerous situation like this.

"Brittney?" Marcia whispered in shock, trying to make sure that her eyes weren't deceiving her. But they weren't. Somehow, against all logic and everything she knew about the girl, Brittney Wong bent down on one knee next to her.

"Keep it down, Diaz," Brittney hissed to her. "If you make too much noise, those freaks will know something's up, and this rescue mission will be over before it starts."

"Rescue? You're here to rescue us?" Marcia repeated, trying to make sure that she heard right over all the fighting.

"Well, duh. Why else would I be here?" Brittney told her as she pulled out a bobby pin and metal cutting pliers and began working on the cuffs restraining Marcia. Off to the side, Aqua couldn't help but smile.

"See, Marcia. I told you that Brittney would come back for us," she susurrated, proud to know that her judgment of Brittney Wong's character had been validated. "Was Jonah's appearance your doing as well?" the Mermaid then asked.

Brittney shook her head. "No, this was all that freak's idea. He would go in and distract everyone while I would sneak in and free you guys. Now keep quiet. These handcuffs are already hard enough to break, and I can't be distracted by your talking." Brittney grunted as she tried to break the cuffs, only for the pliers themselves begin to warp and buckle. Frustrated, Brittney set the pliers aside and tried to use a bobby pin to pick them free.

"But why, Brittney?" Marcia questioned. "You have nothing to gain from doing this, so why are you even here?" Try as she might, Marcia still couldn't look past her prejudice towards Brittney, making the latter girl frown as she looked up at her.

"Because that's what friends are supposed to do, right? They're supposed to help each other out when they're in trouble and not expect anything in return," Brittney sharply stated, making Marcia pause. On the other hand, Brittney grunted in frustration as the bobby pin broke inside the lock for the handcuffs. "Damn it, this is getting us nowhere. Any of you girls got a better idea?"

"I have one," Aqua said. "If you could free Misty, maybe she can help us." Aqua then swung her head as she pointed at the lidded jar that held the Pokémon captive.

"Wait, that's a real animal? I thought that it was a-ugh, never mind." Brittney didn't want to argue about this any further. Quietly, she crept over to Aqua, making sure that the Monsters didn't hear her amidst the chaos, and picked up the jar holding the Horsea. She carefully unscrewed the lid on top before putting it to one side and then scooped the little Pokémon out of the pot.

"Sea, Horsea!" Misty said happily, making the girls briefly tense up, thinking that that would give them away. Fortunately, Big Chicken and Bearicorn didn't hear it over the din of the fighting.

"Okay, I got, uh, it," Brittney said, confused as to whether the little Pokémon was a boy or girl. "Now what?"

"Bring her next to the cuffs," Aqua instructed, with Brittney following her directions without any fuss. "Okay, Misty, now, use water gun on these handcuffs." Aqua knew that it was a gamble, but from what she'd seen and heard, the moves of Pokémon were very powerful and capable of causing significant damage. If Misty concentrated where she sprayed water, the force might be enough to shatter the handcuffs.

Misty nodded her head and began to shoot out a jet of water from its mouth. At first, the beam was very large and only succeeded in getting Aqua's hands wet. However, the Horsea then began to focus the water into a smaller, more concentrated beam until it became a tiny water jet, focused entirely on the cuffs keeping her master prisoner. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then, Aqua felt the metal begin to give way from the immense pressure until, at last, they snapped entirely, freeing her!

"Yes. Now do Marcia's," Aqua then instructed her Pokémon bodyguard. After another few moments, the restraints on Marcia's wrists shattered, freeing her as well.

"Finally. Thank you, Misty," Marcia said, leaning over to pat the Pokémon's head, making it smile. She then remembered that it was Brittney who helped them to get free, though. "And thank you, Brittney," she reluctantly added on.

"You're welcome," Brittney simply said, not wanting to make a bigger deal out of things.

"What is our next move, then?" Aqua asked, only to be silenced by a very loud cawing ahead of them. The girls then looked up to realize that Bearicorn and Big Chicken had finally noticed what was going on right behind them. And they were not happy about it at all.

