Chapter XI Battle On, Challengers!
It's Crystal's turn to face one of her friend's classmates, Kaminari Denki. From what she observed from the boy. Kaminari can control electricity and the more he used it, he will become an idiot.
"Everybody, sorry for the long wait!" Present Mic announced once they finished defrosted the ice. "The stage that was frozen in the second match is finally dry, so on to the next match!" The screen appeared the picture of serene Crystal and smiling Kaminari.
"Kaminari is in the world of pain!" Ophelia exclaimed happily and laughs. She has no doubts Crystal can make it to the second round.
"What is her Quirk, Fee-chan?" Uraraka asked curiously. "We only see her bracelets clashed together to create a force or shield. She even has lasso with her!" None of them apart from Aileen, Ophelia and their Pokemon know Crystal's Quirk.
"That weapon is a gift from her grandmother." Aileen explained calmly. "It was passed down by the generation to wield the weapon."
"As for her Quirk... that's for me to know and for you to dot dot dot." Ophelia teased them and Aileen sighs heavily.
"I'll confiscate all those vampire series." Aileen declared and Ophelia wailed.
"Wah, don't do this to me, Lee-lee!"
"You're seriously quoting one of the characters!" She slaps her head using the paper fan. "Crissie is either to demonstrate her Quirk or keep it hidden." She changes the subject. "The fact she observed Kaminari during the cavalry battle. It's going to end quickly."
"How will you know that, Aileen-kun?" Iida asked curiously.
Aileen's expression turns serious. "Kaminari has no chance against her even if she's a female."
Gallade nodded his head. "For as long as we remember, Crystal is strong." It earned a nervous look from their classmate excluding Bakugou and Todoroki.
"She has the beauty and grace but behind that appearance... she's a strong and courageous female from Class B! LaRusso Crystal! Versus-" Alexa gives Present Mic a look.
"Sparkling Killing Boy! From the hero course, it's Kaminari Denki!" Present Mic declared.
"Let the match begin!" Alexa yelled happily before turning off the mic. "Hehe... I'm going to feel sorry for him." She cringed and silently pray for his health. Present Mic and Aizawa are looking at her weirdly before watching the match.
Crystal stands calmly while facing Kaminari. She noticed Kaminari's smugness as he completely underestimating her abilities. "When this is over, wanna grab a bite to eat?" Kaminari asked her out of the blue. "I'll comfort you if you'll have me."
Crystal sighs softly before she shook her head. "We're here to fight not to ask a girl you just met." She explained in a stern tone. "Are all males being naive like you?" She asked coldly.
"Geh. She's cold as ice." He muttered under his breath before shook his head. "Cause this match'll probably be over in a second!" Kaminari declared.
"Oh?" She smiles in amusement. "I would like to see you try... Pichu."
"Indiscriminate shock... 1.3 million volts!" He throws thunder at her.
Crystal simply crosses her arms with bracelets to protect from the electricity. The audience gasps in shock to see no damage on her. They assume her bracelets won't stay long because of the electricity but she proves them wrong. She runs in his direction before grabbing his collar. "You have a long way to go to defeat me." She throws him on the wall to create a huge dent.
"It was decided in an instant! I'll say it once more! An instant!" Present Mic yelled with a disbelief look on his face.
"Hurray!" Ophelia and Aileen give each other a high five.
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock. "Her Quirk got something to do with the physical!" He yelled in surprise.
"Yeah." Meowstic answered with a smirk.
"LaRusso-chan advances to the second round!" Midnight declared.
"Good job, Crystal-san!" Tetsutetsu congratulates his crush.
"Go! Go! Crystal!" Scorbunnny cheers his partner and shaking his own pompom.
"What's that? Didn't he say he'd settle this in a second?" Monoma mocks the 1-A. "That's strange, he was defeated in a second, wasn't- gah!" His whole body is covered in black smoke.
Scorbunny giggles and winking at them. "Hehe... sorry about him! You know what? I'm enjoying my role!" He uses ember to stop Monoma to irritate them. The rabbit Pokemon has no clue why he would irritate them. They haven't done anything wrong unless he's jealous of their villain encounter.
Kendo shook her head with a smirk. "Good job, Scorbunny." Patting the Rabbit Pokemon's head.
