Unless some other time frame or AU is specifically mentioned in a chapter, then all of these take place either during the time Damon and Rose were actually together in canon OR in a no-werewolves/Rose-lives AU.
~ Shards of Sapphire ~
Rose is laying with her head in Damon's lap as the two of them idly watch TV. They're both paying more attention to the way he sifts his fingers through her hair than whatever drama is playing out on the TV screen.
"I miss the 90s," she says, apropos of nothing.
"Why? You miss neon everything and dressing in patterns that looked like they belonged on a bowling alley carpet?"
Rose laughs.
"Oh god no, the fashion is one thing I don't miss. I miss the music, and electronics with clear cases so you could see the circuits."
"Oh, yeah, those were cool," Damon says.
To which Rose retorts, "I don't miss the slang, either."
"I think I might still have a Gameboy around here somewhere that has the clear purple shell. I'll have to see if I can find it." He seems excited for a moment and then his expression falls. "Oh, right... I forgot. I broke it when I was mad at Stefan for erasing my Pokemon save file."
"Poor baby," Rose says (much less sarcastically than she could have), and pats his knee. She lets a few moments pass in silence, for Damon to mourn the memory of his really cool Gameboy and lost Pokemon save file, before saying, "Cartoons were better in the 90s too. That's when the really good Batman cartoon aired."