"Oh boy. Boss, the girls got free!" Bearicorn shouted to Ludo, who had been trying to get command of his men, with barely any success. Hearing this prompted her to look behind him and see that the girls were now standing there, free. Marcia swore that she could see Ludo's face get nearly as red as the shirt she was wearing.

"GET THEM, YOU FOOLS! WITHOUT THEM, THIS WHOLE PLAN IS RUINED!" Ludo screeched at the top of his lungs, prompting the chicken and bear-man to rush at the girls as Marcia got into a battle stance, ready to defend the other two.

"Force them all to the center of the warehouse. Your weirdo friend said he's got something planned," Brittney said as she then tried to make for cover.

"On it," Marcia said as she charged forward to deliver a high-kick to Bearicorn, sending him staggering back in pain as he tried to recover. Big Chicken jumped high into the air and prepared to drop kick Marcia before she could dodge, only to be met with a blast of water that sent him flying into a nearby wall.

"Oh no, BC!" Bearicorn shouted as he began to recover, running over to his fallen comrade in a panic. "Speak to me, man. SPEAK TO MEEEE!" Bearicorn cried in anguish as he shook the bruised body of the chicken monster.

"Ba-gawk. Buck bu-buck bacaw," Big Chicken managed to get out, a phrase which here means "Mommy, my nest won't stop chafing my thighs." The giant bird was clearly delirious from the concussion. As for what caused his current state, Marcia looked over and saw Aqua proudly standing there, holding Misty in her arms as water dripped out of the little Horsea's mouth.

"Good girl, Misty," Aqua lovingly told her guard Pokémon, making it squee in delight.

"Thanks for the save, Misty," Marcia said, nodding her head. "Now help us herd these guys to the center of the warehouse." With that, Marcia jumped back into the fray alongside Coryn and one of the laser puppies. Aqua and Misty kept the outer perimeter secure and kept an eye on Brittney, who was trying to find a safe place to remain while the fighting continued. As much as she wanted to help, she knew that she was useless in a fight like this.

Meanwhile, in another part of the warehouse, away from the fighting, Jonah was busy drawing away a transmutation circle on the ground, grateful that he had the foresight to grab various drawing utensils from the Diaz House before coming to rescue the girls. As he carefully drew the array needed to activate the array, he happened to glance up and see the all-out brawl that he had started. It was utter chaos; laser puppies were yapping away and shooting at Monsters, flying monkeys were screeching and dropping banana bombs. Coryn was nimbly dodging any and all attempts to catch him. At the same time, Marcia just plowed through mooks like they were nothing.

Looks like little miss heiress pulled through. Good. Now I can focus on phase two.

It looked like Jonah's decision to march right into the warehouse was suicidal arrogance on the surface. As good as he was, he was still only human, and only one person, at that. However, if there's one thing that Jonah had learned from his years of causing mischief, it's that you need to plan three steps ahead of anyone in your way.

Jonah knew that he wouldn't be able to match Ludo's men in a straight-up fight, which was why before coming to the abandoned warehouse, he went to the Diaz house and got the laser puppies and Coryn to join him in the rescue operation. As an added bonus, he also got a few of the spells that hung out in Comet's room to join in. While they distracted Ludo's army and forced them to the warehouse center, he would be making preparations to deliver the coup de grace.

All of this depends on making sure none of those morons manages to notice that I'm not-

"There you are!"

Shit, Jonah cursed his bad luck as he looked up to find himself face to face with none other than Beard Deer. The deer monster had multiple bruises covering his body, tiny burn marks from the laser puppies' eye blasts, and his shirt had a slash mark across the middle from where Coryn had got him. Needless to say, he was pissed off and looking at Jonah like a vicious predator that had just cornered his prey.

"You don't think I'd forgotten about you, did you?" Beard Deer growled at Jonah as the teenaged boy got to his feet. "By the time I'm done with you, you're gonna wish that you'd never met Comet Dragonfly," Beard Deer said with a snarl as he cracked his knuckles. He was very much looking forward to paying the brat back for all the trouble he'd caused him and his friends.

