The Pokémon Hunter
After Ash was done with training his Pokémon, he was hanging out with Mallow as they were catching up with each other
"So Mallow, how's your family?" Ash asked
"They're good, my brother is on a cooking journey with his Lickitung & my Dad is still running his restaurant." Mallow replied
"& your Mom?" Ash asked "Is she feeling any better?"
"…No…she passed away." Mallow said sadly as Ash looked at her surprisingly
"Oh…Mallow I-I'm so sorry, I didn't know." Ash apologized
"It's okay, Ash. It's not a big deal." Mallow assured
"Okay…She was a very kind lady." Ash said
"Yeah." Mallow said before mumbling "If only she lived long enough for me to apologize to her."
"What?" Ash looked at her
"Nothing." Mallow said
Meowzie hopped on Mallow's shoulder
"Meow Meow." Meowzie comforted
"Thanks Meowzie." Mallow smiled
Then they felt the ground rumbling
"What's going on?" Mallow said
"Watch out!" Ash exclaimed as he saw his herd of Tauros stampeding towards them
Then a vine grabbed Mallow & a long pink tongue grabbed Ash & hoisted up in the air as the Tauros passed by. When the vine & tongue put Ash & Mallow down, they looked & saw that it was Lickitung & Victreebel.
"Thanks Lickitung & Victreebel." Ash said
"Bel." Victreebel said
"Licki." Lickitung said
"Talk about a Stampede." Mallow commented
"That was a close one." Misty said as she & Brock went up to them
"I see you met the rest of Ash's Tauros." Brock said
"Huh? How many Tauros do you have, Ash?" Mallow asked
"30." Ash said
"30!?" Mallow said shockingly
"Back at the Safari Zone, I was attempting to catch many different Pokémon, but I ended up with thirty Tauros, since they always ran in front of the Safari Balls whenever he tried to make a catch." Ash explained
"You're not gonna keep all of them, are you?" Mallow said
"What do you mean?" Ash asked
"Well, have you ever thought of trading 29 of them for other Pokémon?" Mallow asked
"Oh, I never thought of that." Ash sweatdropped
"I think you should trade your 29 Tauros, that way you'll get new Pokémon." Mallow suggested
"She's right." Oak said as he walked up to them "You can trade your 29 Tauros at the Pokémon Center in Cinnabar Island. Also I have discovered that there are three new Types."
"New Types?" Ash repeated
"Yes, they are known as Steel Type, Dark Type, & Fairy Type." Oak informed "I also discovered that Magnemite & Magneton are part Steel Type here in the Kanto Region."
"What about the Fairy Types?" Misty asked
"The only Fairy Types here in Kanto are Clefairy, Clefable, Mr. Mime, & Jigglypuff." Oak said "Togepi is also a Fairy Type."
"Well what do you know?" Misty commented as she looked at Togepi
"Toge Toge." Togepi cooed
"Are there any Dark Types here in Kanto?" Brock asked
"No, but there are Dark Types that live in other regions." Oak said
"That's awesome, Professor." Ash said.
"How are we supposed to get to Cinnabar Island?" Misty asked
"Well, Charizard can fly us there, but he isn't big enough to carry us." Ash said before getting an idea "I know, we'll use Mr. Mime."
"You have a Mr. Mime?" Mallow said
"Yeah, but he technically belongs to both me & my Mom." Ash said "We can have him use Teleport to transport us to Cinnabar Island."
"That's a clever idea." Mallow complimented
"Mallow, since you like Grass Type so much, I'd like to give you your own Bulbasaur." Oak said as he gave Mallow a Poké Ball with a Bulbasaur in it.
"Wow, Thanks Professor!" Mallow beamed
"You're welcome, my dear." Oak smiled
"Hey Mallow, how about catching some Grass Types before we head off to Cinnabar Island?" Ash asked
"Yeah!" Mallow said
The gang went to the forest & searched for Grass Types until Mallow saw an Oddish
"Hey, it's an Oddish." Mallow said excitedly
"Use your Bounsweet to weaken it." Ash said.
"Okay, Go Bounsweet." Mallow said
"Bounsweet." Bounsweet said
"Use Rapid Spin."
Bounsweet spun at rapid speed & hit Oddish. Then Oddish fired Acid at her
"Dodge it & use Razor Leaf."
Bounsweet dodged the attack & fired multiple green glowing leaves & hit Oddish
"Catch it now." Ash said
"Right, go Poké Ball!" Mallow said as she threw a Poké Ball & caught Oddish "Alright, my first capture."
