Chapter VIII Cavalry Battle Finale
Ophelia pursed her lips while watching Todoroki right in front of them. She foresees them are trying to take their headband but failed. However, someone is going to take it secretly without being noticed. Ophelia guessed it has something to do with Midoriya. He and All Might are the only blurred futures she couldn't see. Ophelia knew Todoroki would keep her seer powers in secret despite her erases Hagakure's memories. The invisible girl would blurt it accidentally in front of the girls and the entire class would know it. She could bring herself in danger if one of the League of Villains would find out about her secret powers. The blonde girl knows someone who has similar abilities to her but this hero has his own limits. Ophelia, on the other hand, can see someone's future whatever she wanted.
"Who would have thought this day would come he would confront us." Aileen commented with a stern look on her face.
"He's pretty much holding a grudge on you, Izuku and Aileen." Meowstic commented. "You guys haven't done anything wrong to tick him off."
"Did you guys managed to piss him off?" Tetsutetsu couldn't help but ask curiously.
"No." Ophelia immediately answered. "He's closing off his emotions since the day he came here in U.A. It's not in my place to reveal his pasts to make him like that."
"Do you think it has something to do with his father? Considering he's related to Endeavor." Crystal suggested while remaining calm look. "He has a heavy burden carrying on his shoulder."
"Whether I deny or accept it, it's not my story to tell." She answered and it pains her to see his pasts.
"Whether we know his pasts or not." Aileen intervened and looking at them. "We need to ensure our headband is in place before the time is over. Understood?"
"Yes!" They answered in a determined tone.
"Ophie, I'll be out temporary and I leave it to you guys." Aileen explained as Gallade's feeling is reaching out to her.
"You're not leaving our team disqualified right?" Tetsutetsu asked worriedly.
"No. Gallade is some kind of under spell and needs me." Aileen answered truthfully. "It won't be long and I'll be back soon." She closes her eyes and trying to connect Gallade's feelings.
"You heard our Lee-lee." Ophelia is glancing at them. "Let's do our best. We need to escape from them. Iida is going to move forward and Yaoyorozu is going to create a weapon to protect their team." She explains calmly.
"Protect them from what?" Tetsutetsu asked the blonde girl.
"Kaminari's electricity." Meowstic immediately answered. "The blonde kid with black bolt style on his hair."
"Raichu, I want you to absorb his electricity and wait for my signal to push them back. Once the attack collides and causes a huge smoke, someone will take our headbands. Scorbunny, I want you to take the headband back and Crissie will catch you." Ophelia gives them instruction.
"O-okay!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
"Here we go." Her eyes glowed purple and use her psychic to levitate them up into the air. "It's not only Todoroki's group we have to watch out for but everyone as well."
"Indiscriminate shock... 1.3 million volts!" Kaminari yelled and releasing huge bolts all over the place.
"You won't get away with it!" Alolan Raichu yelled and absorbing the bolt to protect them. The others failed to braced themselves and got hit apart from the shock.
Gallade silently gasps as he regains his senses back. "What in the Arceus?" He muttered under his breath and feels someone on his back. "Ojiro and Aoyama?" The blade Pokemon called his classmate but they didn't respond. His red eyes glance up to see the indigo-haired boy is riding on them calmly. "You..." He growled quietly at the person who declared a war on them.
Aileen opened her eyes and manage to get Gallade back. The blue-haired girl silently nods at Ophelia and she returns a cheeky smile. "Less than six minutes left." Todoroki whispered under his breath. "We can't back down now." He froze the black rode from Yaoyorozu's creation and the floor. "Sorry, but you'll just have to bear it."
"What do we have here!?" Alexa exclaimed with a disbelief look on her face. "Todoroki took care of that crowd of teams in an instant! However, Raichu absorbs it to protect LaRusso's team!"
"Raichu is part of electricity type Pokemon and it's easy for him to absorb it." Professor Sycamore explained Ophelia's Pokemon.
"He froze them after Kaminari's shock stopped them... I guess it should be expected, but he took into account how a lot of people avoided it in the obstacle course." Aizawa commented calmly.
"Nice commentary!" Present Mic is giving him a thumbs up.
"Ophie, save your strength and land." Aileen ordered the blonde girl. "Sylveon help us out!" She releases her Pokemon and Sylveon sits on Crystal's head.