"Yeah, I doubt I will," Jonah said, smirking. "See, life in Echo Creek's been fun for the last fourteen years. Messing with Marcia, dabbling in the arcane, pissing off authority figures, and getting away with it. But that's nothing compared to what I've been able to do since I met Comet," Jonah said, his voice filled with steely resolve. "For example, thanks to that book I got at Quest Buy, I learned how to do this!" Before Beard Deer could even react, Jonah kneeled down and touched the transmutation circle. The circle began to respond in an instant, breaking and reshaping the floor's matter beneath it. The concrete floor began to twist and morph into a new shape, then lunged at Beard Deer.

"What the f-" before the Monster could even finish cussing, he felt a giant, concrete fist slam into him with the force of a semi-truck. His entire body felt like it was on fire from the sheer amount of pain, leaving him unable to comprehend the fact he was now flying several feet in the air. That is until a painful, stinging sensation ran through his back as he collided with the roof. And then another stinging sensation as he fell back to the ground.

"H-how is this possible?" Beard Deer weakly asked as he looked up at Jonah. "Humans aren't supposed to know how to use magic."

"But it's not magic. It's alchemy," Jonah said as he walked up to the fallen Monster. "And this is where the legend of the Raven Alchemist began. So, you should consider yourself flattered that you got to see it," he boasted. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I just need to make some adjustments, and I'll be able to start the show." And with that, Jonah went to draw another circle.

Jonah wasn't creating transmutation circles at random. H had been arranging them into a circular pattern and then connecting them together. While they were testing out his skills around Echo Creek, Glossaryck had told him about an advanced form of alchemy that he had heard of. By connecting multiple transmutation circles, it was possible to chain them into a new, larger array. If that were true, then it would be possible for Jonah to activate multiple transmutation circles at once without actually needing to touch them.

It was a pretty big gamble that Jonah was betting on, but he had always thought that it was better to go big or go home. And in this case, it may be their only chance to go home at all.

As Jonah finished the final circle, he saw that Marcia and the others had pulled through. Without even realizing it, Ludo and his minions had found themselves being herded towards the center of the warehouse. They still had the number and size advantage, though, so they wouldn't be there for long. If this was going to work, then Jonah had to do it now.

Fortune favors the bold, Jonah thought to himself as he quickly tapped the newly created circle and then watched as the glowing alchemical reaction began to make its way to the other circles. Jonah then ran to join his friends. He wanted to have a front-row seat to his masterpiece.

"You know, Ludo, this is kind of sad," Marcia taunted the angry little birdman. "Comet's not even here, and you and your friends are still getting your asses handed to you."

Ludo's face was beginning to new shades of red as his anger continued to mount. "Shut up, you little brat! In case you haven't noticed, we still outnumber you and have, like, three hundred pounds on all of you combined!" Ludo angrily gestured to his assembled Monsters, most of whom were several times larger than Marcia or Aqua.

"And yet, we're still winning, so I guess size doesn't matter."

"ENOUGH!" Ludo shouted. "I AM GETTING THAT WAND IF IT'S THE LAST THING THAT I DO!"

"I'd be more careful about what you say, Ludo," a new voice called out to the birdman, prompting everyone to look and see Jonah running towards them. "Guys, if I were you, then I would duck right about now," Jonah said as he finally reached the girl's Pokemon, spells, and laser puppies.

Marcia tilted her head in confusion at this, as she still didn't understand what exactly was going on. Brittney, on the other hand, while she was still trying to grasp at the fact that Jonah now had these freaky powers, already knew what he was planning. Not even waiting for the others to protest, Brittney promptly grabbed Marcia, Aqua, and Misty and threw them to the ground.

"Brittney, what the hell do you-" Marcia started to say, only to be cut off by the serious look in Brittney's eyes.

"I don't know what's about to happen, Diaz, but trust me when I say that you'll thank me for this in a minute."

"Can someone please explain to me what the heck is going on!?" Ludo asked in confusion as the teens, puppies, and assorted associates began ducking for cover. Everyone, except for Jonah, who just stood there and took out his smartphone, looking as smug and self-assured as ever, and began to play music.

