Who's me?

Being a huge MerDer fan, I'm guessing they will be the main focus of my stories. I love Meredith, whatever stupid things she does on the show. I don't care that she's whiny. I don't even think she is (okay, maybe a little, coming to think about it). But it doesn't matter, just as long as she stays in my computer.

I suspect my postings here will be rather irregular, but don't give up on me if it takes a while between the updates.

The Sound of Hidden Words
Meredith and Derek live the hectic life that comes with having children. Accomodating their youngest daughter's needs of wheelchairs and walkers is second nature to them. But as she grows older, there's that nagging suspicion that she has delays also in other areas and they have to struggle to get an answer and the help that she needs. The story is about family life, sisterhood and the balancing act of raising a child with special needs. A ten chapter story where the first chapter is a prelude set three years before the rest, and the last chapter is in two parts, set a couple of years after the chapter before that.

Simple Girl Mode
Cristina reflects on how her childhood trauma has affected how she deals with the aftermath of the shootings. My first exploration of Cristina, but I've found her PTSD interesting and got this idea for it. Oneshot.

Destination: Vertical
A oneshot following the season 5 finale. Meredith is unaware of Izzie's crisis and Cristina is unaware of George's. I wanted to explore how it might look when they find out.

The Two Nuances of Grey
Meredith grew up without her dad. Lexie's was always there. How did their different childhoods look like and what did it mean for them growing up? In this fic I'll make on-the-spot shots from Meredith's and Lexie's childhoods at certain ages. For every shot of Meredith at a certain age, we'll get one from Lexie when she was the same age. I appreciate that it differs roughly seven or eight year between them, so the stories won't take place at the same year or time.

Standing in the Way of Control
My first piece. Set after the ferry arc and before Cristina and Burkes not-wedding, basically thought to replace episode 3.18. Ellis has died and Meredith has lived. Meredith gets a phone call from her mother's nursing home, asking her to pick up her mother's things. Doing so will cause a flood of memories for Meredith, including since long forgotten diary entries. It will be angst, but also hopefully some growth and a lot of speculating in Mer's childhood and youth, which I think is fascinating as it is constantly mentioned in the show, but never really explored.