"Who's that Pokemon that female Sycamore sends out?!" Present Mic asked with a curious look on his face.
Rotom Dex appeared in front of Present Mic's face. "That's Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokemon. Sylveon affectionately wraps its ribbon-like feelers around its Trainer's arm as they walk together." He explained.
"Sylveon use swift and Meowstic psyshock to push them back." Aileen ordered them.
"Yes!" Meowstic and Sylveon attacked together whereas Todoroki uses his ice to cause a huge explosion and smoke covering them.
"It clashes together and we can't see!" Present Mic yelled and couldn't see due to a huge smoke. "Woah! LaRusso's team has zero points! Will be they able to retrieve it back!?" He and the others are surprised someone snatches their headband.
"What the-!" Crystal feels the headband been snatch by someone else.
"One minute left!" Present Mic reminded them. "Team Midoriya seized the ten million points while they're clashing! Using the smoke as a distraction to take it!"
"Can Team LaRusso take the ten million points back?" Alexa asked and knowing they have a trick up into their sleeves.
"Scorbunny use bounce to take our headband back!" Ophelia yelled at the Rabbit Pokemon.
"No hard feelings!" Sylveon throws Scorbunny towards Midoriya as AlolanRaichu releases thunder at shadow to make him timider. "Gotcha!" He cheers and holding a headband in his hand.
"I can't move my body!" Midoriya exclaimed and feels his whole body is paralyzed by Scorbunny's attack.
Crystal swings her lasso and catches Scorbunny before he could land on the ground. "Thanks, buddy." She smiles softly and wrapping it back in her neck.
"Sylveon, return!" Aileen returns Sylveon back into her Pokeball.
"LaRusso's team manage to get the ten million back quickly before we could even blink!" Alexa exclaimed with a smile on her face.
Todoroki glares at them coldly and trying to figure out how to get the headband when they have Meowstic, Alolan Raichu and Scorbunny to guard them. He noticed Ophelia's purple eyes light meaning she predicted someone's future and it irked him. The dual-haired boy noticed her purple light and dark color whenever she uses her power. Light purple means she's predicting the future whereas dark purple means using psionic powers. Her eyes didn't glow when she's communicating mentally. It means no one would hear their conversation out loud.
"Everyone, there's less than a minute left." Iida informed them.
"Everyone, Tenya is going to use his special move to get our headband before we could blink." Ophelia warned them. "Crissie, why don't you use your talent performance back in the Sinnoh region?" She suggested.
"Sinnoh region?" Tetsutetsu asked curiously. "You mean that region has Pokemon contests and allows them to enter to anyone. Pokemon will show any attack to make it creative on their performance?"
"I'm glad Crissie give you a lesson of our world, Tetsu." Aileen complimented the gray-haired boy and he blushed slightly.
"When?" Crystal asked and ignoring their conversation.
"Soon because he only used it once." Ophelia answered and observing them.
"Yay, I can't wait to show my cool moves!" Scorbunny cheers happily and trying his best not to jump enthusiastically.
Ophelia noticed Iida's stance. "Now!" She yelled in their minds.
"Torque Over-"
"Flame sphere style!" Scorbunny jumps high into the air and uses a flame thrower while spinning to create a huge flame sphere to protect them.
"Shoot!" Iida swerves to avoid getting hit in the flames and gritting his teeth in annoyance. He couldn't use another reciproburst again and didn't expect they could see right through them.
"How's that!" Scorbunny is giving them a peace sign before landing on Crystal's arm once the flame is gone.
"Nice, Usagi!" Tetsutetsu complimented the Rabbit Pokemon and he smiles happily.
"Wha..!? What happened!? So fast! So fast!" Present Mic yelled and bringing the microphone close to his mouth.
"They're fasts but failed to snatch the headband due to Scorbunny's flame thrower!" Alexa exclaimed with a disbelief look on his face.
"I'm glad no one knows what our Pokemon is capable of." Ophelia commented with a smirk on her face. "It gives us an opportunity to caught them off guard."
"They may know our attitude but you, Ophelia, manage to fool them by your happy-go-lucky attitude." Crystal pointed out with a smirk.