"What on Mewni are you doing now?" Ludo asked, now totally lost.

"Setting the mood for a total ass-kicking," Jonah said, setting the volume on his phone up to max before taking cover himself. And just in time. At that moment, the chain alchemy array kicked in. The transmutation circles surrounding both groups converted the encompassing ground into the matter necessary for what Jonah intended to create. Before any of the Monsters could realize what was going on, they found facing down the barrels of multiple machine guns, artillery pieces, and more.

"Wh-what is this?! What kind of magic is this?!" Ludo shrieked as he felt himself on the verge of a panic attack.

"It's not magic, Ludo. It's alchemy. Courtesy of the Raven Alchemist!" Jonah proclaimed. And on that note, his symphony of cannons and artillery pieces lit up the dim light of the warehouse.

"Oh no," Ludo uttered in a tone so quiet, no one else was able to hear it.

What happened next was, for all intents and purposes, chaos. Organized, directed, and focused all on Ludo and the unfortunate Monsters. Faced with wall upon wall of concrete bullets and cannon fire, the Monsters began to panic and dived behind pillars and do just about anything to save themselves. Alas, their efforts were in vain. Even if they managed to shield themselves from one area of attack, Jonah had been so thorough with his circles that there was simply no place they could go and not get hit. Soon, everyone in Ludo's group was battered and covered in bruises, black eyes, bent eye stalks, and cracked shells. Even naturally armored Monsters like Lobster Claws and Tyler were taking a beating.

Seeing his men beginning to fall around him, Ludo was now facing utter disaster. Being the leader that he was, he responded in the most appropriate way possible: panicking.

"EVERYONE, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" Ludo squawked, pulling out his dimensional scissors and quickly cutting open a portal, not caring where he put it so long as it led them away from this carnage. The other Monsters didn't even need to be told what to do. The ones that weren't too hurt just grabbed their friends, and they began to scramble into the portal, with Ludo being among the first to head through, not caring about the safety of his men. He did, however, poke his tiny, beaked head back out and glared in the direction of Jonah.

"This isn't over, you little brat! Mark my words, YOU ARE GOING TO RUE THE DAY YOU CHOSE TO CROSS LUDO AVA-OW!" Ludo didn't even get the chance to finish his vengeance vow, as he got smacked right in the kisser by a concrete bullet. "Oh, shit, I think I cracked my beak on that one!" And with that, Ludo disappeared into the portal, which promptly closed.

End Music

The moment that the portal closed, the alchemically created guns fell silent. Jonah had set them to run on a timer, gambling that Ludo and his guys would flee before they finished their barrage. And it looked like that gamble had ultimately paid off. Smiling to himself, Jonah was the first of the group to get up off the floor and look around at the damage. The entire warehouse was in shambles. There were scorch marks from the laser puppies lining the walls and floors. Some of the steel pillars had noticeable cuts in them from Coryn's attacks. And he was pretty sure that we're a few massive puddles of water, courtesy of Misty. But still, they had all made it out in one piece, so he wasn't complaining.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and those of unspecified gender, the day is ours," Jonah announced, prompting everyone to jump up from the ground and begin celebrating.

"YEAH, BOYYYYYY!" The Piranha Plant cried out in joy. The Flying Monkeys began to fly through the air in celebration. In contrast, Coryn immediately flew into Marcia's arm, happily hooting at the fact that his friend was safe, with the girl eagerly giving him a hug in gratitude while Aqua did the same to Misty. The teddy bear with the eye patch started dancing around in victory while the laser puppies happily yapped away at the girl's feet. All the while, Brittney didn't join in the celebration or say a word. She just stood there, looking at Marcia and Aqua with a content smile on her face.

End Music

The sun was beginning to set by the time the party left the warehouse victorious. Since Marcia didn't have any dimensional scissors, the Flying Monkeys agreed to return the laser puppies and other spells to the Diaz house, leading everyone to wave goodbye to them, with Marcia promising to give them extra food for dinner that night. Jonah made it a point to thank them all for their help and that he wouldn't hesitate to call on them again if he ever needed any assistance. After that, though, he wouldn't stop boasting about how awesome he was.