"Hehe!" He rubs his nose.
Pikachu sighs softly before shocking Midoriya. The green-haired boy cried out in pain. His hair goes frizzle by the shock. "Izuku! You're scaring them by your mutter and rambling!" He scolded his partner.
"Ahaha... sorry, Pikachu-kun." Midoriya smiles nervously. "But... is it necessary to shock me?"
"I shock Ophelia twice and she didn't mind." He shrugged his shoulder.
"That's because she has few electric-type Pokemon shocks her worse, Pikachu." Meowstic commented bluntly.
"It's called tough love~" Ophelia declared happily and Aileen sighs heavily.
"You just finished, but you're already thinking about countermeasures, huh?" Uraraka changes the subject.
"Oh, no!" Midoriya covers his mouth while blushing. "It's just, I mean, this is pretty much my hobby... it's not every day I get a chance to see amazing Quirks outside of those in our class or even Pokemon..."
"Maybe after the festival, we can explore our home." Aileen suggested with a smile. "It was ruined by you know who. I'm sure dad won't mind having you guys again."
"Really!?" Midoriya and Uraraka asked with their eyes glitter.
"Yeah." Gallade nodded his head. "I'm sure you guys wanted to see different Pokemon and their habitats."
"I can't wait to see them!" It's his dream to see another Pokemon after having Pikachu. "Oh, right! I've been putting these together for everyone in Class A, too. For your Zero Gravity too, Uraraka-san!" Midoriya showed them his notes.
Uraraka looks surprised he wrote her Quirk's information in detail before smiling. "Deku-kun, you've been amazing since I met you, but the sports festival is making me think that you're amazing all over again."
"That's my Izuku!" Pikachu bragged his partner while the girls are giggling.
"Now, it's time for the fourth match!" Present Mic declared. "We're just gonna keep rolling along! Rush headlong toward the top!"
"Ophie, your match is coming soon." Aileen reminded the blonde girl with golden eyes.
"Yeah." Ophelia stands up and stretching her arms. "Tehee~ I can't wait." She sings before waving her finger at Ashido. "May the force be with you." Leaving them alone while carrying Meowstic. She can't go anywhere without Meowstic as her personal navigator.
"Why do I get the feeling she's going to toy her?" Gallade couldn't help but ask worriedly.
Ashido flinched in fear for her next match. She saw Ophelia's fight and it's going to be hard to deal with her. The pink look-alike alien gulps before looking at Ophelia's best friend, Aileen. "Um... Aileen-chan, can you give me some tips?" She asked timidly.
Aileen smiles in sympathy. "Just give it your best shot. All you need to know is that Ophie loves to fool her opponents." She explained and Ashido becomes pale as a sheet. "She would say random percentage to anyone before becoming serious."
"Her rare cold and serious attitude need to look out for." Gallade warned Ashido in a grim tone. "The moment she becomes different, it's going to be hard to deal with it."
"It's like she has a split personality." Midoriya muttered under his breath.
"You should focus your strategy than watching the match." They turned around as Meowstic came back. "Don't get easily fooled by her happy-go-lucky attitude and random movie or series quotes."
"Ye-yeah!" Ashido immediately leaves them to plan carefully for the next match.
"It's like he's the epitome of the middle of the pack! From the hero course, it's Iida Tenya!" Present Mic announced. "Versus-"
"A female fully equipped with support items to fight against Iida! From the support course, it's Hatsume Mei!" Alexa announced.
Meowstic blinks before sighing heavily. "This is going to be an embarrassment match." He commented out loud.
"You don't say..." Gallade muttered while sweat dropping.
"I have a feeling the humanoid Tangela girl... is going to use Tenya as a volunteer to advertise her gadgets." Aileen commented as her head dropped.
"Ho-how did you know Aileen-san?" Midoriya asked her curiously.
"Think about it, Hatsume Mei is from the support course right?" She asked and they nodded their head. "It's obvious she wants to join a group who can make it for the finals. Whoever her opponent is, she'll use them as a Swinub to show off her gadgets."
"She's hoping any hero can catch her equipment attention." Uraraka pointed out and the blue-haired girl nodded her head. "Poor Iida-kun."
"Don't worry, he'll win." Gallade assured the brunette girl.
