Chapter XIX: Reunions

Tucker

"So far so good," I said hanging on to the lattice work. I only had little more to climb to reach Fester's room. "I hope Gomez was...," I felt something hit my chest causing me to lose my grip. Before I could fall something wrapped around my waist. I see the lattice work wrapped around like vines. "Thank goodness," I said as I heard Vlad laughing.

"You will wish that I let you fall," he said appearing in front of me. I try to break free but the tendrils are too strong. I tell him that I am not scared of him or his freaky powers. He smirks at me and clenches his fist. I feel the coils tightening around me. I am fighting the urge not to struggle knowing it will only make them tighter.

"You know...Danny will...," I say they tendrils wrap around my neck. Vlad smirks when something knocks him from the air. I look down and see Lurch staring at Vlad. "Go get him Lurch!" I shout as he goes to attack but vanishes from sight. "I hate when he does that!"

Pugsley Addams

"I think they are in here," Mr. Fenton says as he knocks down the door. "Okay feather dusters, give us the cup and I won't turn you into chicken fingers." They look at each other and shoot beams from their eyes. Before they hit us I deflect them using the halberd.

The beam hits one of the birds and disappears the other two glare at me. "Take us to the Grail!" I demand as they look at me laugh. "What's so funny grandpa?" The birds look at me and growl. "Did I strike a nerve."

"It's best you don't know!" the leader says as he tries to grab me but I duck out of the way. "hold still!" he snarls as Mr. Fenton slices off wing. "You'll pay for that!" he snarls as the wing grows back. He looks dumbfounded. A glowing chain forms in its talons and wraps him in them. "Back down or the fool gets it."

"Don't worry about me, find the chalice and sa...," energy courses through him. The birds laugh saying it's too late for Jazz. "You will all pay for...," more energy pours into him.

"Well what...," the leader begins to until a beam hits him. "Who did that?" he demands to know as Thing comes forward with one of the ghost weapons. They try to go after them but Thing is faster than the bozo. "Don't let him...," he blasts them again causing another to disappear.

"If you want to live you'll take us to the Grail," I tell him as he releases Mr. F and flies away. "Are you okay?" I ask helping him up. He says a bit winded but fine.

Danny

"I will never get used to that," I said as arrived back at Townsend. Mrs. Addams says it gets better after fifty times. "Good I only need...," Something hits me in the chest. "What the Hell?!" I look up and see Vlad standing in front of me.

"Are you finally going to face us head on?!" Sam asks as Vlad smirked proudly. He says like any good chess master he knows the head on approach is never wise. However he will make an exception this time. She goes to attack but Plasmius grabs her leg and slams her against the ground. She takes out an ecto-pistol and aims between the elder ghost's eyes.

"You are a slow learner," he blocks her blast and counters with one of his own. "I could do this all day," he says with a bored look on his face. She charges but Vlad teleports out of the way. "I wish I had to time play."

"Then let's get serious Fruit Loop," I tell him as I blast him but he disappears. "Such a...," I feel the cold heat of his ecto-energy hit me sending my flying into a headstone. "Damn it Vlad!" I spit charging up a ghost stinger but he neutralizes it.

"Haven't you learned anything form our spats?" he touches the ground. I ask him what is that going to do. "Look at your feet," I look down and see I am sinking. Sam races over to me but Vlad stamps his foot. A massive hand made of rock grabs and holds her tight. "Now, dear Morticia, what are you going to do to?"

"Get in the mansion," I call out as my knees disappear into the quicksand. She looks at me and Sam. Vlad told us she could either save us or chase him. "Forget about us," I urge her as I am up to my waist now. Vlad glares at me about to clench his fist when something hits him in the side.

"Lurch, thank Lucifer you're here," Morticia smiles as the butler comes wielding a spear. "You think you could give our new friends a hand," He nods as he grabs holds out the spear to me. I grab on and am pulled out of the trap.

"You oaf, you really think you're a match for me?" Vlad taunts as he clenches his fist. The hand holds Sam tighter and tighter. She squirms to escape but can't move. Vlad goes to attack but Lurch grabs him and throws him into a statue knocking him out.

