Chapter 22-2: A Day of Chaos Part 2

Hey guys, Maxgundam here. I have something new for you all. W1ll3r made me an opening! I'm sorry I didn't post it in the last chapter, bud. It just slipped my mind. Without further ado, here is a special opening for Yugioh RWBY Chronicles!

Colors Flying High

Music Starts

Team RWBY is shown in solid colored silhouettes and besides them showed colored silhouettes of team JNPR. In front of the two teams was Elemental Neos and he raises his arm into the air, sending the two teams through space to earth.

Anna was working on her synchro deck until she looked up to the sky, seeing team RWBY's colors streak across. Zack was practicing posing with his Elemental Heroes deck until he saw JNPR's color across the sky. Ethan was training until he was called over by one of the Igknights. Anna gave a smile before rushing out, Zack grinned as he ran off, and Ethan smirked as he walked over.

Anna and Zack were running besides each other until they made a sudden stop, looking up as a large shadow started to cover them. There was a flag of the grimm army with the Liege standing in the middle as Shinrai, Hidou, and Siren stood at the side in front of him. They all loomed over them as towering forces with their army behind them.

Raise your fist to the sky

A large mass of grimm rushed at the two, covering them until the two activated their duel disks. Above them the eight lights of the two teams speed towards the two duelists just as the grimm got above them.Colors fly
Tell us who to love and who to hate

When the teams crashed down, a burst of multi-colored lights dispersed the grimm to dust. Now standing tall together, Ann with RWBY and Zack with JNPR, all faced forward towards the grimm army. All with a smile across their facesAnd by the by
Will the memories of our morals fade

Ethan bursts through another mass of grimm from behind the enemies, smirking as the Igknights are by his side. They are in their signature pose as they are revealed before aiming their weapons forward with the two teams.

Liege growled in anger before raising his arms, summoning another hoard of grimm to the three duelists. The Grimm Ops rush forward with their own duel disks, leading the hoard against the teens.

So choose your colors to live by
Your goal, your faith, your virtue

The eyes of Ethan, Zack, and Anna appeared in that order side by side before they too ran forwards to meet the grimm. Refusing to back down and with the look of absolute determination on their faces. Unwavering conviction in their eyes.Give it all
Be the best cause nothing less will do

Ruby flew next to Ann with a confidant smile, with the rest of RWBY coming by with their own smiles. Ann looked to the side, seeing Zack with a wild grin and JNPR next to him with confident faces and ready to fight. Ethan only smirked with a nod as his Igknights charged alongside him to the battle ahead. Ann once again looked forward, no fear as behind her a faded image of what looks to be an adult version of herself smirking at her before fading away.

Team RWBY cut down the hoard of grimm in spectacular fashion and incredible skill. Yang punching a few away before shotgunning towards another one, Blake slashing the back of one before using her semblance to backflip one behind her and cutting it down, Weiss using Dust to make ice spears and launching them through several grimm, and Ruby slashing through the heads of many grimm around her

Jaune blocked an incoming attack before cutting the grimm down, Nora used her hammer to launch one grimm into another, Pyrrha stabbed one down before throwing her shield at another one, and Ren firing at the grimm while dodging their attacks.

The Igknights were essentially an endless firing squad, shooting down any grimm before they could even get the chance to close. When a few even manage to get close enough they are easily taken care of by the blades of their gun swords.

Ann, Zack, and Ethan pointed forwards together towards the enemy. All at once they all attacked in sync, a massive light burst out covering everything. The music plays as the light fades, showing the three duelists together watching the night sky. They all stared up to the shining stars with their friends in duel spirit forms right besides them and looking towards the sky. All of them have a smile as flashes of their adventures come into their minds. It all ends with Anna pointing towards the stars with an open hand, reaching for the future she wants.

(Start of Chapter)

Previously, on RWBY Chronicles, Zack and JNPR went to talk with River and his Grimm compatriots to learn more about him. However, they received more than they bargained for, as they were thrusted into one of his missions, where he was tasked to take out an Archfiend King. Due to certain circumstances, River technically coerced Zack to duel against the Terrorking.

While River was dueling Gao, Zack and JNPR found themselves within a runic barrier, trap with a demon king. Team JNPR also reverted to their miniature soul states.

"You accepted that man's request so willingly. Either you're confident in yourself, or a fool." Terrorking said.

"Hmmm. Maybe I'm both! We're all fools in some regard." Zack said, chuckling to himself.

"Fool it is. Let us begin."

"DUEL!"

Turn 1: Terrorking
Zackery Aegis: 4000LP vs Terrorking: 4000LP
Zackery Aegis Hand: 5 vs Terrorking Hand: 5

"The first move is mine. I'll start by playing the spell card Soul Absorption. Now whenever a card is removed from the game, I gain 500 life-points." Terrorking said.

"And let me guess. You're going to play Pot of Desires, aren't you?" Zack asked.

"How observant of you. I'm doing just that." Terrorking said.

Ten cards from Terrorking's deck were then removed from play, as the soul absorption gave him 5000 life points.

Terrorking: 4000LP + 500x10 = 9000LP

"Buddy. If you think I'm going to be intimidated by that move, you got another thing coming. Some other so called nightmare dude tried to do the same thing, and I knocked all those life points to zero. I can do same here." Zack said smiling.

"I see. However, my intention is not to keep these life-points. For you see, I have the spell card Dimension Fusion!" Terrorking said.

"Oh no. That's bad news." Zack said, looking worried.

"For you, maybe. At a cost of 2000 life points, both players are now allowed to summon as many of their banished monsters they want. However, you don't have any, while I on other hand have ten banished cards, and some of them are monsters. Now I shall summon a horde of five fiends!"

"Five fiends this early in the game!?" Jaune shouted.

"I'm going to have nightmares when we get back." Pyrrha said, with hints of fear.

[Spell: Normal]

Terrorking: 9000LP – 2000LP = 7000LP

A blue portal then appeared above Terrorking's field as fiends began to pour out of it.

"First, Archfiend Lancer!"

The fiend that appeared was wearing purple armor, and field had two sharp lances for arms.

"Now Archfiend Giant!"

The next fiend was enormous, towering over the entire field. It had blue skin, and blue wings, wearing grey armor.

"Myself, Terrorking Archfiend, in attack position!" Terrorking himself then walked up to the field.

The next fiend to appear was that of female, with a skeletal body over exposed purple muscles, and red hair. It wasn't big as giant, but it was still giant.

"And finally, Annihilator Archfiend, in defense mode!"

The final monster appeared was the most demonic of the bunch. A grey skinned demon, with a scorpion tail and black wings. It wielded a red scepter in his hand.

All five demons roared with frenzy, and stared at their next prey: JNPR and Zack.

"Next I'll discard Archfiend General to add the field spell Pandemonium to my hand, and I'll immediately play it."

The field began to shift as the room took on an orange hue, with skeletal bones of dragons and demons emerging, and a small red orange lava pool.

"This place is bad to the bone. Hehe." Zack said.

"Zack. Not now, please." Pyrrha said politely.

"I'll shall set two cards face-down and end my turn." Terrorking said.

Turn 2: Zackery Aegis

"Now this something you don't experience in Remnant." Ren said.

"Grimm are one thing. But five hulking demons of death is another." Pyrrha said.

Jaune was scared as well, but took a deep breath. "Stay calm, guys. They may be demons, but they still follow Duel-Monster logic. They aren't invincible, which means we can beat them. Right, Zack?" Jaune asked.

"Right you are, Jaune. Now let's see how we can topple these guys." Zack said drawing his card. "First I'll play Graceful Charity. Simple procedure of draw three, ditch two."

"Next, I think I'll summon Striker Hunter HERO – Zet in attack mode!" Zack declared, as Zet appeared on his field in his combat armor

"Next I'll play this! Mage Power! Now for every magic or trap card on my field, Zet will gain 500 attack points. I'll set two cards face-down, and move to battle phase. Now I'll have Zet take out your Annihilator Archfiend! By the way, whenever Zet attacks an opposing monster, he gains 800 attack points!" Zack yelled.

"Best to go for the big ones. They might have the more dangerous effects." Ren said to himself.

Mage Power
[Spell: Equip]

Striker Hunter HERO – Zet: 1800ATK + 500ATK + 500ATK + 500ATK + 800ATK = 4100ATK

Zet got in a starting-running position, and then proceeded to sprint towards the Annihilator. His armor also began to glow, as he began to run even faster toward his target. He then jumped into the air and delivered a downward punch, destroying the fiend.

"One down, four to go. I'll end my turn here."

Turn 3: Terrorking
River Sticks: 4000LP vs Terrorking: 7000LP
River Sticks Hand 2: vs Terrorking Hand: 1+1

"And I'll start mine." Terrorking said as he drew his card.

"First, during my Standby phase, since I have Pandemonium on the field, Imprisoned Archfiend Queen lets me target one level 4 or Fiend-type monster on my field and raises it's attack points by 1000. I target Lancer Archfiend!" Terrorking yelled. Archfiend Queen then had a purple aura glowed around her, and the Lancer Archfiend then powered up.