"Tenya, you almost caught us off guard." Ophelia commented and smiles happily. "It was close but not enough to get our headband back." Their priceless reaction are worth it to see them fail.
Back from the bystanders, a blonde girl with armor appeared just in time. She manages to sit down right next to Ruby Witch. Dragonite smiles softly at the girl and she returns a tired smile. "I'm surprised you're here when you usually stayed with your class."
"Clara and Mirio forced against my own will." Luminous chuckled nervously. Her students won't allow Luminous to watch them. They wanted her to cheer her nephew. "I wanted to stay and watched my students but- they wanted me to cheer my nephew." She narrowed her eyes at the number two hero far from them. "It seems like someone is watching his soon to see if his results."
Ruby Witch pursed her lips since she knows Endeavor banned Luminous from seeing her nephews and niece. Luminous wanted to take the children but Endeavor forbids her thus cutting off their ties. She loathed the man who breaks Luminous's heart until Edgeshot came.
"He's not going to become like him." Ruby Witch declared and Dragonite nodded his head. "He has a lot of potentials, however, he can't rely on using his ice forever."
"Clara told me someone is going to open Shoto's eyes." Luminous stared at the blonde girl with golden eyes. "I have to see it."
"How did you know I will use that move on you, Ophelia-kun?" Iida demanded an answer from her but Todoroki refrains from telling him the truth.
"Your stance kinda reminds us of Rapidash when they're going on full speed." Aileen answered and narrowing her eyes at them. "Ophie detected it quickly and planning ahead of us."
"It's like a game of chess." Ophelia commented darkly and brings down a shiver through their spine by her unusual dark look. "I'm always one step ahead of you guys."
Crystal immediately strikes her lasso at Midoriya's jetpack to earn an angry yell at the pink-haired Tangela girl. She didn't want their team to sneak back the headband.
"One minute left and we need to protect the headband at all costs." Aileen reminded them.
Todoroki's team rushed ahead and accidentally uses his left hand to active his fire. Tetsutetsu immediately turned himself into steel to protect them from the heat. Scorbunny secretly managed to wear the headband on his waists and hides on Ophelia's side. The black-haired girl with green eyes raises her two wrists, to use her bracelets to block the fire completely. "You're a fool, if you think my bracelet can melt by your flames!" Crystal exclaimed and pushing the team back.
"Raichu, use electro ball and Meowstic, use psybeam!" Ophelia ordered them.
"Here we go!" Alolan Raichu and Meowstic combine their powers together to create a huge smoke. Scorbunny manages to tie the headband back on Crystal's neck.
"No-no-now is our chance to escape!" Alolan Raichu stuttered and uses his psychic to levitate them up.
"They're too smart and couldn't get the ten million." Midoriya muttered under his breath and knew it has something to do with Ophelia's vision. He remembered Ophelia couldn't see the glimpse of his future but the others can. Ophelia didn't rely more on vision because she's always one step ahead of her plans.
"They have Pokemon to guard them and Scorbunny paralyzes you temporarily by his jump." Tokoyami reminded the green-haired boy.
"With just eleven seconds left, there's an angry retrieval here, too!" Present Mic reminded them. "Can the team manage to take down LaRusso when they're in the air!?"
"Hang in their little guy! Only eleven seconds just we need to float up." Tetsutetsu reminded the psychic mouse Pokemon softly.
Alolan Raichu gritted his teeth and never use his psychic more than one person before. This is a good challenge for him to see how much he can use it. "Ye-yeah." Alolan Raichu answered and trying to focus to use his psychic.
"Time's just about up!" Alexa exclaimed and raising her hands up. "Let's start the countdown people!"
"Damn witch girl and fish tail!" Bakugou came out of nowhere and flies up into the air to get the headband.
"Uraraka-san and Tokoyami-san!" Midoriya yelled as a dark shadow flies up to snatch the headband.
"Yaoyorozu!" Todoroki called Yaoyorozu to create a pole for him.
"Oh, no you don't!" Crystal jumps out from them and clashing her two bracelets together to create a force to push them down.
Just when the three teams are about to fall down on the ground. "Time's up!" Alexa yelled at them to remind them the battle is over.
Crystal landed safely on the ground whereas Bakugou slams his face down on the ground by her attack. Midoriya and Todoroki's team are laying down on the ground as well. Alolan Raichu couldn't hold on much longer and stops using his psychic. Ophelia is taking the lead to use her psychic and landed on the ground safe.
