I've read one of the reviews of the MK/RWBY Two-Shot where a story of Jaune being the new Scorpion is involved. And this has given me an idea.

Hanzo Hasashi was no stranger to hate, even more so to anger, not since his mortality was brought back that gave him a new purpose in life.

He despised looking back from the past, a constant reminder of who he was and what he had done as a Spectre.

He absolutely hated Quan Chi, for haunting him in both life and death, even after killing him. He hated the pale Warlock with everything that he was. Every cell of his body. Every minion that he had controlled throughout the Netherrealm, and every innocent being that had died by his hand or through his deception.

A part of him made him skeptical on how he changed the Shirai Ryu from what it was, even after all the good it had made for Earthrealm, especially when he had made peace with the Lin Kuei. It made him change the very institution that is the life he had ever known, and that meant setting aside the past he found difficult leave behind. It was difficult to look straight into the eye whenever Kenshi Takahashi or his son Takeda accompanied him, a part of him fearing that they would meet the same fate as Harumi and Satoshi.

In time, he forged new bonds with the likes of Johnny Cage, Jackson Briggs, and found a daughter-like figure in Jacqui Briggs, the girl that Takeda planned to marry. His Chunin asked for his blessing to marry her, a request he gladly accepted, having seen Takeda as his own son as he could remember.

But another part of him, his new bond and friendship with Kuai Liang of the Lin Kuei had helped him move further from his past, just as he always longed for after being freed from Quan Chi's clutches. This was a life he would glady live in, but somehow, he knew that he couldn't, not with Earthrealm still under threat by the Netherrealm.

It was almost a duty of his, making sure that the mistakes of the past were erased from the face of the world, but it was deeper than that. For each opponent from the Cyber Lin Kuei or against the Netherrealm's minions, it was a part to his own past that he severed, another life saved from being enslaved by two of those factions .

The Lin Kuei, Special Forces, Shirai Ryu and the Shaolin, would aid Earthrealm under Raiden's command. Soon enough, they proved to be the a formidable force to be reckoned with at the eyes of the Netherrealm or Outworld.

But despite all their efforts, they had failed in their duty as Earthrealm's defenders, not since they had invaded.

Hanzo snapped out of his thoughts of his life and went back to his original train of thoughts. Namely, how much he was angry absolutely everything right about that moment

He was angry on the way on how he was killed by his own inability to fully move on from the past.

He was angry the way he couldn't even open his eyes for more than a second, just long enough to see where he was or at least see the figures who checked on him almost constantly.

And the last thought that clouded his mind was re-uniting with his late family, a part of him relieved that he could finally rejoin them after so many years.

To be at peace at last...

But unfortunately, fate had other plans for him.

For six months after suddenly regaining his conciousness, Hanzo felt both body and mind beinf invaded, finding himself sleeping more than he liked and being spoon fed by figures when he was conscious but couldn't make out with the blurry vision he had.

If he didn't know any better, he would have thought he was a baby, which was crazy in Takeda's words, so he did his best to convince himself that this was a strange dream reliving his younger years but as time passed by, the scenario of this being a dream was getting unlikely.

When his eyes snapped open once more upon realizing that he was no longer clothed, Saphron held her breath upon being held under his gaze.

He was trying to get an explanation on why someone was cleaning him without his permission, an oddly intelligent demand for a baby of five months to make with eye gestures alone.

Saphron pretended to ignore the creeping chill that settled down her spine as she realized that her five month old little brother was far more intelligent than he had any right being.

Besides the obvious irritation at being violated due to his own lack of control of his bodily functions, why did Jaune look like someone angry in his meal?

Jaune was... a rather peculiar child, Jonathan and Elena Arc came to learn quickly. By the age of three, he was capable of holding conversations and seemed to carry himself with experience that no child, no matter how well known the bloodline is, had any right to have.

For the first few years of his life, Jaune was silent and withdrawn, more so than any baby the Arc parents ever had until one day, he seemed to almost accept his situation and started attempting to get closer with his family.