Lancer Archfiend: 1600ATK + 1000ATK = 2600ATK

"Next, I play my face-down. Call of Archfiend. Now once per turn, I can target a level five or higher fiend type monster in my graveyard, and by discarding another fiend type monster from my hand to the graveyard, I can summon the targeted fiend in the grave. So, I discard Archfiend Empress from my hand, to resurrect Annihilator Archfiend in attack mode!" Terrorking shouted.

Call of Archfiend showed a gigantic monstrous looking fiend grabbing another terrified fiend. Annihilator then arose from the ground and shook the field itself.

"Oh, come on! We just cobbler the dude!" Nora shouted.

"And allow him to repay said cobbering. I activate his effect. Once per turn, I can target one card on my field, and one other card on field and destroy them both! I target my Giant Archfiend to destroy your Striker Hunter HERO – Zet! Annihilation wave!" Terrorking shouted.

Annihilator then raised its staff into the air as it then struck down Archfiend Giant and absorbed its energy. It then fired a purple laser at Zet causing to immediately be destroyed.

"Since my Archfiend was destroyed by a card effect, Pandemonium's effect now activates! I can now add an Archfiend from my deck to my hand, as long as it has a lower level than the destroyed fiend. I select level 5, Mist Archfiend from my deck. But he won't stay there for long, because since my Giant was destroyed by a card effect, I can special summon him from my hand." Terrorking yelled. A mist then began to fill the room as the Archfiend then appeared from it

"Finally, Annihilator gains half the attack points of the destroyed fiend monster, meaning he gains 1200 attack points!"

"Now for an onslaught! Annihilator! Attack him directly!"

Annihilator then raised his staff and prepared to fire a beam of chaotic energy to Zack.

"I activate my face-down! Pinpoint Guard! Whenever you declare an attack, this card lets me revive a level 4 or below monster from my graveyard in defense mode! I'll summon Elemental HERO Woodsman from my graveyard, who I discarded last turn!" Zack yelled.

Pinpoint Guard

Woodsman then appeared from a black portal, and took on a defense stance, putting himself between the fiends and Zack.

"You think you can hide behind your monster and be safe?" Terrorking asked.

"Yes I do. Pinpoint Guard prevents him from being destroyed after all." Zack said.

"Well, you'll be changing your mind when I play this. Reveal face-down! Final Attack Orders!"

"Ah nuts!" Zack said, sounding worried.

"What does that card do, Zack?" Nora asked.

"It, well, switches every monster on the field to attack mode and keeps them in attack mode. Including good old Mr. Woodsman." Zack said, while Woodsman swapped to attack mode.

"Oooooohh. That's pretty bad." Nora said, grimacing.

"Your monster may survive, but you lack the life-points to do the same. Let's continue on with the attack." Terrorking said, pointing menacingly at Zack.

Annihilator laser of death then continued to make his way to Zack. It wouldn't end the duel immediately, but the follow up attack will.

"Arrgh. I didn't want to have to use this so early, but I got no choice. I play my face-down, Ego-Boost! This will cushion some of the damage I take, by giving Woodsman 1000 extra attack points!"

Ego Boost
[Spell: Quick-Play]

Elemental Hero Woodsman: 1000ATK + 1000ATK = 2000ATK

Woodsman then crossed his arms as he took the laser attack head-on, withstanding the attack. The laser then spilt off of his body, and then landed where Zack was standing, damaging him, causing him to stagger back.

Zackery Aegis: 4000LP – 1200LP = 2800LP

Terrorking growled, knowing he won't be able to finish Zack on this turn. "Very well. If you wish die slowly, BE MY GUEST! Queen, Lancer, General! Attack Elemental Hero Woodsman!"

The three fiends let out horrifying roars, as they slashed, pierced, and clawed Woodsman with their strongest attacks. The Hero remained standing, as he took the full force of the attack. Zack felt three sharp feelings of pain across his body with each attack, as he was then force onto one knee.

Zackery Aegis: 2800LP – 700LP – 600LP – 400LP = 1100LP

"If you're smart, you'll stand down. I'll set one card face-down and I'll end my turn here." Terrorking said.

Turn 4: Zackery Aegis
Zackery Aegis: 1100LP vs Terrorking: 7000LP
Zackery Aegis Hand: 2+1 vs Terrorking Hand: 0

"Are you doing alright, Zack? That was quite the beating you took." Pyrrha said, asking out of concern.

"Not so good, if I'm being honest. Those last couple of attacks hit me so hard…it made me remembered that I skipped lunch today." Zack said.

Pyrrha only sighed. "Clearly you're doing just fine. But seriously, are you okay?"

"Kind of. It bit sore, but nothing to cry over." Zack said, as he slowly stood up.

"You got a plan? Five Fiends are a bit much to contend with." Ren said.

"Don't worry, guys." Zack then made a stupid grin on his face. "They won't be, FI-END, of me! Gah ha ha ha ha ah." Zack continued to laugh for a while.

He then looked at JNPR's deadpanned stares at him, showing they were not amused. "Guys. I know what you're thinking. However, it doesn't matter if you don't think my jokes are funny. What truly matters, is that I think my jokes are funny. And if I think they're funny, I say it, and I laugh. He he he he he. Fi-end of me. The-end of me." Zack continued to giggle at his joke.

"You know, the only saving grace from Yang's puns is that you can shoot her down since she actually thinks she's funny." Jaune said.

"With Zack on the other hand, he understands that not everyone shares his sense of humor…" Ren said.

"…meaning we can't really fight back if his main goal is to laugh at his own jokes." Nora finished.

"Zackery. We would appreciate it, if you would start your turn now, please. The fiends are starting to look restless." Pyrrha said.

After Zack finished laughing and brushed the dirt off his clothes, he put on a confident smile, staring down his enemies. "Alright. Here goes something!" he said, while drawing his card.

"I activate Elemental Hero Woodsman's effect. During my standby-phase, I can add a Polymerization card from my deck, or graveyard to my hand." Zack looked at the cards in his hand and smiled. "Let's test out the all-new team JNPR! I'll start it off by summoning JNPR Soul – Pyrrha Nikos!"

Pyrrha immediately jumped from the backlines to the field, and drew her weapons. Even in the face of five fiends and in her soul form, she still maintained her steadfast courage.

Polymerization

JNPR Soul – Pyrrha Nikos

[ATK: 1500] [DEF: 900]

"Pyrrha's new soul form has a couple of new tricks. When summoned, I can add one level 4 or lower HERO or JNPR-Soul card from my deck to my hand! I'll add JNPR Soul – Jaune Arc to my hand! Next, I'll play Polymerization! Summoning JNPR is now easier! I only need a HERO and the right soul to summon the fusion counterpart, so I fuse Elemental HERO Woodsman with JNPR Soul – Pyrrha Nikos!" Zack yelled.

Pyrrha and Woodsman then jumped into the sky as they crossed each other, and then entered a swirling vortex.

"Invinciblity! Strength! Beauty! Behold the Hero who's maxed out on all three! I Fusion summon, Skilled Hunter HERO Pyrrha Nikos!"

Pyrrha then emerged from the swirl of light, and landed on the ground, reading herself for combat.

"I activate Jaune's ability! When I successfully fusion summon a Hero monster, I can summon him from my hand!" Zack yelled. Jaune then jumped to the field and drew Crocea Mors, in both sword and shield.

JNPR Soul – Jaune Arc
[LV: 3] [Attribute: Light]
[Warrior/Effect]
[ATK: 1300] [DEF: 500]

"Next, Jaune's effect activates! When he's summoned to my field, I can add one Polymerization or a card that has fusion in its name from my deck to my hand. In addition, if I control a fusion monster, I can summon a HERO from my hand or graveyard in defense mode with its effects negated. I'll add Fusion Substitute from my deck to my hand, and summon Striker Hunter HERO Zet back in defense mode.

"These new effects are really something. Maybe RWBY will get revamped like us." Jaune said.

"Hmm. If you ask me, team RWBY are pretty strong as they are, since they focus on Synchro plays. Being honest, our cards were a bit lacking. I mean, my soul form only searched you, and that's a bit mediocre if you ask me." Pyrrha said.

Jaune merely nodded, as he then returned his focus onto the battle.

"I now activate Fusion Substitute! Remember, Zack. Use only cards on the field for the summon. I fuse, Striker Hunter HERO Zet with JNPR Soul – Jaune Arc!"

Jaune and Zet had their backs next to each other, as they began to spin faster and faster, until they were enveloped in a white vortex.

"Courageous heart and brilliant mind! I Fusion Summon Tactician Hunter HERO Jaune Arc!"

Jaune then appeared from the swirl and landed next to Pyrrha. However, he put his right hand to his mouth and gagged a bit.

"Uh…Jaune. You okay, buddy?" Zack asked.

"Y-yeah. Give me a moment…ugh." Jaune said, with his voice sounding strained.

"…You need a doggy bag?"

"N-no. No. I'm fine. *gulp*. "Aaaah. Okay. Much better. Continue with the turn." Jaune said, gasping for breath, while Pyrrha patted him on the back to make sure he was really okay.