"So, Marcia, you still think that the title of 'Raven Alchemist' is still dumb?" Jonah questioned her with a smirk on his face. Marcia resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him, figuring that he earned this.

"Okay, okay, I'll admit it. I thought that the title sounded dumb at first, but looking back on it now, I get why you chose it. It suits you." Marcia told him.

"I am sorry, but I do not understand why you would associate yourself with what I understand is a common type of bird in this world," Aqua admitted.

"In many mythologies on Earth, the Raven is heavily associated with the supernatural," Jonah began to explain. "In some instances, it's said to represent the gift of prophecy. In others, they are considered to be mediators between the world of the living and the land of the dead. And for some, they are considered to be omens of fortune, both good and bad." Jonah looked up at the setting sun and smiled to himself. "That's what I want people to know me as. When my enemies see me, they'll know that no good will come from my presence and fear me."

The look on Jonah's face then became far more devious in nature. "The very thought of people throughout the universe trembling in fear at my presence sounds like a dream come true! I can hardly wait for the day to arrive when everyone in existence knows my name!"

Marcia felt sweat drop from her face as she nervously looked at her frenemy. "I swear, that boy must have been a demon in a past life," she muttered to herself in exasperation. This didn't last long, though, as she felt Aqua nudge at her shoulder. Curious, she looked at her friend and saw her tilt her head off the side. Standing away from the others, cradling her arms by the elbows, was Brittney Wong. She looked torn, like part of her wanted to walk up and talk to them, while the other part questioned if she even had the right to be there.

"You should say something to her," Aqua whispered, reminding her of what they had talked about in the warehouse.

Marcia sighed. She knew her friend was right. "All right, wish me luck." And with that, Marcia walked over to Brittney, ready to confront her past.

"Hey, Brittney," Marcia simply said as she approached Brittney. Brittney blinked in surprise. Marcia was actually speaking to her! For a moment, she was at a loss for words. She had spent the last hour or so rehearsing what she had wanted to say to Marcia, to tell her just how sorry she was for being a jerk for all those years. But when the moment finally came, her mind was drawing a blank.

Finally, her brain began to scramble to find something, anything to say, to end the awkward silence. "Marcia-" she started to say, only for Marcia to hold up a hand. Brittney fell silent once more.

"Just...just let me say something," Marcia calmly said. "I don't know how much you remember, but I can still remember all of the fun that we had together when we were little. Running around your mansion, you standing up to those bullies for me, treating every day like a new adventure. You were always so confident and self-assured in yourself, while I seemed nervous about pretty much everything. But no matter how scared I was, you would always find a way to make me want to try something new and exciting. You seemed to bring out the best in me. You were probably my first real friend, Brittney. Which only made it harder to bear when you decided to abandon me."

Marcia then took a deep breath. "It really hurt, you know. Hearing you say that someone like you couldn't afford to hang out with a nobody like me. It felt like my whole world was falling apart. I wouldn't stop crying in my room for days." Marcia unconsciously clenched her fist as she remembered how sad she'd been. "But after that, I stopped crying. Instead, I tried to carry on with my life. And eventually, I found new friends to spend time with." Marcia couldn't help but glance at Jonah and Aqua as she said this. "And just like you tried to distance yourself from me, I tried to do the same for you. And before we knew it, we became bitter enemies. And then, Comet showed up, and he became the best friend I had since, well, you. And I think we both know the rest." Brittney hung her head in shame as he remembered the events of her birthday party.

"But then," Marcia continued, "you started acting differently. You left the cheer team, you helped us out when Comet went through Mewberty, and you helped Comet out with that angry mob." Brittney wanted to say something about it, but Marcia beat her to it. "Comet told me. And it sounded like he was willing to give you a second chance. But, as I proved today, I wasn't. I know that you still like Comet and are trying to win him over, so I immediately assumed that you trying to be nice to Aqua and me was just another ploy. But then Aqua made me realize something: that I was lying to myself."

"Marcia..."