The stone hand crumbles to dust and Sam falls to the ground. "I'm fine just a bit winded." she says as I catch her. "We need to stop Vlad," she points to unconscious man one the ground. Morticia looks up and at the sky and smiles. "What is it?"

"Jupiter and Mars are aligning with Draco," the skull's eyes light up at her words. He asks if she know what to do "Of course," she turns Vlad as he starts come to. "Relinquo!" The skull's eyes light and shoot beams at Vlad. He cries out as his dark magic is being torn from his body.

"It's nice to be bonded to you again 'Tish," Reznor says. "You two have to get inside. Your family and friends need you," he says as sneak into the mansion.

Wednesday Addams

"I still can't believe he got out. No one has ever broke free," Mrs. Fenton looks at me strangely asking if I had done this before. "Not me, but there is the tale of the assassin who tried to kill Ramses II. He was mummified alive like Vlad. Maybe we should have thrown him into a pit as well." I tell her as I hear foo steps coming.

"I've got this," she aims her weapon as Danny walks in. "Danny!" she drops her weapon and rushes over to embrace him. He looks a little worried. "it's okay, I know it all. I am sorry for how I treated you. I let my anger blind me to the truth."

"This went much better than I expected," he says as she lets him go. I tell him that Vlad escaped from us. "He tried to kill me and Sam. Luckily Mrs. Addams and Lurch were there to help to us." Mrs. Fenton says things will be different now. "Right now our friends need us."

"Tell us what to do," Danny says we need to help Tucker. "Your geeky friend," I ask as he smiles and says technogeek but I get points for being close. He says he's working on something in Fester's room. "I heard him climb up the wall. Follow me," I say as we race upstairs and to help him.

Jack Fenton

"What's wrong?" Pugsley asks as I look at the mini Fenton Finder's screen. I tell him that I lost them. "How can that be?" he asks confused. I don't know if this a glitch in the device or the ghosts gave up and left. "They couldn't have gone far. Maybe we can split up and cover more ground."

"Pugsley Eliphas Addams, I thought you remembered about your six times great uncle and aunt. They went searching for treasure in a cave. They decided to split up and were never seen again," A voice says as Morticia and Sam enter the room.

"How did you get here so fast?" I ask Morticia as she smiles. She tells me as a witch she can teleport anywhere. "I'll have to create a ghost gadget that can do that." She tells there is no time, Jazz is on the verge of life and death and need the Grail. "Those birdbrains took it before we could...,"

"Those weren't Vlad's vultures. They're copies," Sam explains. I have seen ghost duplicate before. "This wasn't ghost powers but black magic but we have the ball, or skull as it were, in our court." Morticia steps forward carrying a skull in her hands. "Mr. Fenton, may I introduce Reznor the Damned. He was excommunicated thirteen times by Pope John II in AD 534."

"Wow what did you do to tick him off?" I ask him as he says he could spend 10 eternities listing his sins. He tells me he can find the birds and get the Grail. "They could be miles from here by now." I tell them as Reznor says they didn't get far.

"They would stay close to the source of the magic," Morticia says as she close her eyes. "I see them now. Follow me," she says as we race behind her hoping we're not too late.

Uncle Fester

"Wouldn't you rather stay here. I can make you comfortable," the lamia says wrapping her coils around me. "It is too late for the others." I pull her off me and tell her to continue down the hall. "You're no fun," she says slithering down the hallway.

"it's odd, we haven't hit any...," the snake creature places a hand on the ground. She takes her coils and yanks me close to her. I was going ask what she was doing when cannon sprung from the wall and fired a green energy beam at us. "How did you know it was there?" she says she could sense the heat from the device. "How far are we to an exit?"

"There should be one coming up. It's lined with traps though," the lamia says. I search through my pockets for something that could help us. I take out an old parchment. "Well damn my soul, great grandma's map." I unroll it and think about this castle. The image changes to a map of Vlad's castle. The lamia is right. There is a booby trap up ahead. "Forget this quest Fester. Come with me," she tries to hypnotize me but I am immune to her charms. I take out the medallion and order to go ahead of me. "You can't use that," I press it against her skin. She cries out in pain and shrinks to the floor.

"Go!" I tell her as she slithers away.
