Marinette was in the bakery with her mother. They finished with Zach's order and handed him his macarons.
"Here you go, Zach" said Marinette
"Thanks Marinette" said Zach
"You know, it's always nice seeing you here Zach" said Marinette
"It's always nice being here, it's the best bakery in France" said Zach
"Come on Zach, that's not true" said Marinette
"It's true, I've been all around France, I've been to many bakeries, this one tops them all" said Zach
"Aw, thanks" said Sabine, who was behind Marinette
"No problem, I'll tell you the worst bakery in France, it was this small one in Lyons, it was gluten free, dairy free and customer free" said Zach
Marinette and Sabine laughed.
"Marinette, mind helping me in here" said Tom, from the kitchen
"No problem, dad" said Marinette
"Need some help?" asked Zach
"Oh, Zach, we couldn't possibly ask you to do that" said Sabine
"I don't mind, I'm in no hurry" said Zach
"But don't you have to get to the shoot for that movie you were in?" asked Marinette
"Nah, the director caught a bad stomach bug so shoot's off for today" said Zach
Zach walked into the kitchen with Marinette. Tom asked them to help with putting away some ingredients, when Zach accidentally knocked over a pot of custard from the stove.
"I am so sorry" said Zach
"It's okay, Zach" said Tom
"Yeah, don't worry, I can make more" said Marinette
Zach helped clean up the mess.
"Marinette, how do you do it?" asked Zach
"Do what?" asked Marinette
"Everything, you have your designs, school, you help with your parents bakery and you help your friends when they need you, it's true what they say, you really are our everyday Ladybug" said Zach
"Uh, thanks, Zach" said Marinette
Zach heard his phone beeping and checked his messages.
"It's my dad, he's getting worried about me, I gotta get home" said Zach
"Okay, see you" said Marinette
Zach walked off and headed home as Tikki came out of hiding.
"He's right, Marinette, I've known plenty of Ladybug's in my time, but none of them are as kind hearted as you" said Tikki
"Aw, thanks, Tikki" said Marinette
==Hawkmoth's Lair==
"I sense a strong emotion, a perfect target for my akumas"
A white butterfly flew into Hawkmoth's hand, he covered it with his other hand as it was engulfed in a dark energy, turning it black and purple.
==Meanwhile==
Zach was on his way home with his macarons, when he noticed some screams coming from nearby.
"Sounds like trouble"
Zach hid in an alleyway and let Howll out of hiding.
"Howll! Full Moon Rise!"
The citizens ran in fear from the akumatized villain as Nightwolf entered the scene. The villain looked like some kind of insect covered in sharp spikes. He was wearing a chain necklace, which Nightwolf guessed was probably where the Akuma was.
"This looks bad" said Nightwolf
==Meanwhile==
Adrien was in his room, he had a free day today so he decided to kick back and relax, until he saw the news report on the fight with Nightwolf and the akuma.
"Oh man, I was hoping for a lazy day" said Plagg
"That's gonna have to wait, Plagg! Claw's Out!" said Adrien
Once transformed, Cat Noir jumped out the window and ran across the rooftops.
"CAT NOIR!"
Ladybug swung up and ran alongside the black clad hero.
"Lovely to see you, Bugaboo, know anything on the akuma?"
"About as much as you would, I'm guessing"
"So nothing"
"Yeah, let's hope Nightwolf can hold it off until we get there"
Soon, the heroes arrived at the scene of the fight, Nightwolf had been able to lure the villain away to a nearby construction site.
"So, you're Ladybug and Cat Noir"
"And who might you be?" asked Cat Noir
"The name's Bad Bug, and I've got plenty of spikes with your names on them" said the akuma
The akuma fired a barrage of spikes, which the heroes were able to dodge.
"I think we get your point" said Cat Noir
"Do not fail me, Bad Bug!" said Hawkmoth
Ladybug charged at the akuma, the two engaged in a fist fight, until the akuma turned his hand into a large spike and jabbed Ladybug in the collarbone. The others tried to charge, but Bad Bug disappeared in an explosion of spikes.
