Pokémon Emergency
The gang had arrived at Viridian City. Ash had brought Meowzie, Blue, & Chatot out of there to stretch their legs & wings & Ash was carrying Blue in his arms because she was still weak from the battle with Fearow.
"Ash." A police woman with teal hair & amber eyes said as she approached them
"Hi Jenny, good to see you." Ash said
"You too, I assume you're here on your journey as a Pokémon Trainer." Jenny said
"Yes ma'am." Ash said
"Who's this young lady?" Jenny asked
"This is my good friend, Mallow." Ash said "We're traveling together."
"Nice to meet you, Jenny." Mallow said
"You too, Mallow." Jenny said
"Greetings Officer, I am Rotom Dex, Ash & Mallow's Pokédex." Rotom Dex saluted
"Wow, the first time I've seen one of your kind." Jenny said
"How do you & Officer Jenny know each other?" Mallow asked
"She & Mom happen to be best friends." Ash said
"Speaking of your mom, how is she, Ash?" Jenny asked
"She's fine, I'm gonna call her once we get to the Pokémon Center." Ash said
"Well, how about I give you two a ride there." Jenny offered
"That would be great." Ash said
Suddenly they heard a noise
"Hey, who's there?" Jenny called out
They went to the corner of the station & saw 3 Rattata digging in a trash can
"Oh, it's just a bunch of Rattata." Jenny said
"These are Female Rattata, their whiskers are shorter than Male Rattata." Rotom Dex said
"Looks like they're hungry." Ash said as he pulled a container & poured some Pokémon food on the ground from it
The female Rattata looked at the Pokémon food & started eating, when they were done
"Rattata." They said in satisfaction
"Glad you liked it." Ash said
"Better catch these three, you two." Jenny suggested "Cause when you feed a Pokémon, it can start following you."
"Right." Ash said
Ash caught the 2 female Rattata while Mallow caught the last female Rattata
"Hey Ash, are you gonna give them nicknames?" Mallow asked
"I sure am, along with my male Rattata." Ash said
"What are you gonna name them?" Meowzie asked
"Hm, I know, I'll call them Remy, Splinter, Hazel, & Poppy." Ash said
"Those are clever nicknames." Jenny said
"Hey, can I have a nickname too?" Rotom Dex said
"Sure, since your full name is Rotom Dex, we can call you Dex for short." Ash said
"Sweet!" Dex said happily
After catching the female Rattata, Officer Jenny gave them a ride to the Pokémon Center. When they arrived
"Honey, look who I brought." Jenny called out as they entered the Pokémon Center
"Oh Ash, I'm so glad you're here." A nurse with pink hair & blue eyes greeted
"Hey Joy." Ash said
"Your mother called & said that you started your journey as a Pokémon Trainer. Jenny & I are very proud of you." Joy said with a smile
"Thanks." Ash said
"& this must be your friend Mallow." Joy said
"I am, it's nice to meet you." Mallow said
"Greetings Nurse Joy, I am Rotom Dex, but my owners call me Dex." Dex said
"Aw, what a cute little guy." Joy complimented
"Aw shucks." Dex blushed
"Well, I have to get back to work, I'll see you later." Jenny said as she kissed Joy's cheek
"Bye sweetie, love you." Joy said as Jenny left
"In case you're wondering, Jenny & Joy are married." Ash whispered
"Oh, that makes sense." Mallow understood
"Now, what can I do for you two?" Joy asked
"Well, can you heal our Pokémon please." Ash said
"Of course, that's my specialty." Joy said as she noticed Blue
After Ash & Mallow gave their Pokémon to Joy, they decided to make a couple of calls. First they called Delia & Abe in a group call
"Hi Ash." Delia said
"Hey Mallow." Abe said
"Hey Mom." Ash said
"Hi Daddy." Mallow said
"Where are you?" Delia asked
"In Viridian City." Ash replied
"Already? It took your Dad four days to get there, I'm so proud." Delia said
"We hope it wasn't too much trouble." Abe said
"Well, it was a rough start but we managed." Mallow said
"Ash, be sure to take care of my daughter." Abe said
"Yes sir." Ash said
"That goes for you too, Rotom Dex." Delia said
"Yes ma'am, you can count on me." Dex saluted
After they called their parents, they called Oak & Cerise in a group call
"Hello Ash & Mallow." Oak said
"Hi Ash, Hi Mallow." Cerise said
"Hi Professor Oak, Uncle Cerise." Ash said
"We just arrived in Viridian City." Mallow said
"Did you catch any Pokémon on the way, Ash?" Oak asked
"I sure did." Ash said
"Splendid, when Gary said that you wouldn't have a single Pokémon by the time you got to Viridian City, I bet him a million Pokédollars that he'd be wrong." Oak said
"I'm glad you won the bet." Ash smiled
"Ash caught 3 Pidgey, 4 Rattata, a Spearow, a Fearow, & a Poliwag." Mallow said "One of Ash's Pidgey is Shiny."