"Alright then. Okay, back then, the JNPR-Soul Jaune would give him a 300-point bonus for the turn, and Pyrrha's would return a spell or trap back to the hand. However, they don't do that anymore. However, Jaune has a new effect. As long as he's face-up on my field, al Fusion HERO monsters I control gain 500 attack and defense points." Zack said.

Jaune then raised his sword into the air, as both he and Pyrrha began to glow with an aura, as their strength of increased.

Tactician Hunter HERO Jaune Arc: 2300ATK + 500ATK = 2800ATK

Skilled Hunter HERO Pyrrha Nikos: 2600ATK + 500ATK = 3100ATK

"Now, time to battle! Jaune attack Annihilator Archfiend!" Zack yelled. Jaune nodded, and began sprinting towards the gigantic fiend.

"Fool! I play a face-down!" Terrorking shouted. However, nothing happened. "Huh!? What's going on here!?" he then looked up to see Pyrrha holding her hand up in the air, towards his field.

"Pyrrha has a new skill. Whenever a HERO fusion monster attacks, you can activate any spell or trap effects until the end of the damage step" Zack explained.

Terrorking growled with spite. "Nice trick. However, your puny knight…"

"…is going to do an old David and Goliath scenario. Did I mention that he reverts a monster's attack strength back to its original value and then gains those attack points for that battle? Hmmm. I don't think I ever did until now." Zack interrupted.

Annihilator Archfiend: 3200ATK – 1200ATK = 2000ATK

Tactician Hunter HERO Jaune Arc: 2800ATK + 600ATK = 3400ATK

Terrorking had a shocked look up his face, as he turned his head towards the battle. Annihilator slammed down his scorpion tail towards Jaune, but he immediately rolled out of the way. Seeing that the tail was now stuck in the ground, he then jumped onto it and began running up the demon's tail. The demon then raised his hand, in attempt to smash Jaune on his own body. He brought his hand down, as it landed straight on Jaune. However, the demon felt a sharp pain in his hand. He raised his hand to see that Jaune had blocked most of the blow with shield and held his sword in a way that it would pierce his palm.

As the fiend threw his hand in the air in pain, Jaune then used his feet to push off of the demon's palm and dove straight down towards his chest. Grabbing the handle of his sword with both hands, in a reverse grip, Jaune plunged the sword into the Demon's chest, as he slid down his body, creating a wide cut on his chest. he then jumped off, and fell back towards the ground…only to accidently face-plant into the ground. Annihilator then reeled back in pain as he then exploded.

"Ow. I really need work on that landing strategy." Jaune said to himself, as he stood back up and walked back to Zack's side of the field.

Meanwhile, Nora and Ren had their jaws hanging from what they saw.

"You think Jaune can put demon slayer on his resume in the future?" Nora asked.

"Nora. We have to remember that this is still technically a card game. It's important to understand the boundaries between reality and fantasy. It was still pretty cool though." Ren said.

"But he could do it in the future for real if he tried." Nora said.

Terrorking: 7000LP – 1400LP = 5600LP

"You're up next, Pyrrha. Take down his Archfiend Lancer!" Zack yelled.

"On it!"

Pyrrha then charged towards the Lancer Archfiend, as it did the same. The two clashed weapons, but Pyrrha used her semblance, discreetly, preventing Lancer's attacks from hitting. She then used a piercing thrust to stab the Lancer, destroying it.

Terrorking: 5600LP – 1500LP = 4100LP

"Pyrrha effect now activates! When she destroys an opponent's monster in battle, she can send one spell or trap card back to the bottom of your deck. I choose your Pandemonium field spell!" Zack shouted.

Terrorking's duel disk then lit up, as the Pandemonium field spell was immediately ejected, reverting the room to it's former state.

"Now we're back on track! I'll set one card face-down and end my turn!"

Turn 5: Terrorking

"Don't forget! Since your field spell is gone, you got pay life points due to your Queen and own effect!" Zack shouted.

"I don't mind. I'll play this first! Pot of Greed for two more cards." Terrorking then smirked.

"Excellent. Now I shall show you true terror!"

"Trust me, bud. Whatever it is, it can't be any worse than my mom." Zack said.

"Zack. Aren't you suppose to talk about the opponent's mother for the joke to work?" Nora asked.

"Oh no. My mom when angered is the true definition of Terror. Not what this guy is about to summon."

"You might want to rethink your opinion boy! I sacrifice Imprisoned Queen Archfiend and myself to summon a new monster!" Terrorking shouted. At that instant, Terrorking and the Queen vanished from the field as a dark fog began to fill the room.

Terroking's voice then echoed from the room. "Behold, my true form! ARCHFIEND EMPEROR, THE FIRST LORD OF HORROR!"

The from the black fog, a gigantic demon then appeared from behind Terrorking's field. It was a light purple colored fiend, with bone like armor, and with skulls adorned on its body with red eyes, and had a multitude of horns. It also wielded a blood-colored claymore with purple spikes. It sat on a gigantic stone throne, and towered over the field.

Jaune and Pyrrha stepped back after seeing the enormous monstrosity, but raised their weapons regardless. Zack on the other hand stared at the monster, judging whether or not if it was scarier than his mother. It was close match in his mind. "Not bad. But not good enough."

Terrorking, now known as Lord of Horror laughed evilly. "If you think the sight of me is unpleasant, then you might as well rip out your eyes, because it only gets worse for you! I activate Call of Archfiend! I discard Kahkki, Guerilla of Dark World, to summon my Archfiend Empress back from my graveyard!"

A black portal then appeared on the field, as a female fiend rose from it. She had purple skin, and wore a white dress, with skull like armor on her body. She also wore a shaman-like bone headdress, and had long purple hair. In her right hand, she held a double-bladed staff. The Empress chuckled sinisterly, hoping she would be able to kill something.

While the appearance of the empress made Pyrrha worried. She felt a cold chill from behind, and then a sudden sharp feeling of pain. She turned her head around to see a large grotesque grey demon, whose face was also on its body, who had just plunged a dagger into her back. "H-how?" Pyrrha asked.

"One more thing. When Kahkki is discarded to the graveyard by a card effect, I can target one monster on your field and destroy it. Say farewell to Pyrrha!" Lord of Horror yelled, as both Kahkki and Pyrrha then immediately shattered.

"PYRRHA!" the rest of JNPR yelled.

"Oh, don't worry. She won't be going to the grave alone! Her little blonde friend will be accompanying her! I activate my effect! By banishing an Archfiend from my graveyard, I can target one card on the field and destroy it! I banish Terrorking Archfiend from my graveyard to destroy your little knight! Unending Horror!"

Lord of Horror then stabbed the ground with his sword. A black fog then crept up to where Jaune was standing, as ghastly arms began grabbing him as he was slowly dragged into the mist.

"GET OFF OF ME! I SAID GET OFF! A-AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Jaune screamed, and sounded like a girl. He then sunk into the foggy void, as disappeared.

"Hah! He screamed just like a little girl! Ah hah hah hah! Also, since a card was banished, I gain 500 life points due to my Soul Absorption!" Lord of Horror laughed in amusement.

"Hey! The only people allowed to make fun of Jaune is us!" Zack yelled.

"Yeah, that's right! And that's just how he screams! It's his natural scream of fear!" Nora shouted.

"While I'm in agreement with you two, I don't think we're doing a successful job of defending Jaune." Ren said.

Zack, Nora and Ren. Then stared down their opponent, as he prepared to strike. "Now! It's your turn to scream! Pain or fear, it matters not! I attack you directly!" Lord of Horror then raised his sword, and swung it downward.

"I activate my face-down! Negate Attack! This card cancels out your attack and ends the battle phase!" Zack yelled.

A swirling vortex then appeared in front of Zack and blocked the incoming attacking forcing Lord of Horror to call off his attack.

"Hmph. You only delay the inevitable. I shall end my turn here."

Zack looked at his empty field and the remaining card in his hand. "Okay, Zack. Use your head for once. I don't have much to work with. So, I either have to end it this turn, or mount a strong defense. However, I have to find a way around his face-down. Won't be able to do either if I just stand here thinking to myself."

Zack then closed his eyes, and slapped both of his cheeks to help himself focus. After taking a deep breath, he then drew his card.

"Huh. I can work with this." Zack said to himself smiling.

"Can you clinch it, Zack?" Ren asked.

"Not really. But it should change the flow of battle just enough to keep us going."

"Then hurry up and play it!" Nora shouted.

Zack only nodded and smiled confidently. "Since you control more monsters than me, I can summon this guy without tribute! Ride on! Hunter HERO Wheelie Breaker!"

Behind Zack, a blue portal then opened up, as the sound of motorcycle engine was then heard. Suddenly, a man wearing dark-blue and brown colored armored biker gear, with shouldered pads, and blue pants, with a red-scarf sticking out of his back pocket. Looking at his head, he wore a dark-blue helmet with a gold-visor, and two triangle shaped fins on the sides. He also two brown boots, and black gloves on his hands.

It was none other than Darius Might, riding on a motorcycle that was the same model as Yang's, but colored blue and black. Darius pulled back the accelerator, ready for battle.

"I activate Wheelie Breaker's effect! When I successfully summon him, I can add one Polymerization, a Fusion Spell-card, or a change quick-play spell, from my grave or deck! I add Mask Change to my hand!"