But at the same time, Hanzo cursed the Elder Gods or whatever deity out there for giving him a fate that is not exactly worse than death. He was not angry to the fact that he had another life, but rather the implication that he was not destined to rest in peace anytime soon.

After the child started giving advice to Jonathan on how to maintain his blade and shield, Crocea Mors, the two parents of the child began to grow a bit more than weirded out by the strangely intelligent child.

By the age of five, he was walking the forest with two wooden swords that he carved from the trunks of felled trees, wielding one in each hand and having a back-up strapped to his waist. It wasn't long after he was armed that he proceeded to clear an entire pathway from the Arc stronghold to the nearest town, some fifteen miles out from the walled residence.

Joan wondered as to how their brother acted this way. At a young age, he was shown to have great potential in scaling buildings, jumping from one tree branch to another and had an instinct in hunting down wild prey, as if he was made for survival. One time, the family saw that Jaune was at the family villa's rooftop looking over the horizon like an eagle, where Elena Arc nearly fainted at seeing their child at the rooftop while the rest of his sisters were yelling at him to come down which he did without any injury.

Jaune seemed to take it as some sort of challenge and from that day on, he spent his time training with either his body or the use of his swords and meditading, always seated in a cross-legged position in the family gardens, feeling at peace when he was alone. Jonathan once joked that his son was a monk in a past life, which explains his mannerisms from time to time, while Saphron even suggested that he may have been something else that is even darker than usual

When asked on why Jaune was practicing hand-to-hand combat or martial arts, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he thought it was a good idea. And it suited him as a whole. Not seeing anything wrong about it, since this could be a unique turn for him, Jonathan encouraged his son in any endeavors the boy put his mind to.

By the age of ten, Jaune was different compared to other children. Rather than play with his siblings or mingle with others, Jaune opted to streghthen his body, and eventually forged his two blades but the type wasn't the broad or longsword that the Arc family used for generations, but a slightly curved blade with a thin but sharp edge. A katana and wakizashi to be exact.

It was a strange choice of weaponry in their standards. If Jonathan had to be honest, it was one of the most skillfully crafted weapons he had ever seen and blades like these were often rare as they are often forged by expert swordsmiths in far away lands.

But there is another type of weaponry at Jaune's arsenal that puzzled and amazed them the most: a well crafted dagger with a long chain attached to it on his forearm, that was called a 'kunai', in Jaune's words.

They had no clue at how would he be able to wield such a weapon until they saw it for themselves, where Jaune utilized both the dagger and the chain to slice off a training dummy's head, and later launching the rope dart at another one's head, before brutally severing it from its body when Jaune retracted the harpoon back to his forearm, now holding the head.

And Jonathan had to supress a gulp that his son may have been an assassin in his past life, a brutal one at that.

However, the most notable trait they had noticed from Jaune, was his temper despite him being silent most of the time.

One time at the household, Jonathan had an argument with Saphron when she revealed that she was in a relationship with a girl named Terra Cotta, something that the patriarch wasn't all that approving off while Jaune was trying to eat his dinner silently where he at first tolerated and minded his own business.

But the continued arguing angered him and when he shouted everyone to keep quiet, his voice became altered, in reminiscent of a Grimm, and the fire in the candles on the table ignited into a pair of flaming pillars until they went back to normal when Jaune calmed down once they all fell silent.

Jaune apologized later afterwards though that incident gave the family impressions that Jaune had anger issues. And since then, they were careful whenever they have an issue to discuss.

Apparently, Jaune loved to exercise his body, mind and soul as a means to calm the inferno from within.

When he was twelve, he began to open up with his sisters more often, advising and helping them of their tasks and activities every so often. As their family were huntsmen, the sisters found themselves sparring with their brother every so often and they decided to go easy on him since he was barely twelve years old.

But they couldn't believe that they were often outclassed and outmaneuvered by his swordsmanship skills, where he effectively used the thinner and yet sharper blade to compliment it with his speed. And several times, he used his harpoon to send them back in slightly longer distances, where they find it impossible to attack him when he wielded them with such precision and speed that it it were a real fight, they could injure themselves as a result.