"Amazing, guess Gary's gonna have to give me 2 million Pokédollars." Oak said
"I was surprised that you managed to catch a Fearow on the first day." Cerise said
"It wasn't easy." Ash said
"Also, Ash & I saw a Pokémon that was flying over a rainbow." Mallow said
"A rainbow?" Oak repeated surprisingly along with Cerise
"Yeah, it also dropped this feather." Ash said as he pulled out the rainbow-colored feather
"Cerise, is that what I think it is." Oak said shockingly
"It is, it's a Rainbow Wing." Cerise said "Ash, Mallow, The Pokémon you saw was the Legenday Pokémon & Guardian of the Skies, Ho-Oh."
"Ho-Oh?" Ash repeated
"Allow me." Dex said as he looked up Ho-Oh
Ho-Oh, the Rainbow Pokémon, a Fire & Flying Type. Ho-Oh's feathers glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light. These feathers are said to bring happiness to the bearers. This Pokémon is said to live at the foot of a rainbow.
"Wow, what an amazing Pokémon." Ash said in awe
"Make sure you hold on to that Rainbow Wing." Cerise said
"That's right, it appears that Ho-Oh had chosen you to be the Rainbow Wing's holder." Oak said
"I understand." Ash said
After the call, they got their Pokémon from Nurse Joy
"Ash, Mallow, your Pokémon are completely fighting fit." Joy said as she gave them their Pokémon.
"Thanks, Joy." Ash said as he sent out Meowzie, Blue, & Chatot "Hey guys, you feeling alright."
"Yes Ash." Meowzie said
"We've never been better." Chatot said
"Ruff." Blue barked
"Hey." A voice said
Ash & Mallow turned & saw the girl they met at the lake. She was carrying a round, blue mouse-like Pokémon & next to her was a light blue aquatic fox-like Pokemon with a spiky ridge down her spine, a white fin encircling her neck, three fins with webbings on her head, & a split tail fin.
"Hey, it's you." Ash said
"I'm glad you two made it here safely." The girl said "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, we're fine." Ash said
"We hadn't been properly introduced to each other, but my name is Misty & these are my Pokémon Vaporeon & Marill." Misty said
"Por." Vaporeon said
"Marill." Marill said
"Those are very nice Pokémon." Ash said as Dex scanned the Pokémon
Marill, the Aqua Mouse Pokémon, a Water & Fairy Type. Marill's oil-filled tail acts much like a life preserver. If you see just its tail bobbing on the water's surface, it's a sure indication that this Pokémon is diving beneath the water to feed on aquatic plants.
Vaporeon, the Bubble Jet Pokémon, a Water Type. Vaporeon underwent a spontaneous mutation and grew fins and gills that allow it to live underwater. This Pokémon has the ability to freely control water.
"My name's Ash & these are my partners Pikachu, Meowzie, Chatot, & Blue." Ash said
"& I'm Mallow & this is my partner Bounsweet." Mallow said
"& I'm Dex, Ash & Mallow's Pokédex." Dex said
"It's nice to meet you, what happened back there?" Misty asked "Why was that Fearow & those Spearow after you?"
"Well, I was trying to catch this Spearow when suddenly this Fearow attacked & called a whole flock of Spearow. We ran until we reached the waterfall then after we ran into you, they managed to find us as you already know. So we ran again until we were surrounded, then the Fearow challenged me to a battle because the Spearow I tried to catch was its brother." Ash said
"Did you win?" Misty asked
"Yep, After the battle, the Spearow flock retreated, I apologized to Fearow & his brother." Ash said "I also asked them to join me & they let me catch them."
"Wow, I'm impressed, but you should be more careful next time." Misty said "Pokémon have families who are very defensive if you try to catch them."
"I will, don't worry about it." Ash said
*CRASH*
Suddenly two Poké Balls crashed through the ceiling window, then they opened & sent out a purple snake-like Pokémon & a purple spherical Pokémon with a cream colored skull & crossbones below its face
"Ekanssss." The snake-like Pokémon said
"Koffing." The spherical Pokémon said
"Dex, who're those Pokémon?" Ash asked as Dex scanned the Pokémon
Ekans, the Snake Pokémon, a Poison Type. Ekans curls itself up in a spiral while it rests. Assuming this position allows it to quickly respond to a threat from any direction with a glare from its upraised head
Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon, a Poison Type. Koffing embodies toxic substances. It mixes the toxins with raw garbage to set off a chemical reaction that results in a terribly powerful poison gas. The higher the temperature, the more gas is concocted by this Pokémon.
"Koffing!" Koffing said as it released smoke from its body
"Prepare for trouble." A woman said
"& make it double." A man said
"To protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all people within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love"
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie."
"James."
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light."
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Meowth, that's right!" A Meowth said
"Who are you?" Ash said
"We're Team Rocket & we're here for the Pokémon." Jessie said
"Well, you're not getting any." Mallow glared
"Besides, this is a center for weak & injured Pokémon." Joy agreed
"True, but we assure you that Team Rocket we'll restore them back to health." James said
"Yeah, so hand them over." Meowth said before noticing Meowzie "Hm? Excuse me, but have we met?"
"We have." Meowzie nodded "Ash, show him my Poké Ball."