"Next I'll use Wheelie Breaker's second effect! Once per turn, I can change his attribute to any of the six attributes that I want! I change him from light attribute to water attribute! Then I'll play Mask Change, to transform him!" Zack shouted.

In Darius' hand, he held a silver buckle, and it had a slot to insert something into it. He then took out a card that had vapor's symbol on it and inserted it into the slot. The buckle then generated duel-monsters cards that circled his waisted, and connected to the other end of the buckle, forming a belt.

Darius then slowly raised his right hand into the air, with his index and middle finger pointed outward. With his left hand, he began turning the accelerator, revving up the engine. He then turned his hand forward.

"Mask Change!"

He then brought his hand down the level on the buckle.

TURN OVER!

The buckle then projected a holographic card in front of Darius, with Vapor's symbol. Darius then drove towards the projection and passed through it and upon exiting the projection, he had transformed into Masked HERO Vapor!

"Arrgh!" Terrorking scowled.

Vapor then drove towards the Empress, while she in turned began firing magical blasts of energy towards Vapor. The hero then dodged all of the incoming attacks as he then swung his staff, knocking the Empress off her feet. He then turned his bike around and stopped. He then pulled out his staff, and opened up one of the ends revealing multiple cards inserted in slots. He then took out three cards and swiped them on a scanner.

The three cards then generated three holographic images, and imbued Vapor with power. Near his feet, a poisonous smog was seen building up power. Vapor then jumped into the air, launching himself towards the empress. Without giving her time to react, Vapor landed a cross leg kick, causing the Empress to fly back onto the ground exploded.

"Since my Empress was destroyed, you triggered her effect! When destroyed and sent to the graveyard, I can summon a level 6 or higher Fiend type monster. Return, Annihilator Archfiend!" Lord of Horror shouted, as fiend returned towering over the field.

"And that will be all! Turn over!" Zack said, as he posed dramatically.

"You're a stubborn body, I'll give you that! But stubbornness will only get you so far! Draw!" Lord of Horror yelled.

Due to his enlarged size, he no longer had a duel disk, but instead, his hand materialized as large cards in front of him.

"I play Gracefully Charity to draw three then to discard two. However, the two monsters that I'm discarding, are two Broww, Huntsman of Dark World. When this monster is discarded by card effect, I can draw one card from my deck. Since I discarded two, that's two extra cards." Lord of Horror said, as two cards materialized in front of him.

"Huh. An evil fiend Huntsman. Now that's something an evil witch would make back in Remnant to fight humanity." Nora said to herself.

"Does Remnant even have an evil witch?" Ren asked.

"Who knows? Maybe there's a very, very, angry witch lady who lives in a big black castle, surrounded in a red wasteland home to many angry grimm, and she sits in her throne room, plotting to destroy Remnant from within. Like a slow acting poison, Remnant doesn't notice that it's slowly dying until the symptoms begin to show." Nora said, with a stern tone.

"W-where do you come up with this stuff?" Ren asked.

"Eh. My mind just wanders off to wherever it wants to go. If something random comes to my head, I'll just blurt it out." Nora said, smiling.

"Hey! It's the same with me!" Zack chimed in, as both he and Nora began laughing joyfully.

"Can we focus on not losing to the gigantic purple fiend first?" Ren asked.

Lord of Horror paid no mind to the side talk. "I play field spell! Archfiend Palabyrinth!"

The interior of the castle began to shift, as gray structures began to sprout from the ground as the area took on a ghastlier appearance.

"Unlike the last field spell, this one is more fitting for your current situation. As long as this card is in play, all fiend type monsters I control gain 500 attack points."

Archfiend Emperor, Lord of Horror: 3000ATK + 500ATK = 3500ATK

Mist Archfiend: 2400ATK + 500ATK = 2900TK

Annihilator Archfiend: 2000ATK + 500ATK = 2500ATK

"Then I'll activate Call of Archfiend! I discard another Archfiend General to summon my Archfiend Empress back from the grave! Since another Broww was discarded by an effect, I can draw one card from my deck!" Lord of Horror said, as the Empress returned.

Archfiend Empress: 2900ATK + 500ATK = 3400ATK

"Next I'll activate the effect of my field spell. First, I target one fiend type monster on my field, then I banish another. Afterwards, I can then summon a fiend monster from my deck with the exact same level as the monster I summoned. I banish Mist Archfiend to summon another Archfiend Empress! And since a monster was banished, I gain 500 life points as well!"

"Your Masked HERO Vapor may be immune to being destroyed by card effects, but one attack from myself or my empresses will be enough to end it! I myself will attack Masked HERO Vapor!" Lord of Horror yelled. He then brought up his sword and swung it down towards Vapor.

"I activate the effect of Hunter HERO Shade-Shift from my hand! I can discard him from my hand, and target one face-up HERO or Huntress monster on my field, and for the rest of this turn, that monster can't be destroyed by battle or card effects. Furthermore, if the targeted monster is an extra deck monster, and damage involving that monster is halved." Zack yelled.

The Huntsman that appeared was a that of an avian faunus, as he two wings on his back. He wore a black cloak, and wore a brown shirt and leather pants, with black boots. In his hand, he wielded a kama sickle for weaponry. He disappeared from everyone's sight, and then reappeared from Vapor's shadow. He then grabbed him by the waist, and teleported out of the way of the sword. The two empresses then performed follow attacks striking the moving shadow, but missed. Zack stilled received damage, but it wasn't much. He merely smiled and brushed the dirt off of his left shoulder. From his shadow, Vapor and Shade-shift reappeared.

"Thanks for the assist, Tricton." Darius said.

The hero known as Tricton merely nodded, and vanished.

Zackery Aegis: 1100LP – 150LP – 100LP – 100LP = 750LP

"So, you live another turn. I'll use the spell card Mystic-Wok. I'll sacrifice, my Annihilator Archfiend, to regain life points equal to his defense points. I'll then set one card face-down and my turn." Lord of Horror said, as his entire back row was filled up. Soul Absorption, Final Attack Orders, Call of Archfiend and two face-downs.

"So, how it looking, Zack?" Ren asked.

"Hmm. Well, he has three-fiend monsters, and two face-downs, that are clearly meant to counter us. Furthermore, his Archfiend Empresses allow his monsters to evade destruction, if only exactly one of them would be destroyed. Next turn, he'll destroy Vapor and pummel me into, well, whatever comes next after this place." Zack said.

"So, it's the usual impossibly hard to win situations?" Nora asked, smiling.

"Yep. And I wouldn't have any other way." Zack said.

"Sorry, Zack. But I don't share the same mentality, unless you have a plan of sorts." Ren said.

"Of course, I do! If we can't destroy them one by one, we'll just have to destroy them all at once!" Zack said.

"But if the Empresses are destroyed, he'll just summon two more fiends from his grave." Nora said.

"Then we'll just destroy those fiends." Zack said.

"So, your plan is to destroy all the current fiends that are out on the field at the same time, then destroyed the revived fiends, and somehow reduce his life points to zero this round?" Ren asked.

"Exactly!" Zack said.

"Well, if there's one man crazy enough to pull that off, it's you, Zack. Now do us proud!" Ren said.

"Yeah! Team JNPR-Z to the max!" Nora cheered.

"Hell yeah! Let's do this! I draw! And I play Pot of Greed to draw two new cards!" Zack yelled.

"Nice! I summon JNPR-Soul Lie Ren to my field in attack mode!" Zack yelled.

"I'll do my best." Ren said, as he stepped into the battle field.

"I activate Ren's effect when he's summoned! I can summon one HERO or JNPR Soul monster from my graveyard, as long as it has 2000 or less defense points, in defense mode! I'm bringing back Hunter HERO Wheelie Breaker in defense mode! Also, since I control a HERO fusion monster, this effect and the summoning can't be negated!" Zack yelled.

Ren then slammed his hand onto the ground and channeled his aura towards the grave. Darius then came riding out of the graveyard and took on a defense position on his bike.

"I activate Hunter HERO Wheelie Breaker's effect! I add Fusion Substitute from my graveyard to my hand, and I'll immediately activate it! I fuse JNPR Soul – Lie Ren with Hunter HERO Wheelie Breaker!" Zack yelled.

Ren then jumped into the air and landed on the back of Darius' bike, as they sped off towards a swirling light and entered it.

"Behold the Huntsman of fantastic technique! Don't blink, or else you'll miss it! I fusion summon, Lotus Hunter HERO Lie Ren, in attack mode!" Zack chanted.

Ren then stood on the field in his true form as he drew his storm flower and aimed it at the demons. "For destroying Pyrrha and Jaune in such a ruthless manner, no quarter shall be given."

"Since I used Wheelie Breaker as fusion material, Ren gains 800 attack and defense points! That's not all, because since I fusion summoned, I can special summon JNPR Soul – Nora Valkyrie from my hand!"

"There's can only be room for one lord here! And there are three too many kings and queens! THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!" Nora shouted. She then jumped out and smashed the ground with her hammer.

"I activate Nora's effect! When I summon her, I can change the battle positions of one monster on your field, so I switch your Lord of Horror to defense mode. In addition, since I control a HERO fusion monster, I can draw one card from my deck!"