"That's generally against the rules for those in the hero course." Midnight reminded Iida. "Those who must use equipment needed to petition beforehand."
Iida gasped in shock. "I forgot about that! Aoyama-kun also wore a belt, so I thought it was fine!"
"He submitted a petition." Midnight retorted back in a calm tone.
Crystal is looking at Riko with a deadpanned look on her face. "Your boyfriend is gullible. He couldn't see that girl is using him as a Swinub."
Riko laughs nervously and scratching her head. "I did tell him it's not a good idea to accept her proposal."
Professor Sycamore and Diantha smile nervously at the match between Iida and Hatsume. Hatsume is using Iida as a guinea pig to show off her gadgets.
"I feel sorry for him..." Diantha feels sorry for the blue-haired boy with glasses. "Is it normal to advertise their equipment?"
"That girl is crazy..." Alexa commented and slamming her head.
"What is she a politician?" Professor Sycamore asked out loud. "It's going to be a long match, isn't it?"
After ten minutes of Hatsume's creation. She forfeited the match thus Iida makes it to the next round. Iida despised Hatsume for using him without fighting fairly. He should've listened to his girlfriend's advice in the first place.
"We've gonna keep right on going with the fifth match!" Present Mic announced. "Is something going to come out of those horns? Well? From her hero course, it's Ashido Mina versus-"
"The happy-go-lucky without a care in the world! However, she's full of mischief behind that attitude! From the hero course, it's Ambrosius Ophelia Fay!" Alexa announced and Ophelia smiles with her usual mischief look.
"You're my friend and I won't go easy on you, Fee-chan." Ashido warned her.
"Tehee~ I can say the same thing as you, Mina-chan~" Ophelia giggled and Ashido shivered by her look.
"It's the battle of the girls!" Mineta exclaimed happily. "Beat each other like in those fighting games where their clothes get ripped-ow!" He got shocked by Midoriya's Pikachu.
"That's disgusting and this isn't a stripping contest!" Pikachu growled angrily as sparks appeared on both cheeks.
"I'm off to get myself ready." Aileen spoke up before flicking Midoriya's head. "Somehow, I have a feeling muttering is one of your Quirk, Izuku." She smiles in amusement.
"Ahaha..." Midoriya laughs nervously.
Uraraka smiles in amusement. "Good luck, Ai-chan!"
"Thank you, Ocha." The blue-haired girl waves at them and left.
"Now, why don't we get moving? Fifth match, start!" Alexa declared.
"Here I go, Fee-chan!" Ashido immediately throws acid on her.
Ophelia laughs softly before stopping the acid using her psionic. "You need to be creative, Mina~" Throwing the acid back at her without moving her place.
Ashido flinches in surprise and dodges her acid. She gritted her teeth knowing Ophelia is always one step ahead.
"Ashido-san is completely disadvantage against Ophelia-san." Midoriya muttered under his breath. "She can manipulate and warp the reality at her own will. Ophelia-san loves to fool her opponents because she's using 1% of her power. Does she reads Ashido-san's mind to predict her moves? She can communicate and read through our minds."
"No." Meowstic answered and Midoriya squeals in surprise. "From what you've seen Ophelia's action. She understands the body language and able to tell the next action."
"Your muttering is too loud and we able to catch few about Ophelia." Gallade smiled sheepishly before crossing his arms. "You're able to guess the usage of her power. She's using 1% of her power."
"Why not 100% Gallade-kun, ribbit?" Asui asked the blade Pokemon.
"It's going to be game over for Ashido if she's taking it seriously." He answered. "Despite Ophelia is toying her. She wants everyone to see Ashido's action."
"Since five minutes is up, Ophelia will take her out... now." Meowstic declared and everyone are looking at the match.
Ophelia raises her arms to control Ashido using psionic. She smiles with mischief and chuckled. "Five minutes are up and I win. Checkmate!" Throwing Ashido out of the ring.
"Ashido-chan is out of the bounds. Ambrosius-chan advances to round two!" Midnight declared and the audience roared.
"I notice she always said checkmate, Meowstic-kun. Why does she say it?" Uraraka asked curiously.
"Whenever she said checkmate, it means the game is over." Meowstic answered. "If she's on the battle mode, Ophelia thinks of it as a chess game. It's only Aileen or Clara are able to catch her off guard. That girl is unpredictable and a wild card."