"Great, he got away, if we don't beat him, we can't undo his damage" said Nightwolf
Ladybug clutched her chest, feeling a great deal of pain
"Bugaboo, are you alright?" asked Cat Noir, placing his hand on Ladybug's shoulder
"I've told you too many times to count, don't call me bugaboo, and I'm fine, you alley cat" said Ladybug, swatting away Cat Noir's hand
"Okay, well, any ideas what to do to find him?" asked Nightwolf, a bit put off by Ladybug's sudden attitude
"I don't know, just...wait until he shows up again" said Ladybug, sounding really agitated
With that, Ladybug pulled out her yo-yo and swung away. Nightwolf and Cat Noir stared at eachother in confusion.
==The Next Day==
Everyone was in class was sat in their seats. Adrien sat trying to figure out what was wrong with Ladybug after the fight. Miss Bustier entered.
"Good Morning class, oh, I see Marinette is late, again" said Miss Bustier
"And? What's your point?"
The class looked to the door and were in shock. Marinette was dressed in a red skull shirt, black jeans, a leather jacket and biker boots, her hair was out of her usual pigtails. Marinette took her seat next to Alya and leaned back in her chair, resting her feet on the desk.
"Marinette? Is that you?" asked Adrien
"Who were you expecting, blondie?"
The class were rendered speechless, Marinette never dressed like this and she would never talk that way, especially to Adrien.
"Hey, you can't talk to Adrikins like that" said Chloe
"Oh, for god's sake, Chloe, why not do the world a favor and shut up" said Marinette
Chloe was shocked at Marinette's attitude, but she didn't fight back. The class got to work.
==Later==
After school, Marinette was in her room watching TV when Alya entered.
"Hey girl, you alright? You didn't seem like yourself today" said Alya
"Hey Alya, yeah, I'm fine, in fact, I've never felt better" said Marinette
"Um, okay" said Alya
"But..." said Tikki
"Not not, Tikki, I love this show" said Marinette
==Meanwhile==
Nightwolf was running along the rooftops, searching for Bad Bug. He found nothing so far, aside from a certain blonde haired hero in black.
"Guess great minds think alike" said Cat Noir
"You're looking for Bad Bug too, huh?"
"Yep, by the way, have you heard anything from Ladybug? She didn't seem like herself after the fight yesterday"
"No, I haven't, but, you're right, I've seen her get frustrated, but something seemed off"
"I know, I tried finding her during patrol last night, but she was nowhere to be seen"
The guys continued searching for Bad Bug, they tried to get in touch with Ladybug, but they got no answer.
"C'mon Ladybug, where are you?" asked Cat Noir
The guys' thoughts were interrupted when a spike hit the wall next to them, they looked to see Bad Bug across the rooftops.
==Marinette's Room==
Marinette kept watching the TV, ignoring Tikki trying to talk to her. The show got interrupted by a news report.
"We interrupt this show to bring you breaking news. Cat Noir and Nightwolf have found the akuma, Bad Bug and have engaged in a fight. Despite having the numbers advantage, the heroes are struggling against the villain. The question on everyone's mind is 'Where is Ladybug?'"
"Oh good, they found the villain" said Marinette, before leaning back in her chair
"Uh, Marinette, aren't you going to go help your teammates?" asked Alya
"Hm, nah, they're big boys, they can handle themselves" said Marinette
"But Marinette..." said Tikki
"Zip it, shortstack, you know what..." said Marinette
Marinette took off her earrings, causing Tikki to disappear. She put the earrings in a miraculous box and threw it on the table.
==Meanwhile==
Nightwolf and Cat Noir struggled to fight Bad Bug. Nightwolf went to strike with his gauntlet, only for Bad Bug to dodge and fire a spike that hit him in the shoulder. Cat Noir tried to swing his staff at him, but Bad Bug caught it and flipped him over, causing him to land on Nightwolf.
==Marinette's Room==
Alya watched the live news report of the fight on her phone.