The shock waves generated by Nora's previous hammer strike shook the ground, forcing the Lord of Horror to a defensive position, which was his normal sitting position.

"Next I banish Fusion Substitute from my graveyard and return Jaune to my extra deck to draw one more card!" Zack said.

"Don't forget! Soul Absorption's effect activates when either players' card is banished, so I gain 500 life points!" Lord of Horror said.

Lord of Horror: 6000LP + 500LP = 6500LP

Zack didn't mind as he continued on with turn. "Next I activate the second effect of Shade-Shift from my graveyard! As long it isn't the turn he was sent to the graveyard, I can banish him from my graveyard along with another card on my field, either to use as Synchro Material for a Huntress synchro monster, or as fusion material for a HERO monster without the use of Polymerization! So, I banish both Shade-shift and Nora to fusion summon!"

Lord of Horror: 6500LP + 1000LP = 7500LP

Shade-shift then appeared from Nora's shadows as he then used his wings to envelope the both of them in a spiral of darkness, leaving behind black feathers.

"Kings! Queens! Pancakes and Waffles! All will bow before her might! I Fusion Summon, Mighty Hunter HERO – Nora Valkyrie!" Zack chanted.

Nora then remerged from the black swirl and landed next to the heroes.

"Hmph. So, you've managed to summon slightly less weaker monsters. Even if they attack my monsters, my Empresses will protect them from destruction simply by banishing one dark fiend-type from my graveyard. And there are plenty of them, you cannot hope to defeat us!" Lord of Horror said.

"Maybe. However, I got a special little card in my hand." Zack said, chuckling to himself.

Lord of Horror was curious what card was in his hand, as he felt tiny amount of fear in his demon heart. Ren, and Nora also turned around, although Ren was unsure of what was going to happen, while Nora felt excited for some reason.

"I play the spell card, Give'em the HAMMER!" Zack shouted, playing the card.

"Give'em…" Ren said.

"…the Hammer?" Lord of Horror finished.

The Spell card showed a fully charged Nora, with pink lighting coming off of her blue eye. She had a wicked grin on her face, and was swinging her hammer with her full might.

"I can only use this card if I have Nora's fusion form on the field. It first raises her attack points by 1000. After that, she destroys every face-up monster on your side of the field with lower attack points. Then you take 400 points of damage for each monster destroyed!" Zack yelled, pointing dramatically.

"WHAT!?" Lord of Horror shouted

"AW YEAH!" Nora shouted.

"Nora has 3900 attack points in total. That means every monster on his field will be destroyed." Ren said.

"I won't let you! I play my face-down, Shrink! I this card targets Nora and cuts her down to size!" Lord of Horror said.

"Ah no worries. I have an effect that prevents me from being affected by spell and traps." Nora said, confidently.

"Actually, Nora, you don't have that effect anymore." Zack said, smiling sheepishly.

"WHAT!? You mean I going to shrink!?" Nora shouted, sounding worry.

"No. Because I have Ren's effect." Zack said.

"You mean the Blossom Burst?" Ren asked.

"You don't have that effect anymore."

"O-oh. H-how, unfortunate." Ren said, trying to hide his feelings of relief.

"You don't sound sad." Nora said.

"You see, thanks to Ren's effect, if I control two or more HERO fusion monsters, you can't target my fusion HEROES with card effects! Aura shroud!" Zack yelled.

Without any hesitation, Ren slammed his palm into the ground, as all the monsters on Zack's side of the field were discolored, as the Shrink card missed its mark.

"No!" Lord of Horror shouted.

Zack and Nora began to chuckle sinisterly. "Nora. If you would?" Zack asked.

"Oh, you don't need to ask twice." Nora said.

Mighty Hunter HERO Nora Valkyrie: 2900ATK + 1000ATK = 3900ATK

The spell card then shot out a bolt of lightning which then struck Nora empowering her. Nora then bended her legs and rushed towards her foes. She then spun her hammer around and reeled it back for a big impact. "FEEL THE WRATH OF THUNDER THIGHS!"

Nora then swung her hammer, charged with semblance's ability, striking all three archfiends with force sending them flying into the air, through the roof of the castle, as they exploded in mid-air.

"Going, going, going, GONE! That's a triple homerun for Nora, equating to 1200 points of damage." Zack said in baseball announcer voice.

Lord of Horror: 7500LP – 1200LP = 6300LP

Just then, two portals leading to the graveyard then opened up as the Lord of Horror and Archfiend Giant reemerged back to the field.

"Arrgh. Due to my Empresses, I can revive myself and Imprisoned Archfiend Queen from my graveyard!" Lord of Horror said.

Imprisoned Queen Archfiend: 2700ATK + 500ATK = 3200ATK

"No matter! Nora! Smash that Emperor into dust!" Zack yelled.

"You got it!"

Nora then morphed her weapon into its grenade launcher mode, and fired multiple grenade rounds, which then formed a pink heart shape and went flying towards the Lord of Horror.

"I play my face-down! Mirror Force! Now your…"

"Let me stop you right there, buddy. Nora's effect when she declares an attack prevents her from being destroyed by battle or card effects until the end of damage step. Also, Ren has another ability as well. Once per turn, if my HERO OR HEROES would be destroyed battle or card effect, I can negate the destruction. So, in short, Ren and Nora are staying put. Also Vapor safe, since he can't be destroyed by card effects. It's technically a three-layer protection!" Zack said holding up three fingers.

Mirror Force
[Trap: Normal]

Nora's grenades then pierced through the Mirror Force trap, causing it to react sending rays of light towards Zack's side of the field. Vapor and Ren then immediately used their abilities to shield themselves from the rays of destruction. Meanwhile, Lord of Horror could only watch in actual horror as the heart shaped grenades got closer towards him. Upon impact, the explosion was massive that it forced Lord of Horror to revert back to Terrorking, as he fell from the sky and rolled on the floor.

"Now for Nora other new ability. When she destroys an opposing monster in battle and sends it to the graveyard, you take damage equal to half of your destroyed monster's original attack strength, plus an additional 400 points for every other HERO on my field. Since I have two other HEROES, that's a grand total of….400 from the initial attack, 1500 from effect, plus 800, carry the one…2700 points of damage in total!" Zack said, after doing the math.

Terroking: 6300LP – 2700LP = 3600LP

Nora fired even more grenades from her weapon creating even more explosions, damaging the Terrorking who just stood up.

"Clever. However, my Queen has 3200 attack points! Only Vapor can attack her, which result in a draw. Ren doesn't have enough attack points to finish me off. You can't win!" Terrorking shouted.

"Are you sure about that?" Zack said.

"What?"

"I still have one card left my land. I play Quick-Play spell card Form Change! I return one HERO fusion monster on my field back to my deck to transform it into a Masked HERO with the same Level! I return Nora back to my extra deck, and transform her!" Zack yelled.

"No way!"

A small spinning vortex then appeared on Nora's waistline, and formed into a belt, with a vortex design. A standby noise echoed out through the room. For some reason, Nora knew what to do. She slowly extended left hand forward, in a vertical position! She cracked a smile fully prepared.

"MASK CHANGE! NORA STYLE!" she shouted.

She then used both hands to press the buttons on each side of the belt. A turbine like sound was heard, as Nora's figure was distorted by a swirling light. In Nora's place was a golden armor-clad figure, with sleek looking helmet and white outlines. Nora had transformed into Masked HERO Koga.

"This, feels, AMAZING! Ruby is going to be so jealous when she hears about this. Now's let's finish this." Nora said, admiring her transformed state.

Zack nodded. "Koga gains 500 attack points for every monster on my opponent's field, so that's 500 extra attack points! Next, I'll use Koga's effect! By banishing one HERO monster from my graveyard, I can reduce the attack any opposing monster by the banished HERO's attack points! I banish Skilled Hunter HERO – Pyrrha Nikos from my graveyard to lower your Archfiend Queen's attack points by 2600!"

"No!"

Koga/Nora channeled her new found strength and ray of energy from her palm. The energy then turned into a fiery spirit that resembled Pyrrha, and then struck the Queen Archfiend, weakening her.

Imprisoned Queen Archfiend: 3200ATK – 2600ATK = 600ATK

Masked HERO Koga: 2500ATK + 500ATK = 3000ATK

Terrorking: 3600LP + 500LP = 4100LP

"Nora! Take out Imprisoned Queen Archfiend!" Zack yelled.

Nora then held her hand over the transformation device, and pulled out her Magnhild. Her body once more became distorted in vortex of light. When the distortions disappeared, Koga reappeared wielding a modified Magnhild, making it look more mystical, and the chest armor was now colored pink. Using her enhanced power, she then leaped across the entire field and swung her hammer, striking the fiend. The Imprisoned queen was then sent flying across the field, until it crashed into the Runic Barrier. Sparks then appeared on her body, as she then screamed in pain and exploded!

Terrorking: 4100LP – 2400LP = 1700LP

Masked HERO Koga: 3000ATK – 500ATK = 2500ATK

"T-this can't be!" Terrorking said, shocked of what was happening.

"Oh, it be. Ren! Attack him directly and end this duel! Focused Strike!" Zack yelled.