"Congratulations Mallow, you did good." Misty congratulated
"Thanks, let's keep looking for more." Mallow said
They looked again until they came across a Gloom
"This Pokémon might be a bit stronger than both Bounsweet & Bulbasaur." Ash said
"Meowth." Meowzie said as he hopped off of Ash's shoulder
"Meowzie, do you wanna help Mallow?" Ash Asked
"Meow." Meowzie nodded
"What moves does Meowzie know?" Mallow asked
"Here." Ash said as he showed her on his Pokédex
"Okay, Meowzie use Aerial Ace." Mallow said. Meowzie became surrounded by light blue streak & hit Gloom
"Gloom!" Gloom said as it released Stun Spore.
"Dodge that Stun Spore with Dig." Mallow said as Meowzie underground
"Now come out & use Icy Wind."
Meowzie came out of the ground & blew a gust of wind with light blue sparkle in it from her mouth & hit Gloom
"Go Poké Ball!" Mallow said as she threw a Poké Ball & caught Gloom
"Help."
"Huh?" Ash said as he heard a voice
"What's wrong?" Mallow asked
"Did you something?" Ash asked
"What are talking about?" Misty said
"Help us."
"There it is again." Ash said
"I don't hear anything." Brock said
"Neither do I." Misty said as Ash ran off
"Wait up, Ash." Mallow said as she went after him
Ash followed the voice which led them to an area where they saw a golden yellow Exeggcute, a light blue Psyduck, Ponyta with a blue fire mane & tale, a Vileplume, a Cubone, a Marowak, a white avian Togepi-like Pokémon, & a white robot-like Pokémon with four legs, red eyes, yellow claws, & a yellow cross on its face. They also saw Two humanoid-like Pokémon; one had light pink on the wrists, feet, and lower body with an orange upper body, hands, & legs & an onion-shaped head with round swirled ears on each side of it. The other one had a beige body with blue & yellow adornments & a blue headpiece with three bulb-like extensions covering the upper portion of its head. They also saw another Marowak & Ponyta, but this wasn't a normal Marowak, this Marowak had a black body and pale gray eyes. There is also a dark, flamelike mark on its skull between the eyes & its bone was bigger & longer than a normal Marowak's. The Ponyta was white & it's man & tail was purple & blue, it also a horn on the top of its head The Pokémon were in a cage & were severely injured
"Look at those shiny Pokémon." Mallow said
"& it's an Alolan Marowak & a Galarian Ponyta & what are those Pokémon." Ash said as he pulled out his Pokédex
Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokémon, Metagross has four brains in total. Combined, the four brains can breeze through difficult calculations faster than a supercomputer. This Pokémon can float in the air by tucking in its four legs. This Metagross is Shiny
Meditite, the Meditate Pokémon, Meditite undertakes rigorous mental training deep in the mountains. However, whenever it meditates, this Pokémon always loses its concentration and focus. As a result, its training never ends. This Meditite is Shiny
Medicham, the Meditate Pokémon, & the evolved form of Meditite, It is said that through meditation, Medicham heightens energy inside its body and sharpens its sixth sense. This Pokémon hides its presence by merging itself with fields and mountains. This Medicham is Shiny
Togekiss, the Jubilee Pokémon, & the final evolved form of Togepi. It shares many blessings with people who respect one another's rights and avoid needless strife.
Marowak, the Bone Keeper Pokémon, Alolan Form, & the evolved form of Cubone. This Pokémon sets the bone it holds on fire and dances through the night as a way to mourn its fallen allies.
Ponyta, the Unique Horn Pokémon, Galarian Form, Its small horn hides a healing power. With a few rubs from this Pokémon's horn, any slight wound you have will be healed.
"You've been to the Galar Region, Ash?" Mallow asked surprisingly
"Yeah, when I was 7." Ash said
"Those Shiny Pokémon are super rare." Brock said
"Got that right & anyone who catches them is extremely lucky." A man said as he confronted the gang
"Who are you?" Ash asked
"The name's Rico, I'm a Pokémon Hunter." Rico said "I capture Pokémon & then I sell them on the black market & if you kids will excuse me, I have some business to tend to."
"Well I hate to break it to you, but you're not gonna sell any of those Pokémon." Ash glared
"Hm, so you wanna fight, huh?" Rico said as he pulled out an Ultra Ball "Alright kid, let's battle, Go Tyranitar!"
Rico sent out a Tyranitar.
"Taaaaar!" Tyranitar said as Ash pulled out his Pokédex
Tyranitar, the Armor Pokémon, Tyranitar is so overwhelmingly powerful, it can bring down a whole mountain to make its nest. This Pokémon wanders about in mountains seeking new opponents to fight.
