![]() Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, and Naruto. Hi all. I'm Jerot, if you haven't noticed. I'm a Senior in High School, though I'm going off to college next year. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter as you can tell. However my interests cross over a variety of media; Naruto and Watchmen for the Comics/Manga department. Star Wars for the movies (and pretty much every big Sci-fi movie out there), House and Doctor Who for my T.V. fix (as well as everything on USA - I can't get enough of Psych). Interestingly enough, I'm not much of an English person. I'm big into Math and Science, but this year I took AP Government, and fell in love with Poly Sci. Though, I guess that my real reason for not liking English is the stunning cast of horrid teachers I've been forced to endure. I've gotten all flavors of epic fail teachers: Overly Strict, Waay too busy to answer questions, and even the rare Drug Addict maybe. Most of the time, I just sit in class, BS essays for AP testing and hope that we'll have a creative writing/science fiction literature unit. For the most part, I've been pretty disappointed. One can still hope. I'm putting this up on my profile just so readers know: I am an avid hater of bashing. I will go so far as to stop reading a fic if I feel the bashing is too heavy. The reason is that no one can do it - it just ruins writing. It creates a clear and unreadable dichotomy of the 'always right' main character, and the 'always wrong and hated' bashed character. I condone making characters unpleasant/evil, but at least make them complicated antagonists rather than bashing them. /rant I do support Harry/Ginny, but since that came true in the real book series, I look to Fanfics to fulfil my Harry/Hermione cravings. Unfortunately, I've only found a few that I actually like - most of the ones that go over top with the magic I find hard to enjoy. One fic for Harry/Ginny that I've really enjoyed is A True Slytherin. I can't wait for the final chapter - its probably my favorite story on the entire website (that I've read so far). As of 9/15/09 Bookwyrm Chapter 10: 2729 Words (About 55 Percent). Naruto, the Genius Ninja Chapter 3: 0 Words (About 0 percent) |