"Damn it, there are no ripping clothes." Mineta wailed before crying out in horror. "Wah! Stop it!" He grips his head and shaking in fear.
"Tehee~ that's one of the punishments for manipulating the females, Mi-ne-ta~" Ophelia flew and lands safely with a wicked smile. "Would you like one as well, Ka-mi-na-ri?"
Kaminari flinched in fear before he shook his head. "No-no-no, I-I-I'm good!" He squeaks in fear by her dark persona.
"What did you to him, Ophelia-san?" Sato asked nervously.
"His thoughts are too loud!" Ophelia whined. "Before the match start, his thought is the loudest about us!" She's going to have nightmares after seeing Mineta's wild side dream. The blonde girl couldn't stop reading their minds sometimes.
"You get into his mind and whatever you cursed him... it gives him a nightmare to remember." Meowstic commented dryly and Ophelia nodded her head happily.
"Yeah!"
"Ophelia-kun ceased this Quirk of yours this instant!" Iida scolded the blonde girl with golden eyes. "You mustn't use your Quirk against your classmate."
"You're no fun, Tenya." Ophelia pouts before snapping her finger. "Oh, well!"
"The next match is Aileen and that sparkle boy." Hoopa came out of nowhere.
"Aileen said in three moves, Aoyama is out." Gallade announced and the mischief Pokemon blinks in surprise.
"For sure to defeat him or just a joke?" Hoopa asked curiously.
"For sure." Meowstic answered. "Where in the Giratana's have you been?"
"I was here and there!" He laughs while closing his eyes. "I'm their fetcher Pokemon for today to help Recovery Girl and Cynthia."
"Since when did you become their personal health fetcher?" Gallade asked while sweat dropping.
"Today!" Hoopa spins and laughs. "I'm also here to watch with you guys! They let me off and can manage by themselves." He'd prefer to watch with them than on tv.
He's also curious why Arceus choose few candidates to be the guardian bearer of his plates. The Mischief Pokemon and the other legendary Pokemon know who they are. The girls from their world aren't the only guardians of Arceus but also two people in here as well. Hoopa also knows Ophelia's origin and refrain from spilling it because of Celebi and Dialga's order.
"Now, we've got no time to lose! Let's move on to the sixth match!" Alexa declared.
"Even though he's wearing a belt, he won't transform! From the hero course, Aoyama Yuga! Versus-" Present is looking at Alexa
"She's calm before the storm! From hero course, Sycamore Aileen Luna!" Alexa yelled happily. "Let the battle begin!"
"No hard feelings mademoiselle!" Aoyama shoots a laser at her.
"I'll make this quicker for you!" She dodges the laser and runs towards him. "Don't get too cocky because that will be your downfall!"
He shoots another laser as Aileens jumps high. "Wha-"
"First dodge, second jump and third is..." She grabs Aoyama using her water whip. "Out of the ring!" Aileen throws him out of the ring before releasing the water.
Aoyama got crashed into the wall and knock out completely. Midnight and the others are surprised she ended it quickly. "Aoyama-kun is out of the bounds! Sycamore-chan is advance to the second round!" She declared.
Aileen exhales softly before walking out of the ring. Hoopa cheered happily. "That girl ended up so fast before we could even blink!" The mischief Pokemon exclaimed.
"Hehe~ that's Lee-lee for you!" Ophelia laughs while clapping. "No time to waste! Aoyama is completely disadvantaged of her skills."
"That was fast to end the match quickly!" Alexa smiles nervously. "Now, we're moving to the seventh match! He's offense and defense in one body. A dark shadow to aid his samurai friend! From the hero course, it's Tokoyami Fumikage! Versus-"
"All purpose creation! She was admitted through recommendations, so her abilities are certified! From the hero course, it's Yaoyorozu Momo!" Present Mic announced. "Seventh match, start!"
"Momo will lose this match immediately." Ophelia declared immediately of the results whereas Aileen nodded her head.
"Seriously?" Ojiro asked with a surprised look on his face.
"Yeah. Time is the key." She answered calmly. "Momo is smart but thinking slower makes her at disadvantage."