Ren then closed his eyes and clenched his fists. In that instant, he lunged towards Terrorking, striking him in the abdomen with a single punch. Terrorking gasp for breath from the sudden pain he felt, and fell backwards as his life points hit zero.

The runic barrier that surrounded both duelists then began to disappeared, as Nora un-transformed, with Jaune and Pyrrha coming back, and JNPR were in their normal forms at the moment.

"Nora! That was awesome! You pulverized all those fiends like they were nothing! And then you transformed, Pyrrha attacked with her spirit. And then Ren punched the king into oblivion!" Jaune said, sounding excited.

"Yes. I was quite a spectacle. Also, does my back look okay, Nora?" Pyrrha asked.

Nora examined Pyrrha's back, making sure nothing was out of the ordinary. "Looks fine to me."

"Okay. I can still feel the knife. I think it will pass though." Pyrrha said.

"Well, I got to say. That was one of the most life thrilling duel I have had in my life." Zack said, stretching his arms.

"Like I said, Zack. Some of us have different tastes. I think you two did splendid with the opening attack. Now, what should we do with him." Ren said, gesturing towards Terrorking.

Everyone then saw the fiend getting on his knees, breathing heavily.

"Uh…should we be concerned?" Jaune asked.

"I think we should." Ren said, drawing his weapons.

Terrorking then looked up towards Zack and JNPR, feeling emotions of rage. "I…I REFUSE TO GO OUT LIKE THIS!"

Without warning, Terrorking's chest suddenly opened up, as it unleashed a swarm of demonic loci that flew towards Zack and JNPR giving no time to react. Before the loci could make reach the group, the two Cthulings, Ten and Eleven rolled in front of the group, and began shooting down the loci with a barrage of ink.

Terrorking was shocked, wondering what in the world was happening. He then felt a strange presence behind him. He immediately threw out his right fist, but was immediately blocked. He saw that it was River Sticks holding his fist with nothing but his left palm. When he looked up, he saw that his hair orange hair was glowing with orange aura, and his eyes lit up. He sensed something powerful radiating off of the man. A quite rage.

"Hey now. Nobody likes a sore loser." River said.

River then grabbed Terrorking by the arm, and tossed overhead, and slammed him onto the ground. Jackie then appeared in front of him, and pointed his sword at Terrorking, binding him with runes, to prevent him from moving or using any of his powers.

JNPR and Zack then regained their composure and were stunned with River's current look. River's hair then lost its glow, as he then pulled out his toupee and placed back on top of his head, covering his faunus ears. River then walked over to the group and smiled.

"You know, the four us managed to see the duel halfway through. Got to say kid, that really entertaining." River said.

"The four of you? Do you mean, those two?" Jaune asked.

Everyone then turned to see the two Cthulings playing rock-paper-scissors with helmets and toy-hammers.

"Yeah. They're with me, and they're weirdos. Not even I know how to handle them." River said.

"I think they're kind of cute. Although, even I'm not quite sure about them based on how they act." Nora said.

"They're random wild cards among us Spirit Grimm. In any case, thank you for subduing the Terrorking for us." Jackie said.

"It was nothing. Aside from the subconscious nightmares we might have tonight, it was our pleasure." Zack said.

"Rrrright. Anyways, let's get out here now. I think I left a pizza in the oven. You mind helping me carry the guy? He looks a bit heavy." River said.

"Oh, yeah sure. Should be no different than carrying a couch." Zack replied.

Just then, everyone heard chuckling. They all turned to the source to see the Terrorking was the one laughing.

"Uh…is there joke I'm not getting?" Jackie asked.

"I for one hope it's just a bad joke." Jaune said.

"Hehehehehe. Oh, you may have beaten me. But know that I'll bring you all with me to death!" Terrorking shouted.

Suddenly, the castle began to shake, as pieces of the castle began to fall. Everyone struggled to maintain footing, while avoiding falling debris.

"What did you just do?" River asked.

"Heh. You humans have the saying of 'the captain goes down with ship'. For us demons, 'the king goes down with the castle'. I choose death over imprisonment. Ahahha! Haha gahha" Terroking laughed.

The Cthulings saw how the place was coming down, and decide to leave. They then somehow faded out of existence, since Jackie was the currently spirit out at the moment, while the king continued to laugh.

"Ah, shut up!" Jackie yelled, kicking Terrorking in the head knocking him out. "River. We have to leave, now!"

"But we can't just leave him here! I won't get paid as much!" River exclaimed.

"How can you be concern money at a time like this! This castle is going to crush us!" Jackie yelled, as he sliced a rock that was about to land on him.

Meanwhile, River sidestepped to evade a falling sword from a statue. "For the record, whether I bring this stupid king back to the employer determines how much food I get in my fridge! I'm tired of eating microwaved meals!"

"I refuse to die with you because you wanted extra food in your fridge! We leave the demon king to die!"

"Well, I refuse to go hungry for a week! We're bringing him with us!"

"Leaving him!"

"Bringing him!"

"Leaving him!"

"Bringing him!"

"NORA!" Nora screamed interrupting the two of them.

"Waah!" they screamed.

"Look. I hate to interrupt a heated argument, but can we focus on leaving? I mean can't you just teleport us out of here?" Nora asked.

"Wish I could. But you can't teleport in the castle. Otherwise, I would've done that in the first place. It's like cellphone reception, but for teleporting." River said.

"River! Look, will com-promise! I'll help him carry the lame-king, but the moment that our lives are in immediate danger, which I believe they are by my standards, we ditch him! Deal!?" Jackie yelled.

"Deal! I got the arms; you get the legs." River said.

"Okay. You know on closer inspection; he's looks nasty to touch. It's just bones and muscles." Jackie said.

JNPR and Zack were more concerned for themselves as they struggled to make their way to the exit. Just then, they heard the sound of engines. It was faint, but it got louder by the moment. From the entrance, a Duel-Runner came racing into the room. The person had a female figure, wearing a thick-white riding suit, that had the appearance of a padded diving suit, and wore half-helmet. The person then flipped up their visor to reveal it was none other than, Elizabeth. Also, there appeared to be two side cars, on the runner, and Allister was sitting in one of them.

The sound of hoof steps was then heard, as two black horses came racing into the entrance, drawing in a demonic-chariot. Mounted on it was Lars, Alex and Yanagai.

"Hello! Need a lift?" Alex asked.

"Considered this repayment for rescuing us." Yanagi said.

Without saying anything, team JNPR and Zack immediately ran towards the chariot and runner. Zack immediately on the back of the motorbike, and held his arms around Elizabeth's waist, while Jaune went into the side car. Everyone else went to the chariot and tried to squeeze in.

"Wait. Where's River and Jackie?" Ren asked.

Everyone then turned their heads, to see River and Jackie tying the Terrorking up with sturdy rope, and attaching him to the chariot. "Good to go!" River said, holding his thumb up.

"I apologize for this. Also, don't worry about him getting all roughed up. He tried to kill us." Jackie said.

"You know. I just realized something." River said. He then held up a duel monsters card and swiped it in front of him as it disappeared. A black magic circle then passed through Jackie, as he was replaced with Clay. However, when he appeared, he was reading a book for mechanics. He then looked around and noticed the collapsing building.

"Again?" Clay asked.

"Again." River replied.

Clay only nodded, as he quickly transformed into his vehicle mode. His head also came off and transformed into its miniature form and entered the cockpit. River then climbed aboard the vehicle and held onto the tight to the grips.

He then noticed everyone's stunned looks as it was the first-time seeing Clay transform. "Well, aren't going to leave, or would you prefer be crushed by boulders?" he asked.

Without hesitation, Elizabeth then turned the throttle on her runner and sped off, while Lars snapped the reigns, causing the horses to gallop. Clay then activated the thrusters on the rocket-tank and sped off as well. The three vehicles sped off through the corridors of the collapsing castle, evading rubble at every turn. Elizabeth, struggled to balance the two side cards that were attached to her bike, but she managed to see the way forward. Allister was scouting out the way, with some binoculars, telling her in advance of where to drive. Lars, Yanagi and Alex however struggled a little as they crammed in with Pyrrha, Nora and Ren. To make up for this, the three huntsmen used their weapons to blast and debris out of the way, while, the others maintained the chariot on a steady path. River was doing his best to hold on tight the hull of the tank, while Clay from within steered away from any debris or broken parts of the path.

Eventually, they all saw a bright light at the end of the tunnel, and they all rode into the main hall, and saw different archfiends running away from towards the exit. Everyone simply ignored them, and crashed through the front doors. They then came out through the front gates and rode over the bridge. Suddenly, the bridge itself began to collapse from behind.

"Why does that always happen in scenarios like these?" Alex asked himself, as he looked at the crumbling bridge.

"LIZ! GO FASTER!" Allister shouted.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M DOING!?" Elizabeth shouted back.

"Watch your balance! Watch your balance!" Yanagi shouted.

"I'm trying, okay! Just stop pushing me!" Lars yelled.

"I'm sorry. It's a little cramped in here." Pyrrha said.

"Uh, guys! The road up ahead looks like it's collapsing!" Zack yelled.