"Meowzie, I choose you!" Ash said
"Meowth!" Meowzie said as she stepped forward
"Heh, this should be easy." Rico smirked "Tyranitar, use Crunch."
Tyranitar's opens its mouth, creates yellow teeth-like aura & charges at Meowzie
"Meowzie, Use Iron Tail." Ash said. Meowzie's tail glowed white, then she dodged the attack & hit Tyranitar
"Use Dark Puse." Rico said. Tyranitar's fired a beam of black & purple circles from its mouth.
"Use Dig." Ash said as Meowzie dug underground & avoided the attack. Then she came out & uppercutted Tyranitar
"Use Brick Break." Rico said. Tyranitar's fist glowed bluish white & punched Meowzie
"Now use Rock Slide."
Multiple glowing rocks appeared around Tyranitar & then it launched them at Meowzie
"Use Seed Bomb." Ash said. Meowzie fired multiple glowing green explosive seeds from her mouth which collided with Rock Slide
"Let's end this, Use Hyper Beam." Rico said. Tyranitar fired an orange beam of energy from its mouth.
"Detect." Ash said
"Meow." Meowzie said as her eyes glowed light blue for a moment & dodged the attack
"Now, Mimic." Ash said. Meowzie's charm glowed white then it fired Hyper Beam & hit Tyranitar which sent it flying into Rico.
Both Rico & Tyranitar were slammed against the cage which forced it open & the Pokémon escaped & went to the gang
"Are you guys alright?" Ash asked as the Pokémon nodded
"Ugh." Rico groaned as he rubbed his head
"Gloom, use Stun Spore." Mallow said as she sent out her Gloom.
"Gloom." Gloom said as she released Stun Spore & paralyzed Rico & Tyranitar.
After the police came & arrested Rico.
"Thanks for catching Rico, we've been after him for a while & he was quite slippery." Officer Jenny said
"You're welcome, Officer." Ash said as Jenny left with police
"Thanks for the help." Meditite said
"We are all in your debt." Medicham said
"Meditite & Medicham are using telepathy." Brock said surprisingly
"You have defeated that Pokémon Hunter & saved us all." Medicham said "if my son Meditite hadn't called for help, I'd hate to think what would've happened to us."
"So that's what you must've heard, Ash." Misty said
"Please, how can we ever repay you?" Medicham asked
"Can we join his team, Papa? I want to be strong like Meowzie & defeat big Pokémon like Tyranitar." Meditite said as the other Pokémon except Vileplume & Exeggcute agreed
"Hm." Medicham said as he looked at Ash "Human, what is your name?"
"Ash, Ash Ketchum." Ash replied
"Well Ash, it seems that my son wants us to join you as repayment for saving our lives." Medicham said "Will you accept?"
"Sure." Ash said
"Here Ash." Mallow said as he gave Ash a box
Ash opened the box & it was filled with different Poké Balls.
"Wow, where'd you get these?" Ash asked
"I actually won them in a contest." Mallow said "I know how much you love catching Pokémon, so I wanted to give them to you."
"Thanks Mallow." Ash said "Hey, how about you catch the Shiny Exeggcute & Vileplume."
"Really?" Mallow said
"Yeah, you did help catch that Pokémon Hunter & you like Grass Types, I think you deserve them." Ash said
"Aww, thank you so much." Mallow blushed as she turned to the Grass Types "Would you like to become my Pokémon?"
"Exeggcute." Exeggcute smiled
"Vile." Vileplume nodded
"While you guys are catching those Pokémon, I'm gonna catch that Shiny Psyduck." Misty said as she pulled out a Poké Ball
"Psy?" Psyduck said as she looked at her
"Go Poké Ball!" Misty said as she threw the Poké Ball
"Duck." Psyduck glared as it smacked the Poké Ball away with its tail
"What?" Misty said confusingly
"Psyduck." Psyduck said as it went to Ash's side
"I think Psyduck wants to become Ash's Pokémon." Brock said
"Aw, no fair." Misty pouted
So Ash caught Meditite with a Poké Ball, Medicham with a Great Ball, Togekiss with a Premier Ball, Alolan Marowak with a Dusk Ball, Kantonian Marowak with a Great Ball, Cubone & Metagross with Friend Balls, Psyduck with a Dive Ball, Kantonian Ponyta with a Safari Ball, & Galarian Ponyta with a Repeat Ball. Mallow caught the Exeggcute & Vileplume