"Tokoyami-san, on the other hand, knew Momo wouldn't attack first but to gather information before going to pursuit." Aileen pointed out. "He's fast but she's slow. That's one of her weakness." She explained in a grim tone.
"Yaomomo..." Hagakure and the other girls feel sorry for Yaoyorozu's performance.
Yaoyorozu lost her match before she can fight Tokoyami. She forgot her surroundings and stepping out of the line accidentally.
"She's also lack of awareness of her surroundings because Tokoyami attacks her repeatedly... makes her lost her focus." Ophelia explained while watching Yaoyorozu's defeated look at the match. "Not everything in battle can explain in the books. Sure she's intelligent and calculative but... she's slow and the opponents won't wait to make her move first. Momo would end herself get killed in the field if she's still on that stage."
The three girls learned these types of situations because of their journey. They learn to adapt and improve their skills. They don't want to repeat the mistakes but to use it as a lesson. To improve their actions and behavior.
"That's harsh, Ophelia-san." Kaminari winced at Ophelia's harsh tone.
"It's also the truth." Aileen said it out loud and defended Ophelia. "Her tactics need some improvement. You plan to help her, Ophie?"
"Yeah." Ophelia immediately answered. "I'm going to help her getting improve~!" She declared.
"Let's move on the next match!" Present Mic declared and the screen appeared for the next match. It's the picture of Kirishima and Tetsutetsu with the same pose."The eight match is a match-up between redundant Quirks!" He declared. "Manly and passionate steel! From the hero course, it's Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu! Versus-"
"Manly and passionate hardening! From the hero course, Kirishima Eijiro!" Alexa announced.
"Oh? This is going to be an intense match~" Ophelia hums with a smirk on her face.
"A battle with the similar Quirk." Crystal muttered in a low tone. "That match is going to be hard to determine which ones will win or draw."
"Even their intro and pictures are similar." Scorbunny commented while snickering behind his paw. "It's like a battle of Metapod!"
"A meta-what?" Kendo blinks in surprise.
"Rotom, can you show them the picture of Metapod and explain it, please." Crystal called out her Rotom-dex.
Rotom-dex appeared and showed them the picture of Metapod. Metapod resembles a green chrysalis. Its body is crescent-shaped with several segments making up the lower point. The front of Metapod's shell resembles a face with heavy-lidded eyes and a sharply pointed nose. The back of its shell consists of several geometrically shaped portions and projections.
"Metapod, the Cocoon Pokemon. Metapod's vulnerable body is surrounded by its hard shell, which protects it while it waits to evolve." Rotom-dex explained.
"This is going to be a long fight." Scorbunny groaned in annoyance.
Aileen and Ophelia went inside of the room waiting number 2. "Yohoo~ can we crash the party?" Ophelia asked happily and Aileen sighs heavily.
"Ah! Fee-chan and Ai-chan!" Uraraka is surprised to see them both.
"Ah, Tenya and Izuku are here too." Aileen blinks her eyes before looking at the burned notebook. "You guys are planning to defeat Bakugou?"
"Yeah but I reject Deku-kun's offer to help me, Ai-chan." Uraraka answered and the girls aren't surprised by her decision.
"You're scared and terrified to fight against Bakugou." Ophelia spoke up softly before holding Uraraka's hand. "It's normal to feel scared."
"Yeah. How can we become fearless if we don't have fear?" Aileen asked softly. "I admit, Bakugou's strong and he's a thirst to fight anyone."
"If it means to reach the top high." She nodded her head in Aileen's direction. "I know you're scared and feel intimidated because he's more powerful than you. So what if he is strong? Are you going to forfeit the match?"
"No! I won't!" Uraraka declared and gripping Ophelia's hand. "I always admire you guys, mostly at you, Ai-chan." She's looking at Aileen's purple eyes.
"Eh? I am?" Aileen asked while blinking her eyes.
"Yeah. Even if you're scared to face horror events... you overcome the situation and manage to end it successfully." Uraraka answered and smiles softly. "I remembered during the Prism Tower, you jumped off the building without thinking twice to save Gallade."
"Ocha..."
"I will do my best and see you guys in the finals." Uraraka declared with a determined look on her face.
Ophelia sees her future and refrains to reveal the results. She wanted Uraraka is going to use this match as a lesson. To help her improve and catching them up.