True to his word, everyone looked up ahead to see the front of the bridge was falling apart, and behind them as well. As more of the bridge began to fall apart from both sides, Jaune tried looking ahead of the road trying to find an optimal location.

"Pyrrha, Nora! Remember the initiation!?" Jaune yelled. Both girls quickly nodded. "On my mark, do the exact same thing!"

Nora, Ren and Pyrrha immediately understood what Jaune was saying. The three then shuffled around on the chariot, and got into position. Pyrrha kneeled down with her shield raised above her, Nora steadied herself on the shield, while Ren helped Nora maintained balance, by holding her in place. He also, told how Pyrrha how to angle her shield, while looking at the collapsing road ahead.

"Steady…"

"What are you guys' planning?" Elizabeth asked.

"Let them, Liz. It's not like we have a better one." Allister said.

"…Steady…"

Zack only took out his phone, for the reasons of either leaving behind a recording of his final moments, or to record an epic moment.

"…NOW!" Jaune shouted.

Using her might and semblance, Pyrrha launched Nora into the air, but with an arching trajectory

"Ah-ha ha ha ha." Nora giggled, as she flew into the air while sitting on her hammer. As she began to go into a freefall, she positioned her body, and readied her hammer. At the right moment, she struck the front end of the bridge with all the strength she could mustered. By hitting the bridge at the right point, everyone at the far end was catapulted into the air. Some screamed in horror, while others held their breath. Clay was a heavier so, he began to fall first. River then quickly pulled out another card and swapped it in front of him. Clay then disappeared as the Plague Veil Crow, Doc, appeared in his place. Doc then spread his wings and then grabbed River and flew towards the ledge.

Elizabeth then repositioned her runner, to make sure it was aligned with the ground. She the managed to safe landed as her runner skidded across the ground. Meanwhile, the chariot landed on the ground less gracefully, causing Alex, Lars and Yanagi to tumbled out and rolled across the floor. Pyrrha and Ren managed to land on the ground, with their feet on the ground. Ren however looked exhausted from the experience, as he fell to the ground when his legs gave out.

Jaune then stepped out of the side card, as his legs wobbled. His cheeks then puffed up, as he quickly ran to the cliff side to…empty his stomach.

"You okay, Jaune?" Zack asked.

"…I'll be…fine." Jaune said weakly.

Pyrrha then looked around, for any sight of Nora. She then spotted her struggling to climb up the cliffside. Pyrrha immediately ran to the side, and helped her up.

"*phew* Thanks, Pyrrha. Now that was rush. I thought I wasn't going to make it there for a moment." Nora said, as she laid on her back.

"It's only thanks to you that we've managed to stay alive." Pyrrha said.

"Eh. No biggie. Hitting and breaking stuff is my strong point. If it helps my buds…I'll keep doing it." Nora said, taking deep breathes.

Pyrrha only smiled and patted Nora on the head. "And that's why we like you, Nora."

Jaune then came back after his, thing, and looked around the area. "Okay…I think everyone is here." He then turned to Elizabeth. "Thanks again for coming to get us. Even if River remembered to summon his, Rabbit-Tank, I don't think there would have been enough room on their for the five of us."

"Hey. You saved us from having guts extracted. Saving you guys from a self-destructing demon-castle was our way of returning the favor." Elizabeth said.

"Not to mention how tough it was to get those demon horses to cooperate with us. They nearly bit off Lars' head." Alex said.

"But they didn't, and that's what counts. Although it was a bit scary. It was still kind of fun to pull off a grand theft chariot." Lars said.

"Anyways, as much as I love to stay in this fiendish world, I think I've had my fair share of adventure for today. I think some of our friends at the Oasis Card Hangout area are getting worried of where we are." Yanagi said.

"Well, then. I suppose this is goodbye for now." Ren said.

"Yup. But I think we'll see each other again. Until we meet again. And in case we don't see you for a while, good afternoon, good evening and good night." Allister said.

"Is your life being recorded?" Zack asked, smiling.

"Aaaaaahhhhh. You got good taste in movies." Allister replied.

Everyone then said their farewells, as the five duelists then left the area, in search of a place to use the transportation gear and in a safe place as well. JNPR and Zack then all took a deep breath, and each took in a moment of silence, to appreciate being alive. Then all then turned their heads behind them, after hearing someone groaning in the background. They saw that the Terrorking was regaining consciousness.

"W-what? What's going…"

KAPOW!

In an instant, River delivered a strong punch to the Terrorking's head, knocking him out cold again. Jackie then walked up to him, with his arms crossed.

"See, Jack. Everything worked out perfectly. I'm alive, you're alive, they're alive and this guy is alive which means we get paid more. Everything turned out wonderfully." River said.

"…I hate you." Jackie said, grimacing.

"Same here, Jack." River replied smiling.

(Later)

Everyone had returned to Inferno's house, as there were multiple fiends in the area, some cheering for the group for taking down the king, while others booed at the king. River and Jackie then threw the unconscious Terrorking at Inferno's feet.

"You did it! You brought him back alive! I was worried for a moment that you would've left him to die when his castle started crumbling. The king goes down with the castle as they say here." Inferno said.

"It would have been nice if you told us that before." Ren said, crossing his arms.

"Sorry. It's technically common knowledge amongst us fiends that I forgot to mention it." Inferno said, scratching his head/skull.

"Are all your houses rigid to blow when you guys kick the bucket? I'm just curious." Zack asked.

"It depends on the demon. One fiend who got killed by a robber, had his house imploded from within by a miniature black-hole, taking down the robber with him. It was a beautiful sight." Inferno said.

"Isn't that a bit extreme?" Jaune asked.

"It's pretty common for us fiends. Anyways, thank you again, Mr. Sticks for subduing the King him back alive."

"Well, truth be told, I wanted that extra pay badly." River said.

"Ha ha ha ha! Motivated with desire like a true demon! I like, ya." Inferno said, slapping River on the back.

"Ow. T-thanks. But most of the credit goes to those guys over there. They actually did most of the heavy lifting." River said pointing to JNPR and Zack.

Inferno then marched towards the group and somehow stared at the group without any eyes. "You five defeated king?" he asked.

"Yep. We punched, kicked, and sliced him really good in the duel. And mostly whacked them into orbit." Zack said.

"Ah. So, that was the small twinkle we saw earlier. I wondered why it looked like two screaming Archfiend Empresses. Aside from that, on behalf of the fiends gather here today, we thank you!" he then turned to all the other fiends in the area. "Three demonic cheers for the humans! HIP-HIP…"

"RARRAARAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHH!"

"HIP-HIP…."

"AAARRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH!"

"HIP-HIP…"

"*insert lovecraftian horror scrreches*"

After the demonic screeching and roars, everyone then noticed that the Terrorking was coming to his senses.

"Well, well, well. Look who decided to wake up. You've been causing me and a whole lot of others. You can't blame us for having a little pent-up aggression." Inferno said. He would be smiling if he could. Other fiends began snickering and smiling devilishly at the Terrorking, as they also experience some annoyances because of him.

"We're going to enjoy this. Hehehehe."

JNPR and Zack couldn't help but feel scared of what these fiends were planning, while River and Jackie didn't seem to care, as River was mostly focused on his phone, with Jackie peering over his shoulder.

(Later)

"BOOO! YOU STINK!"

"GO PITS WHERE YOU CAME FROM!"

"EAT TOMATO!"

At the current moment, Terrorking was now in a medieval style pillory, and chained to a platform, that was sealing his powers. At the moment, there were multitude of demons throwing tomatoes at his face, insulting and booing him from every direction. Others went up to his face and drew doodles on his face with black markers. Meanwhile, JNPR and Zack only stared in amazement or confusion as they watched the spectacle.

"This is…unique." Jaune said.

"Do you think team RWBY will believe us when we get back?" Ren asked.

"Maybe. The spirit world sure is an interesting place." Pyrrha said.

Meanwhile, Nora and Zack were buying tomatoes from a nearby vendor, and began throwing tomatoes at Terrorking.

"Zackery, on plate! And he pitches!" Zack yelled. He then threw a tomato at Nora.

"Batter up!" Nora yelled, as she struck the tomato with her hammer. However, the strike was too strong, as it destroyed the tomato. Zack and Nora looked at the at each other and then at the puddle of tomato.

"Maybe we should just throw them next time." Zack said.

"Or we could just throw them all at once." Nora said.

"Good idea." Zack replied.

Meanwhile, River and Jackie were talking with Inferno at a nearby bench, eating some food. They were just normal hot-dogs.

"As you can see, we demons view death as a light and merciful punishment. So, instead killing, we focus on destroying one's pride. Or dealing other fates worst death, such as public humiliation." Inferno explained.

"I now see why he wanted to die in his castle. It's a lot more dignified than this." Jackie said.

"Mhmm. I think I've seen worst." River said.

"You think?" Jackie asked.

"My memory is not that reliable." River replied.

"That's to be expected from you." Jackie said.

"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that."

Inferno then threw the hot dog he was eating through his skeleton mouth, and stood up. After stretching for a bit, he took a deep breath and smiled, even though he couldn't. "Well. After a long stressful like this. There's only one thing to do. Celebrate!"