And they were convinced that he is some sort of an alien who is practically good at whatever interested him and were not expecting less if he had any supernatural powers as well.

And they were right when Jaune gathered the junk wood where they witnessed it combust into a fiery inferno when he slightly raised his hand, and Jaune wasn't even using any matches or any combustible materials. It was if he caused it to burn as if he commanded it to and they watched as Jaune looked at the flames as if he watched its fade away from their eyes.

And they were more baffled when flames were augmented into his weapons, and they could see the smirk that crept up in his lips as if he was proud of his latest achievements.

And they were more afraid than usual when it came to be known that they have to be careful with him.

And overtime, the number of Grimm began to decrease in the vicinity of their home, where Jaune apparently used them as 'training partners', showcasing the brutality in efficiently killing the Grimm in several methods that he could count, ranging from mutilation or just straight up immolation.

Nothing the blond did phased the Arc family after years and years of experience dealing with his particular flavor of strange.

At the age of fifteen, Jaune had the appearance and mannerisms of an Assassin, if not a ninja. Several times he had sparred with his sisters and even his father, his skill in using his two crafted swords made him a formidable opponent,

For all of his oddities, for all of his strength, the Arc family loved Jaune Arc dearly and would do anything to keep their prodigal son happy. When Jaune hadn't expressed an interest in becoming a Huntsman, Jonathan didn't push it and encouraged his son to pursue whatever he decided he wanted to do with the rest of his life.

Jaune couldn't say he was too displeased with his lot in his second life. Nearly two decades after being reborn in a new world, the scars he had endured as both Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion had long faded away.

And yet, the memories of the deeds he had committed as Scorpion had haunted him, and even if. The Elder Gods had rejected him, prevented him from joining the afterlife in death to rejoin his family and clan. And instead, tossed his soul in the great beyond.

That was the theory that Hanzo had long come to accept.

He didn't know whether or not the world he had been reborn in is Earthrealm in the far past or future. And neither does it share any resemblance of the Netherrealm and Outworld.

All Jaune knew was that he was not on Earthrrealm and had no way of ever getting back. How the traits that once depicted him as the Spectre, nor did he really care.

The only theory that Hanzo could come up with is that his soul had managed to evade the clutches to whatever individual who had the ability of Soul Collecting or Necromancy and was transported into the womb of Elena Arc.

With that, Hanzo had likely taken over the body and mind of the body subconsciously and made it his own.

Jaune didn't like to think about the how or the why of his abilities and body, he was just thankful he could rely on skills he knew worked whenever he found himself in trouble.

He was pleased on how he managed to retain his abilities overtime with the right training and refinement. At least he could still be himself into this new world.

When it came to dying and reincarnating, Jaune couldn't be sure, so he decided to make it up as something he would likely never know for certain and accept that his combat potential had remained as potent now as it was in his previous life.

His soul and body seemed to remember his experiences just as his mind did. And what his new family thought of him were true to the very least.

The reborn Hanzo learned as much as he could about the world around him when he realized he was no longer on Earthrrealm and knew just how dire the situation was on Remnant. Only four countries existed, calling themselves Kingdoms, and they were each under almost constant siege from creatures of darkness known as the Grimm.

From Hanzo's observation, the Grimm had similar traits as to that of the Netherrealm's Oni, as they are both empowered by dark energies that are likely from individual/s, who had control of them like Quan Chi or his Master Shinnok though he had no clue as to or what controlled the Grimm. But all that he could come up is that the Grimm had a similar energy that is found in the Netherrealm: but he couldn't enforce this theory without any strong evidence.

Watching as the sun begins to set, Hanzo, or Jaune as he is now called, decided to rejoin his family for dinner when he heard Saphron's call for him. And he resigned himself to the fact that he may engage on another set of banters that he was not so enthusiastically eager to listen with.

And he silently prayed that his family and clan were doing well in whatever afterlife they are in.

What do you think? Should I keep up with this? Let me know in the reviews.Since this is a reincarnation fic, what MK character could you imagine being reincarnated into the RWBY-verse?