"I had convinced myself that I had moved on from what you did to me, that I didn't need you in my life anymore. But after blowing up at you today over an accident, it's clear that I haven't." Marcia then looked Brittney did in the eye. "What you did hurt me. It was one of the most painful things that I've ever gone through. But I shouldn't let what happened in the past affect what our future will be like. So, maybe I should at least give you the benefit of the doubt."

"So, does this mean that you forgive me? For everything?" Brittney hopefully asked. Marcia shook her head.

"I don't know if I'll ever fully forgive you, Brittney, or if we can ever truly be friends again," Marcia said, making Brittney's face sink. "But after today, I would consider it to be a good start," the Diaz girl added, putting a small smile on Brittney's face.

End Music

"Awww, that is soooo sweet!" Aqua said as she watched everything from the sidelines. "I am so happy that the two of you are now friends again!"

"I wouldn't go as far as calling us that, Aqua," Marcia bluntly told the Mermaid. "But I think we can bury the hatchet, at least."

"I would like that," Brittney said, smiling.

The moment was then broken as Jonah called out to them. "Hey, ladies, are you done with your dramatic make-up session? Because we should probably get out of here before the cops come and start questioning what the Hell happened here."

"That's a good point. I doubt that the police would believe us." Brittney commented. And with that, the group began to head home.

"So, Aqua, I'm sorry that our 'girls day' turned out to be a bust," Marcia said apologetically to her friend, who merely smiled.

"Do not be sorry, Marcia. I had a wonderful day spending time with you in your hometown, and I managed to make a new friend in the process." Hearing that made Brittney smile. "I cannot wait to tell my father when I head back to the palace tonight. Though I will probably leave out the part where we got kidnapped by Monsters."

"Wait, palace?" Brittney asked in confusion.

"Oh, did I not tell you? I am the Princess of the Undersea Kingdom of Oceanus," Aqua said, smiling.

"YOU'RE A PRINCESS!?" Brittney shouted in sheer shock. She had no idea that the girl she had met that day was royalty!

"And a mermaid," Marcia added.

"Why did no one tell me this!?"

"You didn't ask." Marcia playfully told her.

"Don't be so mean to her, Marcia. I seem to remember that we had the exact same reaction when Comet first told us." Jonah said, well aware of the irony that he was being the straight man for once.

As Brittney was busy trying to process what she had just heard, Marcia couldn't help but feel curious about Comet. "Speaking of Comet, I wonder how his little 'science project' is doing."

Spongebob Narrator-Meanwhile...

"WHOO! WHOOOOOO!" Ferguson shouted in joy.

"I hope you're recording this one, Alfonso! I'm going to hit this one straight into orbit!" Comet cried out as he began to lean out of a magical golf cart, his Wand now converted into a golf club.

"Camera is up and rolling, Comet. Take the shot!" Alfonso said as he drove the cart.

Before they had arrived on the surface of the Moon, Comet had used his magic to create an invisible force field around the three boys to provide them with unlimited oxygen and protect them from the ravages of space. The spell worked, and for the next two hours, the boys had relished in the ability to freely walk and jump around on the lunar surface. After that, they got the idea to emulate the late astronaut Alan Shephard and play some lunar golf. All it took was another spell from Comet's Wand to conjure up a golf cart and some balls, and the trio was having the time of their lives.

In fact, they were having so much fun that they almost forgot to do anything related to their science report. When they got back that evening, they managed to scrape together something using the footage they took along with some souvenir rocks. Meanwhile, every space agency on the planet would spend the next few weeks baffled by the sudden appearance of several dozen golf balls in low lunar orbit.

Ludo was not in a good mood.

After managing to drag themselves back to Castle Avarius, the Monsters proceeded to tend to their injuries using whatever they had on hand. They had fully expected Ludo to yell and rant and scream at them for their failure like they always did, but something was different this time. Instead, he just looked at them all angrily and then sequestered himself inside his office without another word.

A few moments later, they heard the sounds of yelling and screaming and of furniture being destroyed coming from inside the office, making everyone shudder in fear. They had never heard Ludo being that angry before, but none dared to knock on the door and see how their boss was doing. They didn't even go anywhere near the door, they were so unnerved.