"You mean with a party?" River asked.

"Even better." He then walked forward, where his voice would be heard, and pulled out a megaphone.

"DEMON BATTLE ROYALE!"

All the fiends immediately stopped what they were doing as a demonic voice echoed through the area.

"BATTLE ROYALE MAGIC FIELD IN EFFECT. KILL TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT. MUHAHAHA."

In that instant, every demon let out fierce battle cries, pulled out their weapons and started fighting against each other. Blades clashed, magic was casted, and fists were raised. JNPR and Zack immediately ran for cover as they regrouped with River and Jackie who equally surprised of what was now happening.

Inferno then came up to them. "Demon Battle Royale is a very popular game we partake in once in a while. Helps release our urges to destroy stuff."

"So, you're just going to kill yourselves after all that has happened?" Pyrrha asked, sounding concerned. She then saw a stray arrow coming towards her and immediately ducked. "*phew* close one. I think that arrow was on fire."

"Don't worry about. We're not technically dead. It's just the magic of the field that makes me feel like you're dead, but not really dead. It's like limbo-death. You're dead but not dead at the same time. Make sense?" Inferno said.

Nora was struggling to understand it as smoke was seen coming off of her head.

"Don't think too hard about it, Nora. This is kind of stupid if you ask me." Ren said.

Inferno ignored the remark and turned to River. "Well, Mr. Sticks. Since our contract has now been fulfilled, you'll receive your payment from employer. I wish you all a wonderful da…"

Inferno didn't get the chance to finish his sentence, as he was struck by a flying disk, severing his skull from the base of his body. The monster responsible a green reptilian monster, wearing blue armor, riding on a mechanical blue motorcycle, known as the Diskblade Rider. The monster laughed manachically as it raced off to find his next victim.

"AW DANG IT! Blargh" Inferno said, as he limbo-died.

"So, is he dead, or is he not dead? I'm still confused on that part." Zack asked.

"Eh, I think he'll be fine. I think now's a good time leave. I don't whatever magic is in work applies to us here." River said.

"Best idea you had all day." Jackie said, as the two turned to leave.

JNPR and Zack couldn't help but watch at the unfolding chaos infront of them, as demons fought amongst each other, with bloodthirsty looks in their eyes, using their weapons, magic and their own unique bodies to slay their foes. It took a while, but they eventually managed to turn around and walked away from the carnage, although Nora had to get dragged away.

After making a safe way from the battle, the group then came across a cloaked figure that stood in their path. JNPR and Zack immediately raised their guard, drawing their weapons. River then moved past the group and approach the figure with a smile, while Jackie followed behind him with a stern expression.

"Job's finished, and the fiend is extremely happy. I get paid extra for that, right?" River asked.

"Hmph. Of course. Satisfactory results with satisfying rewards." The man said, pointing at River's pocket.

River then heard a ping sound and checked his phone, seeing that the payment transaction went through, and smirked. "Nice. Thank you."

"Just keep doing your job, Mr. Sticks. I have big plans for you." The figure then snapped his fingers as he then dissipated into light, leaving the area. A portal then showed up, two of them. The figure's voice then echoed through the area. "The portal on your left is for River, and the one on the right for the teenagers. Until we meet again." All was silent.

River and Zack then approached one another, and faced each other.

"Well, Z-man. I got to say, I'm glad you decided to tag along. You saved me from starvation." River said.

"You're welcome. Glad we could help you. You know, River. You're a pretty neat guy. So, does this mean we're friends now?" Zack asked.

"Hmm. I guess if you want to word it like that. Friends it is." River said. He then offered his hand to Zack, who immediately grabbed it and shook it, as the two men smiled at each other.

Jackie and JNPR also exchanged looks with each other. "Look. You don't have to trust me. The only thing I can offer is my word that I'm not enemy at the moment."

"We'll be honest. It's not easy to place our faith in you. There's a lot that we don't know about you." Ren said.

"I don't think it's safe to say that we trust you completely, but I feel like we understand you a bit better. Only time will tell how our fates will intertwine." Pyrrha said.

"Let us hope it is for the best. Although, seeing those two, I think our chances are looking okay at best." Jackie said, turning his head to River and Zack, who were exchanging contract information.

"Perhaps. For now, we'll leave it as acquaintances." Ren said.

"Agreed." Jackie replied.

Afterwards, everyone to their respective sides and looked at each other one last time.

"Goodbye, River. Next time we meet, let's have a nice duel ourselves, just for fun." Zack said.

River hummed to himself. "I'll think about that offer. But knowing my luck, we'll probably be meeting up sooner than we think."

"Come on, River. Let's hurry on home. You got a test to study for." Jackie said.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure." River said, not sounding enthusiastic about it.

"Thank you for taking the time to meet with us. We appreciate it." Pyrrha said.

"But next time, can we avoid meeting in a place like this. No offense to the locals, but I'm not exactly comfortable here." Jaune said.

"You were the ones who decided to tag along with my job. You all came here on your free will. He he he he." River laughed.

"Yeah. I guess you're right." Nora said, as she too began laughing.

Soon, everyone except Jackie, began laughing or chuckling for no apparently reason. After the laughing ended, River waved goodbye to the group and entered the portal, causing it to vanish.

"What a nice guy." Zack said.

"Let's hope it stays that way." Jaune said.

"I wouldn't worry about it. He isn't much of a, GRIM, guy. Gahahaahaaaah. Aaaahhh haaaaaa." Zack joked as he laughed. He then noticed the deadpanned stares he was getting from JNPR.

"Like I said. The only thing that matters, is that I think it's funny. Furthermore, the way we fought in the duel against the Terrorking, CHANGED, for the MMMWPH!"

Zack was then immediately gagged by Jaune's hand. "Alright, Mr. That's enough jokes out of you. Pyrrha, Ren, Nora. Help me out here please."

Pyrrha then grabbed Zack by the right arm. "It would be my pleasure." She said, smiling cynically with her eyes closed.

Ren then grabbed the left. "As if you even need to ask."

And Nora grabbed his by the legs. "I won't break them. Don't worry about it." she smiled gleefully.

Zack looked around seeing that JNPR had lifted him up into the air. He could breath, but he couldn't talk.

"And, MARCH!" Jaune commanded.

Team JNPR then marched in unity as they headed towards the portal, preventing Zack from saying any more jokes or puns. They then all entered the portal leaving the world of fiends, and headed home.

Epilogue

Thousands of fiends lay down on the ground defeated. Right now, two fiends faced each other. One was a woman wearing red armor, with white hair, and wielded a red whip. She is known as the Chaos Hunter. Facing her was a humanoid two headed lizard with rings, riding a demonic motorcycle. This was the Stygian Sergeants.

The sergeants rode into battle on his motorcycle, with the intent of running over the woman. Chaos Hunter positioned herself and readied her whip, not being phased by the double-headed lizard. The Stygian Sergeants let out a roar as they turned up the accelerator, speeding towards their opponent. He then lifted his bike into the air, in attempt to smash Chaos Hunter.

The female fiend only smirked. She then swung her whip, grabbing a hold of the monster's left wrist. Then using both hands, she used all of her strength to swing the lizard off of his bike and into the sky, sending him flying into the air and showed no signs of coming down. The Chaos Hunter stood in triumphant seeing she was one step closer to victory.

However, what she failed to realized that someone was sneaking up from behind her, while she was arrogant. A black handbag with a cross-bone design was raised in the air and struck Chaos Hunter behind on the head. Chaos Hunter stood still for a moment, but then immediately fell forward either somewhat dead or unconscious. Her attacker was none other than the Harlot, the Tour-guide of the underworld. She swung her bag in a victorious motion.

"And that's why I keep a demonic possessed brick in my purse." Harlot said, pulling out a red-brick that seemed to have a demonic aura radiating off of it.

ATTENTION. WE HAVE A WINNER. TOUR GUIDE FROM THE UNDERWORLD WINS!

"Oh yeah! I AM THE CHAMPION! FEAR ME!" Harlot yelled, as she circled her purse in the air.

DEMON BATTLE ROYALE OVER. COMMECING RESPAWN.

In that instant, all the fiends laying on the floor were now standing up, looking alive and well. Like Inferno said. They weren't exactly dead, but some kind of dead. Afterwards, all the fiends moved on with their lives as if nothing had happened. Some congratulated Harlot for her victory as well.

Author's Note

And Part two of chapter 22 is now over. I originally planned to stretch out the ending, but as I come to write stories, I tend to get burned out from typing for long periods of times, that I tend to get distracted. I guess if you make a chapter drag too long, readers will feel burnt out as well. Have you guys ever felt burnt out reading one of my longer chapters? Let me know, and I'll try to lessen how much I type per chapter, but no promises. I'm a bit random. I…I don't know what that has to do with me, typing chapters, but hey, the feedback helps. Anyways, I'm planning on working on my others stories right now, like Kamen Rider Sennen and Battle Spirits. I feel like those two stories need some love as well. Besides, I'm planning something special once I've written enough chapters for Kamen Rider Sennen.

Anyways, sorry I haven't been responding to replies lately. It's mostly because I'm lazy and a bit busy. But I just want to let you know I read your reviews and appreciate them.