"Oh my god, they're in serious trouble" said Alya
"Hah, they think they're so macho, maybe this'll teach them a little humility" said Marinette
"I can't believe you, your teammates, your friends, are getting destroyed and you're just sitting back and doing nothing"
"Well, if you're so bothered by it, maybe you should do something about it" said Marinette
"Fine...I will" said Alya
Alya grabbed the miraculous box from the table and went to leave, when Marinette stopped her.
"HEY! Those are MY earrings" said Marinette
Marinette charged and tackled Alya to the ground, she reached for the box when Alya kicked her away, the girls started to wrestle a bit until Alya pinned down Marinette when she noticed a black thing in Marinette's collarbone.
"Huh, what's this?" asked Alya
Alya grabbed the black thing and pulled it out, revealing a small spike. She immediately noticed Marinette calm down.
"Alya? What happened? WHAT AM I WEARING?" asked Marinette
"You had a spike in you, that must have been why you were acting weird" said Alya
"Well, thanks Alya, now, I gotta help my team" said Marinette
Marinette picked up the miraculous box and opened it to release Tikki.
"Oh, uh..." said Tikki, not knowing how to react
"It's okay Tikki, I'm back to normal, now, we need to help Cat Noir and Nightwolf" said Marinette
Tikki smiled.
"TIKKI! SPOTS ON!"
Marinette brushed her hair out of the way as Tikki flew into Marinette's earring. Both of Marinette's earrings turned red and 5 black spots donned the surface of the earrings.
Marinette covered her eyes before moving her hands away to affix her mask.
Marinette stretched out one arm as a bright pink light pasted Marinette's suit onto her.
Marinette's Yo-Yo materialized around Marinette's waist.
With a little dance and a high kick, Marinette posed as her transformation into Ladybug was complete.
==Meanwhile==
Cat Noir and Nightwolf were struggling against Bad Bug, they both got knocked down and Bad Bug was ready to finish them off. Bad Bug fired a barrage of spikes at the heroes, but when they stopped firing, not a single spike had hit them. Ladybug had jumped in and swung her yo-yo to deflect the spikes.
"Milady, you're here"
"I am, sorry I took so long" said Ladybug
"Better late than never" said Nightwolf
"Now, let's take out this akuma..."
"LUCKY CHARM!"
Ladybug flung her Yo-Yo high into the air. Energy shot out from the yo-yo before creating a trash can lid.
"A trash can lid?"
Ladybug looked around, noticing the trash can lid and Bad Bug's spikes.
"I have an idea, you guys get to the rooftops"
Cat Noir and Nightwolf did as instructed.
"Hey, don't you run from me!"
"More of a tactical retreat" said Ladybug
"Well, at least I'll be able to take you out"
Bad Bug fired his spikes at Ladybug, who blocked them with the trash can lid.
"NOW GUYS!" said Ladybug
Cat Noir and Nightwolf jumped down, Cat Noir kicked out Bad Bug's legs as Nightwolf jumped up and pulled off Bad Bug's necklace.
"You mind, my feline brother?" asked Nightwolf
"Not at all, Cataclysm!" said Cat Noir, before destroying the necklace, allowing the akuma to be released.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma" said Ladybug as she opened her yo-yo
"Time to de-evilize!"
Ladybug captured the purple akuma in her yo-yo.
"Gotcha!"
Ladybug released the akuma, now pruified into a white butterfly.
"Bye-bye, little butterfly" said Ladybug, before throwing the Lucky Charm into the air.
"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"
An explosion of pink energy dispersed into a swarm of ladybugs that flew around the area, repairing all the damage caused by Bad Bug, and reverting him back to normal.
"Pound it!" said the heroes as they fist bumped
==Later==
"I'm sorry for how I was acting, guys" said Ladybug
"It's alright, bugaboo, it wasn't your fault" said Cat Noir
"He's right, Ladybug, it was Bad Bug's influence, you shouldn't beat yourself up over it" said Nightwolf
"I'm glad you guys are forgiving, I just hope my other friends will be the same way" said Ladybug
"Ladybug, you're one of the nicest people we know, I'm sure they'll understand" said Nightwolf
"Thanks"
"Don't mention it"
The beeping indicated it was time to be going.
"I'll see you guys next time, bug out!" said Ladybug, as she swung away.