If they had, they might have noticed a strange figure quietly open the door and let themselves inside.

Ludo was practically foaming at the mouth in anger as he sat in his chair. It was bad enough that he was already losing to Comet and that stupid girl. But now he had gotten his ass kicked by his friends, and Comet had never even shown up!

"Who do those little brats think they are?" Ludo growled as he slammed his fist on his desk. "Those children have no idea who they're messing with. I'm the lord of House Avarius, the one who will unite all Monsters. I will make the Mewmans grovel at our feet where they belong. I AM GOING TO BE A KING!" Ludo slammed his fist into his desk once more but then felt all of the fire go out of him as he sunk back into his chair.

"Some King. I can't even steal that stupid Wand from that stupid Prince," he lamented to himself.

"But you are the only one who is trying."

Ludo shot up out of his seat. He looked around his darkened office in fear, wondering where that voice could have come from.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" Ludo shouted, doing his best to act tough when, in truth, he was quite scared. That was when he looked at the window and saw a new figure pouring some drinks into a pair of shot glasses. It was dark, so he couldn't quite make out who it was, though.

"My apologies. I was unsure when you would be done venting your frustrations," the figure said as he walked toward his desk. "West Mewnian Swamp Water? Or would you prefer to drink directly from the bottle?" The figure asked as he held out one of the glasses. Ludo wasn't sure, but he swore that one of the fingers on this intruder's hand was missing.

"Who are you? And how did you get in here?" Ludo demanded to know as he took the glass out of the figure's hands and then carefully set it aside.

"I simply let myself in. As for who I am, that is not as important as who you are." The shadowed figure said.

"You know who I am?" Ludo inquired.

"Indeed, Ludo. I've been watching you for some time now. How you've been trying to recruit Monsters to join your ranks. Your commitment to restoring our people to their rightful place in Mewni. And most importantly, how you're willing to do what no other Monster is brave enough to attempt. You're trying to seize the Royal Wand of the Dragonfly Family."

"Yes. I am," Ludo darkly said. "But have you seen what I've got to work with here? We can't even beat a teenager and his stupid friends, for corn's sake!" Ludo then pouted. "It's not me, is it? It has to be their fault for not being good enough, right?"

The figure chuckled. "Indeed. Your methods are sound, but it is the tools that you have at your disposal that have held you back. Your followers are formidable, but they are lacking one key thing to succeed."

"And that would be?"

"Knowledge. Knowledge of how to fight the Dragonflies, hurt them, and lay them low for all the universe to see." The figure then leaned forward a little and placed both his hands on Ludo's desk, revealing them to be a dark grey in appearance. "I can give you that knowledge. I can help you take the Wand. And together, we will finally restore this land to its rightful masters."

Ludo narrowed his eyes and got up from his chair. "When can we start?"

"We just did. I shall see myself to my quarters if you need me." The figure then turned around and began to make for the door.

"Hold on," Ludo said, making the figure stop. "I didn't quite catch your name."

The figure turned around and began to step forward again. As he did so, one of the moons that hung over Mewni began to peek out from behind the clouds, slowly bathing the darkened room in the moonlight. "Throughout my life, I have gone by many names, many different titles," the figure said as the moonlight finally revealed his appearance. He was tall, dressed in an impeccable business suit. He had jet black hair that was neatly combed backward and dark, concrete gray skin. But his most distinguishing features were the long tail that lay behind him, seemingly limp but ready to spring to life like a snake. And his face was reptilian in nature, with several fangs poking up from the top of his mouth.

"But you, my good sir, can call me...Toffee."

*In Jay's Workspace, Kermit suddenly does a spit-take as he's watching all of this, spewing tea all over the floor and nearly getting some on everyone in range*

Kermit: What the fuck? Is that Toffee? Did you just drop Toffee into the story, Jay?!

*RJ "Jay" Writing Ink is just standing nearby, his arms crossed with a smug as hell look on his face. He's also traded in his hoodie for a black t-shirt that reads "Death Battle" and thug-life style sunglasses

Jay: Yep.