When Ash pulled out Meowzie's diamond encrusted Luxury Ball, Meowth's became shocked & confused
"Meowzie? Is that you?" Meowth asked confusingly
"Yes, we meet again, Meowth." Meowzie said
"You know this Meowth?" Mallow asked
"Yes, we met back in Hollywood, he tried to flirt with me a couple of times." Meowzie said
"So, you can talk now, Huh?" Meowth said suspiciously
"Yeah, & what if I can, why does it matter to you?" Meowzie said
"For your information, you were the one who called me a freak when I learned to talk." Meowth said "Now that I've learned that you can talk, that makes you a freak as well."
"At least I didn't decide to do it for a stupid crush." Meowzie argued
"Don't even try to argue at this point, you've been a prissy hypocrite this whole time." Meowth argued back
"Hey, you better watch it, fleabag." Chatot said defensively
"Oh, then you must be the birdbrain that taught her how to talk." Meowth assumed "Tell me, what was the reason why Meowzie wanted you to teach her how to talk?"
"That ain't your business." Chatot said
"Oh yeah? Then how about I make it my business to find out the reason why?" Meowth said threateningly as he extended his claws
"That's enough, Ekans Go." Jessie said
"Attack Koffing." James said
The gang, Misty, & Nurse Joy ran away & went to the Poké Ball Storage Room as Koffing & Ekans caused a power outage
"Oh no, they cut the power." Mallow said
"Don't worry, we have a Pikachu generator." Joy said
After the Pikachu generator turned the power back on, Joy began transporting to the Pewter City Pokémon Center. Just then Team Rocket smashed their way through the the door
"Found you." Jessie said
"Go Goldeen!" Misty said as she sent out a white fish-like Pokémon with orange markings
"Goldeen." The Pokémon said
"Use Ice Beam." Misty said. The Pokémon fired light blue beams of ice from its mouth & froze Jessie, James, & Meowth in a block of ice. "Ash, Mallow, you guys run while I hold them off."
"Right." Ash said as he & the others ran away
Ash, Mallow, & their Pokémon got back to the lobby & headed straight toward the exit.
"We're almost there." Mallow said
"Ekans!" Ekans said as it popped out of the ground in front of them
"Koffing." Koffing said as it came out of the hole Ekans came from
"Going somewhere, you two?" James said
"You're not getting away that easily." Jessie said
"Guess we have no choice but to battle them." Ash said "Ready Mallow?"
"Ready?" Mallow nodded
"Pikachu, I choose you!" Ash said
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said
"Go Bulbasaur!" Mallow said as she sent out her Bulbasaur
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said
"Koffing, use Smokescreen." James said
"Koffing!" Koffing said as it released thick black smoke from its body
"Pikachu, Use Growl." Ash said
"You too, Bulbasaur." Mallow said
"Chu!/Saur!" Pikachu & Bulbasaur said as they let out a huge growl that distorts the air which blew away the Smokescreen
"Ekans, use Dig." Jessie said as Ekans dug underground
"Pikachu, use Thunder Punch on the ground." Ash said. Pikachu's fist surrounded by yellow electricity & punched the floor which forced Ekans out of the ground
"Bulbasaur, Leech Seed." Mallow said. Bulbasaur fired several seeds from her bulb into the ground around Ekans & Koffing. Then the seeds immediately grow into vines, latched onto them & draining their energy.
"Let's finish this, Pikachu, Volt Tackle." Ash said. Pikachu became surrounded by golden electricity & charged at Ekans
"Bulbasaur, Take Down." Mallow said. Bulbasaur became surrounded by a golden force field & charged at Koffing.
Both Pokémon hit Ekans & Koffing causing them to faint.
"What?!" Jessie exclaimed in shock
"Beaten by a couple of twerps." James said
"Pika!" Pikachu called out
The Pikachu from the Pikachu Generator came to the lobby after hearing Ash's Pikachu's call
"Alright, Pikachu, Use Thunder Shock." Ash said
"Pika CHUUUUUU!" Ash's Pikachu & the other Pikachu said as they fired shocks of yellow electricity & hit Team Rocket which sent them flying through the ceiling
"Team Rocket's Blasting Off!" Team Rocket shouted!
"We did it, Ash." Mallow said happily
"Yeah, you were great." Ash praised
"Ash, Mallow, are you two okay?" Misty said as she & Joy arrived
"We're fine, we got rid of Team Rocket." Ash said
"What about the Poké Balls?" Mallow asked
"All of them have been transported safely." Joy said
"That's a relief." Mallow said
"Joy!" Jenny said as she entered the Pokémon Center "Are you alright, is anyone hurt?"
"It's okay, honey, Ash & Mallow helped get rid of Team Rocket." Joy assured
"Thank goodness." Jenny said in relief
"Ash, Mallow, there's a Contest in Viridian City that starts tomorrow." Joy informed "Are you two gonna enter it?"
"Yeah." Ash & Mallow said excitedly
"Then we suggest you get some rest & prepare for it." Jenny suggested
After dealing with Team Rocket, Ash & Mallow decided to turn in for the night, so they can get ready for the contest