"That's the end of the second round, the cavalry battle!" Present Mic yelled.
"Great job, Crissie!" Ophelia complimented Crystal and giving each other a high five.
"We made it!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed happily and carrying Crystal in his arms while spinning. "You're so cool to wipe them down on the floor!"
Crystal laughs softly and hugging Tetsutetsu. "I couldn't do it without you guys."
Ophelia and Aileen are smirking at each other to see their closeness. "Oho~ our Princess here is seeing someone, right? Lee-lee?"
"You're right, are they hiding something from us?" Aileen asked as Crystal and Tetsutetsu blushed brightly while the Pokemon are snickering.
"Now, let's take a look at the top four teams right away!" Present Mic yelled. "In first place, Team LaRusso!"
"We made it on the next round guys!" Ophelia cheered happily and hugging her two Pokemon tight. "Wah! That was so intense!" She cried as Meowstic and Alolan Raichu are squirming uncomfortably.
"Get off you idiot!"
"No-no-no need to cry, Ophelia!"
"In second place, Team Todoroki!" Alexa announced second place while Todoroki is glaring at Ophelia and Aileen coldly.
"In third place, Team Bakugou!" Present Mic revealed the third place.
The ash-blond boy clicks his tongue in annoyance and getting beat up again by his rivals. He's no fool to think Ophelia can think of ahead of them. Not to mention, they have the advantage to call their Pokemon and help them out. Bakugou notices Ophelia is great at analyzing and planning ahead behind her happy-go-lucky. Aileen on the other hand, she's smart and almost par at Ophelia's analysis.
"In fourth place, Mido- huh? What, it's team Shinso!?" Present Mic yelled to find out the last place and Ophelia couldn't help but feel sorry for Midoriya. "When did you come from behind?"
"Izuku..." Aileen muttered and looking at Midoriya and his team worriedly. "They work so hard and unable to made it to the next round."
"It's going to be odd on the finals." Ophelia answered and manage to see the future for the next round. "Gallade and Ojiro are going to be surrender for the next round."
"Shall we tell him?" Crystal asked the blonde girl.
Ophelia shook her head. "Let's give them a surprise." She smiles softly.
"These four teams... will advance... to the final round!" Alexa declared and couldn't wait to see their actions.
Luminous noticed her nephew is shaken from using his fire Quirk accidentally on Crystal's team. She knows Todoroki hated his left power because of his father sending Rei to the hospital and banning her from seeing them again.
"Shoto..." She whispered under his name sadly.
Dragonite simply rubs Luminous's shoulder to comfort the blonde girl. She's in pain watching her nephew closing off his emotions because of Endeavor. The dragon Pokemon doesn't need to ask anyone to sense Luminous feelings but to comfort the girl.
"Now, we'll take an hour's break for lunch before we start the afternoon festivities!" Present Mic announced and Ophelia's stomach growled.
"Ahaha... I'm hungry." Ophelia smiles sheepishly as the girls sigh heavily before smiling.
"That's Ophie for you." Crystal laughs softly before glancing at Tetsutetsu then at the girls. "I'll see you guys later."
"Yeah, thank you for teaming us, guys." Aileen thanked them.
"It's a man's job to protect you guys and I'm happy we made it to the finals." Tetsutetsu smiled. "You girls are amazing. I'm sorry for doubting you guys."
"It's all in the past Tetsu-kun." Ophelia waves it off. "You're also awesome as well!"
Tetsutetsu smiles in embarrassment before looking away. "I promised to protect it and I did."
"Maybe also promise you're going to ask our Crissie out." Ophelia teased the gray-haired boy.
"Shut up!" He yelled and she laughs leaving Crystal confused by their conversation.
"Congratulations, guys." Riko approached them to congratulate the team. "You guys are strong to made it hard for us to get the headband."
"It's all about teamwork and I wouldn't be successful without them." Ophelia answered with a smile. "They're willing to join me and taking the risks."
"Once again, congratulations." Riko bows politely down at them before joining Iida.
Ophelia's smile drop before looking at Aileen. They're sharing the same look before nodding their head. They need to get themselves ready before the final round starts.