Janna: Well, it's about time you brought out the big guns! I've been waiting for months for the Lizard to show up! So, is his plan going to be the same as in the show, or do you got something more sinister in mind?

Omni: Now, now, Janna. Let's not force Jay to spoil anything just yet. Even if we all want to know what he's got planned.

Jay: Well, let me put it this way: it's going to be big, it's going to be loud, and it's hopefully going to make what the show did look like child's play in comparison.

Janna: Sounds like you've set some pretty high standards for yourself. Hope you're up for the challenge.

Jay: So do I, Janna, so do I.

Janna: Speaking of which, nice job on my handsome twin's demonstration of Alchemy. He wasted Ludo and his friends!

Jay: I know, right? And he's still just learning! Can you imagine how tough he'll be once he masters Alchemy? I'm tempted to have him and Comet fight to see who's strongest!

Kermit: Aw, yeah, that sounds amazing! It'll be like our own Death Battle!

Omni: Oh, that reminds me: did you guys know that Star Butterfly is going to be fighting Steven Universe in the next episode of DEATH BATTLE?

Kermit: Holy shit, no cap?

Jay: No cap, Kermit. This Memorial Day, the popular web series DEATH BATTLE will be pitting the Crystal Gem vs. the Princess of Mewni in a fight to the death! You can watch it on their YouTube Channel at 1 PM EST or, if you have a FIRST membership, you can watch it a day earlier on the RoosterTeeth website. Now, I don't want to pick sides in this because I love both characters but-

Janna: You think that Star's sheer magical might will be enough to overpower Steven, don't you?

Jay: It could happen, Janna Banana. And even if she loses, the fact that DEATH BATTLE ends up trending on YouTube will be great exposure for both shows. Which will encourage Cartoon Network and Disney to do more with them in the future. Hopefully.

Kermit: Well, I know what I'm doing this Memorial Day.

Jay: Same here, man. I can't wait. But in the meantime, it's time for me to respond to

READER'S REVIEWS

NightAroma-First, I trust that you are now satisfied with the introduction of Toffee. Second, I came up with Comet going to the Moon because I thought it would be hilarious. Third, Brittney's character arc is going to continue over what is essentially this story's version of the first and second seasons. And finally, don't be so jealous about the Stan Lee autograph. I never met him in person due to my ticket being lost or stolen. I bought something for him to sign after the fact, but it's not the same thing. I should've snuck in like my gut told me!

FungusDungus000-I thought of making Comet's Moon Trip it's own separate chapter, but then I decided that it would be more hilarious to leave it up to everyone's imaginations.

Julayla-Sgt. O's is coming soon, but not yet.

Guest 1-Aqua's supposed to remind you of Starfire from the Teen Titans. I even have Hynden Walch as her headcanon voice.

LockAndKey989-Aqua and Tammy could end up meeting in the future, but let's not worry about the shipping just yet.

The Wandering Hippie-You just narrowly avoided missing out on the reviews, dude. And yes, Marcia's tirade was meant to have that middle line feeling. On the one hand, we know it's justified because of Marcia's past experiences that she's kept bottled up for years. On the other hand, we also know that it's uncalled for because Brittney is genuinely trying to change. It's supposed to give you mixed feelings.

Also, Jonah wasn't meant to seem detached in this scenario. He would've gone either way, but because he doesn't see Ludo as much of a threat to begin with, he thought that Marcia and Aqua would be able to escape without his help. Also, I'm pretty sure Marcia would have been the one angriest with him if he didn't help her out of this mess. He may not admit it, but even he can be a little scared of Marcia when she's beyond pissed.

You know what to do: fave and follow this story, and follow me on Twitter (JZ-Gaming), Insta (RJ Writing Ink), and YouTube (Jungoguy)

Now then, I'm going to go enjoy Memorial Day Weekend and then stan Steven Universe and Star vs. on Twitter for DEATH BATTLE! Oh, and the next chapter will be the start of a Karla-centric arc in the story. Karla's getting focus, people!
